Abstract

The process of information fusion needs to deal with a large number of uncertain information with multi-source, heterogeneity, inaccuracy, unreliability, and incompleteness. In practical engineering applications, Dempster-Shafer evidence theory is widely used in multi-source information fusion owing to its effectiveness in data fusion. Information sources have an important impact on multi-source information fusion in an environment of complex, unstable, uncertain, and incomplete characteristics. To address multi-source information fusion problem, this paper considers the situation of uncertain information modeling from the closed world to the open world assumption and studies the generation of basic probability assignment (BPA) with incomplete information. In this paper, a new method is proposed to generate generalized basic probability assignment (GBPA) based on the triangular fuzzy number model under the open world assumption. The proposed method can not only be used in different complex environments simply and flexibly, but also have less information loss in information processing. Finally, a series of comprehensive experiments basing on the UCI data sets are used to verify the rationality and superiority of the proposed method.

33. Serotonin syndrome induced by anti-parkinsonism drugs：a case report

Abstract

Serotonin syndrome (SS) is an adverse drug reaction characterized by neuromuscular hyperexcitability that is mild in most cases but can be life-threatening in some cases. This paper reports a case of a 87-year-old man with Parkinson’s disease who was hospitalized due to pulmonary infection and fever. The clinical symptoms were improved after treatment. Subsequently, his condition fluctuated, including high fever, sweating, disturbance of consciousness, high muscle tone and elevated creatine kinase. After combining his clinical manifestations with his history of concomitant medication, the doctors found that the patient had overdosed on selegiline and had an adverse reaction with anti-infective drug linezolid. The patients was diagnosed having SS promptly and was treated actively and properly, including discontinuation of related medications, and physical cooling, extensive fluid rehydration, and symptomatic supportive treatment. Thus the patient’s condition was effectively controlled within 24 hours. The symptoms were basically improved 3 days after onset and completely relieved 5 days after onset. Prevention is the key point to SS, and clinicians should strengthen their awareness.

Abstract

There is a common molecular basis and neurobiological mechanism in the pathogenesis of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) and degenerative diseases in central nervous system (such as Alzheimer′s disease, Parkinson′s disease and frontotemporal degeneration), including hypoxia, vascular endothelial dysfunction, impairment of cerebrovascular vasomotor response, dysfunction of blood-brain barrier and impairment of glial lymphatic pathway. The CSVD patients complicated with the neurodegenerative diseases often show different clinical phenotypes, disease process and outcome from neurodegenerative diseases. The cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers show certain value in the diagnosis of CSVD complicated with neurodegenerative diseases. The brain network has a certain application prospect in comprehensive study of the relationship between CSVD and neurodegenerative diseases. In the future, the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases focusing on vascular neuroinflammatory model will show broad prospects.

Abstract

Noncoding DNA is central to our understanding of human gene regulation and complex diseases1,2, and measuring the evolutionary sequence constraint can establish the functional relevance of putative regulatory elements in the human genome3,4,5,6,7,8,9. Identifying the genomic elements that have become constrained specifically in primates has been hampered by the faster evolution of noncoding DNA compared to protein-coding DNA10, the relatively short timescales separating primate species11, and the previously limited availability of whole-genome sequences12. Here we construct a whole-genome alignment of 239 species, representing nearly half of all extant species in the primate order. Using this resource, we identified human regulatory elements that are under selective constraint across primates and other mammals at a 5% false discovery rate. We detected 111,318 DNase I hypersensitivity sites and 267,410 transcription factor binding sites that are constrained specifically in primates but not across other placental mammals and validate their cis-regulatory effects on gene expression. These regulatory elements are enriched for human genetic variants that affect gene expression and complex traits and diseases. Our results highlight the important role of recent evolution in regulatory sequence elements differentiating primates, including humans, from other placental mammals.

Using this resource, we identified human regulatory elements that are under selective constraint across primates and other mammals at a 5% false discovery rate. We detected 111,318 DNase I hypersensitivity sites and 267,410 transcription factor binding sites that are constrained specifically in primates but not across other placental mammals and validate their cis-regulatory effects on gene expression. These regulatory elements are enriched for human genetic variants that affect gene expression and complex traits and diseases.
