In the era of big data, the furniture manufacturing industry takes digitization and intelligence as its core, and its servitization degree is constantly improving. In this paper, based on input-output table data from major manufacturing countries throughout the world in the period 2000–2014, this study empirically analyzes the impact of servitization on the industrial performance and productivity of the furniture manufacturing industry and finds that servitization level of the global furniture industry is about 20%, showing small growth in the sample period. Developed countries are in the leading position in the process of servitization strategy, and the servitization level among countries is gradually converging. Furniture manufacturing industry does not show a servitization dilemma, and servitization has a positive impact on industry performance and total factor productivity.

The acceleration of global urbanization has brought the issue of environmental degradation to the forefront. To effectively curtail these issues, cities worldwide are promoting afforestation; however, only a few studies have investigated levels of satisfaction from the perspective of residents, who are the main beneficiaries of these afforestation projects. In this study, we used the Ologit model in conjunction with 1158 survey samples from Beijing to empirically analyze the level of resident satisfaction with the Plain Afforestation Project (PAP). Results showed that (i) landscaping after afforestation, (ii) ecological aspects, and (iii) availability of recreational space significantly improved the overall resident satisfaction with the PAP. Additionally, older people are more likely to be satisfied with the PAP compared to younger residents, and male residents are more likely to be satisfied with the PAP than female residents. Residents with higher education and income levels were less satisfied with the PAP. These results provide a reference for decision-makers to optimize the PAP.

ReS2 nanosheets have been grown on n-type Si substrate as photoanode for OER. By introducing pyramid Si and NiCo-LDH co-catalyst, the photocurrent of NiCo-LDH/ReS2/n-PSi was boosted from 0,31 mA cm−2 of ReS2/n-Si to 1.74 mA cm−2.

This study proposes a novel approach to effectively solve the problems associated with reusing waste tires by injecting waste tire powder into the converter vaporization cooling flue (CVCF) to obtain gaseous fuels via CO2 gasification using high-temperature waste heat. The gasification behavior was investigated in a CO2 atmosphere using a thermogravimetry (TG)-mass spectrometry (MS) (TG-MS) system. A settling furnace was used to simulate CVCF to investigate the effects of gasification temperatures. The activation energy (E) was calculated using the Flynn-Wall-Ozaw (FWO) and Kissinger-Akahira- Sunose (KAS) methods. The main components in the gas phase were typically CO, CH4, H2, H2O, and C2H6 in a temperature range of 300°C–500 °C. The average activation energy of waste tire decomposition was 144.51 kJ/mol. The increase in temperature and decrease in particle size increased the amount of combustible gas and LHV value. The increase in the CO2/CO ratio decreased the content of residual coke from 12.62% to 11.98%. The lower heating values were determined to range between 8.75 and 10.27 MJ/Nm3. The research preliminarily confirmed the feasibility of injecting waste tire powders into the CVCF to generate gaseous fuels using waste heat via CO2 gasification.

The existing reflector not requiring solar tracking used in solar flat-plate collector is mainly plate-type structure. This kind of structure is simple, but it is not the optimal one. To solve this problem, the new polyline-type and parabolic-type reflectors not requiring solar tracking were proposed for solar flat-plate collectors in this paper. A comparative study of the two types of reflectors and the existing plate-type reflectors under no sun-tracking conditions was carried out by theoretical and experimental methods. The reflected light losses under the off-design conditions were analyzed. The transient and annual operation characteristics were discussed. The results showed that under the design conditions the ranking of boost factor is parabolic-type, polyline-type and plate-type. But the reflection losses under the off-design conditions are just the opposite. Under the same reflective area with the collectors, when the reflection losses are considered, the increases of solar radiation on the collectors are 40.3%, 27.7% and 19.8% for the polyline, parabolic and flat-plate reflectors respectively in the heating season. In the coldest three months, the polyline-type always has the largest solar radiation. This paper is helpful to improve the efficiency and economy of solar space heating in cold areas.

