Abstract Background The role of miR-145-5p in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has been studied, however, the regulation of hBMSCs-derived exosomes (Exo) transmitted miR-145-5p in NSCLC was still unknown. This study aimed to investigate the role of hBMSCs-derived exosomes (Exo) in the progression of NSCLC. Methods The Exo was extracted from hBMSCs and added to A549 and H1299 cell culture, followed by the detection of cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. The correlation between the expression of miR-145-5p and SOX9, as well as their binding relationship was determined by correlation analysis, luciferase gene reporter assay and RNA pull-down assays. The in vivo animal model was established to further verify the impact of hBMSCs-Exo. Results It showed that miR-145-5p was downregulated and SOX9 was upregulated in NSCLC tissues. HBMSCs-derived Exo, and hBMSCs-Exo with overexpression of miR-145-5p could inhibit cell proliferation, migration, and invasion of both A549 and H1299 cells, and prevent against tumor progression in vivo. MiR-145-5p and SOX9 were found to be able to bind to each other, and a negative correlation were observed between the expression of them in NSCLC tissues. Furthermore, inhibition of SOX9 could reversed the suppressed role of miR-145-5p in vitro and in vivo. Conclusion Therefore, HBMSCs-Exo effectively transmitted miR-145-5p, leading to the suppression of malignant development in NSCLC through the regulation of SOX9.

Objective To examine the levels of systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI) and serum lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) in patients with acute carbon monoxide poisoning (ACOP), and to explore the predictive value of SIRI, Lp - PLA2 and their combination for delayed encephalopathy after acute carbon monoxide poisoning (DEACMP). Methods Total 265 patients with ACOP diagnosed and treated in Harrison International Peace Hospital of Hebei Medical University, The Second People's Hospital of Hengshui and The No.4 People's Hospital of Hengshui from March 2020 to March 2023 were included. SIRI and serum Lp-PLA2 levels were measured. According to the occurrence of DEACMP, they were divided into DEACMP group (n = 32) and non -DEACMP group (n = 233), while according to the degree of poisoning, they were divided into mild poisoning group (n = 20), moderate poisoning group (n = 107) and severe poisoning group (n = 138). Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analyses were used to screen the risk factors of DEACMP in patients with ACOP, and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was drawn to evaluate the predictive efficacy of SIRI, Lp - PLA2 and their combination for DEACMP. Results The levels of SIRI (t = 13.068, P = 0.000) and serum Lp-PLA2 (t = 8.208, P = 0.000) in DEACMP group were higher than those in non-DEACMP group, and their levels gradually increased with the severity of poisoning, the levels of SIRI (t = 8.764, P = 0.000; t = 4.586, P = 0.000) and Lp-PLA2 (t = 3.726, P = 0.000; t = 2.038, P = 0.044) in the severe poisoning group and moderate poisoning group were higher than those in the mild poisoning group, and the levels of SIRI and serum Lp-PLA2 in the severe poisoning group were also higher than those in the moderate poisoning group (t = 10.294, P = 0.000; t = 2.700, P = 0.007). Logistic regression analysis showed the severe poisoning (OR = 11.695, 95%CI: 4.893-39.994; P = 0.000), SIRI increased (OR = 1.600, 95%CI: 1.033-2.476; P = 0.001) and Lp - PLA2 increased (OR = 11.302, 95%CI: 1.486-38.933; P = 0.000) were risk factors of DEACMP in patients with ACOP. ROC curve showed that area under the curve (AUC) predicted by Lp-PLA2, SIRI and their combination were 0.82 (95%CI: 0.754-0.894, P = 0.000), 0.82 (95%CI: 0.739-0.895, P = 0.000) and 0.87 (95%CI: 0.805-0.934, P = 0.000), sensitivity were 0.66, 0.72 and 0.84, specificity were 0.85, 0.88 and 0.90, respectively. The prediction efficiency of Lp-PLA2 combined with SIRI was better than that of Lp- PLA2 (t = 2.198, P = 0.027) or SIRI (t = 2.268, P = 0.023) alone. Conclusions DEACMP is easy to occur when SIRI and serum Lp-PLA2 were high in patients with ACOP. The combined detection of Lp-PLA2 and SIRI can be used for early screening of DEACMP.

The resulting problem engages two major difficulties: the first one is that the associated functional is strongly indefinite, and the second lies in verifying the link geometry and showing the boundedness of Cerami sequences. Our results extend and complement the present ones in the literature.

Dissolved organic matter (DOM) is a pivotal determinant for wastewater discharge compliance standards. A comprehensive analysis of the molecular composition of DOM is imperative for its efficient removal. In this study, wastewater from a natural gas purification plant was investigated. Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICR MS) and three-dimensional excitation-emission-matrix spectra (3D-EEMs) were employed to analyze the fluorescence properties, molecular composition, mass-to-charge ratio, and molecular transformations of DOM during the oxidation process at molecular level. The 3D-EEM results indicated wastewater was dominated by humic substances, followed by fulvic acid substances. O3/H2O2 oxidation reduced the fluorescence intensity of humic substances, while DOM degradation was constrained by the reaction characteristics of ozone with electron-rich organic compounds. In contrast,the O3/H2O2-Fenton combined oxidation significantly reduced the overall fluorescence intensity, and effectively removed humic-like substances. FT-ICR MS results revealed that O3/H2O2 oxidation removed part of CHO and CHON type DOM, while the removal efficiency for CHOS and CHONS types was less pronounced. Polycyclic aromatic and highly unsaturated compounds were transformed into aliphatic compounds by ozone, with increase of the oxygen content of CHO type DOM. O3/H2O2-Fenton oxidation exhibited superior removal efficiency for CHOS and CHONS type DOM, which almost eliminated polyphenolic compounds and generated DOM with lower oxygen content and higher saturation. Furthermore, the combined oxidation process significantly mitigated ultrafiltration membrane fouling with removing a substantial portion of reversible and irreversible fouling.

Abstract Background Macrophage activation syndrome (MAS), an example of secondary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, is a potentially fatal complication of rheumatic diseases. We aimed to study the clinical and laboratory characteristics, treatment schemes, and outcomes of different rheumatic disorders associated with MAS in children. Early warning indicators of MAS have also been investigated to enable clinicians to make a prompt and accurate diagnosis. Methods Fifty-five patients with rheumatic diseases complicated by MAS were enrolled between January 2017 and December 2022. Clinical and laboratory data were collected before disease onset, at diagnosis, and after treatment with MAS, and data were compared between patients with systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA), Kawasaki disease (KD), and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). A random forest model was established to show the importance score of each variable with a significant difference. Results Most (81.8%) instances of MAS occurred during the initial diagnosis of the underlying disease. Compared to the active stage of sJIA, the platelet count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and fibrinogen level in sJIA-MAS were significantly decreased, whereas ferritin, ferritin/erythrocyte sedimentation rate, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, lactate dehydrogenase, and D-dimer levels were significantly increased. Ferritin level, ferritin/erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and platelet count had the greatest predictive value for sJIA-MAS. The level of IL-18 in the sJIA-MAS group was significantly higher than in the active sJIA group, whereas IL-6 levels were significantly lower. Most patients with MAS were treated with methylprednisolone pulse combined with cyclosporine, and no deaths occurred. Conclusions Thrombocytopenia, ferritin levels, the ferritin/erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and elevated aspartate aminotransferase levels can predict the occurrence of MAS in patients with sJIA. Additionally, our analysis indicates that IL-18 plays an important role in the pathogenesis of MAS in sJIA-MAS.

