BACKGROUND: Bibliometrics and visual analyses based on thematic literature are particularly important for understanding the foundation and frontiers of postmenopausal osteoporosis research. OBJECTIVE: To perform bibliometric, citation, and visualization analyses of highly cited SCI papers in postmenopausal osteoporosis research over the last 20 years. METHODS: The top 100 highly cited papers on postmenopausal osteoporosis published between 2003 and 2022 included in SCI-EXPANDED catalog of the Web of Science database were obtained for bibliometric measure and visual analysis using CiteSpace software. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The top 100 highly cited papers have a total of 67 377 citations in the Web of Science Core Collection, with an annual average of 49.17 citations per paper. Postmenopausal osteoporosis research primarily involves medical, engineering, biological, and multidisciplinary fields. The subcategories are dominated by endocrinology and metabolism, and medicine: internal medicine. Stable and close cooperative network relationships have been formed globally. United States, University of California System, Cummings, and Steven R are the country, research institution, and author, respectively, with the most highly-cited publications. The frontiers of postmenopausal osteoporosis research mainly include calcium and vitamin D supplementation and fracture risk, clinical studies of bisphosphonates in the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis, atypical femur fracture, clinical studies of new drugs and sequential treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis, predictors of fracture risk, mid- and long-term follow-up of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, genetic polymorphisms and hereditary factors, formulation and updating of clinical practice guidelines for postmenopausal osteoporosis. Large cohort studies, high-quality randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical practice guidelines are the great engines that drive the development of clinical research in postmenopausal osteoporosis. We should make efforts in the above areas to improve China’s international influence in the field of osteoporosis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ARTIFICIAL intelligence ,BIBLIOMETRICS ,DEEPFAKES ,VIDEOS ,LITERATURE - Abstract
Deepfake refers to an artificial intelligence-based technique to produce manipulated videos that look realistic. However, this good aspect of Deepfake sometimes pose serious threats to society as malicious intenet users exploit deepfakes to disseminate false information. That's why a lot of research and applications are being developed in both the deepfake generation as well as detection field to mitigate its negative effect. Given the intensity of the work and its imporatnce in the field, there is a need to comprehensively review the existing literature and provide probable directions for future works considering the identified gaps and limitations. So, in this paper, a bibliometric analysis is conducted to provide a comprehensive analysis of this topic from various aspects such as influential authors who are active in this field and their collaboration, as well as countries and more specific institutions investing annually. In this study, the primary source of data is Web of Science (WoS), and we've employed keyword-based searches to retrieve pertinent information. The collected data from WoS has been scrutinized along several dimensions, including top document types, publication trends, source titles, and the productivity of various locations with an annual breakdown. To delve into collaborative efforts among institutions, authors, and regions, we utilized the VOSviewer tool. Additionally, the CiteSpace tool aided in identifying key focal points, research trajectories, and pinpointing significant shifts in citations for keywords. This comprehensive approach contributes to the in-depth analysis presented in this paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Sport entrepreneurship is the sport dimension of entrepreneurship and research on the concept has increased in recent years. The aim of this research is to provide a general perspective on sports entrepreneurship, to draw attention to the importance of the subject and to generate ideas for further research. For this purpose, bibliometric analysis technique was used in the research. In this context, 494 publications on sport entrepreneurship in the WoS database were examined under 7 headings (advanced search, cited references, co-author analysis, common word analysis, citation analysis, bibliometric matching analysis, co-citation analysis). These titles were analyzed in a total of 32 parameters and analyzed bibliometrically with Sankey diagram, VOSviewer, MapChart and Wordclouds programs. When the researches on sports entrepreneurship were examined, it was determined that the most publications were made in 2020 and the most citations were made in 2021, and the title, keyword, abstract, research area and WoS categories specified in the publications were related to each other. In this context, it has been seen that the basis of the structure in the relevant literature is sports, entrepreneurship, management, business and innovation. Although bibliometric studies have been conducted in the field of entrepreneurship in the national literature, bibliometric analysis of sports entrepreneurship has not been carried out in a comprehensive manner, the number of studies in the international literature is low, and the use of more parameters and more data in this research than the studies conducted in the international literature reveals the importance and originality of the research.

