A polyurethane membrane with interlayer channels was developed through electrospinning to separate oily sewage. To enhance its hydrophilicity, hydrophilic silica particles were grafted onto the fiber surface, creating a rough surface. This was done by treating the membrane with oxygen plasma to generate active sites, which were then coupled with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, followed by adding the membrane to a hydrolytic solution of tetraethyl orthosilicate. The resultant membrane had a low water contact angle of 23.3° and excellent underwater oleophobicity, with a high-underwater oil contact angle (varied from 155.9 to 159.7°) and underwater oil sliding angle (ranged from 4.0 to 4.6°) for different types of oils. In addition, the prepared membrane had a good moisture-evaporation rate (4.2 g/h) and water-absorption capacity (273%). It is also oil-resistant and self-cleaning in water, and could efficiently separating oil-in-water emulsion under gravity, with an initial separation flux of 2864 L/m2/h. During cyclic separation of emulsion, the membrane had the oil-retention rate of more than 99.0%, and the final separation flux of the membrane was maintained at 25 L/m2/h. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: The platelet‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (PLR), peripheral blood absolute monocyte count (AMC), and monocyte‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (MLR) are considered biomarkers of systemic immune and inflammation response. However, their prognostic potential in patients with myelodysplastic neoplasms (MDS) remains unclear. This study aimed to explore the predictive impact of PLR, MLR, and AMC on MDS outcomes. Methods: In total, 334 patients with primary MDS were included between January 2016 and December 2021 and were retrospectively followed up until December 31, 2022. The prognostic significance of PLR, MLR, and AMC was assessed using univariate and multivariate analyses, and predictive models were generated to estimate MDS outcomes. The area under their receiver operating curves was computed to compare the predictive power of these models. Results: Fifty‐one patients had disease progression, and 103 patients died during follow‐up. In multivariate analyses, a higher PLR was an adverse independent factor for overall survival (OS) (p = 0.011), whereas a higher AMC indicated shorter progression‐free survival (p = 0.003). The prognostic model incorporating PLR, MLR, and AMC with the Revised International Prognostic Scoring System (IPSS‐R) risk categorization showed higher performance in predicting OS than the model that only utilized the IPSS‐R category. Conclusion: Elevated PLR and increased AMC had independent prognostic value for adverse outcomes in patients with MDS. Nanjing Jiangxinzhou Yangtze River Bridge is located at Nanjing, People's Republic of China. The main bridge spans Yangtze River in the form of a cable-stayed bridge with three towers and two main spans, with a total length of 1796 m and a main span of 600 m. The towers and main beams of the bridge are all steel–concrete composite structures, which is the first all-steel–concrete composite structure cable-stayed bridge in the world. The bridge innovatively develops a steel shell–concrete composite structure tower, deploys coarse aggregate reactive powder concrete (CA-RPC), and applies it to the main girder of the bridge to form a lightweight and high-performance steel–concrete composite beam. Numerous innovative technologies have been achieved with new materials, new structures, new processes, and many other aspects. The unique structural concept has significantly increased the factory manufacturing speed of bridge components, which not only reduces the work and labour cost at the bridge site above the bearing platform to less than 25% but also effectively reduces the amount and loss of engineering materials during bridge construction, all of which have made outstanding contributions to the development of cable-stayed bridges. According to the forming conditions of local welt tubular woven fabrics, a unique series of tubular fabric structures wore designed. The main points of fabric design and trial weaving worth introduced from the aspects of design inspiration source, yarn design, fabric weave design, weaving process parameters and key measures of machine trial weaving, etc. The local weft tubular fabrics were innovatively developed on the semi-automatic weaving prototype by using the plain basic weave, double-layer weave and plain weave of the zonal welt tubular part. The fabrics have harmonious color matching, novel and unique appearance, undulating raised tube three-dimensional full, good shape. In order to enhance the efficiency and specificity of anticancer drug delivery and realize intelligently controlled release, a new multi-functional nanoparticle drug carrier was synthesized. The drug carrier was prepared by functionalizing multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) with polyethylenimines (PEI) , fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and glycyrrhizic acid (GL). After detailed characterization, doxorubicin (DOX) was loaded onto the obtained MWCNT composites through -π-π stacking interactions. The drug loading capacity of the GL-functionalized material was up to 92 % , and the release behavior was significantly pH-sensitive. Release at pH = 5. 8 (typical of the tumor cell microenvironment) was much more rapid and reached a greater extent than release under normal physiological conditions (pH =7.4). The modified MWCNTs had high biocompatibility with the liver cancer cell line SMMC-7721, but were able to induce cell death after 24 h incubation if loaded with DOX. Tests with shorter incubation time (2 h) were undertaken to investigate the selectivity of the MWCNT composites, showed that the nanocomposites could specifically target cancer cells. In this study, we try to testify the relationship between the programmed cell death receptor-1 (PD-1)/programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) passway and Treg cells in maternal-fetal immune regulation through PD-1 blockade on lymphocytes of normal early pregnancy in vitro and investigation of the PD-1 and PD-L1 changes in early recurrent miscarriage patients. CD4+ CD25+ Treg cells and PD-1 (CD279) positive cell were detected in deciduas in early recurrent miscarriage patients by flow cytometry. And the normal early pregnant women were as controls. Meanwhile the mRNA level of PD-1 and molecular expression of PD-L1 in deciduas of early recurrent miscarriage patients were detected by real time RT-PCR test and Immunohistochemical staining respectively. Also through antibody blocking assay to block PD-1 on lymphocytes of normal early pregnancy in vitro further testify the relationship between PD-1/PD-L1 and Treg cells, the results were analyzed by flow cytometry. CD4+ CD25+ Treg cells decreased both in deciduas in RM (P < 0.05), and for all almost 100% Treg cells (CD4+ CD25+) expressed PD-1, but there was no difference between the PD-1 positive cells in decidual lymphocytes in RM and that in normal pregnancy women (P > 0.05). PD-L1 mRNA in deciduas decreased in RM (P < 0.001), but PD-1 mRNA no difference (P > 0.1). After PD-1 blockade there was no change in CD4+ CD25+ Treg cells percentage, while the CD4+ T cell percentage increased (P < 0.01), as well as the level of IFN-gamma in cells supernatant (P < 0.01). PD-1 blockade has a little influence on the number of Treg cells, and may lead to impaired Treg cells function, the decrease of PD-L1 may closely relates to the occurrence of early recurrent miscarriage and implies that Treg cells may through PD-1/PD-L1 pathway play a role of immunosuppression regulation, and the impairment of Treg cells function in recurrent early abortion cases may be due to PD-L1 decrease in deciduas or trophoblast cells rather than PD-1 change.
