Current-induced spin torques provide efficient data writing approaches for magnetic memories. Recently, the spin splitting torque (SST) was theoretically predicted (R. Gonz\'alez-Hern\'andez et al. Phys. Rev. Lett. 126, 127701 (2021)), which combines advantages of conventional spin transfer torque (STT) and spin-orbit torque (SOT) as well as enables controllable spin polarization. Here we provide the experimental evidence of SST in collinear antiferromagnet RuO2 films. The spin current direction is found to be correlated to the crystal orientation of RuO2 and the spin polarization direction is dependent on (parallel to) the N\'eel vector. These features are quite characteristic for the predicted SST. The present study is motivated by the shock response of a nano-cantilever component in nano-scaled electromechanical system (NEMS). For this purpose, the mechanical properties of a cantilevered nano-beams subjected to impact load are presented for the first time. Our work is concerned with the special moment that the impact deformation gets most and the impact velocity reduces to zero. The nonlocal theory proposed by Eringen is applied to reveal the nonlocal effect involved in impact behaviors at nano-scale. To this end, the classical impact stress is determined first using the law of conservation of energy. Subsequently, the nonlocal impact stress is obtained from the nonlocal constitutive equation and clamped-free boundary constraints of cantilevered nano-beams, where an imaginary equivalent symmetrical nano-structure is constructed to solve the unknown coefficients in general solution of stress of nonlocal field. The bending moment in nonlocal theory is gained from the stress of nonlocal field and the deflection in nonlocal field under impact load is calculated. Finally, the nonlocal dynamical load coefficient is derived via the maximal nonlocal impact deflection divided by the corresponding traditional static deflection at free edge. In numerical examples, the maximal stress of nonlocal field, the maximal nonlocal impact deflection, and the nonlocal dynamical load coefficient are calculated, respectively, to show the significant nonlocal small-scale effect in cantilevered nano-beams subjected to impact load. The conclusion is that the nonlocality plays a remarkable role in nano-scaled impact behaviors and it cannot be neglected. The existence of scale coefficient decreases the nonlocal impact stress, deflection, and dynamical load coefficient. On the contrary, the impact velocity results in a higher nonlocal impact stress, deflection, and dynamical load coefficient. With increasing the scale coefficient, the nonlocal effect increases and the strengthening physical manifestation of nano-structural equivalent stiffness becomes even more pronounced. The results reported herein are expected to provide a useful reference for understanding the scale effect in dynamic impact that often occurs in the working process of NEMS.

Bi(1+x)Fe0.95Mn0.05O3 thin films with different bismuth contents (abbreviated as B1+xFMO, x = − 0.05, 0, 0.05, 0.1) were fabricated by chemical solution deposition on ITO/glass substrates. The effects of Bi nonstoichiometry on the microstructure, leakage current, ferroelectric and dielectric properties of BFMO films are investigated. The B1.05FMO and B1.1FMO thin films possess single perovskite structure, while the secondary phase of Bi2Fe4O9 can be observed in BFMO and B0.95FMO thin films. Compared with the other three samples in this work, drastically reduced leakage current can be found in B1.05FMO. For each film, the dominant conduction mechanisms are the Ohmic conduction and the space charge limited conduction at lower electric fields and the interface-limited Fowler–Nordheim tunneling at higher electric regions, respectively. Among the B1+xFMO films (x = − 0.05, 0, 0.05, 0.1), the B1.05FMO film possesses significantly improved electrical properties, reflected by a large remanent polarization (Pr ~ 68.3 µC/cm2), lower dielectric loss (tanδ ~ 0.02), large dielectric constant (er ~ 210) and high tunability (88%). These results suggest that the 5 mol% excess of Bi is the prior content to get better insulation, optimize ferroelectric as well as dielectric properties of BiFeO3 film, giving reference to modify electrical performances of ferroelectric materials through regulation of volatile element.

Two-dimensional (2D) ferromagnetic (FM) semiconductors are highly desirable in next generation spintronic devices. Herein, we report an intrinsic FM semiconductor, an FeI3 monolayer which can be exfoliated from its bulk crystal owing to the small cleavage energy and the high in-plane stiffness. The FeI3 monolayer is dynamically and mechanically stable. Additionally, the FeI3 monolayer has sizable magneto-crystalline anisotropy energy (MAE) and the Curie temperature is higher than the liquid-nitrogen temperature (77 K), and there is a big discrepancy (Δcbm) between the conduction band minimum of the two spin-channels and negligible thermally induced hop. Carrier doping less than 0.1 e per unit cell further improves the relevant properties by modulating the MAE, Curie temperature, and Δcbm. Moreover, the isoelectronic analogue FeI1.5Cl1.5 monolayer is a bipolar FM semiconductor with a high Curie temperature (260 K). Our results demonstrate promising applications of the FeI3 monolayer in next-generation spintronic devices owing to its robust intrinsic ferromagnetism and novel semiconducting properties.