- Abstract
Understanding the daily weather types of any specific location is crucial for identifying its long -term climate patterns. In this study, we utilized the Wos classification method in conjunction with a comprehensive climatological approach to analyze key variables, including minimum, average, and maximum temperatures, as well as cloud cover and daily precipitation. Data from 1985 to 2021 were collected from 39 synoptic stations, which exhibited a well -distributed representation across the country and provided complete datasets. Weather types were identified using established coding techniques. The findings indicated that the predominant temperature types in the country are primarily categorized as hot and very hot, with sub -codes reflecting generally low to moderate cloud cover and negligible precipitation. Furthermore, the application of Ward's clustering method facilitated the identification of three distinct climatic groups. The geographical characteristics of each location, including factors such as altitude, latitude, proximity to the sea, and synoptic influences, play a significant role in the regional differentiation of these groups within the country. The outcomes of this research can be instrumental in developing weather calendars for various regions, with implications for numerous sectors including agriculture and tourism. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This bibliometric analysis studied the development trends, publication and citation counts, research themes and trends, and international cooperation models related to university-industry collaboration from 1970 to 2023. Firstly, using a broader set of search terms related to university-industry collaboration, we conducted a comprehensive search of the global literature from 1970 to 2023 in the Web of Science (WoS) database. Secondly, based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, we ultimately selected 592 articles for analysis. Subsequently, we used VOSviewer and R-biblioshiny as analytical tools to extract and analyze relevant data from the selected articles. The study identified the most influential institutions, journals, authors, and countries in this field. Additionally, based on keyword co-occurrence analysis, research related to university-industry collaboration is distributed across five clusters: (1) innovation and technology transfer, (2) internships and work experience, (3) cooperative education and learning outcomes, (4) collaboration models and partnerships, and (5) collaboration barriers, challenges, and sustainability. Recent research has focused on themes such as technology transfer, barriers, benefits, and the motivations driving collaboration.

Social learning is the main policy-design mechanism that involves interactions between agents. This study provides an overview of the research on policy design using social learning. Descriptive and co-citation analyses were used to identify emerging research lines and thematic similarities between scientific publications. The database used for the bibliometric analysis contained 271 articles published between 1979 and 2022 in 152 journals indexed by the SSCI. We propose a study based on the origins and the future research agenda of social learning for policy design. The results reveal that "environment", "governance", and "social" represent the knowledge base. These topics have evolved over time and have become established as a consolidated intellectual structure. In addition, a new topic called "media and news" has emerged, focusing on the challenges of spreading fake news and learning manipulation in a post-truth world. The cluster "Media and news" is gaining significance due to its impact on the dissemination of information and the shaping of opinions in contemporary society. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Since their creation, geoparks have been among the fastest growing natural environments. Their attractiveness is one of the most important factors for the success of this natural destination. Despite their importance, a bibliometric analysis on geopark attractiveness is missing from the studied databases. The aim of this paper is to synthesise a heterogeneous body of knowledge of geoparks in terms of attractiveness, highlighting the evolution and breadth of the research field. To achieve this, the following objectives were set: (a) to adopt a method based on functions provided by the bibliometrix package to automatically combine databases, namely WoS, Scopus, PubMed and Dimensions, detailing the method used and (b) to analyse the bibliometric indicators in order to identify the trends in the literature and the possible directions for future research. The applied methodology was based on bibliometric analysis using R for non-coders. From the 707 documents retrieved, the validation process resulted in 349 eligible documents published between 2002 and 2024, on which the analysis was carried out. The current study elaborated a method and examined the key information on the topic trends, which were given by production performance, productivity trends, spatial analysis and abstract approach analysis. Additionally, strategic mapping of the conceptual context was performed. Thus, the result provides a description of the automatic method with practical applications. As discerned from the three-dimensional analysis (spatial, temporal and size), the emerging research directions within scientific creativity encompassed (1) forms of tourism practiced in geoparks, especially focused on ecotourism and volcanic tourism; (2) geomorphological features, mineral springs and mud volcanoes; (3) aesthetic aspects, scenic sites and mining heritage; and (4) methodology, data analysis and modelling methods across different regions and countries. Abstract DeFi blockchain technology, known as decentralized finance today, separates from the traditional financial ecosystem and ushers the new financial landscape onto digital platforms. In decentralized financial applications, all digital assets are safeguarded by blockchain technology. Thanks to this technology, investors can transfer their financial assets without being dependent on banking authorities. Despite the numerous advantages they bring, financial assets based on the decentralized finance ecosystem come with certain disadvantages. These assets are difficult to control, easily manipulated, and are at risk due to their vulnerability to cyberattacks. This study conducted bibliometric analyses on a total of 930 publications registered in the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases using the VOSviewer program. In both databases, “all fields” were filtered and scanned with the keyword “decentralized finance.” According to the results, the Scopus database has much richer content compared to the WoS database. The most cited author in the Scopus database was Chen Y, while in the WoS database, it was Nakomoto S. There has been a significant increase in the number of publications in both databases since 2020. Additionally, it was detected that the most cited countries in both databases were the USA, China and England, respectively. It has been observed that computer science comes to the fore in the publication rankings. Decentralized finance is an interdisciplinary field of study. Therefore, many more qualified hybrid studies are needed. More studies are needed, especially examining investor behavior. The analyses presented in this article will enable researchers to grasp the bigger picture from a holistic perspective.

