To identify the vulnerability of recovery sleep, this study investigated the occurrence of obstructive sleep apnea during daytime sleep following overnight flights in healthy airline pilots. We conducted daytime polysomnography following a long-haul night-time flight in 103 pilots. The following variables were assessed: apnea-hypopnea index, respiratory disturbance index and oxygen desaturation index. Moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea was defined as an apnea-hypopnea index ≥15. Seventy-three pilots (70.9%) with no known history of obstructive sleep apnea presented with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea. Pilots showed high mean apnea-hypopnea, respiratory disturbance and oxygen desaturation indices. The body mass index, Berlin questionnaire score and cumulative flight time contributed to these indices, with both body mass index and cumulative flight time remaining significant at an apnea-hypopnea index ≥15. We found that pilots are vulnerable to obstructive sleep apnea during daytime sleep after night-time flights, which may deteriorate their health, increase fatigue and impair overall flight safety. Further research is needed to ensure flight safety, as daytime recovery sleep is unavoidable for night-time flight pilots. The pilots' normal and recovery sleep patterns should both be studied to develop an effective sleep management protocol.

Data related to money, or in other words, financial data, is encrypted as well as obfuscated and stored through various processes. The validity of this data can then be verified by using corresponding values. In this paper, chaincode generation, storage, and validation were used to verify whether the input data is reliable using a blockchain open source based on Hyperledger Fabric. The user has a hash value for the membership fee paid by himself/herself, is able to use the hash value to check whether the correct data was entered or not, and/or to detect the presence of irregularities. This allows transparent disclosure of the account book while corresponding data is provided with the function that only users belonging to a specific group can check, resulting in increased financial reliability within each group.

With the advent of mobile devices and the convergence of wireless technologies and the Internet, both the content and the quality of research in this field are subject to regular change. A variety of state-of-the-art computing devices that are compatible with each other have been produced. These devices have the ability to interact with people. This is also known as pervasive computing. Particularly, as smartphones have recently become one of the most popular devices worldwide, various convenient applications are being released. Smartphones available today not only provide the ordinary internal processes such as dialing or receiving phone calls, sending text messages, and doing mobile banking, but also increasingly control various other devices that are part of our daily lives. In effect, this means that through smartphone applications, we can remotely control a variety of external devices such as televisions, projectors for presentations, computers, and even cars. The research in this paper is based on the evolving technological possibilities of using smartphone applications to control external devices. This paper presents the design and implementation of a remote lock system using wireless communication on a smartphone. In this context, remote lock system refers to a lock system that can be controlled remotely by a dedicated Android application. Every smartphone is equipped with Bluetooth which makes this technology possible. The application proposed in this paper uses the existing Bluetooth function on Android smartphones to open and manage locks. The users' lock information can be stored and managed in real time in the database via a server that is built and managed by a server manager. Even if users forget the password of the lock, our proposed lock system can guide them to retrieve it easily, and a user manual is included to help users navigate the system. This system also provides a variety of management functions such as adding, deleting, modifying, and purchasing the user's own locks.

In recent years, in accordance with the rapidly increasing number of smartphone users, various social problems have started to occur. Examples of these problems are the overuse of smartphones and bad usage habits of smartphone users that can cause new social problems such as smartphone addiction and other smartphone related diseases. With the aim of preventing these social problems, this paper proposes a new smartphone addiction and disease prevention system. This system was developed by collecting and analyzing smartphone usage patterns. This proposed system analyzes the usage patterns and working hours of smartphone users in real time. If the detected smartphone usage patterns reach a dangerous level, the system will send warning messages to the user. This will enable users to recognize the unhealthy situation in advance by themselves. In addition, this solution could possibly prevent smartphone addiction and other smartphone related illness by preventing overuse and encouraging abstinence from using smartphones to the extent that it becomes harmful to the user.

This paper presents a computer remote control system using speech recognition technologies of mobile devices and wireless communication technologies for the blind and physically disabled population as assistive technology. These people experience difficulty and inconvenience using computers through a keyboard and/or mouse. The purpose of this system is to provide a way that the blind and physically disabled population can easily control many functions of a computer via speech. The configuration of the system consists of a mobile device such as a smartphone, a PC server, and a Google server that are connected to each other. Users can command a mobile device to do something via speech; such as writing emails, checking the weather forecast, or managing a schedule. These commands are then immediately executed. The proposed system also provides blind people with a function via TTS(Text To Speech) of the Google server if they want to receive contents of a document stored in a computer.

Smartphone usage and data consumption have been sharply rising, and the disabled have also become smartphone users as the number of users of these phones has exponentially increased in recent years. The theme of this paper is how to create a better world for the disabled using the information that people want to exchange with each other between the disabled and the general population. The main goal is also to provide the information that they need from each other in a way that can be displayed on the map in real-time. We propose a new location-based SNS application for the disabled population (except those who are visually impaired or the disabled who are not able to use a smartphone) with three major characteristics of this application to be considered as follows: (i) the person uses a Social Networking Service (SNS) by constructing a friend matching system such as Facebook or Twitter, which are the most widelyused SNS in the world; (ii) the general population registers real-time information for a specific location on the map for the disabled population using SNS. This information with photos and messages is given and evaluated by users; and (iii) this system makes it easier to see that the menu in the GUI was implemented.

Wireless body sensor network (WBSN) technologies are considered one of attracting research areas in computer science. When combined with the healthcare application, it provides high value technology of comprehensive healthcare monitoring solution in extreme situations including high altitude or disaster area enabling the ground controller to monitor remote pilots or earthquake victims in real time by combination of wireless sensors and sensor networks. Sensor networks are irregular clusters of communicating sensor nodes, which collect and process information from onboard sensors, and they can share some of this information with neighboring nodes. By recent technological advances in the integration of ultra-low power networks of miniatured sensors, embedded microcontrollers and radio interfaces on an all-in-one chip can collect important physiologic informations from the surrounding environment efficiently. In addition, the sensed physiological data transmitted to a remote healthcare provider can be modulated and fed back by processing software such as artificial intelligence system enriching capability of the sensor network. In this study, we develop a wireless body sensor network which integrates different physiological sensors with radiointerface to sense physiological data from a human body, and then rehearses to transmits the data to a remote healthcare cloud through a smartphone as an interface. Test results for simulated measurements of wireless transmission and emulation in a smartphone are given and discussed.

This paper presents a system that can provide the exact location of a mobile Internet device or a laptop in case it is lost or stolen. This system detects the IP state of the missing device while the user's laptop is operating. Information of an IP / MAC address that is changed is transmitted to the registered user's email. Using the IP address, it is also possible to see information about the more detailed physical address assigned by the ISP. Through the email that contains the current location information of the lost or stolen mobile device, the user can easily find it. In this paper, we propose an enhanced Java-based mobile device theft response system that drastically reduces the error range of the existing system.

Telecommunication networks are getting more important in our social lives because many people want to share their information and ideas. Thanks to the rapid development of the Internet and ubiquitous technologies including mobile devices such as smart phones, mobile phones and tablet PCs, the quality of our lives has been greatly influenced and rapidly changed in recent years. Internet users have exponentially increased as well. Meanwhile, the explosive growth of teletraffic called big data for user services threatens the current networks, and we face menaces from various kinds of intrusive incidents through the Internet. A variety of network attacks on network resources have continuously caused serious damage. Thus, active and advanced technologies for early detecting of anomaly teletraffic on Hadoop-based platforms are required. In this paper, a survey of some problems and technical solutions for anomaly teletraffic intrusion detection systems based on the open-source software platform Hadoop has been investigated and proposed.
