Signatures of isospin effects were investigated for neutron-rich (124Sn+64Ni) and neutron-poor (112Sn+58Ni) systems at 35 MeV/nucleon for noncentral collisions. The centrality dependence of these signatures was tested for several impact parameter estimators. Our main observations are (i) the yields of 1H and 3He particles in the neutron-poor system are strongly enhanced with respect to the neutron-rich system, and the yields of 3H, 6He, and 7,8Li are suppressed at all impact parameters, (ii) the yields of 2H, 4He, and 6Li particles are almost the same for both systems, (iii) the N/Z ratio of intermediate mass fragments is correlated with the neutron richness of the system and is weakly dependent on the centrality of the collision, and (iv) the neutron richness of the detected fragments increases strongly with decreasing rapidity in the range from that of the projectile-like fragment to the c.m. region. The gross features of experimental data are reproduced by quantum molecular dynamics model calculations. A comparison between model calculations and the data indicates that the fragments produced in the c.m. regions are weakly excited.

In order to obtain information on the time sequence and time scale of the production of intermediate mass fragments (IMF) in nucleus-nucleus collisions at intermediate energies it is proposed to analyze correlations between relative velocities of IMF's with respect to projectile-like fragments (PLF) and target-like fragments (TLF). Experimental data on the production of IMF's in the 124Sn+64Ni reaction, taken with the CHIMERA multidetector array at 35 MeV/nucleon, have been analyzed with the proposed method. HADRONS ,VACUUM POLARIZATION - Abstract
In a high precision experiment, Mott scattering of the Pb-208 + Pb-208 system was measured at E(lab) = 873.40 MeV and 1129.74 MeV with kinematic coincidences for angle pairs around theta(lab) = 30-degrees, 60-degrees and theta(lab) = 45-degrees, 45-degrees. The observed Mott oscillations exhibit an angular shift with respect to pure Mott scattering. A comparison with the angular shift produced by a color van der Waals force including nuclear polarizability, vacuum polarization, relativistic effects, and electronic screening provides a new upper limit for the strength of this force. Influence of atomic effects other than screening were identified for the first time.

International audience; Recent results of the INDRA collaboration are presented in thiscontribution. They concern the evolution of reaction dynamics fromthe first stage of the collision to the production of fragments. Differentprobes are used to evidence the stopping/transparency, collective flowand the symmetry energy term of the nuclear equation of state.

NIM; International audience; The yield of light charged particles and intermediate mass fragments is studied for the neutron-rich, $^{124}$Sn+$^{64}$Ni, and neutron-poor, $^{112}$Sn+$^{58}$Ni, reactions at 35 MeV/nucleon as a function of the impact parameter. Our main observations are: (i) The yields of $^{1}$H, $^{3}$He and $^{4}$He particles in the neutron-poor system are enhanced with respect to the neutron-rich system and the yield of $^{3}$H is suppressed at all impact parameters, (ii) The ratio of $^{3}H to $^{3}$He yield is three times larger for neutron poor system, (iii) The N/Z ratio of the emitted intermediate-mass fragments shows dependence on the isospin of the system, (iv) The neutron richness of detected intermediate mass fragments depends strongly on their rapidity. The gross features of the experimental data are reproduced by quantum molecular dynamics model calculations.

- Abstract
Distributions of the largest fragment charge, Zmax, in multifragmentation reactions around the Fermi energy can be decomposed into a sum of a Gaussian and a Gumbel distribution, whereas at much higher or lower energies one or the other distribution is asymptotically dominant. We demonstrate the same generic behavior for the largest cluster size in critical aggregation models for small systems, in or out of equilibrium, around the critical point. By analogy with the time-dependent irreversible aggregation model, we infer that Zmax distributions are characteristic of the multifragmentation time scale, which is largely determined by the onset of radial expansion in this energy range.

- Abstract
Fragment partitions of fragmenting hot nuclei produced in central and semiperipheral collisions have been compared in the excitation energy region 4-10 MeV per nucleon where radial collective expansion takes place. It is shown that, for a given total excitation energy per nucleon, the amount of radial collective energy fixes the mean fragment multiplicity. It is also shown that, at a given total excitation energy per nucleon, the different properties of fragment partitions are completely determined by the reduced fragment multiplicity (i.e., normalized to the source size). Freeze-out volumes seem to play a role in the scalings observed.

- Abstract
The charge distribution of the heaviest fragment detected in the decay of quasiprojectiles produced in intermediate energy heavy-ion collisions has been observed to be bimodal. This feature is expected as a generic signal of phase transition in nonextensive systems. In this Letter, we present new analyses of experimental data from Au on Au collisions at 60, 80, and 100 MeV/nucleon showing that bimodality is largely independent of the data selection procedure and of entrance channel effects. An estimate of the latent heat of the transition is extracted.

- Abstract
A new reaction mechanism of violent reseparation of a heavy nucleus-nucleus system, 197Au + 197Au, into three or four massive fragments in collisions at 15 MeV/nucleon has been observed. After reseparation, the fragments are almost exactly aligned, thus showing a very short time scale of the reseparation process, of about 70-80 fm/c.

- Abstract
Multifragmentation of a "fused system" was observed for central collisions between 32 MeV/nucleon 129Xe and (nat)Sn. Most of the resulting charged products were well identified due to the high performances of the INDRA 4pi array. Experimental higher-order charge correlations for fragments show a weak but nonambiguous enhancement of events with nearly equal-sized fragments. Supported by dynamical calculations in which spinodal decomposition is simulated, this observed enhancement is interpreted as a "fossil" signal of spinodal instabilities in finite nuclear systems.