In recent years, smart fisheries, as an emerging model for fishery development, have become a research hotspot in the fishery and aquaculture industries of many countries. Smart fisheries can be thought of as a system that combines techniques for raising, catching, or selling aquatic products to improve production and sustainable development. Smart fisheries are crucial to improving fishery and aquaculture management. In this study, a comprehensive analysis was conducted using bibliometric analysis, the results of which are presented through visual mapping and data charts. This study collected data from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database and compared it with the WoS database. A total of 949 articles were retrieved on topics related to smart fisheries, including 579 articles from WoS and 370 articles from CNKI. The results present the visualization and analysis of annual publications, author collaboration maps, research collaboration institutions, keywords, etc. The development of smart fisheries in China is obviously different from that in foreign countries. China attaches great importance to technology and production, while foreign countries focus on environmental issues. Therefore, this study helps us to understand the current research status, research hotspots, and future development directions of smart fisheries, providing certain references for future management. To sort out the research trend and provide forward-looking reference for domestic follow-up research, CiteSpace was used to analyze visually 8985 papers in the field of industrial carbon emission published in the Web of Science (WoS) from 1991-2021. The results showed that: (1) Since 1991, international industrial carbon emissions research had experienced three periods, budding stage, steady improvement stage, and explosive growth stage. The popularity of research in this field had continued to rise, and the chain growth rate of annual papers has been maintained between 6. 01% and 19. 70% in the past five years. Internationally, the United States first began to study industrial carbon emissions. China ranked first in the number of articles, but the research started relatively late, and the cooperation between China and other countries except Australia was weaker. (2) The research focuses were mostly about CO2 emission, atmosphere CO2, ecosystem and energy consumption. These keywords (such as, industrial ecology, black carbon, renewable energy, urbanization, etc) would be the research frontier and trend in this field, because their emergence intensity was large. (3) This paper roughly divided the hot topics into the research on the driving factors of the growth of carbon emissions, the research on the decoupling of carbon emissions and economic growth, and carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS). It reflected the evolution process from theoretical research to specific application. In conclusion, domestic scholars should learn from the relevant experience of international research, and on the basis of grasping the overall research context, further dig deep research is needed. it is necessary to innovate research methods, strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, and provide theoretical basis for the sustainable development of China's economy from the perspective of industrial carbon emission. ENVIRONMENTAL research ,AGRICULTURAL modernization ,STANDARD of living ,NATURAL resources ,SOFTWARE development tools ,NETWORK governance - Abstract
Rural environmental governance serves as the foundational pillar of national governance, intricately linked to the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, as well as the cultivation of rural culture. Furthermore, it plays a pivotal role in fostering industrial prosperity, ensuring effective governance, and elevating living standards. This study employs a range of sophisticated software tools, including VOSviewer, Bibliometrix, and ArcGIS, among others, to analyze and construct a comprehensive knowledge map encompassing 3370 research articles focused on rural environmental governance, sourced from the CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) and WOS (Web of Science) databases. This analytical endeavor delves into research themes, key areas of interest, developmental milestones, and emerging trends within the realm of rural environmental governance, thereby shedding light on the overarching trajectory of research endeavors in this domain within China. The findings reveal distinct phases in the evolution of research trends in the Chinese rural environmental governance literature, encompassing four distinct epochs: a period of sluggish growth (2002–2009), a phase of accelerated expansion (2009–2014), a span marked by stable and rapid advancement (2014–2021), and a recent period characterized by fluctuating decline (2021–2022). Moreover, the analysis highlights a burgeoning diversity in the distribution of relevant research disciplines. However, it is noteworthy that there exists a scarcity of highly prolific authors, and the formation of cohesive research teams has encountered challenges, underscoring significant deficiencies in research collaboration and academic discourse. As a prospective direction, future research should be tailored to the unique natural resources and socio-human characteristics intrinsic to different regions. It should also emphasize interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary investigations, with a focal point on economically disadvantaged regions situated in the central and western parts of the nation. Such an approach aims to bolster the overall caliber of domestic research endeavors in the field of rural environmental governance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Seed orchards are important seed resources for producing improved