A new species of Eusiridae, Eusirus liui sp. nov. is described from a hydrothermal vent on Okinawa Trough, North-West Pacific. The new species differs from the other 30 congeneric species mainly by the following combination of characters: the acute rostrum reaching to 1/3 the length of peduncular article 1 of antenna 1; the absence of eyes; pleonite 3 without acute protrusion on dorsal margin, and the posterior margin of epimeron 3 with 18 serrations. A key to all known Eusirus species is provided herein. This is the fourth species within the Eusiridae that has been found from vent fields.

A new species of Stegocephalidae, Parandania unicoxae sp. nov., is reported from hydrothermal vents in the Okinawa Trough. It is the fourth species described in the genus Parandania Stebbing, 1899. The new species is most similar to P. boecki (Stebbing, 1888), but it can be readily distinguished from P. boecki by the unilobate coxae 6-7.

One individual referable to Calliopiidae G.O. Sars, 1893 was collected from a chemically reduced habitat, the hydrothermal vent systems in Okinawa Trough, and was identified as a new genus and species belonging to this family after a morphological examination. A formal description of this new species and a discussion of the relationship of the new genus within Calliopiidae are presented.

A new species of deep-water barnacle belonging to the family Scalpellidae is described from the western central Pacific. Based on the presence and absence of radial stripes on the surfaces of the plates, the 23 species of the genusAmigdoscalpellumcan be divided into two groups. In the species group with radial stripes, the new species here described,A. dorsituberculatumsp. nov., differs from other species by the dorsal part of the carina being round and arched, the roof without lateral ribs and median furrow; the infra-median latus wider triangular, its length on the basal margin greater than its height; and by the vestigial form of the caudal appendage. A key to the species ofAmigdoscalpellumis provided.

Seba longimerasp. nov., of the family Sebidae Walker, 1908, is described from hydrothermal vents in Okinawa Trough. Other two congenic species, S. bathybia Larsen, 2007 and S. profundus Shaw, 1989, are also reported from these hydrothermal vents, but the new species can be readily distinguished from them in having the merus of pereopods 5 and 6 extending beyond distal margin of carpus, coxa 4 smaller than coxae 2 and 3, and coxa 5 with the posterior lobe larger than the anterior one, rather than equilobate.

A new species of the neoverrucid barnacle genusNeoverrucaNewman, 1989,N. intermediasp. nov., collected from a hydrothermal vent area in the Okinawa Trough, is described and illustrated. It differs fromN. brachylepadoformisNewman, 1989 by the apical end of the inner surface of the movable scutum being in a pocket-form, with a longitudinal groove upwards, and without median ridges; the adductor ridge (or myophore) of the fixed scutum stout and the inner distal part of the scutum without longitudinal ridge.

A total of 5 species of the genus Kamaka (Crustacea: Amphipoda) are identified from Hainan Province, South China Sea. In those, one species, Kamaka excavata Ariyama, 2007, is recorded for the first time in Chinese waters. Two new species, Kamaka corophina sp. n. and Kamaka foliacea sp. n., are described. A key to the Chinese species is provided. They were collected from littoral zone, mud flat in seaweed of mangrove side, brackish water and seawater, sifted out with sieve.

A new species of deep-water barnacle that belongs to the family Scalpellidae is described from the South China Sea. Arcoscalpellum liui sp. nov. is morphologically similar to Arcoscalpellum gryllum Zevina, but differs from the latter by the absence of longitudinal striae on the capitular plates and the presence of caudal appendages with few terminal setae.

Amphipods collected from the Yangtze estuary, Shanghai, China are described as a new species, Sinocorophium dongtanense. It is closely allied to Sinocorophium homoceratum Yu, 1938 but differs markedly in the inner lateral side of peduncular article 4 of male antenna 2 having two rows of teeth.

A new pedunculate barnacle, Probathylepas faxian gen. and sp. nov., is described from a hydrothermal vent in the Okinawa Trough. A new scalpelliform family, Probathylepadidae, is also proposed for the new genus and species. Probathylepadidae differs from all other five families of the order Scalpelliformes by the capitulum bearing eight primal plates and two whorls of imbricating supplementary plates, and the peduncle being without scales. The relationships between the species of the new family and sessile barnacles are also discussed.
