In this paper, we focus on the generalized Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton (EMD) gravity, including a nonminimal coupling term between the Maxwell field and scalar field. We construct charged lifshitz black holes with scalar hair of EMD gravity in the presence of cosmological constant for various horizon topologies $(k = 0, \pm 1)$. Then, we consider the scalar perturbations of charged Lifshitz black hole solutions and explore quasinormal modes (QNMs) of these black holes. By using the improved asymptotic iteration method (AIM), we recover the effects of factors such as the curvature, mass, and critical dynamic exponent of black holes on the QNMs.

In a generalized parameter space, regular black holes can be regarded as non-singular solutions under specific parameters in Einstein gravity theory coupled with non-linear electromagnetic fields. Following this concept, we investigate the thermodynamic states and phase transitions of Bardeen-AdS-class black holes, revealing that the system can be classified into two categories, Type I and Type II, based on whether it adopts a pure Bardeen-AdS spacetime without event horizons or a Bardeen-AdS black hole as its phase state, each exhibiting distinct thermodynamic properties. If one includes the Bardeen-AdS black holes in the system (Type I), there will be three distinct black hole states and the phase transitions between them are analogous to the Reissner-Nordstrom-AdS black holes. On the other hand, if the pure Bardeen-AdS spacetime is included (Type II), an additional tiny black hole state emerges. A phase transition reminiscent of the Hawking-Page transition was found. Significantly, in this scenario, thermodynamical characteristic curves exhibit discontinuous behavior, which attributes to the multiple horizons. The presence of a Bardeen-AdS black hole within the phase structure of the Bardeen-AdS-class black hole profoundly modifies the thermodynamical properties of the system, highlighting the novel aspects of regular black holes., Comment: 18 pages, 11 figures

In this work, we discuss the generalized Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton gravity theory with a nonminimal coupling between the Maxwell field and scalar field. Considering different geometric properties of black hole horizon structure, the charged dilaton Lifshitz black hole solutions are presented in 4-dimensional spacetimes. Later, utilizing the Wald Formalism, we derive the thermodynamic first law of black hole and conserved quantities. Among the study of black hole thermodynamics, topology offers a novel approach and perspective for classifying black hole systems. In this work, we explore the thermodynamical topology of the quantum BTZ black hole by employing the concept of the generalized free energy. To fully characterize the thermodynamics, we introduce two distinct topological numbers. The first one is determined by an expression, denoted by $z$, derived from the free energy. Although it can provide us with some local physical explanations, sufficient physical significance still lacks from a global perspective. On the other hand, the second topological number is based on the entropy expression of the generalized free energy, leading to a more meaningful interpretation of its physical implications. This result highlights the natural choice of entropy as the domain variable for the generalized free energy. Regarding the second topological number, our analysis reveals a topological transition that is associated with the thermodynamical stability of the ``cold" black hole state of the quantum BTZ black hole. Vibrational resonance (VR) is a nonlinear phenomenon in which the system response to a weak signal can be resonantly enhanced by applying a high-frequency modulation signal with an appropriate amplitude. The majority of VR research has focused on amplifying the amplitude or intensity of the system response to a weak signal, whereas the study of the phase information of system responses in VR remains limited. Here, we investigate the VR phenomena in both amplitude and phase quadratures of an optical field in a Kerr nonlinear cavity driven by a near-resonant weak signal and a far-detuned modulation signal. Analytical and numerical results demonstrated that the resonant enhancement in the amplitude and phase quadratures of the system response to a weak signal simultaneously occurs as the amplitude of the modulation signal is varied. There is a linear relation between the amplitude and frequency of the modulation signal for achieving an optimal VR effect. Furthermore, we generalized our study to investigate the quadrature at an arbitrary phase and determined that the VR enhancement sensitively depends on the phase. Our findings not only broaden the scope of VR research by incorporating phase information but also introduces an approach for amplifying an optical field by manipulating another optical field.

In this study, we explore the synergy of deep learning and financial market applications, focusing on pair trading. This market-neutral strategy is integral to quantitative finance and is apt for advanced deep-learning techniques. A pivotal challenge in pair trading is discerning temporal correlations among entities, necessitating the integration of diverse data modalities. Addressing this, we introduce a novel framework, Multi-modal Temporal Relation Graph Learning (MTRGL). MTRGL combines time series data and discrete features into a temporal graph and employs a memory-based temporal graph neural network. This approach reframes temporal correlation identification as a temporal graph link prediction task, which has shown empirical success. Our experiments on real-world datasets confirm the superior performance of MTRGL, emphasizing its promise in refining automated pair trading strategies.