tree crops for future plantations, forest restoration, and forestry practices (i.e., gene conservation) and for transmitting current gene diversity to future generations. Seed orchards are a major sub-division in forest science. The establishment and management of a seed orchard involves many steps, from the selection of superior trees to the harvesting of a seed crop. Studying the trends and future directions of seed orchards using different analysis methods is critically important, especially to establish resistant forests via the production of climate-smart, biotic/abiotic-stress-resistant seedling materials. Published papers related to seed orchards should be analyzed to determine the current trends in this field and to contribute to its future directions. Bibliometric analysis has been used for different purposes in various scientific fields. However, it has not been performed for publications in seed orchards. This study was carried out to analyze the current trends of research on seed orchards and to determine the future directions of these orchards based on published papers. For these purposes, 1018 published papers were obtained from the Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, and citation index databases of "Web of Science" using the keyword "seed orchard". The papers were published between 1980 and 2022 and were subjected to bibliometric analysis based on the most prolific contributors, references, countries, and keywords. CiteSpace software 6.1 R6 was applied to visualize information about seed orchard research. The average number of citations per publication was 13.05, and the 4 H-Index of the publication set was 48. The most prolific contributors with the strongest citation bursts, the highest centrality, and the greatest numbers of published papers were from Canada, Sweden, South Korea, Finland, and Czech Republic, while Canada (186 published articles), the USA (140), and Sweden (115), together with China, Brazil, and Germany, were active countries, especially based on citations from recent years. The "keywords" of the papers were the core of the research. "Mating pattern", "Swedish forestry", "fertility variation", "Hymenoscyphus fraxineus", "threatened Pacific sandalwood", "outbreeding depression", "climate change", "management", and "growth", together with others such as "genetic improvement" and "effective size", were active study areas and keywords, based on results of the analysis. They also guided the literature search and inventory and classification of early studies and served as predictors for future studies. The results of this study are discussed based on the trends and future directions of the research and development of seed orchards. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This bibliometric study examines the scientific production in mathematical education of 23,094 articles from 37 specialized mathematical education journals, indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, considering all records up to the year 2022. The analysis was conducted globally and regionally, including Latin America, Africa, Europe, the United States, and Canada. Articles were analyzed using rhizomatic conceptual spaces, which allow the representation of relationships between words present in the titles and keywords of articles through graphs, thereby identifying thematic nodes and connections, as well as visible and invisible peripheral elements. The results reveal the diversity of terms used in the field and the difficulties in capturing a disciplinary field using certain keywords. Common thematic nodes such as teaching, learning, knowledge, problem-solving, curriculum, assessment, and technology were observed, as well as regional differences in focus areas and theoretical currents. The study also highlights underexplored areas and suggests possible future research paths, including expanding searches in specialized sources, bibliometric analysis of specific topics, and temporal comparison of trends in the field. This study extensively investigates 4,557 articles pertaining to immigrants' cross-cultural adaptation (ICCA) published between 1963 and 2022 in Web of Science (WoS)-core collection database by presenting a state-of-the-art bibliometric analysis and visualizing knowledge maps with a set of analytical tools including VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and Bibliometrix. The collected sample covers 9,791 authors, 1,473 sources, 81 countries and regions, and 2,682 institutions. The major aim of the study is to explore the research status and progress on a global scale in terms of different parameters in a quantitative and visual manner and discern the overall development in research hotspots. The research findings reveal that publications on ICCA have registered marked increases over time and that the degree of research varies remarkably in countries/territories, authors, institutions, and sources. A host of scholars are predominantly focused on "acculturation," "integration," and "attitude" in addition to "immigrant" themselves, whereas some started to take up research on emerging topics like "social network," "national identity," "Syrian refugee," "resilience," "social integration," "work," and "employment." Future research directions on ICCA research have been justified accordingly. To the best of our knowledge, our study is the first review of its kind in the field and offers multiple influential research avenues, which may provide unique and essential perspectives and ideas for scholars to carry out relevant research down the road. It is hoped that this study is expected to stir up more research interest in ICCA research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this study, it was aimed to analyze the bibliometric properties of 501 ḥadīth-themed research articles scanned in the WOS database