8. NCAGC: A Neighborhood Contrast Framework for Attributed Graph Clustering

Abstract

Attributed graph clustering is one of the most fundamental tasks among graph learning field, the goal of which is to group nodes with similar representations into the same cluster without human annotations. Recent studies based on graph contrastive learning method have achieved remarkable results when exploit graph-structured data. However, most existing methods 1) do not directly address the clustering task, since the representation learning and clustering process are separated; 2) depend too much on data augmentation, which greatly limits the capability of contrastive learning; 3) ignore the contrastive message for clustering tasks, which adversely degenerate the clustering results. In this paper, we propose a Neighborhood Contrast Framework for Attributed Graph Clustering, namely NCAGC, seeking for conquering the aforementioned limitations. Specifically, by leveraging the Neighborhood Contrast Module, the representation of neighbor nodes will be 'push closer' and become clustering-oriented with the neighborhood contrast loss. Moreover, a Contrastive Self-Expression Module is built by minimizing the node representation before and after the self-expression layer to constraint the learning of self-expression matrix. All the modules of NCAGC are optimized in a unified framework, so the learned node representation contains clustering-oriented messages. Extensive experimental results on four attributed graph datasets demonstrate the promising performance of NCAGC compared with 16 state-of-the-art clustering methods. Abstract

As an important branch of artificial intelligence, machine learning meets the demand for digital intelligence in prosthodontics with the rapid development and application of its algorithm. This review provides an overview of the application of machine learning algorithms in dental restoration, including the design of dental prostheses, tooth shade selection, and tooth preparation line detection. Additionally, this paper also briefly analyzes the merits of machine learning and discusses the challenges and issues in current research, to provide references for research on machine learning algorithms in prosthodontics.

Abstract

CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technology has been very effective in editing genes in many plant species including rice. Here we further improve the current CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technology in both efficiency and time needed for isolation of transgene-free and target gene-edited plants. We coupled the CRISPR/Cas9 cassette with a unit that activates anthocyanin biosynthesis, providing a visible marker for detecting the presence of transgenes. The anthocyanin-marker assisted CRISPR (AAC) technology enables us to identify transgenic events even at calli stage, to select transformants with elevated Cas9 expression, and to identify transgene-free plants in the field. We used the AAC technology to edit LAZY1 and G1 and successfully generated many transgene-free and target gene-edited plants at T1 generation. The AAC technology greatly reduced the labor, time, and costs needed for editing target genes in rice.

Abstract

Building a high-quality economic development evaluation system in ethnic areas can well solve the problems of unbalanced and inadequate high-quality economic development in regions; Method: By analyzing the government data of six adjacent cities in Yunnan, Sichuan, and Guizhou provinces, five primary indicators and 27 secondary indicators covering economic vitality, innovation efficiency, green development, people’s living and social harmony were constructed. By combining obstacle degree, coupling degree, and coupling coordination degree models, the high-quality development situation was empirically measured; As a result, Chuan D is weaker than the other five cities and states in four aspects: economic vitality, innovation efficiency, green development, and people’s livelihood, ranking first; The conclusion is to use it to evaluate and analyze the results of high-quality economic development in the six adjacent cities of Yunnan, Sichuan, and Guizhou provinces, and to revise the basic indicators of the system in order to better guide and guide the practice of high-quality economic development in ethnic areas.

Abstract

This research proposes a novel indicator-based hybrid evolutionary approach that combines approximate and exact algorithms. We apply it to a new bi-criteria formulation of the travelling thief problem, which is known to the Evolutionary Computation community as a benchmark multi-component optimisation problem that interconnects two classical NP-hard problems: the travelling salesman problem and the 0-1 knapsack problem. Our approach employs the exact dynamic programming algorithm for the underlying Packing-While-Travelling (PWT) problem as a subroutine within a bi-objective evolutionary algorithm. This design takes advantage of the data extracted from Pareto fronts generated by the dynamic program to achieve better solutions. Furthermore, we develop a number of novel indicators and selection mechanisms to strengthen synergy of the two algorithmic components of our approach. The results of computational experiments show that the approach is capable to outperform the state-of-the-art results for the single-objective case of the problem.