Anionic metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are beginning to have a great impact in the field of absorption and separation of ionic organic molecules due to the enhanced electrostatic interactions between their anionic frameworks and counter-ionic guests. Herein, the rational design and synthesis of two mesoporous anionic MOFs, [Zn3(ITTC)3](Me2 NH2)3·3DMF·H2O (1) and [Cd2(ITTC)3](Me2NH2)5·2DMF (2), where H3ITTC = 4,4′,4′′-(1H-imidazole-2,4,5-triyl) tribenzoic acid, is reported. Structural analysis revealed that both materials are anionic MOFs with a 2-fold interpenetrating three dimensional (3D) framework. The cross sectional area of the open one-dimensional rectangular channels is 31.7 A × 15.6 A for 1, of which the architecture is indicative of an unprecedented (3,3,4,5)-connection topology. For 2, the diameter of the open one-dimensional regular hexagonal channel is about 34.1 A, decorated with uncoordinated carboxyl O atoms, and the framework exhibits a (3,4)-connected fcu network. Due to their anionic frameworks and bulky pore window sizes, both MOFs can be employed for absorbing and separating the cationic organic dye methylene blue (MB). The results reveal that both MOFs have better dye adsorption selectivity for MB, than for MO and SDI, because of charge and size-matching effects, enabling them to be potential candidates for use in environmental cleaning. By comparison, 2 presents superior selectivity and adsorptivity for cationic MB which depends on the presence of a basic functionalized pore surface.

This paper uses Python programming to improve the existing price index method and calculate the integration level of the forest products market in China. Based on the model, the influencing factors of domestic forest product market integration were examined empirically. The results show that the integration degree of the forest product market in recent years lags behind the average level in China. In this paper, the improvement of the existing price index method can calculate the level of market integration more quickly and accurately, and this improvement has obvious advantages in the case of a large amount of data. In terms of development, the overall pattern shows an increasing trend, and the eastern, central, and western provinces are gradually converging, although the differences between provinces continue to expand. In terms of influencing factors, the coefficient of the local government’s emphasis on forestry, the prosperity of international trade in forest products, and highway density were significantly positive factors, while the number of foreign investors and the railway density had no significant effects. In this paper, the optimization of the measurement method of market integration makes it easier for scholars to obtain the data on the level of market integration and promote in-depth research in the field of market integration.

With the rapid growth of foreign direct investment (FDI), PM2.5 pollution in Chinese cities is increasing. Based on panel data for 271 Chinese cities from 2003 to 2016, this paper uses the dynamic spatial fixed-effects Durbin model to analyze the correlation between FDI and PM2.5 pollution and the effect of FDI on urban PM2.5 concentrations, as mediated by industrial structure transformation, which is clarified using Stata/SE 16.0. The results showed that PM2.5 pollution in China has significant spatial spillover effects, and the pollution haven hypothesis is applicable to Chinese cities. The industrial structure partially mediates the relationship between FDI and PM2.5. This paper proposes that local governments should promote the market-oriented reform of FDI to create a more convenient, legalized, and international environment for FDI and innovate the governance philosophy of only reducing the existing emissions. A top-level design and sound market supervision system of PM2.5 control are also needed.

A new luminescent EuIII complex, namely [Eu2(BTFA)4(OMe)2(dpq)2] (1), in which BTFA = 3-benzoyl-1,1,1-trifluoroacetone and dpq = dipyrido [3,2-d:2′,3′-f] quinoxaline, has been designed and synthesized by employing two different ligands as sensitizers. Crystal structure analysis reveals that complex 1 is composed of dinuclear EuIII units crystallized in the monoclinic P space group. Notably, 1 exhibits high thermal stability up to 270 °C and excellent water stability. The photoluminescence property of the complex is investigated. Further studies show 1 can recognize Fe3+ ions with high selectivity from mixed metal ions in aqueous solution through the luminescence quenching phenomenon. Furthermore, the recyclability and stability of 1 after sensing experiments are observed to be adequate. By virtue of the superior stability, detection efficiency, applicability and reusability, the as-prepared EuIII complex can be a promising fluorescent material for practical sensing.