between 2005 and 2023. In this way, it is thought that the study will guide future articles on ḥadīth. The indexes in which the 501 research articles that make up the data set of the study were scanned were generally determined as the SSCI, AHCI and ESCI indexes. As a method, the following study method was followed: The data set on which the study was based was taken from the Web of Science database with the keyword "Ḥadīth". The resulting Bibtext output was visualized in the R Studio bibliometrics application and divided into headings according to certain parameters in line with the questions of the study. One of the most important outcomes of this study was determined as the answer to the following question: What is the place of Turkish theologians and theology journals in ḥadīth research in the world? The importance of this study is to be able to make predictions and suggestions about the future of ḥadīth studies in the world by being familiar with their past. The most important result of the study can be mentioned as follows: Turkish theologians have reached a remarkable level in terms of productivity and therefore quantity of publications in the field of ḥadīth. However, Turkish theologians, who have their names written on the longest lines of the graphs, are far behind in terms of influence in the field in question. It can be said that the most important reason for this is the reluctance to write articles in English, which is the biggest factor of international impact and recognition. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BackgroundCardiovascular disease (CVD) is a prevalent non-communicable disease globally and holds the position of being the primary cause of mortality worldwide. Consequently, considerable focus has been directed towards the prevention and management of CVD. PCSK9, a frequently targeted element in the treatment and prevention of CVD, can reduce cardiovascular risk by effectively lowering lipid levels even in the context of statin therapy. It also exhibits substantial potential in the diagnosis and treatment of familial hypercholesterolemia from genetic aspects. This bibliometric study aims to analyze and visualize the global trends and emerging hotspots of PCSK9 and CVD researches and provide researchers with new perspectives in further studies.MethodsThe data was obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection database. A total of 2,474 publications related to PCSK9 and CVD published between January 2006 and July 2023 were included. The VOSviewer was used to analyze most-cited references, co-authorship, co-citation, co-occurrence and generate a collaborative network map of authors, countries, and institutions. CiteSpace was used to analyze author and institution centroids, keyword bursts, and timeline graphs.ResultA total of 2,474 articles related to CVD and PCSK9 were included. The number of articles and citations show an increasing trend from year to year. Publications were mainly from the United States. The most active institution was Amgen Inc. Road safety is an important subject to study in both the technical and academic fields of road transportation. In recent years, there has been a significant rise in the number of studies that look at how intelligent transportation systems (ITS) can be used and what role it plays in making roads safer in different countries. Nevertheless, there are still relatively few in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses published on the topic of ITS's role in ensuring road safety. For this purpose, the main goal of this study is to look at a thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis of how ITS is used in road safety as a part of transportation engineering. In this study, we reviewed the scientific studies done on the use of ITS in studies of road safety from 1990s to 2022. These studies were published in journals or presented at conferences that were part of the Web of Science (WoS) Index. The analysis in this study gives a thorough map of the field, showing how it has changed over time and pointing the way to new areas of research.

The objective of this study is to perform a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the existing literature on breast cancer segmentation using deep learning techniques. Data for this analysis were obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection (WOS-CC) that spans from 2019 to 2023. The study is based on a comprehensive collection of 985 documents that cover a substantial body of research findings related to the application of deep learning techniques in segmenting breast cancer images. The analysis reveals an annual increase in the number of published works at a rate of 16.69%, indicating a consistent and robust increase in research efforts during the specified time frame. Examining the occurrence of keywords from 2019 to 2023, it is evident that the term "convolutional neural network" exhibited a notable frequency, reaching its peak in 2021. However, the term "machine learning" demonstrated the highest overall frequency, peaking around 2021 as well. This emphasizes the importance of machine learning in the advancement of image segmentation algorithms and convolutional neural networks, which have shown exceptional effectiveness in image analysis tasks. Furthermore, the utilization of latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) to identify topics resulted in a relatively uniform distribution, with each topic having an equivalent number of abstracts. This indicates that the data set encompasses a diverse range of topics within the field of deep learning as it relates to breast cancer image segmentation. However, it should be noted that topic 4 has the highest level of significance, suggesting that the application of deep learning for diagnosis was extensively explored in this study.