Abstract Introduction Over the decades the trends of early onset of puberty have been observed in children, particularly in girls. Research evidence has reported diet to be among the most important risk factors for puberty onset. This study evaluated the association between dietary behavior and puberty in girls. Methods We enrolled 201 girls with the main complaints of breast development as the cases at the Endocrine Department of Nanjing Children's Hospital. The cases were divided into breast development with central priming and breast development without central priming groups and were matched with 223 normal health girls with no breast development (control group). We used the modified Child Eating Behavior Questionnaire (CEBQ) to conduct a face-to-face interview about dietary behavior. Sample t-test or Mann Whitney U test or Chi-square test, the analysis of variance or Kruskal Wallis test, and least significant difference (LSD) were used to compare differences between the groups, Bonferroni was used to correct the p-value, and logistic regression was used to analyze risk factors for puberty onset. Results A total of 424 girls participated in this study, among them, 136 were cases with breast development with central priming, 65 were cases with breast development without central priming, and 223 were normal health girls with no breast development. Manipulating the propagation of mid-infrared (mid-IR) light is crucial for optical imaging, biosensing, photocatalysis, and guiding photonic circuits. Artificially engineered metamaterials were introduced to comprehensively control optical waves. However, fabrication challenges and optical losses have impeded the progress. Fortunately, two-dimensional van der Waals (vdW) materials are alternatives because of their inherent optical properties, such as hyperbolic behavior, high confinement, low loss, and atomic-scale thickness. In this research, we conducted theoretical and numerical investigations on the α-phase molybdenum trioxide, a biaxial vdW material, with patterned graphene to assess the potential of the tunable focusing of mid-IR light. Our proposed method directly alters the path of excited light to focus mid-IR light by negative refraction. Further, the patterned graphene in our design offers enhanced focusing characteristics, featuring a significantly reduced waist diameter with 1/92 of the free-space wavelength, an enhanced beam quality without pronounced field ripples, and a fivefold increase in field intensity. Moreover, our approach significantly preserves the waist diameter of the focused beam while facilitating directional steering. Thus, the focused beam can propagate in a canalized manner toward the desired direction. These advancements lay the foundation for promising applications in planar photonics.

Abstract During a routine physical examination three years ago, a 47-year-old woman received a diagnosis of a nodule in her right upper lung. Since then, she has been regularly attending outpatient clinic appointments for follow-up. Over time, the nodule has shown gradual growth, leading to a suspicion of lung cancer. Through the use of enhanced CT imaging, a three-dimensional reconstruction was performed to examine the bronchi and blood vessels in the patient’s chest. This reconstruction revealed several variations in the anatomy of the anterior segment of the right upper lobe. Specifically, the anterior segmental bronchus (B3) was found to have originated from the right middle lung bronchus. Additionally, the medial subsegmental artery of the anterior segmental artery (A3b) and the medial segmental artery (A5) were observed to share a common trunk. As for the lateral subsegmental artery of the anterior segmental artery (A3a), it was found to have originated from the right inferior pulmonary trunk. Furthermore, the apical subsegmental artery of the apical segmental artery (A1a) and the posterior segmental artery (A2) were found to have a shared trunk.

Objective To develop and validate a nomogram prediction model for the early diagnosis of active pulmonary tuberculosis (ATB) based on LASSO regression. Methods A total of 403 patients with ATB admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Kunming between March 2021 and March 2023 were used as the experimental group, and 175 cases of healthy physical examiners during the same period were selected as the control group. General information and laboratory test results of patients were collected, variables were screened using LASSO regression based on R software, and multivariable logistic regression was performed. A nomogram model of ATB was established based on the results of multivariable analysis, and internal validation was performed using receiver operating curve (ROC) and calibration curves, while clinical utility analysis using clinical decision curves. Results A total of 19 potential risk factors were screened by LASSO regression, namely C-reactive protein (CRP), haptoglobin (HAP), immunoglobulin G (IgG), absolute number of CD4+ lymphocytes (CD4+), ratio of CD4+ lymphocytes to CD8+ lymphocytes (CD4+/CD8+), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-17, lymphocyte percentage (LYM%), monocyte percentage (MON%), eosinophil percentage (EOS%), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), mean red blood cell volume (MCV), platelet count (PLT), red blood cell distribution width-standard deviation (RDW-SD), neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet large cell ratio (PLCR). Multirariable analysis showed that CRP (OR=1.352, 95%CI: 1.134-1.612), IL-6 (OR=1.165, 95%CI: 1.032-1.315),IL-8 (OR=1.105, 95%CI: 1.019-1.198), IL-10 (OR=1.544, 95%CI: 1.066-2.235), EOS% (OR=1.386, 95%CI: 1.105-1.737), MCV (OR=1.154, 95%CI: 1.051-1.737), PLT (OR=1.025, 95%CI: 1.013-1.037), and MCHC (OR=0.899, 95%CI: 0.854-0.946) were the independent risk factors for ATB. According to the nomogram, the ROC was plotted and showed that AUC of ATB risk predicted by model was 0.982 (95%CI: 0.973-0.991), the calibration curve results showed that the predicting probability of ATB risk by the nomogram model was basically consistent with the actual probability, and the results of decision curve analysis showed that when the probability threshold of the nomogram model predicting the risk of ATB was more than 0.05, the net benefit value of the patients was greater than 0. Conclusion The risk of ATB increases with increasing levels of CRP, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, EOS%, MCV, PLT and decreasing levels of MCHC. The nomogram prediction model based on the above factors can be used for the early diagnosis of ATB.

Abstract Background Clusters, a novel hierarchical material structure that emerges from atoms or molecules, possess unique reactivity and catalytic properties, crucial in catalysis, biomedicine, and optoelectronics. Predicting cluster energy provides insights into electronic structure, magnetism, and stability. However, the structure of clusters and their potential energy surface is exceptionally intricate. Searching for the global optimal structure (the lowest energy) among these isomers poses a significant challenge. Currently, modelling cluster energy predictions with traditional machine learning methods has several issues, including reliance on manual expertise, slow computation, heavy computational resource demands, and less efficient parameter tuning. Results This paper introduces a predictive model for the energy of a gold cluster comprising twenty atoms (referred to as Au20 cluster). The model integrates the Multiple Strategy Fusion Whale Optimization Algorithm (MSFWOA) with the Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM), resulting in the MSFWOA-LightGBM model. This model employs the Coulomb matrix representation and eigenvalue solution methods for feature extraction. Additionally, it incorporates the Tent chaotic mapping, cosine convergence factor, and inertia weight updating strategy to optimize the Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA), leading to the development of MSFWOA. Subsequently, MSFWOA is employed to optimize the parameters of LightGBM for supporting the energy prediction of Au20 cluster. Conclusions The experimental results show that the most stable Au20 cluster structure is a regular tetrahedron with the lowest energy, displaying tight and uniform atom distribution, high geometric symmetry. Compared to other models, the MSFWOA-LightGBM model excels in accuracy and correlation, with MSE, RMSE, and R2 values of 0.897, 0.947, and 0.879, respectively. Additionally, the MSFWOA-LightGBM model possesses outstanding scalability, offering valuable insights for material design, energy storage, sensing technology, and biomedical imaging, with the potential to drive research and development in these areas. Lily bulbs, which have both nutrient storage and reproductive functions, are a representative group of plants for studying the maintenance and transfer of plant-associated microbiomes. In this study, a comparison of the microbial composition of bulbs and their regenerated seedlings cultured under aseptic conditions, as well as subcultured seedlings that succeeded five times, was examined by amplicon sequencing. A total of 62 bacterial taxa and 56 fungal taxa were found to be transferred to the 5th generation in seedlings, which are the core microbiome of lily. After the regeneration of seedlings from bulbs, there was a significant increase in the number of detectable microbial species, and after 1, 3, and 5 successive generations, there was a decrease in the number of detectable species. Interestingly, some “new” microorganisms appeared in each generation of samples; for instance, 167 and 168 bacterial operational taxonomic units (OTUs) in the 3rd and 5th generations of seedlings that were not detected in either bulbs or seedlings of the previous two generations. These results suggest that bulbs can maintain a high diversity of microorganisms, including some with ultra-low abundance, and have a high transfer capacity to tuck shoots through continuous subculture. The diversity and maintenance of the microbiome can provide the necessary microbial reservoir support for regenerating seedlings. This habit of maintaining low abundance and high diversity may be biologically and ecologically critical for maintaining microbiome stability and function due to the sequestration nature of the plant.

