This research studied the effects of mooring line pretension, spring safe working load, and spring response curve on peak loads and platform surge. The maximum tension load from the optimized assembly was applied to a modelled section of 8-strand multiplait rope to study stress concentrations. The analyses yielded a mooring line pretensioned at 1250 kN with a 4500 kN safe working load degressive spring was optimal. Fatigue damage from 12-hour duration of 50-year storm conditions was 8.04 × 10−6. Infinite life is predicted at annual average conditions. The peak tension from 50-year storm conditions of 3671 kN and annual average conditions of 1388 kN was applied to the section model, yielding a maximum stress of 3.70 × 108 Pa and 2.01 × 108 Pa, respectively, from friction and longitudinal compression of the rope’s cross section. El presente trabajo de final de grado en Ingeniería en Electrónica Industrial y Automática tiene como aspecto general diseñar la electrónica de una turbina eólica de baja potencia, contando también con en el diseño mecánico utilizando tecnología de impresión en 3D. Este proyecto se verá afectado por las limitaciones de presupuesto y tiempo, por lo que se busca encontrar la solución más eficiente y rentable para construir una turbina eólica funcional, capaz de cargar una batería para así aprovechar la energía producida más adelante. En cuanto a la parte electrónica, se evaluarán diferentes técnicas y estrategias para lograr una optimización en el rendimiento de la turbina. Se investigarán los distintos tipos de controladores, sensores y circuitos que se pueden utilizar para controlar el movimiento y la velocidad de la turbina, así como la generación y almacenamiento de energía eléctrica, teniendo en cuenta la eficiencia energética y el bajo costo. En cuanto al diseño mecánico, se utilizará tecnología de impresión 3D para la fabricación de los componentes mecánicos, lo que permitirá una mayor precisión y control en la fabricación de los mismos. Además, se prestará especial atención a la resistencia y durabilidad de los componentes a través de su diseño, para asegurar un funcionamiento óptimo y una larga vida útil de la turbina. Se llevarán a cabo diferentes pruebas y simulaciones para evaluar el rendimiento de la turbina en diferentes condiciones de viento, y se realizarán ajustes en su diseño en caso de ser necesario, con el fin de maximizar la eficiencia y reducir los costos. En resumen, este proyecto de final de grado en Ingeniería en Electrónica Industrial y Automática se enfoca en el diseño electrónico de una turbina eólica de baja potencia y en el diseño mecánico utilizando tecnología de impresión 3D., El present treball de final de grau en Enginyeria en Electrònica Industrial i Automàtica té com a aspecte general dissenyar l'electrònica d'una turbina eòlica de baixa potència, comptant també en el disseny mecànic utilitzant tecnologia d'impressió en 3D. Aquest projecte es veurà afectat per les limitacions de pressupost i temps, per la qual cosa es busca trobar la solució més eficient i rendible per construir una turbina eòlica funcional, capaç de carregar una bateria per aprofitar l'energia produïda més endavant. Pel que fa a la part electrònica, s'avaluaran diferents tècniques i estratègies per aconseguir una optimització en el rendiment de la turbina. S'investigaran els diferents tipus de controladors, sensors i circuits que es poden utilitzar per controlar el moviment i la velocitat de la turbina, així com la generació i emmagatzematge d'energia elèctrica, tenint en compte l'eficiència energètica i el baix cost. Pel que fa al disseny mecànic, s'utilitzarà tecnologia d'impressió 3D per a la fabricació dels components mecànics, el que permet una major precisió i control en la fabricació dels mateixos. A més, es prestarà especial atenció a la resistència i durabilitat dels components a través del seu disseny, per assegurar un funcionament òptim i una llarga vida útil de la turbina. Es portaran a terme diferents proves i simulacions per avaluar el rendiment de la turbina en diferents condicions de vent, i es realitzaran ajustos en el seu disseny en cas de ser necessari, amb la finalitat de maximitzar l'eficiència i reduir els costos. En resum, aquest projecte de final de grau en Enginyeria en Electrònica Industrial i Automàtica es centra en el disseny electrònic d'una turbina eòlica de baixa potència i en el disseny mecànic utilitzant tecnologia d'impressió 3D, This final degree project in Engineering in Industrial and Automatic Electronics aims to design the electronics of a low-power wind turbine, as well as the mechanical design using 3D printing technology. This project will be affected by budget and time constraints, so the aim is to find the most efficient and cost-effective solution to build a functional wind turbine capable of charging a battery to harness energy produced later. Regarding the electronic part, different techniques and strategies will be evaluated to optimize the turbine's performance. Various types of controllers, sensors, and circuits that can be used to control the movement and speed of the turbine, as well as the generation and storage of electrical energy, will be investigated, taking into account energy efficiency and low cost. In terms of mechanical design, 3D printing technology will be used to manufacture the mechanical components, which will allow for greater precision and control in their production. Additionally, special attention will be paid to the resistance and durability of the components through their design, to ensure optimal operation and a long lifespan of the turbine. Different tests and simulations will be carried out to evaluate the turbine's performance under different wind conditions, and adjustments will be made to its design if necessary, in order to maximize efficiency and reduce costs. In summary, this final degree project in Engineering in Industrial and Automatic Electronics focuses on the electronic design of a low-power wind turbine and mechanical design using 3D printing technology.

