This research analyzes the situation and conditions of PT. Taspen (Persero) human resources which experiences generational differences between Baby Boomers and Millennials. This generational difference occurred because no employee recruitment existed between 1992 and 2006. On the other hand, as many as 163 employees will soon retire in 2024 to 2025. In other words, PT. Taspen (Persero) is dealing with employee shortages, especially in leadership positions. Therefore, PT. Taspen (Persero) has a very dynamic change of employee positions quickly. This causes Millennials to be prepared to become leaders within a minimum of 1.5 years after being appointed as permanent employees. Based on this, this research aims to examine the decision-making of Millennial leaders. Where in this case, the younger generation must be able to make the right decisions even though they have little experience and a short working time. Therefore, the researcher aims to know whether the natural characteristics possessed by Millennials as well as their work period and type of decision-making making will influence their competence in making decisions which will be assessed using the Adult Decision-Making Competence (A-DMC) model. On the other hand, company management, in this case, the human resources division, is also the object of research in qualitative form to find out how far management supports millennial leaders in decision-making by providing a conducive work environment. Introduction: Tasik Agung Coastal Fishing Port handles the most fish unloading activities in Rembang, which include high and strenuous work with no rest before the activity is completed, long work duration as well as high work demand, work fatigue, work period, and workload. In the professional world, human resources are said to be productive if they complete their tasks and fulfill their responsibilities on time. This study aims to analyze the factors related to the productivity of fish unloading workers. Methods: This study is an analytical observational study applying quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The population examined in this study was 100 fish unloading workers. Sampling was carried out offline through the accidental sampling technique, or the determination of samples by chance, in which potential respondents were selected from coincidental meeting with the fish unloading workers. The main data sources are direct measurements of variables, questionnaires, surveys, and interviews. Meanwhile, the secondary data as supporting information were obtained from journals of previous related studies. The data analysis used Spearman's rank correlation test. Results: The study did not find any relationship between work fatigue (p-value = 0.419) and workload (p-value = 0.975) with worker productivity. On the other hand, work period is proven to significantly related to worker productivity (p-value = 0.001). Conclusion: Work fatigue and workload are not related to the productivity of fish unloading workers. Meanwhile, there is a relationship between work periods and worker productivity. The increase in job mastery and work periods are followed by an increase in worker productivity.

Work fatigue is a symptom correlated to a decrease in work efficiency and skills and an increase in boredom and anxiety. If hospital nurses suffer work fatigue, they will be unable to perform at their best to care for patients, and this will reduce their productivity in providing services. This study aimed to identify the factors correlated to the work fatigue of hospital nurses in Bandar Lampung. This study had a crosssectional design. The study population included 247 respondents, and the final study sample included 153 respondents. The independent variables in this study were sex, age, marital status, nutritional status, disease history, work period, and shift work. The dependent variable was work fatigue. The study data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test (α = 0.05), and logistic regression test. The results showed that 75.8% of the respondents suffered from work fatigue. There were significant correlations between work fatigue and sex (p = 0.034), shift work (p = 0.001), and work period (p = 0.041). The determinant factor of work fatigue was the work shift (OR = 3.479; p = 0.007; 95% CI: 1.398-8.659). Therefore, it is suggested that hospital management should better regulate work shifts. Contingent positive reinforcement has proven more effective in treating escape-maintained problem behavior than contingent negative reinforcement, particularly when problem behavior continues to produce escape. However, this research has overwhelmingly used distributed-reinforcement arrangements, where tasks and reinforcer access are interspersed throughout the work period. An alternative to interspersal involves allowing the individual to accumulate and then receive a larger quantity of reinforcement once work requirements are completed; this is known as an accumulated-reinforcement arrangement. The current study examined the efficacy of, and preference for positive (food) and negative (break) reinforcement contingencies delivered in accumulated and distributed arrangements in the treatment of escape-maintained problem behavior. In Experiment 1, accumulated break was preferred for 4 of 5 participants and accumulated food was preferred for 3 of 5. In Experiment 2, accumulated break was similarly effective to distributed break for 3 of 5 participants and accumulated and distributed food were equally effective for 4 participants.

Introduction: Doctors are exposed to various psychosocial hazards such as high task demands and demanding work schedule which may influence fatigue, recovery, stress, job satisfaction, wellbeing, and work-family interface. This research generally aims to examine the interrelationship between work-home domain variables with outcomes of fatigue, its recovery, and others related outcomes such as work-to-family conflict, general wellbeing, and perceived stress level among doctors working at public hospital at general and day-level on-call duty. Methods: This is a multicenter analytical mix cross sectional (general) and longitudinal (day-level) research among proposed 390 randomly-sampled on-call doctors working at seven core clinical disciplines from seven public tertiary hospitals in Malaysia. Data will be collected three times: (a) any days after obtaining informed consent (cross sectional), (b) at the end of on-call duty (first wave longitudinal), and (c) at the beginning of subsequent work period (second wave longitudinal). Data will be modelled by covariance-based structural equation modelling (SEM). Conclusion: This research is well justifiable in view of limited available research on complex interrelationship of work domain, home domain and work-home boundary control with fatigue, recovery and other psychological health consequences (e.g. stress, wellbeing, work-home conflict) among doctors, particularly in Asia and developed countries, including Malaysia. This research is expected to provide strong evidence to policy makers in developing prevention and management policy related to fatigue, recovery and other psychological health consequences among doctors. According to behavioral economics, reinforcer value should be lower in an open economy than in a closed economy. An animal model was used to determine how economy type affected the value of heroin and saccharin. In a first phase, separate groups of rats worked for heroin or saccharin. The price of these reinforcers increased over sessions. For rats in the open heroin or open saccharin economies, the work period of each session was followed by a postwork period where a cheaper source of heroin or saccharin was available for three hours. For rats in the closed economies, the work period was their only opportunity to obtain the reinforcer. Rats in the open saccharin economy worked less hard to defend consumption of saccharin as price increased than rats in the closed saccharin economy. That is, opening the saccharin economy reduced its essential value. In contrast, economy type had no effect on heroin's essential value. In a second phase, rats were allowed to choose between heroin and saccharin. The majority of rats strongly preferred saccharin over heroin regardless of economy type. The finding that economy type changed the essential value of saccharin, but not heroin, adds to previous findings suggesting that the value of drug reinforcers is unaffected by future drug availability. The difference in effect of economy type on drug versus nondrug reinforcers could be relevant to addiction. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2019 APA, all rights reserved).
