In addition to the already established and conventional X-ray absorption contrast, grating-based Talbot-Lau interferometry provides the opportunity to introduce complementary contrast modalities of phase contrast and dark-field imaging with lab-based X-ray tubes. This thesis aims for further technical development and optimization of a preclinical in-vivo phase contrast and dark-field microCT. Compact synchrotron sources based on inverse Compton scattering facilitate the access to a monochromatic X-ray beam and enable the transfer of imaging techniques that were limited to synchrotron facilities into a laboratory environment. For this thesis, K-edge subtraction and X-ray fluorescence imaging were implemented at the Munich Compact Light Source and their use for biomedical applications was investigated. The results imply that the imaging techniques are good candidates for future clinical application., Kompakte Synchrotron Quellen basierend auf inverser Compton Streuung erleichtern den Zugang zu monochromatischen Röntgenstrahlen und erlauben den Transfer von bisher an Synchrotronen angewandten Methoden in eine Laborumgebung.