Aquest projecte, relacionat amb l’energia eòlica, presenta el procés d’anàlisi i disseny d’un aerogenerador que ofereix una solució innovadora per a la producció d’energia renovable. La proposta de disseny presentada en aquest treball té com a finalitat oferir un aerogenerador eficient que treballa d’una manera sostenible i net. Aquest projecte pretén introduir el lector al camp de l'energia eòlica mitjançant una introducció, on s'esmenta la teoria a la praxi del dispositiu, juntament amb el funcionament i la problemàtica relacionada. Seguidament, mitjançant una sèrie d'estudis sobre els principis físics de funcionament, el potencial eòlic existent i l'estudi de mercat, s'estableixen unes especificacions de disseny que han servit com a guia per desenvolupar un disseny que garanteix el funcionament correcte de l’aerogenerador de forma eficient i neta. Alhora, es duu a terme una selecció adequada de materials i estudis de viabilitat necessaris per garantir el funcionament òptim de l'aparell, així com una anàlisi econòmica per avaluar-ne la rendibilitat. Finalment, es presenta els resultats de simulació de l’aerogenerador mitjançant programaris de modelatge 3D per provar la resistència de l'aerogenerador a les forces que hi actuen i per dur a terme una anàlisi computacional de la dinàmica de fluids (CFD) del flux de vent que travessa l'aerogenerador. D'aquesta manera s'ha aconseguit desenvolupar un aerogenerador eficient que opera de manera neta i sostenible, Este proyecto relacionado con la energía eólica presenta el proceso de análisis y diseño de un aerogenerador que ofrece una solución innovadora para la producción de energía renovable. La propuesta de diseño presentada en este trabajo tiene como finalidad ofrecer un aerogenerador eficiente que trabaja de forma sostenible y limpia. Este proyecto pretende introducir al lector en el campo de la energía eólica mediante una introducción, donde se menciona la teoría en la praxis del dispositivo, junto con el funcionamiento y la problemática relacionada. Seguidamente, mediante una serie de estudios sobre los principios físicos de funcionamiento, el potencial eólico existente y el estudio de mercado, se establecen unas especificaciones de diseño que han servido como guía para desarrollar un diseño que garantiza el correcto funcionamiento del aerogenerador de forma eficiente y limpia. Asimismo, se lleva a cabo una adecuada selección de materiales y estudios de viabilidad necesarios para garantizar el funcionamiento óptimo del aparato, así como un análisis económico para evaluar su rentabilidad. Por último, se presenta los resultados de simulación del aerogenerador mediante softwares de modelado 3D para probar la resistencia del aerogenerador a las fuerzas que actúan y para llevar a cabo un análisis computacional de la dinámica de fluidos (CFD) del flujo de viento que atraviesa el aerogenerador. De esta forma se ha conseguido desarrollar un aerogenerador eficiente que opera de forma limpia y sostenible., This project related to wind energy presents the process of analysis and design of a wind turbine that offers an innovative solution to produce renewable energy. The design proposal presented in this work aims to offer an efficient wind turbine that works in a sustainable and clean way. This project aims to introduce the reader to the field of wind energy through an introduction, where the theory in the praxis of the device is mentioned, along with the operation and related problematics. Then, through a series of studies on the physical principles of operation, the existing wind potential and the market study, design specifications are established that have served as a guide to develop a design that guarantees the correct operation of the wind turbine in an efficient and clean way. Likewise, an adequate selection of materials and feasibility studies are carried out to guarantee the optimal operation of the device, as well as economic analysis to evaluate its profitability. Finally, the simulation results of the wind turbine are presented using 3D modeling software to test the resistance of the wind turbine to the acting forces and to carry out a computational analysis of the fluid dynamics (CFD) of the wind flow through the wind turbine. In this way, it has been possible to develop an efficient wind turbine that operates in a clean and sustainable way.

The EU Horizon 2020 project COREWIND (COst REduction and increase performance of floating WIND technology) has developed two floating platforms for the new International Energy Agency (IEA) Wind 15MW reference wind turbine. One design – “WindCrete” – is a spar floater, and the other – “Activefloat” – is a semi-submersible floater; both designs are made of concrete. In this work the design of the floaters is introduced with their aero–hydro–servo-elastic numerical models, and the responses of both floaters in both static and dynamic simulations are investigated. The static displacements and natural frequencies are simulated and discussed. Additionally, the effects of the mean wave drift forces and second-order difference-frequency wave forces on the systems' responses are presented. The increase in the turbine's power capacity to 15MW in IEA Wind model leads to an increase in inertial forces and aerodynamic thrust force when compared to similar floating platforms coupled to the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) 10MW reference model. The goal of this work is to investigate the floaters' responses for different load cases. The results in this paper suggest that at mild wave loads the motion responses of the 15MW floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs) are dominated by low-frequency forces. Therefore, motions are dominated by the wind forces and second-order wave forces rather than the first-order wave forces. El problema energético mundial está afectando cada vez más a la sociedad, por eso la energía eólica se ha vuelto una solución a este problema. Este se trata de un es un recurso viable y muy fácil de conseguir, sin embargo, los aerogeneradores han tenido una lenta evolución al largo del tiempo. El micro aerogenerador Savonius es una turbina eólica de eje vertical que se caracteriza por tener un funcionamiento a muy baja velocidad del viento. Además tiene una fabricación sencilla y económica. Tras la elección de este rotor, en este proyecto se realiza una mejora en el diseño de la turbina combinando diferentes factores: la modificación en las aspas, así como unos deflectores que ayudan a redirigir el aire
