Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) hold great promise as sustainable bioenergy sources, with their performance intricately linked to the formation and characteristics of biofilms. This study delves into the bio-electrochemical perspective of biofilms in MFCs, aiming to elucidate their pivotal role in MFC functionality. The investigation focused on a yeast-based MFC operated through 48 h per cycle, with cycle 5 marking the maturation stage of biofilm formation. During this phase, voltage stability was observed, with a stationary phase voltage of 38.9±2.6 mV. Notably, cycle 5 exhibited a significant boost in power density, reaching 8.82 mW m-2, accom­panied by the lowest internal resistance of 100 Ω. Furthermore, the electron transfer rate constant from cycle 5 is 1.14±0.02 s-1, 57 times higher than the initial, underscoring biofilm's catalytic potential. Additionally, cyclic voltammetry unveiled non-linear relationships between redox reaction peak current and scan rate, with a consistent DEp of ~219 mV at 100 mV s-1. Importantly, elemental analysis disclosed incorporating diverse elements (Na, Al, Si, P, S, Cl, K, Ca, Cr, and Fe) into the carbon felt, signifying their association with biofilm development. These findings offer critical insights into optimizing MFC performance through biofilm modulation, advancing sustainable bioenergy technologies.

In Indonesia, coal-fired power plants (CFPP) account for nearly 70% of the nation’s electricity supply, contributing significantly to global warming. Biomass co-firing program for CFPP offers a potential solution. This study analyzes the impact of co-firing between blending of Low Rank Coal (LRC) with Medium Rank Coal (MRC) and wood pellet biomass, on the performance of 615 MW capacity CFFP. Using simulations with Cycletempo software, the research examines operational parameters such as plant efficiency, the performance of auxiliary equipment, and a techno-economic analysis focusing on carbon trading. The biomass co-firing tested reached up to 50%, with results indicating that increasing biomass content tends to reduce overall plant efficiency. Results indicate that at 100% load, the plant can accommodate up to 10% biomass co-firing, and at 75% load, it can handle up to 30%. Co-firing beyond 30% requires increased pulverizer power for stable operation. From techno-economic perspective, while co-firing reduces greenhouse gas emissions and generates benefits from carbon trading, the operational costs associated with fuel under co-firing are not yet fully profitable. This study offers guidance on increasing the co-firing ratio as part of the energy transition towards net zero emissions 2060 and provides recommendations for optimizing fuel mixtures in CFFP.

Vanda limbata is one of the most popular ornamental orchids. Currently, its growth is slow, making it necessary to improve its cultivation techniques. One of the possible ways to achieve this is to use plant growth regulator (PGR) treatment. Thidiazuron (TDZ) is a cytokinin used to increase the growth of V. limbata. This study aimed to determine the effect of TDZ concentration on the growth rate of V. limbata. The study involved cultivating V. limbata on planting media and spraying it with TDZ at various concentrations. This research uses a CRD (Completely Randomized Design) singlefactor, which is TDZ concentration at three concentrations (factor levels) of 0, 25, and 50 ppm. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and Duncan's Multiple Range Test at 5% significance level. The study ran for three months and the following response variables were measure: the number of new leaves, increase in length of old leaves, length of new leaves, increase in width of old leaves, width of new leaves, number of roots, and stomatal density. The results showed that TDZ significantly increased leaf length and the number of new leaves of V. limbata, but decreased the density of stomata. Shallots are bulb-shaped commodities that are difficult to maintain in new conditions because they are easily damaged. An effective effort to prevent deterioration of food quality during storage is by coating it using nano chitosan. The effectiveness of nano chitosan is influenced by particle size which related to the ratio of chitosan and STPP (sodium tripolyphosphate). This study aimed to determine the effect of nano chitosan coating with the addition of different ratios of chitosan and STPP and the appropriate ratio of chitosan and STPP on nano chitosan as a coating to maintain the quality of shallot bulbs (Allium ascalonicum L. var. Bauji). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with four treatments and five replications. The treatments of this research were P0= Control, PI= Nano chitosan ratio of chitosan: STPP 1:3, P2= Nano chitosan ratio of chitosan:STPP 1:4, and P3= Nano chitosan ratio of chitosan:STPP 1:5. The variables of this study were the percentage of damage, the percentage of diameter shrinkage, weight loss, color, hardness, and moisture content. Data were analyzed using the ANOVA test and continued with the DMRT test. The application of nano chitosan coating on shallot bulbs could reduce damage, shrinkage of tuber diameter, weight loss, color, hardness, and decrease in water content better than the control treatment. The best results were shown by treatment P3 (1:5) with a percentage of damage of 8%, diameter shrinkage of 20.20%, weight loss of 18.40%, total color change of 54.45, hardness of 226.23 N, and a decrease in water content of 4.65% at the final water content of 79.09%.