Abstract Background Childhood obesity became a severe public health challenge, and insulin resistance (IR) was one of the common complications. Both obesity and IR were considered as the basis of metabolic disorders. However, it is unclear which common key metabolites are associated with childhood obesity and IR. Methods The children were divided into normal weight and overweight/obese groups. Fasting blood glucose and fasting insulin were measured, and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance was calculated. Liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry was applied for metabonomic analysis. Multiple linear regression analysis and correlation analysis explored the relationships between obesity, IR, and metabolites. Random forests were used to rank the importance of differential metabolites, and relative operating characteristic curves were used for prediction. Results A total of 88 normal‐weight children and 171 obese/overweight children participated in the study. There was a significant difference between the two groups in 30 metabolites. Childhood obesity was significantly associated with 10 amino acid metabolites and 20 fatty acid metabolites. There were 12 metabolites significantly correlated with IR. The ranking of metabolites in random forest showed that glutamine, tyrosine, and alanine were important in amino acids, and pyruvic‐ox‐2, ethylmalonic‐2, and phenyllactic‐2 were important in fatty acids. The area under the curve of body mass index standard deviation score (BMI‐SDS) combined with key amino acid metabolites and fatty acid metabolites for predicting IR was 80.0% and 76.6%, respectively. Conclusions There are common key metabolites related to IR and obese children, and these key metabolites combined with BMI‐SDS could effectively predict the risk of IR.

Abstract Background DNA methylation is a form of epigenetic modification that impacts gene expression without modifying the DNA sequence, thereby exerting control over gene function and cellular development. The prediction of DNA methylation is vital for understanding and exploring gene regulatory mechanisms. Currently, machine learning algorithms are primarily used for model construction. However, several challenges remain to be addressed, including limited prediction accuracy, constrained generalization capability, and insufficient learning capacity. Results In response to the aforementioned challenges, this paper leverages the similarities between DNA sequences and time series to introduce a time series-based hybrid ensemble learning model, called Multi2-Con-CAPSO-LSTM. The model utilizes multivariate and multidimensional encoding approach, combining three types of time series encodings with three kinds of genetic feature encodings, resulting in a total of nine types of feature encoding matrices. Convolutional Neural Networks are utilized to extract features from DNA sequences, including temporal, positional, physicochemical, and genetic information, thereby creating a comprehensive feature matrix. The Long Short-Term Memory model is then optimized using the Chaotic Accelerated Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm for predicting DNA methylation. Conclusions Through cross-validation experiments conducted on 17 species involving three types of DNA methylation (6 mA, 5hmC, and 4mC), the results demonstrate the robust predictive capabilities of the Multi2-Con-CAPSO-LSTM model in DNA methylation prediction across various types and species. Compared with other benchmark models, the Multi2-Con-CAPSO-LSTM model demonstrates significant advantages in sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, and correlation. The model proposed in this paper provides valuable insights and inspiration across various disciplines, including sequence alignment, genetic evolution, time series analysis, and structure–activity relationships.

Elevated serum uric acid (UA) level is related to type 2 diabetic retinopathy (DR). Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), and cystatin C (Cys-C) have involvement in type 2 DR complicated with hyperuricemia (HUA) (HUDR), and we explored their clinical values in HUDR. Type 2 DR patients were allocated into HUDR/DR groups, with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients as the control group. Serum VEGF and inflammation markers hs-CRP, and Cys-C levels were assessed by ELISA and immunoturbidimetry. The correlations between serum UA level and VEGF/hs-CRP/Cys-C were analyzed by Pearson tests, diagnostic values of VEGF/hs-CRP/Cys-C were analyzed by receiver operating characteristic curves, and the independent risk factors in HUDR were analyzed by logistic multivariate regression. Serum VEGF/hs-CRP/Cys-C level differences among the T2DM/DR/HUDR groups were statistically significant, with the levels in HUDR > DR > T2DM. Serum UA level in HUDR patients was positively correlated with serum VEGF/hs-CRP/Cys-C. Serum VEGF/hs-CRP/Cys-C assisted in HUDR diagnosis, with their combination showing the greatest diagnostic value. UA/FPG/HbA1C/VEGF/hs-CRP/Cys-C were independent risk factors for HUDR. The incidence of proliferative DR was increased in HUDR patients. Collectively, serum VEGF, hs-CRP, and Cys-C levels in HUDR patients were increased, and HUA might promote DR progression.

Precise and fast acquisition of shale porosity is important for the prediction of the spatial distribution of shale oil and the exploration target. To address the problem of low accuracy of porosity prediction using logging response equation， a porosity prediction model based on random forest algorithm is established， and the prediction accuracy is compared with those of BP neural network， support vector machine， and XGBoost algorithm， and the importance and influence range of logging parameters are analyzed by SHAP method. The results show that the random forest algorithm can better predict shale porosity， and the prediction effect is better than BP neural network， support vector machine， and XGBoost algorithm； the application of shale porosity prediction based on random forest algorithm in a depression in Bohai Bay Basin finds that the top three most important logging parameters for model prediction of porosity are compensation neutron， natural gamma， and ordinary apparent resistivity； the shale porosity prediction model based on random forest algorithm can quickly identify the porosity of a single well， which can not only compensate for the difficulty of obtaining the complete porosity distribution characteristics due to the inability of continuous coring but also significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of porosity prediction.

Hidden disaster causing factor is the key issue that restricts the construction of intelligent coal mining. The 3D geological modeling is the main technical means to achieve transparency of hidden disaster causing factors. At present, the 3D geological modeling technology of coal mines mainly relies on geometric modeling and attribute modeling as a supplement, lacking disaster attribute modeling for hidden disaster causing factors. In order to solve the above problems, taking a coal mine in northern Shaanxi as the research object, the 3D geological modeling is conducted on hidden disaster causing factors such as coal seam thickness, roof and floor structural undulations, waterlogged areas, and shallow coal seam topography. Firstly, the digitization of geological data, geophysical exploration, drilling and other achievements are completed. The coal mine geological database is established. Secondly, the DepthInsight modeling software is used to carry out modeling work from two scales: the entire mine and the working face. The drilling layer data is used as the stratigraphic control point, and the stratigraphic sequence is jointly controlled through coal seam and surface contour lines, virtual drilling, and other data. The layer crossing anomalies in the initial layer model is processed. The ground level model and geological body model are constructed. The digital elevation model is used to construct the surface model of the working face. Thirdly, rock mass modeling is used to construct models of goaf and waterlogging areas, and temperature, gas and other information are annotated. The actual mining measurement data of the working face is used to construct a mining measurement model. Finally, the truncated grid model is created. The permeability and water-rich coefficient model of the aquifer is generated through sequential Gaussian simulation to achieve transparent display of hidden hydrological disaster causing factors in the area. Based on a 3D geological model, the distribution and impact of hidden disaster causing factors are analyzed from multiple perspectives such as strata, coal seams and working faces, goaf and its waterlogged areas, and hydrological attributes. The research results can provide a target area for the precise management of hidden disaster causing factors in coal mines, and assist in the construction of intelligent mining in coal mines.

