ObjectiveTo explore the application value of endoscopic ultrasound fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) in the diagnosis and treatment ofpatients with pancreatic cancer combined with obstructive jaundice.MethodsClinical data of patients hospitalized in the Department of Gastroenterology of Peking Union Medical College Hospital who underwent ERCP biliary stent drainage for pancreatic cancer combined with obstructive jaundice from January 1, 2023 to February 26, 2024 were retrospectively collected. They were categorized into the fusion technology group and the simple ERCP group according to whether EUS-FNA was performed in the same endoscopic unit. The differences in pathologic diagnosis rate, ERCP drainage success rate, postoperative complication rate and patients' single hospitalization time were compared between the two groups.ResultsA total of 161 patients with pancreatic cancer combined with obstructive jaundice who underwent ERCP biliary stent drainage meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria were enrolled, of which 80 were in the fusion technique group and 81 were in the simple ERCP group. The pathological diagnosis rate in the fusion technique group was higher than that in the simple ERCP group[92.50%(74/80) vs. 46.15%(12/26), P < 0.001], and the ERCP drainage success rate[82.50%(66/80) vs. 86.42%(70/81), P=0.360], the overall postoperative complication rate[5.00%(4/80) vs. 2.47%(2/81), P=0.443], and single hospitalization time[4 (4, 7)d vs. 5 (3, 9)d, P=0.397] were not statistically different from simple ERCP groups.ConclusionThe fusion of EUS-FNA and ERCP enhances the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment for pancreatic carcinoma, warranting widespread adoption and further research.

Plasma-Metal Inert Gas (MIG) hybrid welding was employed to carry out bead on plate welding of an aluminum alloy A5052. The plasma arc was ignited to form a keyhole, and a series of welding systems were developed starting with MIG welding. The convective patterns within the weld pool were meticulously analyzed. In addition, we conducted experimental observations of the flow inside and on the surface of the pool, and we were able to visualize the flow in some areas. The results indicated that the plasma welding side formed a pool that seamlessly integrated the plasma side and the MIG side. At the same time, we observed the formation of a flow pool that integrates both plasma and MIG sides, affecting the formation and behavior of the weld pool. This study aims to provide a nuanced understanding of flow dynamics across the entire pool. This approach is geared towards refining the intricacies of weld pool dynamics for the advancement of welding technologies.

AbstractBackground Pigment gallstones are not uncommon among patients with chronic haemolytic anaemia. But their clinical characteristics have not been described in detail and not been directly compared with the general gallstone population.Methods Patients at Peking Union Medical College Hospital with haemolytic anaemia and subsequent gallstones from January 2012 to December 2022 were included. Cases were matched (1:2) based on age, sex and location of stones to randomly select non-anaemia patients with gallstones (controls).Results Screening 899 cases of gallstones, we finally included 76 cases and 152 controls. Total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) for cases were 3.02 ± 0.98 mmol/L, 0.89 ± 0.30 mmol/L and 1.58 ± 0.70 mmol/L, respectively, significantly lower than those in the control group (all p

In the context of 5G networks, this paper investigates microstrip array antennas and mobile terminal MIMO array antennas. It introduces two innovative designs and, based on these, develops and fabricates a mobile terminal antenna. The first of these designs, a 4 × 4 microstrip array antenna operating in the LTE band 42 (3.4–3.6 GHz), is researched and fabricated and an innovative approach, combining embedded and coaxial feeding methods, is proposed and employed. Measurement results indicate a bandwidth of 373 MHz (3.321–3.694 GHz), achieving a relative bandwidth of 10.7%. The antenna exhibits a high gain of 12.7 dBi, with an undistorted radiation pattern, demonstrating excellent directional characteristics. The second of these designs, a "loop-slot" MIMO antenna designed for 5G mobile devices with metal frames, is investigated. By opening slots in the metal frame and integrating them into the antenna's feeding structure, the decoupling principle is analyzed from the perspective of characteristic mode theory. This design shares resonant modes between the loop and slot antennas, allowing for the overlapping placement of the two antenna units. Experimental results confirm an isolation level exceeding 21 dB, with significantly reduced dimensions. Finally, an eight-unit MIMO antenna is designed and fabricated for 5G mobile devices with metal frames. Continuous optimization of the "loop-slot" module layout and unit spacing leads to a compact and miniaturized antenna structure. Measurement results show an isolation level exceeding 17 dB, radiation efficiency ranging from 65.8% to 73.7%, and an envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) below 0.03.
