However, the mechanism of BC tumorigenesis remains elaborate elucidation. With the aid of RNA sequencing technology, we discovered that immortalization-upregulated protein (IMUP) is overexpressed in BC tissues compared to normal breast tissues. Our study is to understand the role of IMUP in BC.Methods: We validated the upregulation of IMUP from multiple public databases. By using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR), we proved that IMUP is overexpressed in BC tissues and cell lines. We performed proliferation, migration, invasion and apoptosis assays to explore the function of IMUP in BC cell lines (MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231). Besides, we investigated the effect of IMUP silencing on epithelial–mesenchymal transition using Western blotting and qRT-PCR.Results and Discussion: We validated that IMUP expression in BC tissues and cell lines is higher than that in the normal control group. The clinical analysis showed that IMUP is associated with lymph node metastasis and the outcome of neoadjuvant taxol-based therapy. The loss of function assay demonstrated that, with silencing IMUP, the capacities of proliferation, migration, and invasion of BC cell lines were impaired, while the apoptosis rate of cells increased. Meanwhile, the downregulation of IMUP could hinder the procession of epithelial–mesenchymal transition.Conclusion: Our study proved that IMUP plays a vital role in BC and acts as a potential target and marker in future therapy.Keywords: immortalization-upregulated protein, IMUP, breast cancer, BC, progression, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, EMT

This paper presents an innovative method to optimize the excess carrier distribution in 3.3kV fast recovery diodes (FRDs). The idea is to develop a structure that can effectively optimize the anode emission efficiency. Based on TCAD simulation, two new structures, namely, local emitter control (LEC) diode, local emitter control and local lifetime control (LELC) diode, have been developed with improved trade-off characteristics between reverse recovery current peak and forward voltage drop compared with conventional diodes. The LEC diodes demonstrate the improved trade-off characteristics through introducing a wavy-type P-body that produces a low minority carrier density at P-body/N-sub side and a high minority carrier density at N-sub/N+ side. Through introducing an addition local lifetime control layer in combination with a wavy-type p-body, the LELC diode has demonstrated the best balanced properties of the forward voltage drop(V F ), the reverse recovery current peak(I rr ), and the softness without at the expense of increasing leakage current. The forward voltage drop of LEC diode and LELC diode are respectively decreased by 23% and 35% compared with conventional diodes. The surge current of LELC diode is 2 times larger than that of conventional and LEC ones.

To maintain energy balance and voltage stability is the basic function for normal operation of DC grid. Analysis and comparison of several commonly used multi-point voltage control methods, a cooperative control strategy is proposed based on improved particle swarm optimization, considering economic performance and voltage quality in both. The method established on traditional multi-point voltage control, using fuzzy membership curve to transformed power loss and voltage deviation into a single optimization objective, then search the optimal stable operating point of grid by PSO algorithm with inertia weight. Finally, a six terminal dendriform DC grid system is simulated to contrast the proposed method to voltage droop control. Results verify the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed algorithm.

IGBT chips are basic structure of power electronic devices in the power grid system. The IGBT module with high current capability needs multi chips parallel connection. Because there are different performance parameters of the IGBT chips in the Wafer, it is necessary to select the parameters of the IGBT chips for the IGBT modules to make the performance parameters of chips as consistent as possible. However, it is unknown that what the influence of performance parameter differences between IGBT chips on the overall performance of the module such as IGBT modules' switch-off and RBSOA characteristics is. In addition, switching state of each single IGBT chip is not monitored when the whole module is on working state. This paper is trying to demonstrate a method to research the multi parallel chips on the performance of different parameters effects of each single IGBT chip switch-off Process, which is based on the T-CAD software tool.

The state space equation was established on the basis of the simplified model of the six terminal DC grid to solve the problem of transient voltage stability of DC grid. It used the state feedback method to design a feedback controller suitable for system level control and made a simulation through the physical model, verifying the effectiveness of the state feedback controller, improving the dynamic performance of transient voltage of DC grid with the help of the controller.

When the master-slave strategy is employed for the DC bus voltage control of a DC micro-grid, the voltage is determined by the constant DC voltage control converter. The DC voltage will be unstable when the active power is unbalance or the constant DC voltage control terminal is tripped off against faults. At this scenario, the DC voltage must be controlled through the coordinating control of the system supervisor layer through communication. In this paper, a novel method using the voltage coordinating control through the voltage margins is presented. By carefully selection of the margins according to the system strength and converter type, the DC bus voltage of a VSC DC micro-grid can be controlled steadily after a variety of faults. The author designed a 4-terminal low-voltage VSC DC micro-grid prototype system and developed a simulation model for the system. The effectiveness of the control strategy for the 4-terminal DC micro-grid is illustrated through simulations using PSCAD/EMTDC.

The paper mainly described the upgrade study of High Power Electronics Laboratory (HPEL) in China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI), which will meet all the test requirements of plusmn 800 kV UHVDC valves. Based on the valves electrical parameters of plusmn 800 kV UHVDC demonstration project in China, the paper studied the UHVDC valve type test technology, gave the valve test parameters, the main equipments topologies, rated parameters and the basic waveshapes of the UHVDC valve insulation and operational tests.