BackgroundPrevious studies showed that per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which are widely found in the environment, can disrupt endocrine homeostasis when they enter the human body. This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate current human epidemiological evidence on the relationship between PFAS exposure and glucolipid metabolism in childhood and adolescence.MethodsWe searched PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases, and identified population-based epidemiological studies related to PFAS and glucolipid metabolism indexes that were published before 30 December 2022. The heterogeneity of the included literature was assessed using the I-square (I2) test and statistics Q. Random-effects and fixed-effects models were used to combine the effect size. Subgroup analysis based on age and sex of the study participants was performed. A sensitivity analysis was used to evaluate the robustness and reliability of the combined results. Egger’s and Begg’s tests were used to analyze publication bias.ResultsA total of 12 studies were included in this analysis. There was a positive association between PFAS and TC (β = 1.110, 95% CI: 0.601, 1.610) and LDL (β = 1.900, 95% CI: 1.030, 2.770), and a negative association between PFAS and HOMA-IR in children and adolescents (β = −0.130, 95% CI: −0. 200, −0.059). PFOS was significant positive associated with TC (β = 8.22, 95% CI: 3.93, 12.51), LDL (β = (12.04, 95% CI: 5.08, 18.99), and HOMA-IR (β = −0.165, 95% CI: −0.292, −0.038). Subgroup analysis showed that exposure to PFAS in the adolescent group was positively associated with TC and LDL levels, and the relationship was stronger in females.ConclusionPFAS exposure is associated with glucolipid metabolism in children and adolescents. Among them, PFOS may play an important role. Recognition of environmental PFAS exposure is critical for stabilizing the glycolipid metabolism relationship during the growth and development of children and adolescents.

Recently, the application and optimization research of intelligent algorithms in the monitoring and evaluation system of teaching mental health has been focused on. Many countries cannot avoid that with the rapid development of the urban economy, the mental health of Chinese people is ignored without knowing it. This phenomenon is more obvious in today’s campuses, especially in colleges and universities. Although the campus is equipped with a psychological counseling office, most students choose to give up because they can’t face themselves in a bad mood. Traditional random checks and individual conversations have no good effect. The intelligent algorithm developed in the new era is inevitably applied to the detection and evaluation of teaching psychological health. However, the intelligent algorithm at this stage cannot meet the requirements of teaching mental health monitoring and evaluation, because the data collection and processing are not completed through the matching intelligent algorithm, but directly through the algorithm DC method. The data collection will cause certain errors, and the data processing and output will inevitably be biased. This research is a kind of optimized intelligent algorithm system that can be applied to the monitoring and evaluation of teaching mental health. First, the research introduces and compares several modern intelligent algorithms used in teaching mental health monitoring and evaluation, and then analyzes the main influencing factors of monitoring and evaluation. These factors are integrated into the intelligent algorithm monitoring and evaluation system as key intelligent algorithm research objects, Finally, the optimized monitoring and evaluation system is applied in practice to obtain the corresponding imperfect information performance, and the final optimized result is obtained through further improvement. The results show that in most cases, a certain intelligent algorithm can not fully adapt to the detection and evaluation system, but the combination of different kinds of intelligent algorithms through influencing factors can give play to its advantages, and the final results can also be consistent with the actual. The proposed intelligent algorithm can not only be used in the monitoring and evaluation of teaching mental health but also reflect more monitoring and evaluation of teaching quality. The essence of the intelligent algorithm is to obtain complete data that can reflect reality by exploring the value of various information data. In the future, more joint intelligent algorithms will be proposed, which can adapt to more situations and achieve complete applications in teaching, security, medicine, and other fields.

ObjectiveThis study aims to evaluate inpatient services in 49 tertiary comprehensive hospitals using indicators from the diagnosis related groups (DRG) payment system.MethodDRG data from 49 tertiary comprehensive hospitals were obtained from the quality monitoring platform for provincial hospitals, and relevant indicators were identified. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to compute the weight of each indicator. The rank sum ratio method was used to calculate the weight rank sum ratio (WRSR) value and the corresponding probit value of each hospital. The hospitals were divided into four grades based on the threshold value: excellent, good, fair, and poor.ResultsEight indicators of the 49 hospitals were scored, and the hospital rankings of indicators varied. The No. 1 hospital ranked first in the indicators of “total number of DRG”, “number of groups”, and “proportion of relative weights (RW) ≥ 2”. The WRSR value of the No.1 hospital was the largest (0.574), and the WRSR value of the No. 44 hospital was the smallest (0.139). The linear regression equation was established: WRSRpredicted =-0.141+0.088*Probit, and the regression model was well-fitted (F = 2066.672, p < 0.001). The cut-off values of the three WRSRspredicted by the four levels were 0.167, 0.299, and 0.431, respectively. The 49 hospitals were divided into four groups: excellent (4), good (21), average (21), and poor (3). There were significant differences in the average WRSR values of four categories of hospitals (p < 0.05).ConclusionThere were notable variances in the levels of inpatient services among 49 tertiary comprehensive hospitals, and hospitals of the same category also showed different service levels. The evaluation results contribute to the health administrative department and the hospital to optimize the allocation of resources, improve the DRG payment system, and enhance the quality and efficiency of inpatient services.

This paper uses feature fusion methods to classify the characteristics of dress culture, focusing on the application scope of pixel-level, feature-level, and decision-level. A system for recognizing dress culture classification is constructed by combining machine vision technology, and the support vector machine algorithm is used to solve the nonlinear mapping problem in two-dimensional space. The range of values of support vectors is established by using decision functions to construct a linear hyperplane. The results show that integrating the color system of costume culture and clothing design can lead to new design paths. 70% of the clothing design works have natural color matching, and 60% have color matching that can alter body shape. The research in this paper provides a new reference path for clothing design innovation.

Grain and oil matrix reference materials are commonly used in the evaluation of analysis methods, capability verification, and quality control of laboratory analysis and testing processes, due to the consistent composition with actual samples. They play irreplaceable roles in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results and are important “measuring instruments” in the field of analysis. In recent years, the domestic and international development status, types, and typical applications of reference materials for grain and oil matrices were reviewed in this paper. Based on the analysis of the main problems existing in this field，the demand and trend of the RMs for grain and oil matrices were prospected，which can provide more meaningful reference for the future research on grain and oil RMs.

