Generating high-resolution land cover maps using relatively lower-resolution remote sensing images is of great importance for subtle analysis. However, the domain gap between real lower-resolution and synthetic images has not been permanently resolved. Furthermore, super-resolution information is not fully exploited in semantic segmentation models. By solving the aforementioned issues, a deeply fused super resolution guided semantic segmentation network using 30 m Landsat images is proposed. A large-scale dataset comprising 10 m Sentinel-2, 30 m Landsat-8 images, and 10 m European Space Agency (ESA) Land Cover Product is introduced, facilitating model training and evaluation across diverse real-world scenarios. The proposed Deeply Fused Super Resolution Guided Semantic Segmentation Network (DFSRSSN) combines a Super Resolution Module (SRResNet) and a Semantic Segmentation Module (CRFFNet). SRResNet enhances spatial resolution, while CRFFNet leverages super-resolution information for finer-grained land cover classification. Experimental results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method in five different testing datasets, achieving 68.17–83.29% and 39.55–75.92% for overall accuracy and kappa, respectively. When compared to ResUnet with up-sampling block, increases of 2.16–34.27% and 8.32–43.97% were observed for overall accuracy and kappa, respectively. Moreover, we proposed a relative drop rate of accuracy metrics to evaluate the transferability. The model exhibits improved spatial transferability, demonstrating its effectiveness in generating accurate land cover maps for different cities. Multi-temporal analysis reveals the potential of the proposed method for studying land cover and land use changes over time. In addition, a comparison of the state-of-the-art full semantic segmentation models indicates that spatial details are fully exploited and presented in semantic segmentation results by the proposed method. While numerous approaches have been devised to optimize the luminescence properties of Eu2+-activated phosphors, the quest for a simple design strategy to achieve color-tunable Eu2+ emission remains a significant challenge. Here, we present a straightforward, doping-free method to tailor the site occupation of Eu2+ and modify its luminescence properties. In the pristine sample, the NaBaB9O15 (NBB) host featuring two cation sites (Na+ and Ba2+), Eu2+ exclusively occupies the Ba2+ site, resulting in blue emission when the NBB:Eu2+ phosphor is synthesized in a H2 reducing atmosphere. When we use CO instead of a H2 reducing atmosphere, impressively, the formation energy required for heterovalent substitution of Na+ by Eu2+ is lowered, leading to the emergence of a distinct green emission band. Significantly, the resultant phosphor NBB:Eu2+@CO exhibits not only a high internal quantum yield of 85.1% and zero-thermal-quenching behavior within the temperature range of 25–200 °C but also wavelength-tunable emission. Benefitting from the multi-color luminescence of the NBB:Eu2+@CO phosphor, its optical applications will no longer be confined to general lighting but extend to anti-counterfeiting and encryption. Research into red phosphors with a high color rendering index is particularly compelling, given the absence of a red component in the spectrum of commercial pc-WLEDs, which combine blue LED chips with yellow-emitting YAG:Ce3+ phosphors. Herein, we reported a novel Eu3+ activated Ca3Zn3Te2O12 red-emitting phosphor, synthesized using a conventional high-temperature solid-phase method. The phase and crystal structures were analyzed by powder X-ray diffraction and Rietveld refinement. The optimal excitation peak of the Ca3Zn3Te2O12:Eu3+ phosphor was located at 395 nm, matching those of conventional commercial near-ultraviolet chips. In addition, the Ca3Zn3Te2O12:9%Eu3+ phosphor exhibited good thermal stability, with an activation energy of 0.267 eV, and the CIE color coordinates hardly changed with temperature. Ultimatel, a high-quality white LED device was fabricated by combining Ca3Zn3Te2O12:9%Eu3+ red phosphor, a commercial BaMgAl10O17:Eu2+ blue phosphor, and(Ba,Sr)2SiO4:Eu2+ green phosphor with a 395 nm near-UV chip. Despite a substantial increase in the input current from 20 to 320 mA, the white-LED maintained a stable color rendering index of around 80, highlighting its consistent performance. These results indicated that Eu3+ activated Ca3Zn3Te2O12 phosphors are promising red emission candidates for white LEDs pumped by near ultraviolet chips. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The discovery of phosphors with highly efficient broadband near-infrared emission is urgent for constructing NIR sources for various applications. Herein, we synthesized a series of near-infrared emitting garnet-type (A3B2C3O12) Lu2−xCaAl3.99Cr0.01SiO12:xGd/La and Lu2CaAl3.99−yCr0.01SiO12:ySc/Ga phosphors and systematically investigated the effect of A/B-site substitution on the crystal structure and luminescence properties. Structural and optical analyses revealed that the A/B-site substitution weakened the crystal field strength, further enhancing the broadband emission of the allowed 4T2 → 4A2transition and diminishing the narrow-peak emission of the forbidden 2E → 4A2 transition. As expected, NIR phosphors, exemplified by Lu1.7CaAl3.99Cr0.01SiO12:0.3Gd and Lu2CaAl3.49Cr0.01SiO12:0.5Sc, showed outstanding thermal stabilities at 423 K (150 °C) registering values of 103.02% and 94.91%, with high quantum efficiencies of 80.48% and 85.01%, respectively. In addition, pc-LEDs with broadband NIR output and good optoelectronic properties have been realized, demonstrating the great potential of broadband NIR pc-LEDs for applications. This work not only provides a series of high-efficiency phosphors for NIR pc-LED applications, but also provides a systematic idea and an efficient method to improve the luminescence performance of garnet-type phosphors.
