Li─O2 batteries (LOBs) have the largest theoretical capacity among current batteries, but the irreversible growth and decomposition of Li2O2 products in positive electrodes cause dramatic degradation of their capacities over charging–discharging cycles. Herein, a metal–organic framework is reported with bipyridinic N linkers attached to graphene (bpyN‐MOF/g) as a positive electrode material to overcome the challenge. The bpyN‐MOF/g promotes conformal Li2O2 growth during discharging, while allowing Li2O2 decomposition at a low overpotential (0.487 V vs Li+/Li at 200 mA gc−1) during charging process, outperforming the Pt/C‐based electrode (0.857 V). Moreover, 3D‐tomography and density functional theory calculations consistently support the Li2O2 growth and decomposition mechanism inside bpyN‐MOF/g. Furthermore, bpyN‐MOF/g//Li LOBs achieve an exceptional discharge capacity (17 275 mAh gc−1 at 100 mA gc−1) and steady cycling for 270 cycles at 1000 mAh gc−1 under 2000 mA gc−1. Additionally, high gravimetric capacity at low mass loadings (0.27–0.44 mg cm−2) and stable cycle operation at a high areal current density (0.5 mA cm−2) open new opportunities for various practical applications. With the increasing demand for modern high‐voltage electronic devices in electric vehicles and renewable‐energy systems, power semiconductor devices with high breakdown fields are becoming essential. β‐Gallium oxide (Ga2O3), which has a theoretical breakdown field of 8 MV cm−1, is being studied as a next‐generation power‐switch material. However, realizing a breakdown field close to this theoretical value remains challenging. In this study, an aerosol deposition‐manufactured Ga2O3 film boasting an extremely high breakdown field, achieved through thickness optimization, heat treatment, and a unique nozzle‐tilting method, is developed. This study explores the effect of oxygen vacancies on the dielectric constant, breakdown field, and microstructure of Ga2O3 films. Through these methods, Ga2O3 films with a denser (98.88%) and uniform surface, made less affected by oxygen vacancies through nozzle tilting and post‐annealing at 800 °C, are produced, resulting in appropriate dielectric constants (9.3 at 10 kHz), low leakage currents (5.8 × 10−11 A cm−2 at 20 kV cm−1), and a very high breakdown field of 5.5 MV cm−1. Summary: The optimal treatment strategy for newly diagnosed primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) has yet to be established, especially in the elderly. In the current study, we conducted a phase II study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of rituximab plus high‐dose MTX followed by rituximab plus cytarabine in patients aged ≥60 years newly diagnosed with PCNSL. Patients received an induction treatment of high‐dose methotrexate plus rituximab followed by two cycles of a consolidation treatment of cytarabine plus rituximab. The primary end‐point was a 2‐year progression‐free survival (PFS) rate. A total of 35 patients were recruited, and their median age was 73 (range: 60–81). After induction treatment, the complete and partial responses (PRs) were 56% and 20% respectively. Twenty‐six patients proceeded to the consolidation treatment; the complete and PRs were 59% and 9% respectively. After a median follow‐up duration of 36.0 months, the 2‐year PFS rate was 58.7%. Treatment was generally well‐tolerated as only three patients were withdrawn from the study due to toxicity, and no treatment‐related mortality was reported. The 2‐year overall survival rate was 77.9%. The current study may suggest the feasibility of administering high‐dose MTX plus cytarabine in PCNSL patients aged ≥60 years and the potential role of additive rituximab. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bi2Te3‐based materials have drawn much attention from the thermoelectric community due to their excellent thermoelectric performance near room temperature. However, the stability of existing n‐type Bi2(Te,Se)3 materials is still low due to the evaporation energy of Se (37.70 kJ mol−1) being much lower than that of Te (52.55 kJ mol−1). The evaporated Se from the material causes problems in interconnects of the module while degrading the efficiency. Here, we have developed a new approach for the high‐performance and stable n‐type Se‐free Bi2Te3‐based materials by maximizing the electronic transport while suppressing the phonon transport, at the same time. Spontaneously generated FeTe2 nanoinclusions within the matrix during the melt‐spinning and subsequent spark plasma sintering is the key to simultaneous engineering of the power factor and lattice thermal conductivity. The nanoinclusions change the fermi level of the matrix while intensifying the phonon scattering via nanoparticles. With a fine‐tuning of the fermi level with Cu doping in the n‐type Bi2Te3–0.02FeTe2, a high power factor of ~41 × 10−4 Wm−1 K−2 with an average zT of 1.01 at the temperature range 300–470 K are achieved, which are comparable to those obtained in n‐type Bi2(Te,Se)3 materials. The proposed approach enables the fabrication of high‐performance n‐type Bi2Te3‐based materials without having to include volatile Se element, which guarantees the stability of the material. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of 131I‐rituximab in patients with relapsed or refractory follicular or mantle cell lymphoma. Methods: Twenty‐four patients with relapsed or refractory follicular or mantle cell lymphoma were administered unlabeled rituximab (70 mg) immediately before receiving a therapeutic dose of 131I‐rituximab. Contrast‐enhanced 18F‐fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography was used a month later to assess tumor response. Results: This study enrolled 24 patients between June 2012 and 2022. Depending on how they responded to radioimmunotherapy (RIT), 131I‐rituximab was administered one to five times. Of the 24 patients, 9 achieved complete response after RIT and 8 achieved partial response. The median progression‐free and overall survival was 5.9 and 37.9 months, respectively. During the follow‐up period of 64.2 months, three patients were diagnosed with a secondary malignancy. Among treatment‐related adverse events, hematologic toxicities were common, and grade 3–4 thrombocytopenia and neutropenia were reported in 66.6% of cases. Conclusion: 131I‐rituximab has an effective and favorable safety profile in patients with relapsed or refractory follicular lymphoma and mantle cell lymphoma. This suggests that RIT may also be considered a treatment option for patients with relapsed or refractory follicular lymphoma and mantle cell lymphoma. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: The role of inflammation in the pathophysiology of polycythemia vera (PV) is important. The presence of JAK2 mutations is important in the diagnosis of PV, and serum levels of erythropoietin (EPO) also play a supporting role. However, serum EPO levels show some limitations. The neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (PLR) are a readily available marker of inflammation. Thus, we examined whether NLR & PLR might diagnose PV in erythrocytosis patients. We compared NLR & PLR and EPO diagnostic values. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed clinical and laboratory data from two referral hospitals. Two hundred and eighty‐five patients with erythrocytosis who underwent a test for the JAK2 mutation were included. It wac classified as the PV group and the secondary polycythemia (SP) group. Results: The median NLR & PLR in the PV group (n = 70) was significantly higher than that in the SP group (n = 170) (NLR: 6.04 vs. 1.77, PLR: 283.18 vs. 101.56, respectively, p < 0.001). In the receiver operating characteristic analysis, the area under the curve of NLR & PLR was significantly higher than that of serum EPO (NLR vs EPO: 0.921 vs. 0.827, p = 0.003; PLR vs EPO: 0.917 vs 0.827, p = 0.003). Conclusion: In conclusion, NLR & PLR were higher in PV than in SP and showed better diagnostic value than serum EPO level, highlighting their potential as minor diagnostic criteria in patients with PV.