Increasing evidence indicated that N6-methyl-adenosine (M6A) played a key role in a variety of pathophysiological processes. Methylases could promote the processing of mature mi-RNA in a M6A-dependent manner, thereby participating in the pathological cells' occurrence and development. However, the regulatory mechanism of M6A in atherosclerosis (AS) was still unclear.Quantificational Real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the relative expression levels of M6A, methyltransferase, demethylase transferase, miR-19a and other mi-RNA in atherosclerotic vascular endothelial cells (ASVEC). Cell Counting Kit (CCK8) was used to detect cell proliferation, the expression of PCNA was measured by Western Blot (WB) and qRT-PCR. Transwell assays were used to detect the invasion ability of ASVEC. Co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) was used to detect the binding of METTL14 to DGCR8. RNA Immunoprecipitation (RIP) was used to detect the binding of METTL14 to miR-19a.M6A modification levels and METTL14 methylation transferase were significantly overexpressed in ASVEC. Silencing METTL14 inhibited the proliferation and invasion of ASVEC. Low expression of METTL14 suppressed the binding of methylated RNA and RNA splicing related protein DGCR8. Moreover, silencing METTL14 significantly inhibited the expression of miR-19a while promoted the expression of primary pre-miR-19a. However, high expression of METTL14 obviously increased the expression of DGCR8 and methylated m6A. Furthermore, silencing miR-19a inhibited the proliferation and invasion of ASVEC.METTL14 increased the M6A modification of pri-miR-19a and promoted the processing of mature miR-19a, thus promoting the proliferation and invasion of ASVEC. These results suggested that METTL14/ M6A/ miR-19a signaling pathway may be a new target for atherosclerosis treatment.

Recently, we hypothesized that supraspinal structures may have important functions in discriminating between noxious mechanically and heat mediated nociception through distinct functions: facilitation and inhibition. In this study, conducted in conscious rats, we explored the role of different thalamic nuclei: the mediodorsal (MD) nucleus, the central medial (CM) nucleus, the submedius (SM) nucleus, the ventralmedial (VM) nucleus and the ventral posterolateral (VPL) nucleus, in the descending control of secondary and contralateral mechanical hyperalgesia and heat hypoalgesia occurring in intramuscularly hypertonic (HT, 5.8%) saline-induced muscle nociception. We found that the MD nuclei participated in the descending facilitation of mechanical hyperalgesia, and that the VM nuclei were specifically involved in the descending inhibition of heat hypoalgesia. Neither descending facilitation nor descending inhibition was affected after electrolytic lesion of the thalamic CM, SM, and VPL nuclei. This descending facilitatory and inhibitory modulation of nociception was strengthened by glutamate, and weakened by GABA, microinjected into the thalamic MD and VM nuclei. It is suggested that (1) thalamic MD nucleus and VM nucleus form two distinct endogenous systems in the control of noxious mechanically and heat evoked responses, and (2) the strengthening of descending inhibition and the weakening of descending facilitation by means of up regulation and down regulation of appropriate receptor expression in the VM and MD nuclei may provide a new strategic policy in treating pathological pain.