Xanthoxyletin is a vital plant-derived bioactive coumarin. It has been shown to exhibit anticancer effects against different human cancers. Nonetheless, the anticancer effects of xanthoxyletin against human pancreatic cancer cells have not been evaluated. Against this backdrop, the present study was designed to evaluate the anticancer effects of xanthoxyletin in human pancreatic cancer cells and to decipher the underlying molecular mechanisms. The results revealed a significant (p < 0.05) upregulation of receptor activator of NF-kappaB (RANK), receptor activator of NF-kappaB ligand (RANKL) and osteoprotegerin (OPG) in human pancreatic tissues and cell lines at both transcriptional and translational levels. The administration of pancreatic cancer cells with xanthoxyletin diminished the viability of Capan-2 cells in a concentration-dependent manner and led to a significant decline in RANK, RANKL, and OPG expression. Silencing of RANK and xanthoxyletin treatment declined the viability of Capan-2 pancreatic cancer cells via induction of apoptosis. However, pancreatic cancer cells overexpressing RANK could rescue the growth inhibitory effects. Collectively, xanthoxyletin targets the RANK/RANKL signaling pathway in pancreatic cancer cells to induce cell apoptosis and may prove to be an important lead molecule.

Food safety problems caused by excessive metals have potential health hazards related to people’s heath. The development of rapid detection technology for heavy metals in food is an effective means to prevent food with excessive heavy metals from entering the market. However, the accuracy and stability of the rapid detection of heavy metals in food is difficult to be guaranteed due to the low limit of the target element and the interference of sample matrix after pretreatment. Adsorption materials could have good accumulation on heavy metals, and are effective to remove the matrix of food, which provides technical support for the realization of rapid detection of heavy metals in food. Based on the analysis and summary of the current research on the application of adsorption materials for detecting heavy metals in food, the advantages and disadvantages of adsorption materials including absorbability and limit of detection were discussed, and the development trend in the future was also prospected.

BackgroundWith the development of nuclear energy, spent nuclear fuel reprocessing has generated high-level liquid waste (HLLW) containing large quantities of minor actinides (e.g., Np, Am, and Cm). N,N,N',N'-tetraoctyl-diglycolamide (TODGA), an amide ether extraction agent, has immense potential for the extraction and separation of actinides from HLLW. However, HLLW is characterized by high radioactivity, which can destroy the molecular structure of TODGA and diminish its extraction capacity. In addition, the type of organic medium selected to dilute TODGA has a significant impact on its extraction ability and radiolysis.PurposeThis study aims to evaluate the gamma radiolysis and extraction performance of TODGA in a kerosene medium.MethodsFirstly, several experimental reagent systems were prepared. Organic phase: 50 mmol∙L-1 TODGA/kerosene; aqueous phase: 0~4 mol∙L-1 HNO3; absorbed doses: 5~1 000 kGy by a 60Co gamma-irradiator (3.7×1015 Bq) at room temperature; absorbed dose rates: 0.6 kGy∙h-1 (5~15 kGy) and 5.8 kGy∙h-1 (50~1 000 kGy). Then, ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) and mass spectrometer were used to identify the components in the organic phase and assess the relative concentrations of TODGA and radiolysis products before and after irradiation. Lanthanides (substitutes for actinides) and alkaline earth metals were extracted using TODGA at different absorbed doses (5~100 kGy) and the concentration of metal ions for extraction was 100 μg∙mL-1 in 3 mol∙L-1 HNO3. Finally, after extraction and dilution, the aqueous phase was detected using an inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometer to estimate the lanthanide and alkaline earth metal concentrations.ResultsThe experimental results indicate that the concentration of TODGA steadily increases with increasing concentrations of HNO3 at a radiation dose of 1 000 kGy. The radiolysis rate of TODGA in the acid-free solution is >80%. Compared to the acid-free solution, the degree of radiolysis can be inhibited at approximately 8% (adding 0.5~3 mol∙L-1 HNO3) and 18% (adding 4 mol∙L-1 HNO3). Moreover, with an increase in the absorbed doses, the concentration of TODGA decreases in the studied systems. The radiolysis rate of TODGA is estimated to be 10%~40% when the absorbed dose was less than 100 kGy. However, it increases dramatically and reaches over 70% at 1 000 kGy. Breaking the ether bond results in the radiolysis of TODGA, generating two types of radiolysis products (C18H37NO2 and C18H37NO). HNO3 alters the radiolysis path, and breaking of the octyl side chain occurs with the appearance of another radiolysis product (C28H56N2O3). TODGA exhibits extremely poor extraction affinity for Sr, and the extraction rate decreases from 25% to non-extraction at an absorbed dose of 100 kGy. However, TODGA achieves approximately 100% lanthanide extraction (Ce, Eu, and Dy).ConclusionsTODGA has low radiation resistance in a kerosene medium at an absorbed dose of 1 000 kGy. Its radiolysis can be inhibited by the addition of HNO3; a higher concentration of HNO3 leads to a stronger inhibitory effect. The radiolysis of TODGA is insignificant within a 100 kGy absorbed dose, particularly in the range of 50~100 kGy. The molecular structure of TODGA is susceptible to breaking of its ether bond owing to gamma rays or radicals produced by kerosene. These findings demonstrate that TODGA can maintain the ability to extract lanthanides after irradiation at an absorbed dose of up to 100 kGy. Thus, it can be inferred that TODGA has a good extraction capacity for actinides in kerosene under the studied conditions.

As China enters a deep aging society, falls and fall-related injuries in older adults have gained increased attention, with increasing emergence of relevant studies, and continuous updates in relevant guidelines. In 2022, The World Falls Task Force assembled 96 experts from 39 countries to develop the World Guidelines for Falls Prevention and Management for Older Adults: a Global Initiative. The guidelines were developed using the person-centered methodology and the latest evidence on e-health for the prevention of falls, with full consideration of the needs of fall management of older adults, and their caregivers and other stakeholders' perspectives on preventing falls in older adults, as well as the guideline applicability in various care settings and locations with limited resources, which provide new clinical recommendations on the screening, assessment, and management of risk for falls among community-dwelling older adults. This paper offers an in-depth interpretation of the guidelines and an analysis of the effective practical guidance in the guidelines, providing practical guidance for Chinese physicians, nurses and community health workers to prevent and manage falls in older adults.

AbstractBackground Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are widely used for industrial and commercial purposes and have received increasing attention due to their adverse effects on health.Objective To examine the relationship of serum PFAS and glycometabolism among adolescents based on the US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.Methods General linear regression models were applied to estimate the relationship between exposure to single PFAS and glycometabolism. Weighted quantile sum (WQS) regression models and Bayesian kernel machine regressions (BKMR) were used to assess the associations between multiple PFASs mixture exposure and glycometabolism.Results A total of 757 adolescents were enrolled. Multivariable regression model showed that Me-PFOSA-AcOH exposure was negatively associated with fasting blood glucose. WQS index showed that there was marginal negative correlation between multiple PFASs joint exposure and the homeostasis model of assessment for insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) (β = −0.26, p

Biological sequence data mining is hot spot in bioinformatics. A biological sequence can be regarded as a set of characters. Time series is similar to biological sequences in terms of both representation and mechanism. Therefore, in the article, biological sequences are represented with time series to obtain biological time sequence (BTS). Hybrid ensemble learning framework (SaPt-CNN-LSTM-AR-EA) for BTS is proposed. Single-sequence and multi-sequence models are respectively constructed with self-adaption pre-training one-dimensional convolutional recurrent neural network and autoregressive fractional integrated moving average fused evolutionary algorithm. In DNA sequence experiments with six viruses, SaPt-CNN-LSTM-AR-EA realized the good overall prediction performance and the prediction accuracy and correlation respectively reached 1.7073 and 0.9186. SaPt-CNN-LSTM-AR-EA was compared with other five benchmark models so as to verify its effectiveness and stability. SaPt-CNN-LSTM-AR-EA increased the average accuracy by about 30%. The framework proposed in this article is significant in biology, biomedicine, and computer science, and can be widely applied in sequence splicing, computational biology, bioinformation, and other fields.