Cymbidium ensifolium is a terrestrial orchid. Exploitation of orchids in nature causes extinction, so conversation efforts are needed, one of that efforts is ex situ conversation. The cultivation process is adapted by natural conditions, using natural material. One of organic fertilizers is liquid organic fertilizers based on coconut water and rice washing water. This research aims to studied the effect of applying liquid organic fertilizer (POC) made from coconut water and rice washing water with different concentration for growth of Cymbidiun ensifolium. This study was conducted from November 2021 to February 2022 was experimental garden used randomized block design with one factor and the concentration of POC is 0%, 15% and 30%. The method that used is ex situ, planting using polybags with soil medium: husk: husk hairy = 1:1:1 and mycoryza 5 gr. Result of ANOVA and DMRT anlysis showed that POC from coconut water and rice washing water had an effect on growth of Cymbidium ensifolium. concentration 30% of liquid organic fertilizer is optimal for shoot length, length and width leaf. The novelty of this research is use combination of coconut water and rice washing water as the basic ingredients for making fertilizer.

The 610 MW subcritical power plant was originally designed to operate at a constant base load with fixed boiler steam pressure. However, due to grid oversupply conditions, the plant frequently operates at partial loads, resulting in increased inefficiencies caused by throttle losses, particularly during minimum load operations, which significantly reduce high-pressure (HP) turbine efficiency. This study investigates the impact of sliding pressure operation, which involves varying boiler steam pressure with load, on overall plant efficiency compared to constant pressure operation. A virtual plant simulation was employed to model the heat and mass balance of the power plant and simulate operational scenarios under varying steam pressures. The optimal simulation results were validated through direct testing on the plant, followed by performance analysis. The results reveal that sliding pressure operation improves HP turbine efficiency by 5-7%, reduces the net plant heat rate (NPHR) by 57 kcal/kWh, and enhances overall thermal efficiency by 0.35% at 57% load (350 MW). In Indonesia, many local websites, such as Irama Nusantara, hold valuable information related to music and culture. Although rich in data, the utilization of this information is still limited. This research aims to utilize query expansion techniques through data mining methods in analyzing data from the Irama Nusantara website. Data was collected from the Irama Nusantara website through a crawling process, resulting in 5404 entries covering audio, images and text. The analysis was conducted using Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques starting with the preprocessing stage. Next, the K-Means algorithm was applied for clustering, and the Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method was used for term weighting. Classification models were built using Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Naive Bayes for comparison. The analysis shows that the use of query expansion significantly improves the accuracy of information retrieval on the Irama Nusantara website. The method evaluation showed that SVM gave better results in terms of accuracy and precision compared to Naive Bayes. In addition, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) shows that 70-95% of the variance in the data can be explained by the resulting principal components, which signifies the efficiency of the applied method. This research not only provides a deeper insight into the patterns and trends in the analyzed data, but also contributes to the development of information technology in the field of culture in Indonesia. Student transfers are a significant issue in schools and can affect the dynamics of education and student performance. This research aims to predict student transfers using a comparative analysis of three classification methods: Support Vector Machine (SVM), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Naïve Bayes. The study utilizes historical data from BK Palu School, covering the years 2022 to 2024, which includes demographic, academic, socio-economic, and student quality information. The methodology involves data collection, data preparation, algorithm selection, implementation, and evaluation of the three methods. The performance of the classification methods is assessed using metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results indicate that SVM has the highest accuracy in predicting student transfers, followed by KNN and Naïve Bayes. This study contributes to identifying key factors influencing student transfers and offers schools a robust model to develop targeted strategies for reducing transfer rates. Polymicrobial biofilms make diagnosis and treatment difficult, leading to increased mortality. Biofilm colonization of a combination of Streptococcus pneumoniae and Candida albicans can occur on the mucosal surface of the host's nasopharynx, the upper respiratory tract, which can evade the innate immune response. Some clinical