By using the first-principles density functional theory, we calculate the partial charge densities and STM images for the intradimer di-σ and interdimer end-bridge adsorption configurations of ethylene on Ge(001). Our simulated STM images show the effects of ethylene adsorption and clarify that, although STM images and surface structures evolve as the adsorption sites of ethylene on Ge(001), the molecular orbitals of the bare Ge atoms always remain the dominating electronic states near the Fermi level. For the di-σ model, the display of such dominance in STM images is, however, damped by the preferred tunneling paths between the tip and the electronic states of ethylene due to their short tunneling distances. In comparison, the distance between the tip and the end-bridge bound C2H4 molecules is not so short relative to the distance between the tip and the up-Ge atoms of the bare Ge−Ge dimer; hence, the dominance of bare up-Ge atoms can still be found in the STM images at low bias voltages. Low yield is a common problem in litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.) production. Fertilization is an important factor that affects the yield. Knowing the nutritive patterns is the basis for optimized fertilization. In the study, 'Feizixiao' was used. A autumn shoots from three cycles of flush growth after harvest were sampled and divided into three sections corresponding to the three flushes, i.e. the primary flush shoot, the secondary flush shoot and the tertiary flush shoot. Leaves, stalks, xylem and phloem of each section were separated, and their N, P and K contents were analyzed in order to reveal the change patterns of the nutrients in various organs in different flushing shoots and to provide theoretical basis for nutrient management in litchi. The results showed that the changes in NPK contents in shoot sections were different. The contents of NPK in the last flush shoot significantly decreased at the pre-blossoming stage, while those in the primary flush shoot hardly changed. After harvest, the content of P in the leaves and stalks of the primary flush shoot and the secondary flush shoot decreased significantly, but that in the tertiary flush shoot had no change. Change patterns in NPK contents in different organs or tissues were different. NPK contents in the phloem were relatively stable. Contents of NK in leaves significantly decreased to low values at the pre-heading stage and the pre-blossoming stage, and the contents of PK in stalks also significantly decreased at the two stages. After harvest, the N contents in leaves and stalks rose while PK contents in them continued to decline. The N content in xylem significantly increased at the pre-heading stage, but the PK contents significantly decreased, and only P content significantly declined at the pre-blossoming stage, while NP contents significantly rose after harvest. The change patterns of the contents of different element were different. In the five major phenophases of litchi, the K content in different organs basically declined with development, while N and P contents fluctuated. The NPK contents in different organs were different. The NPK content was the highest in leaves t; P content was the highest in the xylem and leaves; N and K contents were the highest in xylem, and K content was the most abundant in the stalks and phloem.

The adsorption of ethylene on the Ge(001) surface is investigated by the first principles density-functional calculations. Our total energy calculations and reaction path investigations clarify the relative importance of various adsorption configurations at 0.5 and 1.0 monolayer adsorption coverage. The results are consistent with the experimental data in the literature in that both the di-σ and paired-end-bridge configurations are the favorable structures on Ge(001). In addition, our calculation results clarify that having di-σ-bound ethylene and end-bridge-bound ethylene next to each other is unfavorable. Such new results imply that although di-σ-bound ethylene and end-bridge-bound ethylene may coexist on Ge(001), phase separation will occur to form adsorbate domains. The electronic structures have also been studied, and the band structure calculations show that both the di-σ and end-bridge models at 0.5 monolayer are semiconducting with a small band gap of ∼0.4 eV, which is slightly larger than the ban...

A partial-wave analysis of the reaction π − p → η η π − p at 18 GeV/c has been performed on a data sample of approximately 4000 events obtained by Brookhaven experiment E852. The J P C = 0 − + π ( 1800 ) state is observed in the a 0 ( 980 ) η and f 0 ( 1500 ) π decay modes. It has a mass of 1876 ± 18 ± 16 MeV / c 2 and a width of 221 ± 26 ± 38 MeV / c 2 . The J P C = 2 − + π 2 ( 1880 ) meson is observed decaying through a 2 ( 1320 ) η . It has a mass of 1929 ± 24 ± 18 MeV / c 2 and a width of 323 ± 87 ± 43 MeV / c 2 . Both states are potential candidates for non-exotic hybrid mesons.

The status of spin-exotic mesons is reviewed. There is now compelling evidence for at least three π1 states between one and two GeV. Preliminary results from the reaction π−p → π+π+π−π−π0p show structure in the exotic waves corresponding to IGJPC = 0−2+−.

This Letter reports results from the partial wave analysis of the π−π−π+η final state in π−p collisions at 18 GeV /c . Strong evidence is observed for production of two mesons with exotic quantum numbers of spin, parity and charge conjugation, JPC=1−+ in the decay channel f1(1285)π−. The mass M=1709±24±41 MeV /c 2 and width Γ=403±80±115 MeV /c 2 of the first state are consistent with the parameters of the previously observed π1(1600). The second resonance with mass M=2001±30±92 MeV /c 2 and width Γ=333±52±49 MeV /c 2 agrees very well with predictions from theoretical models. In addition, the presence of π2(1900) is confirmed with mass M=2003±88±148 MeV /c 2 and width Γ=306±132±121 MeV /c 2 and a new state, a1(2096), is observed with mass M=2096±17±121 MeV /c 2 and width Γ=451±41±81 MeV /c 2 . The decay properties of these last two states are consistent with flux tube model predictions for hybrid mesons with non-exotic quantum numbers.

Postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMO) is the most common metabolic bone disease in women after menopausal. Recent works focused on crossmdash;talk between immune regulation and bone metabolism pathways and suggested Treg cells suppressed bone resorption and osteoclasts (OC) differentiation in bone marrow via cellmdash;cell contact interaction and/or secreting of ILmdash;10 and TGFmdash;beta. In this study, we investigated the impact of estrogen on regulatory T cells (Treg cells) trafficking and staying in bone marrow and we found that a significant reduction of Treg cell population in bone marrow in estrogen deficiency ovariectomied (OVX) mice. We then studied the expressions of chemokines CXCL12/CXCR4 axes, which were critical to Treg cells migration and our data show the expression of CXCR4 on Treg cells was relative with oestrogen in vivo, however, the expression of CXCL12 was not. Furthermore, the loss of trafficking ability of Treg cells in OVX mice was recoverable in our system. These findings may mechanistically explain why Treg cells lose their suppressive functions on the regulation of OC cells and demonstrate a previously unappreciated role for estrogen, which may be critical to the novel therapy in clinical practice of PMO patients.

To explore the value of morphological classification in predicting malignant transformation in multiple exostoses (ME).The imaging data of 116 patients (totally 190 tumors) with ME were retrospectively analyzed. All the tumors were pathology confirmed after surgical resection, including 175 exostoses from 101 patients, and 15 exostotic chondrosarcomas in 15 cases. Based on the ratio of diameter between tumor tip and tumor base (R1), tumors were classified into two types: cauliflower-like tumor (R1 ≥ 1.0) and non-cauliflower-like tumor (R11.0). In addition, non-cauliflower-like tumors were further classified into two subtypes according to the ratio of tumor height to tumor base diameter: sessile type (R21.0) and pedunculated type (R2 ≥ 1.0). The relationship between tumor shape and malignant transformation was studied.Of all the 175 exostoses from 101 patients, 27 were cauliflower-like tumors and 148 were non-cauliflower-like tumors. Of all the 15 exostotic chondrosarcomas in 15 cases, most tumors were cauliflower-like (c2 = 38.0075, p0.05). Cauliflower-like tumor for the prediction of exostotic chondrosarcoma, the sensibility, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value were 86.7%, 84.6%, 32.5%, 98.7%, respectively.Tumor malignant transformation was more common in cauliflower-like tumors than in non-cauliflower-like tumors. The morphological classification and preventive resection of cauliflower-like tumors maybe helpful in preventing the malignant transformation of ME.

An amplitude analysis of an exclusive sample of 5765 events from the reaction {pi}{sup -}p{yields}{eta}{prime}{pi}{sup -}p at 18 GeV/c is described. The {eta}{prime}{pi}{sup -} production is dominated by natural parity exchange and by three partial waves: those with J{sup PC}=1{sup -+} , 2{sup ++} , and 4{sup ++} . A mass-dependent analysis of the partial-wave amplitudes indicates the production of the a{sub 2}(1320) meson as well as the a{sub 4}(2040) meson, observed for the first time decaying to {eta}{prime}{pi}{sup -} . The dominant, exotic (non-q{bar q}) 1{sup -+} partial wave is shown to be resonant with a mass of 1.597{+-}0.010{sup +0.045}{sub -0.010} GeV/c{sup 2} and a width of 0.340{+-}0.040{+-}0.050 GeV /c{sup 2} . This exotic state, the {pi}{sub 1}(1600) , is produced with a t dependence which is different from that of the a{sub 2}(1320) meson, indicating differences between the production mechanisms for the two states.

Purely leptonic decays of the charged D meson have been studied using the reaction e + e − →D ∗+ D − at a center of mass energy of 4.03 GeV. A search was performed for D→μνμ recoiling against a D0 or D+ which had been reconstructed from its hadronic decay products. A single event candidate was found in the reaction e + e − →D ∗+ D − , where D ∗+ →π + D 0 with the D0→K−π+, and the recoiling D− decaying via D − →μ − ν μ . This yields a branching fraction value B(D→μνμ)=0.08−0.05−0.02+0.16+0.05%, and a corresponding value of the pseudoscalar decay constant fD=300−150−40+180+80 MeV.