Aiming at the problem of insufficient sensitivity of existing fault location methods when single-phase grounding fault occurs in resonant grounding system of active distribution network, a fault location algorithm based on Manhattan average distance and cosine similarity is proposed. Firstly, the neutral point grounding method of distributed generator (DG) is defined and the influence of DG access is analyzed. Secondly, the transient zero-sequence current at both ends of each section of the fault feeder is decomposed by wavelet packet. Then the amplitude similarity is calculated by Manhattan average distance, and the waveform difference is compared based on cosine similarity. As a result, a comprehensive similarity criterion is constructed, and the fault section can be distinguished by comparing with the set threshold. Finally, the simulation model is built in DIgSILENT PowerFactory. Simulation result shows that the proposed method can locate faults accurately under different fault locations, different fault moments and different transition resistances.

ObjectiveTo investigate the Alzheimer-associated neurofilament protein （AD7c-NTP） in urine of middle-aged and elderly people and its correlation between common metabolites.MethodsA total of 1 150 middle-aged and elderly people who did their physical exmanination in the health examination center of the Sichuan Science City Hospital and the Third Hopital of Mianyang were recruited from March 2017 to March 2020. The level of urine AD7c-NTP were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA）， and common metabolites in blood were measured by biochemical analyzer. Based on urine AD7c-NTP level ≤1.5 ng/mL， the objects was divided into normal group （n=956） and elevated group （n=194）. Thier demographic data and blood biochemical indicators were collected.ResultsThe urine AD7c-NTP level in middle-aged and elderly people was 0.60（0.30~1.20） ng/mL. The urine AD7c-NTP level was higher in women than that in men ［1.04（0.40~1.30） ng/mL vs. 0.84（0.30~1.00） ng/mL， Z=4.202， P˂0.01］. And the urine AD7c-NTP level was lower in the normal group than that in the elevated group ［0.50（0.30~0.90） ng/mL vs. 2.10（1.70~2.10） ng/mL， Z=22.035， P˂0.01］. The results of the univariate comparison showed that， the differences between the two groups in age （Z=6.545）， fasting glucose （Z=3.506）， blood uric acid （Z=2.574）， urea nitrogen （Z=2.891）， creatinine （Z=2.243）， total bilirubin （Z=3.936）， glutathione （Z=0.969）， total cholesterol （t=3.956） and low density lipoprotein （Z=-5.678） were were statistically significant （P˂0.05 or 0.01）. Spearman correlation analysis showed that， the urine AD7c-NTP level was positively correlated with age and the levels of urea nitrogen， glucose， total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein （r=0.177， 0.178， 0.171， 0.109， 0.149， P˂0.01）， and negatively correlated with the level of total bilirubin （r=-0.172， P˂0.01）.Conclusionthe urine AD7c-NTP level in middle-aged and elderly females was signifitcantly higher than in middle-aged and elderly males.The urine AD7c-NTP level of middle-aged and elderly people was positively correlated with age， urea nitrogen， glucose， total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein， and negatively correlated with total bilirubin.

Food supervision sampling is an important technical support of food safety supervision. It is the difficult and key point to make correct food classification and make correct judgment according to relevant standards. This paper summarizes the problems in food classification and technical judgment for 3 types of food including tea and its products， candies and grain products， aiming to provide reference for sampling inspection stuff. It can ensure the accuracy of food classification， reduce the risk of false judgment and improve the efficacy of sampling inspection.

Background: To uncover the diagnostic potential of peripheral blood microRNA-200b (miRNA-200b) in renal interstitial injury in diabetic nephropathy (DN) patients. Methods: A total of 50 diabetes subjects, 50 mild DN subjects, 50 moderate-severe DN subjects and 50 healthy subjects were included. Peripheral blood level of miRNA-200b in every subject was detected by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Serum levels of renal function indicators were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Meanwhile, relative levels of fibrosis damage indicators were examined by chemiluminescent immunoassay. Diagnostic potentials of miRNA200b in diabetes, mild DN and moderate-severe DN were assessed by depicting receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Results: Peripheral blood level of miRNA-200b was higher in DN subjects than diabetes subjects without vascular complications, especially moderate-severe DN patients. Peripheral blood level of miRNA-200b in DN subjects was negatively correlated to relative levels of serum creatinine, urinary nitrogen, cystatin, TGF-b, CIV and PCIII. ROC curves demonstrated diagnostic potentials of miRNA-200b in mild and moderate-severe DN. Conclusions: Peripheral blood level of miRNA-200b is closely linked to the degree of renal interstitial injury in DN patients. MiRNA-200b may be a vital indicator in predicting the development of DN.

In this article, we investigate groups in which some primary subgroups are τ\tau -subgroups for a Φ\Phi -regular subgroup functor τ\tau , and we obtain new criteria for the supersolubility or pp-nilpotency of a group.

We develop a model of interaction between photons and electrons in an active vortex field, which can generate a fluorescence spectrum with the characteristics of orbital angular momentum (OAM). In an active optical fiber, our findings generalize the notion of photon–electron interaction and point to a new kind of OAM-mode broad-spectrum light source, which could be interpreted in two processes: one microscopically is the excitation of OAM-carrying photons based on the photon–electron interaction; the other macroscopically is the emission and transmission of a donut-shaped fluorescence in a vortex field with a spiral phase wavefront in a ring-core active fiber. Here we present a straightforward experimental method that the emission of broad-spectrum fluorescence with an OAM feature is actualized and validated in a ring-core erbium-doped fiber. The spectrum has a broad spectral width up to 50 nm. Furthermore, four wavelengths are extracted from the fluorescence spectrum and superimposed with their corresponding Gaussian beams, from which the spiral-shaped interferograms of OAM modes in a broad spectrum are identified with high purity. The application of the OAM-based fluorescence light source may range from classical to quantum information technologies, and enable high-capacity communication, high-sensitivity sensing, high-resolution fluorescence imaging, etc.

Objective To investigate the effect of vacuum sealing pressure drainage（VSD） combined with antibacterial dressing on wound healing and the expression of transforming growth factor β1（TGF-β1） and cyclin D1 in granulation tissue of diabetes foot ulcer after artificial dermis transplantation. Methods From January 2019 to June 2021, 60 patients with diabetes foot who were treated in the Burn and Plastic Surgery Department of General Hospital of Southern Theatre Command were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group randomly(n=30, each). The patients in the control group received artificial dermis transplantation; On the basis of the control group, the patients in the observation group were treated with VSD and alginate dressing. The wound appearance of the two groups was observed. The levels of basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF), epidermal growth factor (EGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in serum, wound area, VAS score, and the levels of cyclin D1, TGF-β1 in wound tissue were measured. The exudates of the two groups were cultured for bacteria. Results The patients were followed up for 3 months. During the follow-up period, there was no ulcer recurrence in the observation group, but 5 cases in the control group. The scar hyperplasia of the patients in the observation group was light, and the skin had better elasticity and integrity. After treatment, the wound area of both groups was reduced, and that of the observation group was less than that of the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment, the coverage area and coverage rates of granulation tissue in the two groups were increased compared with those before treatment, and the observation group were higher than the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment, the VAS scores of patients in both groups decreased(P＜0.05), and the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum bFGF, EGF and VEGF in the two groups increased(P＜0.05), and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group at each time point(P＜0.05). After treatment, 5 strains of bacteria were cultured in the observation group, the bacterial infection rate was 13.33%(4/30), and 9 strains were cultured in the control group, the bacterial infection rate was 36.67%(11/30). The bacterial infection rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment, the levels of cyclin D1 and TGF-β1 in wound tissues of both groups increased, and those in the observation group waere higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion VSD combined with antibacterial dressing has a significant effect on wound healing of diabetes foot ulcer after artificial dermis transplantation, which can increase the levels of Cyclin D1 and TGF-β1 in granulation tissue of patients, and increase the levels of bFGF, EGF and VEGF in serum.