evidence shows that nasopharyngeal infections by biofilm microbes are more difficult to eradicate with antibiotics due to the emergence of resistance. It is necessary to develop research on alternative anti-biofilms from herbal ingredients that are safe and easily available. Cinnamomum burmannii contains the active compound cinnamaldehyde as an anti-biofilm. This study aimed to prove the effect of cinnamon stem extract in inhibiting and degrading the biofilm that forms. Using laboratory experiments. The combination of S. pneumoniae and C. albicans was suspended in tryptic soy broth media in a 96-well microplate for 48 hours at 37 ℃, each divided into three groups (n=15); biofilm control group, inhibition group, and degradation group. OD measurements using Elisa Reader 595 nm with crystal violet dye. The results OD of the control group biofilm (3.88720 ± 0.109306) were significantly different (P<0.000) from the OD of the inhibition group (1.02613 ± 0.174351) and the OD of the control group and the OD of the degradation group (3.92200 ± 0.014243) did not show a significant difference (P>0.428). The conclusion of this study shows that cinnamon stem extract can inhibit the formation of combined biofilms but cannot degrade biofilms that have already been formed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Indonesia Engineers Association has used Microsoft Dynamics Axapta (AX) enterprise resource planning (ERP) software as its operational support system. However, there are obstacles that are obstacles to completing business processes effectively by users, which have an impact on declining work performance and not achieving company targets. In addition, for the next 3 years, IT solutions are also needed to be able to support business development in the company. The implementation of Enterprise Architecture is expected to be the answer for the Indonesia Engineers Association in the next 3 years, so that the company can be more productive and develop as well as there is alignment between the business strategies owned by the company to optimize the use of information systems and information technology owned by the Indonesia Engineers Association. The basis for choosing using the TOGAF ADM method in designing Enterprise Architecture is that TOGAF ADM has a complete methodology, clear and structured stages, so that the design and specifications become easier and reduce the implementation risks faced by the Indonesia Engineers Association. This research is expected to provide insights for policymakers and enterprise architecture practitioners in selecting and implementing the framework that best suits the context and needs of their organizations. This study aims to analyze stunting in children in Tangerang Regency using clustering methods such as k-means, Hierarchical Clustering with Agglomerative Nesting, and Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN). Stunting is a significant health issue affecting child growth due to chronic malnutrition and recurrent infections. The research revealed that k-means produced the best clustering results with a Silhouette Score of 0.52, indicating its effectiveness in categorizing children based on age, nutritional status, and stunting risk. The k-means method identified three clusters: Cluster 0 (ages 46-55 months, good nutrition, no stunting), Cluster 1 (ages 9-18 months, varied nutritional status, high stunting risk), and Cluster 2 (ages 27-36 months, good nutrition, no stunting). The study suggests preventive actions such as balanced nutrition education, regular health monitoring, complete immunizations, and physical activity, alongside curative measures like nutritional consultations and supplements. The findings provide a framework for targeted preventive and curative interventions, enabling Tangerang Regency's health department to effectively address and reduce stunting rates. The Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) is a government administration that utilizes information and communication technology to provide services to SPBE Users as stipulated in Presidential Regulation No. 95 of 2018. SPBE aims to create an integrated government business process between Central Agencies and Regional Governments, form a complete government unit and produce bureaucracy and high-performance public services. To support the implementation of SPBE, the National SPBE architecture is compiled as a detailed guide that covers technical and methodological aspects, ensuring the integration of government electronic systems. This architecture provides convenience in increasing efficiency and effectiveness, as well as being a guide for SPBE governance in Central Agencies and Regional Governments. The XYZ Regency Government has implemented the SPBE architecture as the basis for implementation in its area. This study analyzes the SPBE architecture in XYZ Regency based on the National SPBE architecture to provide optimization recommendations on the application architecture domain. Despite the existence of Presidential Regulation Number 95 of 2018 and Number 132 of 2022, the preparation of government architecture in Indonesia still faces challenges due to the lack of clear guidance. More detailed references are needed as