The two-dimensional (2D) material Cr$_2$Ge$_2$Te$_6$ is a member of the class of insulating van der Waals magnets. Here, using high resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy in a detailed temperature dependence study, we identify a clear response of the electronic structure to a dimensional crossover in the form of two distinct temperature scales marking onsets of modifications in the electronic structure. Specifically, we observe Te $p$-orbital-dominated bands to undergo changes at the Curie transition temperature T$_C$ while the Cr $d$-orbital-dominated bands begin evolving at a higher temperature scale. Combined with neutron scattering, density functional theory calculations, and Monte Carlo simulations, we find that the electronic system can be consistently understood to respond sequentially to the distinct temperatures at which in-plane and out-of-plane spin correlations exceed a characteristic length scale. The Fe intercalated transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD), Fe$_{1/3}$NbS$_2$, exhibits remarkable resistance switching properties and highly tunable spin ordering phases due to magnetic defects. We conduct synchrotron X-ray scattering measurements on both under-intercalated ($x$ = 0.32) and over-intercalated ($x$ = 0.35) samples. We discover a new charge order phase in the over-intercalated sample, where the excess Fe atoms lead to a zigzag antiferromagnetic order. The agreement between the charge and magnetic ordering temperatures, as well as their intensity relationship, suggests a strong magnetoelastic coupling as the mechanism for the charge ordering. Our results reveal the first example of a charge order phase among the intercalated TMD family and demonstrate the ability to stabilize charge modulation by introducing electronic correlations, where the charge order is absent in bulk 2H-NbS$_2$ compared to other pristine TMDs.

Understanding the light ring, one kind fundamental orbit, shall provide us with novel insight into the astronomical phenomena, such as the ringdown of binary merger and shadow of black holes. Recently, topological approach has preliminarily demonstrated its potential advantages on the properties of the light rings. However, for the black holes without $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry and extremal spinning black holes are remained to be tested. In this paper, we aim at these two issues. Due to the NUT charge, the Kerr-Newman Taub-NUT solution has no $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry. By constructing the corresponding topology for the non-extremal spinning black holes, we find the topological number keeps unchanged. This indicates that $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry has no influence on the topological number, while it indeed affects the locations of the light rings and deviates them off the equatorial plane. For the extremal spinning black holes, we find its topology is critically dependent of the leading term of the vector's radial component at the zero point of its angular component on the black hole horizon. The findings state that there exists a topological phase transition, where the topological number changes, for the prograde light rings. While no phase transition occurs for the retrograde light rings. Our study uncovers some universal topological properties for the extremal and non-extremal spinning black holes with or without $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry. Magnetism in two-dimensional (2D) materials has attracted considerable attention recently for both fundamental understanding of magnetism and their tunability towards device applications. The isostructural Fe$_3$GeTe$_2$ and Fe$_3$GaTe$_2$ are two members of the Fe-based van der Waals (vdW) ferromagnet family, but exhibit very different Curie temperatures (T$_C$) of 210 K and 360 K, respectively. Here, by using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and density functional theory, we systematically compare the electronic structures of the two compounds. Qualitative similarities in the Fermi surface can be found between the two compounds, with expanded hole pockets in Fe$_3$GaTe$_2$ suggesting additional hole carriers compared to Fe$_3$GeTe$_2$. Interestingly, we observe no band shift in Fe$_3$GaTe$_2$ across its T$_C$ of 360 K, compared to a small shift in Fe$_3$GeTe$_2$ across its T$_C$ of 210 K. The weak temperature-dependent evolution strongly deviates from the expectations of an itinerant Stoner mechanism. Our results suggest that itinerant electrons have minimal contributions to the enhancement of T$_C$ in Fe$_3$GaTe$_2$ compared to Fe$_3$GeTe$_2$, and that the nature of ferromagnetism in these Fe-based vdW ferromagnets must be understood with considerations of the electron correlations.

Since the meaning representations are detailed and accurate annotations which express fine-grained sequence-level semtantics, it is usually hard to train discriminative semantic parsers via Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) in an autoregressive fashion. In this paper, we propose a semantic-aware contrastive learning algorithm, which can learn to distinguish fine-grained meaning representations and take the overall sequence-level semantic into consideration. Specifically, a multi-level online sampling algorithm is proposed to sample confusing and diverse instances. Three semantic-aware similarity functions are designed to accurately measure the distance between meaning representations as a whole. And a ranked contrastive loss is proposed to pull the representations of the semantic-identical instances together and push negative instances away. Experiments on two standard datasets show that our approach achieves significant improvements over MLE baselines and gets state-of-the-art performances by simply applying semantic-aware contrastive learning on a vanilla Seq2Seq model., Comment: Accepted by EMNLP 2022