Foamy viruses belong to the Spumaretrovirinae subfamily member of the Retroviridae family and produce nonpathogenic infection to hosts in the natural conditions. However, infections of foamy viruses can dramatically cause severe cytopathic effects in vitro. To date, the exact molecular mechanism has remained unclear which implied the tremendous importance of virus-host cell immune reactions. In this study, we found that the transactivator Tas in two foamy viruses isolated from Old World Monkey (OWM) induced obvious inhibition of cell proliferation via the upregulation of Foxo3a expression. It was mediated by the generation of ROS and the initiation of ER stress, and ultimately, the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway was triggered. Notably, PFV Tas contributed to the accumulation of G0/G1 phase cycle arrest induced by the activation of the p53 signaling pathway and the nuclear transportation of HDAC4 via upregulating PPM1E expression. Together, these results demonstrated the different survival strategies by which foamy virus can hijack host cell cytokines and regulate virus-host cell interactions.

For selective separation of 137Cs from high level liquid wastes(HLLWs), a silica based ammonium molybdophosphate(AMP/SiO2) inorganic adsorbent was synthesized by combining the rotary vacuum evaporation method with pore crystallization. The effect of γ-ray, temperature, coexisting ions on the adsorption performance toward Cs(Ⅰ), and chemical stability of AMP/SiO2 was also investigated. The adsorbent, with particle diameter of 90 μm and pore size of 18 nm, has characteristics of nano materials. The obvious decomposition of the AMP/SiO2 occurres about 400 ℃ resulted the decreasing of the (2 2 0) diffraction peak intensity and formation of MoO3. Gamma irradiation causes the transformation of some AMP from crystalline phase to amorphous phase and has less effect on adsorption capacity on Cs(Ⅰ). Abstract Objective Effect of physical exercise on pregnant women currently has become a hot topic in prenatal health care. In this study, A meta-analysis was conducted on account of Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT). It focused on evaluating the effect of physical exercise intervention on blood pressure so that could provide certain evidence for health care during pregnancy. Methods Results of relevant studies were retrieved from PubMed, Embase, Web of Science and the Cochrane Library, and all of these included studies were evaluated according to the Cochrane collaboration’s tool for assessing the risk of bias. Stata 15.1 was used for meta-analysis, and mean difference (MD) was used as statistic for pooled analysis. The effect values were combined by conventional meta-analysis and Bayesian meta-analysis respectively, and the consistency of pooled results was considered as well. Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of emergent carotid artery stenting (CAS) after intracranial artery mechanical thrombectomy for acute internal carotid artery (ICA) stenosis related tandem lesions. Methods A total of 79 patients with acute ICA stenosis related tandem lesions admitted to the Advanced Stroke Center of Zhangzhou Hospital affiliated to Fujian Medical University from January 2015 to December 2019 were selected. All patients underwent urgent endovascular therapy with "half" anterograde approach with or without usage of embolic prevention device (EPD) technology, and divided into CAS group (n=47) and non⁃CAS group (n=32) according to whether CAS was performed in emergency. Compared and analysed the 2 groups of surgical related indexes [including the preoperative Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS), the occlusion site of tandem lesions, the American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology/Society of Interventional Radiology Collateral Flow Grading System (ASITN/SIR ACG), puncture⁃to⁃reperfusion time, leakage on C⁃arm CT, incidence of distal embolism], and the clinical prognostic indicators [including the incidence of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH), culprit artery reocclusion rate, postoperative 90⁃d favorable outcome rate and mortality]. Univariate and multivariate forward Logistic regression were used to analysis the influencing factors of postoperative 90⁃d poor prognosis in acute ICA stenosis related tanchem lesions. Results All 79 patients had immediate postoperative mTICI grading≥2b, the vascular recanalization rate was 100%. There was no statistically significant differences in the preoperative ASPECTS (t=⁃0.170, P=0.865), the occlusion site of tandem lesions (Z=5.907, P=0.091), the ASITN/SIR ACG (t=⁃0.900，P=0.368）, puncture⁃to⁃reperfusion time (t=0.182, P=0.856), leakage on C⁃arm CT (Z=⁃0.171, P=0.864), incidence of distal embolism (χ2=0.872, P=0.350), the incidence of sICH (χ2=1.670, P=0.434), the culprit artery re⁃occlusion rate (χ2=0.000, P=1.000), postoperative 90⁃d favorable outcome rate (χ2=2.149, P=0.143) and the mortality (χ2=0.150, P=0.699) between CAS group and non⁃CAS group. Logistic regression analysis showed that increasing age (OR=1.078, 95%CI: 1.011-1.148; P=0.021), leakage on C⁃arm CT (OR=5.163, 95%CI: 1.633-16.326; P=0.005) were risk factors for postoperaive 90⁃d poor outcomes of the patients with acute carotid atherosclerotic stenosis related tandem lesions. Conclusions For patients with acute ICA stenosis related tandem lesions used "half" anterograde approach with or without usage of EPD technology, the decision of emergent CAS after mechanical thrombectomy was made according to the stenosis degree of ICA and leakage on C⁃arm CT. This strategy is safe and feasible, and has the potential of clinical promotion.