derivatives of existing regulations to ensure consistent and optimal implementation, help agencies understand and implement the SPBE architecture, so that digital transformation towards Indonesia 4.0 is achieved by 2040. Dynamic global competencies in the industrial sector drive fierce competition in capturing markets and increasing customer satisfaction, which requires efficiency in various aspects of business including distribution. PT. Agro Apiari Mandiri faces challenges in optimizing delivery routes to avoid delays. This study aims to compare the Dijkstra and Hybrid-PSO algorithms to determine the optimal distribution route in the Bogor, West Java, and Lebak, Banten regions, in order to reduce the distance and delivery time. The research methods include literature study, data collection, and route optimization model creation. The results show that PSO is more efficient in optimizing delivery routes than other methods, with variations in PSO parameters affecting total travel time, number of vehicles, and computing time. Implementation uses hardware and software such as MSI Laptops and Matlab. In conclusion, the use of PSO in distribution route optimization makes a significant contribution to the company's cost and distribution efficiency and can be a reference for further research in distribution route optimization. This research focuses on the implementation of the School Activity Plan and Budget Application Information System (ARKAS) at the Palu Safety Center Christian Vocational School to increase efficiency and effectiveness in planning and managing school activities and budgets. However, the implementation of ARKAS is inseparable from various risks that can affect the effectiveness and success of the system. Therefore, risk management analysis is essential to ensure that all potential risks can be identified, analyzed, and minimized. This study uses the COBIT 2019 framework to manage risks in the application of information technology in schools. The study identifies challenges such as resistance to change, resource limitations, and information security risks. This study aims to explore how the implementation of ARKAS in the Palu Safety Army Christian Vocational School can be optimized through risk management analysis using the COBIT 2019 framework. The results of the study show that the use of COBIT 2019 can help in identifying and managing risks effectively, so that the implementation of ARKAS can run more efficiently and transparently. The resulting recommendations are expected to improve the quality of school budget management and become a reference for other schools that face similar challenges in the application of information technology. This research intends to analyze the level of capability of information technology (IT) in academic services at SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta using the COBIT 2019 framework. The background of this research is the important role of information technology in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the learning process in educational institutions. COBIT 2019 was chosen as a framework because it is a best practice in IT governance that can help institutions achieve their strategic goals. This research focuses on the IT governance process implemented at SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta, the maturity level of existing information system governance, and recommendations for improving IT governance. The case study method is used with limitations on the domain within Align, Place and Organize (APO) 09 dan Deliver, Service and Support (DSS) 01 the COBIT 2019 framework. Research findings show that IT governance at SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta is at a certain level of capability that needs to be improved. This research provides recommendations for improving academic services through improving IT governance. It is hoped that the results of this research can become a reference in determining IT policies at SMP Negeri 102 Jakarta and contribute to the development of knowledge in the field of information technology governance. The rapid advancement of information technology has become a critical factor in supporting business processes, especially for startups operating 24/7. These businesses rely heavily on robust IT systems to ensure service availability. IT service assessment plays a vital role in evaluating and improving the quality of IT services within organizations. This study evaluates IT service management at PT Loyal.id using the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) V3 framework, focusing on service management and service delivery. By implementing ITIL, the organization can enhance incident management, problem management, and service desk performance. The study uses a self-assessment tool in the form of a website for evaluation. The assessment revealed that IT services at PT Loyal.id are still inadequate, with service desk and incident management reaching only level 1.5, and problem management reaching level 2. The results indicate that the organization's IT services require significant improvements to meet ITIL standards and enhance service quality, ultimately aligning IT operations with business objectives.
