In this study, Au/α‐Fe2O3 sensing material was synthesized and used as the working electrode for dopamine sensing. The Au/α‐Fe2O3 composites were prepared with various loadings (0.5 %, 1 %, and 3 %) to enhance their sensing properties. All three composites were tested for dopamine sensing, with 1 % Au/α‐Fe2O3 showing the best response. The Au/α‐Fe2O3 composites were characterized using XRD, TEM, and SEM to confirm successful doping of Au on the iron oxide surface. The CV plot obtained by plotting Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) vs. dopamine (DA) was linear (R2=0.9872) for DA concentrations ranging from 6.25 μM–200 μM on 1 % Au/α‐Fe2O3. Similarly, the DPV plot between DPV vs. DA was linear (R2=0.9895) for the same DA concentration range on 1 % Au/α‐Fe2O3, with a detection limit of 0.19 μM. Interference and stability experiments were conducted with dopamine (DA), ascorbic acid (AA), and uric acid (UA). The results showed that DA sensing was not affected by the other two substances for up to 14 days. Formaldehyde (HCHO) is a common indoor air pollutant. Due to its proven carcinogenicity, reducing indoor HCHO levels is a significant issue. In this study, a composite material consisting of zinc manganese oxide and BiVO4 was used as a photocatalyst for HCHO degradation. ZnMn2O4‐BiVO4 has efficient photocatalytic performance, wide application areas, high stability, and low‐cost advantages, making the substance a potentially useful photocatalyst that can be applied in fields such as energy conversion and environmental protection. BiVO4 was prepared by a hydrothermal method. It was further compounded with zinc manganese oxide to form composite as catalysts of different wt % ratios for photodegradation of HCHO using a fluorescent lamp as light source. The samples were characterized by using XRD, UV‐visible spectrometer, TEM, SEM, and photoluminescence spectrometry. The experimental data showed that 5.0 wt % zinc manganese oxide‐BiVO4 as catalyst had the highest HCHO degradation rate. The release of carbon dioxide and water increased the irradiation time. The degradation rate of HCHO was higher than that achieved with commercially available titanium oxide. The highest HCHO degradation rate was 66 % within 4 h. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Hydrogen heralded as a promising renewable and environmentally friendly energy carrier, carries inherent risks owing to its highly flammable nature. A mere 4 % concentration of hydrogen in the air can trigger an explosion. To counteract this peril, a composite material comprising PbOX‐ZnO (2 : 1) was synthesized, characterized, and subsequently employed to fabricate a hydrogen sensing device. Various analytical tools were used to characterize as‐deposited materials, including X‐ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy /Energy Dispersive X‐ray Spectroscopy, Transmission electron microscopy UV‐Vis Reflectance Spectroscopy and Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy. The device exhibited favorable properties, such as good selectivity, stability, and a low detection limit for hydrogen. At ambient room temperature, the device demonstrated a sensing signal reaching 468.7, with a response time (T90) of 155 seconds and a recovery time (Tr90) of 69 seconds when exposed to a hydrogen concentration of 5 ppm. This performance underscores the device's rapid and effective response to hydrogen exposure. Moreover, the PbOX‐ZnO (2 : 1) composite‐based device exhibited a detection limit of 2.4 ppm, functioning accurately within a linear range spanning from 5 ppm to 50 ppm. The individual ingredients of 1,3-Propanediol, Soline, and Fucocert® (PSF) are often used as cosmetic formulations in skin care. In addition, the mixture of Lecigel, Cetiol®CC, Activonol-6, and Activonol-M (LCAA) is often used as a cosmetic base. However, whether the combination of LCAA with PSF (LCAA-PSF) exerts a therapeutic effect on psoriasis remains unclear. In this study, mice induced with imiquimod (IMQ) were divided into three groups and administered 100 mg/day of LCAA, 100 mg/day of LCAA-PSF, or Vaseline on the dorsal skin of each mouse. Weight-matched mice treated with Vaseline alone were used as controls. Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) were used to assess tissue morphology and inflammatory cytokines. RNA sequencing analysis was used to predict the mechanism underlying the action of LCAA-PSF against psoriasis, while immunohistochemical analysis validation was used to identify pertinent molecular pathways. The results demonstrated that LCAA-PSF alleviated IMQ-induced keratinocyte differentiation/ proliferation bydecreasingthe serum levels of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6, TNF-α, IL-23, and IL-17A and the epidermisof TGFβ, Ki67, CK5/6, and VEGF expression, which is associated with angiogenesis and keratinocyte differentiation/ proliferation. These findings highlight the antipsoriatic activity of LCAA-PSF in a psoriasis-like mouse model and suggest this may occurvia the inhibition of inflammatory factor secretionand the TGFβ-related signal pathway. A 2D/2D BiPO4/g-C3N4-B nano-sheet heterojunction photocatalyst was synthesized via a simple coprecipitation method at room temperature using glacial acetic acid as solvent, which showed excellent activity toward the degradation of rhodamine B (RhB). The heterojunction showed much higher efficiency of separation and transfer of photogenerated carriers compared to that of its constituents. Moreover, the spectral response range of BiPO4 was effectively broadened after the combination of g-C3N4-B and BiPO4. Consequently, a 97.3% degradation of RhB within 25 min by BiPO4/g-C3N4-B heterojunction photocatalyst under visible light irradiation was observed. The difference in work functions of BiPO4 and g-C3N4-B was evident from UPS characterization, which led to the bending of the energy band and the establishment of an internal electric field at the interface of the heterojunction. Therefore, the synthesized direct Z-type BiPO4/g-C3N4-B heterojunction enhanced the oxidation-reduction ability by promoting the effective separation of photogenerated carriers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