BackgroundModifiable risk factors are major drivers of cardiovascular disease (CVD). We aimed to determine the epidemiological trend and age-period-cohort effects on CVD burden attributable to dietary risks and high body mass index (BMI) across China and Pakistan from 1990 to 2019.MethodsData on the all-ages and age-specific CVD burden, age-standardized CVD mortality and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) rates were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019. Joinpoint regression analysis was conducted to find temporal trends and age-period-cohort (APC) modeling was used to estimate age, period, and cohort effects on CVD burden.ResultsBetween 1990 and 2019, the all-ages CVD burden attributable to dietary risks and high BMI increased by ~2-3-fold in China and by 3-5-fold in Pakistan. The diet-related CVD age-standardized mortality rate (ASMR) and age-standardized disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) rate significantly decreased in China but increased in Pakistan. Both countries showed a marked increasing trend of CVD ASMR and the age-standardized DALYs rate attributable to high BMI. Taiwan in China showed a remarkable reduction in CVD burden. ObjectiveIn children with enthesitis-related arthritis (ERA), the hip and sacroiliac joint function might be impaired if not properly treated. We sought to evaluate the effectiveness of anti-tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) therapy using the inflammatory indicators, Juvenile Arthritis Disease Activity Score 27 (JADAS27) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).MethodsWe conducted a single-center retrospective study of 134 patients with ERA. We evaluated the effect of anti-TNF therapy on the inflammatory indicators, active joint count, MRI quantitative score, and JADAS27 over 18 months. We used the Spondyloarthritis Research Consortium of Canada (SPARCC) and the Hip Inflammation MRI Scoring System (HIMRISS) scoring systems for hip and sacroiliac joints scoring.ResultsThe average age of onset of children with ERA was 11.62 ± 1.95 years, and they were treated with disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) combined with biologics (n = 87, 64.93%). There were no differences in HLA-B27 positivity between the biologics and non-biologics treatment groups [66 (49.25%) vs. 68 (50.75%), P > 0.05]. Children who received anti-TNF (71 received etanercept, 13 adalimumab, 2 golimumab, and 1 infliximab) therapy improved significantly. Children with ERA used DMARDs and biologics at baseline (Group A) were followed up to 18 months, and their active joint count (4.29 ± 1.99 vs. 0.76 ± 1.33, P = 0.000), JADAS27 (13.70 ± 4.80 vs. 4.53 ± 4.52, P = 0.000) and MRI quantitative scores (P = 0.001) were significantly lower than those at baseline. Some of the patients (n = 13, 9.70%) were treated with DMARDs at the onset of the disease, but did not show significant improvement (Group B). The tumor microenvironment is highly immunosuppressive. The genetically modified oncolytic vaccinia virus (OVV) is a promising vector for cancer immunotherapy. The aim of the present study was to assess the antitumor effects of human interleukin-2 (hIL2)-armed OVV in vitro. The hIL2 gene was inserted into a thymidine kinase and the viral growth factor double deleted oncolytic VV (VVDD) to generate recombinant hIL2-armed OVV (rVVDD-hIL2). Viral replication capacity in A549 cells was quantified by plaque titration on CV-1 cells. Production of hIL2 in cancer cells infected by rVVDD-hIL2 was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Finally, 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-arboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium, inner salt (MTS) assay was performed to assess the antitumor effects of rVVDD-hIL2. The results showed that rVVDD-hIL2 viral particles expressed increasing levels of hIL2 in human and murine cancer cell lines with growing multiplicities of infection (MOIs). The insertion of the hIL2 gene did not impair the replication capacity of VV, and the rVVDD-hIL2 virus killed cancer cells efficaciously. The lytic effects of the recombinant oncolytic virus on tumor cells increased with the growing MOIs. In conclusion, these findings suggest that hIL2-armed VVDD effectively infects and lyses tumor cells, with high expression of hIL2.

Abstract Background Precision treatment of pediatric diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) has been the focus of research for decades. Whether the timing of the initiation of dietary intake contributes to DKA correction is ignored. Methods We conducted a retrospective study to investigate the effects of the timing of the initiation of dietary intake on DKA correction in Children’s Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, a tertiary children’s hospital, from June 2017 to December 2020. Individual basic characteristic and clinical information of all DKA cases (n = 183) were collected. Multiple linear regression, logistic regression model and random forest (RF) model were used to assess the effect of the timing of the initiation of dietary intake on DKA correction. Results The mean age of the children diagnosed with DKA was 6.95 (SD 3.82) years. The median DKA correction time and the timing of the initiation of dietary intake was 41.72 h and 3.13 h, respectively. There were 62.3% (n = 114) patients corrected DKA at the end of the 48-h rehydration therapy. Abstract Background Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a class of important regulators in various human cancers, including lung cancer. Here, we aimed to investigate the role of circ_0010235 in lung cancer. Methods The expression of circ_0010235, microRNA‐636 (miR‐636) and PDL1 was measured by quantitative real‐time PCR (qRT‐PCR). Cell proliferation was evaluated by CCK‐8, colony formation, and 5‐ethynyl‐2′‐deoxyuridine (EdU) assays. Cell apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry. Cell invasion was assessed by transwell assay. All protein levels were determined by western blot assay. In order to detect the roles of circ_0010235 in immune escape, lung cancer cells were cocultured with peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) or cytokine‐induced killer (CIK) cells in vitro. The relationship between miR‐636 and circ_0010235 or PDL1 was verified by dual‐luciferase reporter assay and RNA pulldown assay. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analysis was used to detect Ki67 and programmed death‐ligand 1 (PDL1) expression. A xenograft tumor model was established to verify the function of circ_0010235 in vivo. Results Circ_0010235 was overexpressed in lung cancer. Circ_0010235 knockdown inhibited proliferation, invasion and immune escape and promoted apoptosis of lung cancer cells. MiR‐636 was a target of circ_0010235, and miR‐636 inhibition reversed the effects of circ_0010235 knockdown in lung cancer cells. PDL1 was a direct target of miR‐636, and miR‐636 suppressed the proliferation and invasion and increased apoptosis and antitumor immunity in lung cancer cells by downregulating PDL1. Moreover, circ_0010235 positively regulated PDL1 expression by sponging miR‐636. Additionally, circ_0010235 knockdown hampered tumorigenesis in vivo. Conclusion Circ_0010235 knockdown inhibited lung cancer progression and increased antitumor immunity by regulating the miR‐636/PDL1 axis.

Background: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and preeclampsia (PE) are common complications during pregnancy. Studies indicated that abnormal bile acid metabolism is related to its pathogenesis. Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) is the most common pregnancy-specific liver disease, which classic symptoms include generalized pruritus that commonly and biochemical evidence of elevated bile acids. Our study aimed to explore the correlation between the ICP presence and risk of GDM, PE incident in pregnant women. Methods: A meta-analysis, which included 10 eligible studies including 17,688 ICP cases and 1,386,771 controls, was performed to assess the correlation of ICP with preeclampsia (PE) and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). There were 7 studies investigating the relationship between ICP and PE, and 9 studies that evaluated the relationship between ICP and GDM. All eligible studies were screened from Pubmed, Web of Science and EBSCO databases. Results: The results of this meta-analysis indicate that ICP significantly increase the risk for both PE (pooled odds ratio OR: 2.56 95%CI: 2.27 2.88, I2 heterogeneity = 35%, p heterogeneity = 0.16) and GDM (pooled OR: 2.28 95%CI: 1.69 3.07, I2 heterogeneity = 81%, p heterogeneity < 0.001). In the sensitivity analysis of GDM, excluding the largest heterogeneity study cannot change the result (pooled OR: 2.86 95%CI: 2.59 3.16, I2 heterogeneity = 0%, p heterogeneity = 0.56). Conclusions: This meta-analysis shows that ICP is closely associated with ICP increased risk of PE and GDM) during pregnancy.

The traditional Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (OTDR) technology uses back Rayleigh scattering power for fiber detection. In transmission lines with optical amplifier, Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFA) are mostly used to compensate for the loss of signal light and extend the transmission distance of the signal light. Since the EDFA amplifies the signal, it will generate spontaneous radiation noise, and the continuous accumulation of noise will rapidly decrease the signal-to-noise ratio measured by the OTDR. The paper mainly expounds the principle of Coherent Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (C-OTDR) technology. The detected signal optical power is concentrated to the intermediate frequency by the coherent detection method, and most of the noise can be filtered out by band-pass filtering the frequency signal. It can continuously extend the detection distance through the EDFA. We also propose to use the frequency shift keying method to eliminate the optical surge problem caused by the cascade of multi-stage repeaters in long-distance transmission of submarine cables. Through the development of self-developed coherent optical time domain reflectmeter, the actual test of C-OTDR technology in the simulated submarine cable multi-span transmission system has reached 3 000 km, which fully meets practical conditions.
