Meta-lens has successfully been developed for a variety of optical functions. We demonstrate a light-field edge detection imaging system with a gallium nitride achromatic meta-lens array. It enables edge detection from one dimension to three dimensions. The designed meta-lens array consists of 60 by 60 achromatic meta-lenses, which operate in the visible range from 400 to 660 nm. All of the light field information of objects in the scene can be captured and computed. The focused edge images from one dimension to three dimensions are extracted with depth estimation by image rendering. Three dimensions edge detection is two dimensions edge imaging with depth information. The focused edge images can be obtained by the sub-image reconstruction of the light field image. Our multidimensional edge detection system by achromatic meta-lens array brings novel advantages, such as broadband detection, data volume reduction, and device miniaturization capacity. Results of our experiments show new insight into applications of biological diagnose and robotic vision.

In this article, some results on the complete f-moment convergence for randomly weighted sums of extended negatively dependent (END, for short) random variables are established. BACKGROUND:Although canonical Wnt signaling is known to promote tumorigenesis in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), a cancer driven principally by mutant K-Ras, the detailed molecular mechanisms by which the Wnt effector β-catenin regulates such tumorigenesis are largely unknown. We have previously demonstrated that β-catenin's differential usage of the Kat3 transcriptional coactivator cyclic AMP-response element binding protein-binding protein (CBP) over its highly homologous coactivator p300 increases self-renewal and suppresses differentiation in other types of cancer. AIM/METHODS:To investigate Wnt-mediated carcinogenesis in PDAC, we have used the specific small molecule CBP/β-catenin antagonist, ICG-001, which our lab identified and has extensively characterized, to examine its effects in human pancreatic cancer cells and in both an orthotopic mouse model and a human patient-derived xenograft (PDX) model of PDAC. RESULTS/CONCLUSION:We report for the first time that K-Ras activation increases the CBP/β-catenin interaction in pancreatic cancer; and that ICG-001 specific antagonism of the CBP/β-catenin interaction sensitizes pancreatic cancer cells and tumors to gemcitabine treatment. These effects were associated with increases in the expression of let-7a microRNA; suppression of K-Ras and survivin; and the elimination of drug-resistant cancer stem/tumor-initiating cells.

A novel two‐parameter sensor is proposed based on the abrupt taper and micro‐arc Michelson interferometer (MI) in single‐mode fiber. When there is a regular change in the liquid level or temperature, the phase difference changes, and the spectral intensity or wavelength of the interfering valleys of this sensor is directionally shifted. This study enriches the construction of MI and provides a new perspective on liquid level measurement. We experimentally explored the sensor's sensing performance over temperature and liquid level: this sensor's temperature sensitivity and liquid level sensitivity were up to 62.9 pm/°C and 0.2896 dB/mm, respectively. In addition, this sensor is characterized by compactness, simplicity, low cost, and high reliability, and it is suitable for measurement of liquid level and temperature, expanding the application field of MI.