The absolute inclusive branching fraction of D_s^+→φX^+ has been measured from data collected by the BES detector at a center-of-mass energy of 4.03 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 22.3 pb^(-1). At this energy, direct pair production e^+e^-→D_s^+D_s^- has been observed. We have selected D_s candidate events by reconstructing five hadronic decay modes D_s^+→φπ^+, K^(0*)K^+, K^0K^+, f0^(π+) and K^0K^-π^+π^+ and have searched for inclusive φ’s in the recoiling D_s^-. We observed three recoiling φ’s in the 166.4 ± 31.8 D_s candidate events, which leads to the absolute branching fraction B(D_s^+→φX^+)=(17.8(-7.2 -6.3)^(+15.1+0.6)) % and B(D_s-6.3+→φπ-6.3+)=(3.6_(-1.6 -1.3)(^_3.1+0.4) %. The BES experiment at the Beijing electron-positron collider has observed the $\ensuremath{\xi}$(2230) signal in ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, ${K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, ${K}_{S}^{0}{K}_{S}^{0}$, and $p\overline{p}$ final states with $4.6\ensuremath{\sigma}$, $4.1\ensuremath{\sigma}$, $4.0\ensuremath{\sigma}$, and $3.8\ensuremath{\sigma}$ statistical significances, respectively. The new observations of two nonstrange decay modes of $\ensuremath{\xi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and $p\overline{p}$ are important evidence for the glueball interpretation of the $\ensuremath{\xi}(2230)$.

The Beijing Spectrometer (BES) Collaboration has observed exclusive pair production of D_s mesons at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider (BEPC) at a center-of-mass energy of 4.03 GeV. The D_s mesons are detected in the φπ^+, K¯^(*0)K^+, and K¯^0K^+ decay modes; two fully reconstructed events yield the value (3.9_(-1.9-1.1)^(+5.1+1.8))% for the D_s branching fraction to φπ. This is the first direct, model-independent measurement of this quantity.

The cross sections for e+e− → hadrons, e+e−, μ+μ− have been measured in the vicinity of the J Ψ resonance using the BES detector operated at BEPC. The partial widths for J Ψ to hadrons, electrons, muons and the total width have been determined to be Γh = 74.1 ± 8.1 keV, Γe = 5.14 ± 0.39 keV, Γμ = 5.13 ± 0.52 keV, and Γ = 84.4 ± 8.9 keV, respectively.

Micron-sized rectangular ferromagnetic bars have a variety of spin excitations, including a quasi-uniform mode, horizontal and vertical standing spin-wave modes, and edge and corner modes. When driven by a strong microwave field, these modes differ from those found in the linear regime. For example, the resonance field or frequency becomes amplitude dependent. We study the nonlinear spin dynamics in such microstrips, both experimentally and theoretically, for a geometry where the static magnetic field is perpendicular to the plane of the sample. Experimentally, it is found that, at a fixed microwave frequency, the resonance field for the uniform mode is significantly reduced as the microwave power is increased. In contrast, the resonance fields for the standing horizontal spin-wave modes are only slightly reduced. This behavior is confirmed theoretically using micromagnetic calculations, and an intuitive explanation for this behavior is developed.

Power system information integration requires for the realization of open access, data sharing and data combination among all kinds of application systems. As a standard transmission format, XML provides methods for describing structural data, has capability of data self-description and is independent of platform. These characteristics are fit for information exchange in power system. According to the current applications in power system, the isomeric data types in power automation application systems are analyzed and classified by different causes. Taking video monitoring system as example, the paper focuses on principles and methods for information exchange in power system using XML techniques. The characteristics of data modeling are firstly analyzed and the principles of data modeling are illustrated. According to practical power automation system and properties of XML, the potential applications in information exchange of power system are proposed. A partial-wave analysis of the mesons from the reaction $\pi^{-}% p\to\pi^{+}\pi^{-}\pi^{-}\pi^{0}\pi^{0}p$ has been performed. The data show $b_{1}\pi$ decay of the spin-exotic states $\pi_{1}(1600)$ and \ $\pi_{1}(2000)$. Three isovector $2^{-+}$ states were seen in the $\omega\rho^{-}$ decay channel. In addition to the well known $\pi_{2}(1670)$, signals were also observed for $\pi_{2}(1880)$ and $\pi_{2}(1970)$.

It is well known that the muscle spindle is a receptor of muscle's tension and length, it plays an important role in maintaining the muscle's tension. The aim of the present study is to compare the cross-section area (CSA) and the immunoreactivity of conjugated-ubiquitin in soleus extrafusal and intrafusal fibers after simulated-microgravity in order to demonstrate the role of muscle spindle in muscle atrophy induced by simulated microgravity.