Two mononuclear azido–cobalt(II) complexes, with the formulas [Co(3,3-Hbpt)2(N3)2(H2O)2] (1) and [Co(abpt)2(N3)2]·H2O (2) (3,3-Hbpt = 1H-3,5-bis(3-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole; abpt = 4-amino-3,5-bis(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole), have been prepared by altering the pyridyl-triazole coligands. In both complexes, the Co(II) centers feature hexa-coordinated environments with distorted octahedra in which the axial sites are identical, whereas the equatorial environments are finely modulated by the distinct chemical nature of the different coligands. It is worth noting that the distinct intermetallic distances in the two complexes (10.302 A for 1 and 6.576 A for 2) unambiguously cause a disparity in intermolecular interactions, implying their dissimilar magnetic behaviours. As a result, alternating current dynamic susceptibility measurements show that only 2 exhibits field-induced slow relaxation of magnetization with an effective energy barrier of 11.29 K, though large easy-axis magnetic anisotropies for both complexes are unveiled by combined analyses of the magnetic data and ab initio calculations.

The Gamma-Ray Integrated Detectors (GRID) is a space mission concept dedicated to monitoring the transient gamma-ray sky in the energy range from 10 keV to 2 MeV using scintillation detectors onboard CubeSats in low Earth orbits. The primary targets of GRID are the gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) in the local universe. The scientific goal of GRID is, in synergy with ground-based gravitational wave (GW) detectors such as LIGO and VIRGO, to accumulate a sample of GRBs associated with the merger of two compact stars and study jets and related physics of those objects. It also involves observing and studying other gamma-ray transients such as long GRBs, soft gamma-ray repeaters, terrestrial gamma-ray flashes, and solar flares. With multiple CubeSats in various orbits, GRID is unaffected by the Earth occultation and serves as a full-time and all-sky monitor. Assuming a horizon of 200 Mpc for ground-based GW detectors, we expect to see a few associated GW-GRB events per year. With about 10 CubeSats in operation, GRID is capable of localizing a faint GRB like 170817A with a 90% error radius of about 10 degrees, through triangulation and flux modulation. GRID is proposed and developed by students, with considerable contribution from undergraduate students, and will remain operated as a student project in the future. The current GRID collaboration involves more than 20 institutes and keeps growing. On August 29th, the first GRID detector onboard a CubeSat was launched into a Sun-synchronous orbit and is currently under test., accepted for publication in Experimental Astronomy

Energetic metal-organic frameworks (EMOFs) are very promising as heat-resistant explosives, affording both thermal stability and energy properties. In this work, the self-assembly of high-energy nitrogen-rich linkers with nontoxic alkali-metal lithium/sodium leads to four new solvent-free EMOFs. Because of unparalleled decomposition temperature (Tdec = 403 °C) and heats of detonation (3.475 kcal·g-1), a 3D Li(I)-EMOF can be considered to be a superheat-resistant explosive candidate.

In this research, we choose the coastal cities in the Yangtze River Delta as the subjects of study, including Shanghai, Lianyungang, Yancheng, Nantong, Jiaxing, Ningbo, Zhoushan, Taizhou, and Wenzhou, nine cities in total. With marine ecological products as the starting point and the supply efficiency of marine ecological products in each city as the subjects of research, and after collecting a quantity of data and by constructing the efficiency analyzing modes, we analyze the supply efficiency of those cities with the involved supplying service, cultural service, and value of regulating service as the output, and the operation of related authorities as the input of marine ecological products. Meanwhile, combining with the outside factors affecting the supply efficiency, we explore and identify the existing problems of marine ecology products in this region, such as the unreasonable supply structure, regional development imbalance, marine environment quality degrading, etc., and present the corresponding solutions and rationalization proposal for the existing problems, thus providing a new thought for promoting the development of the Yangtze River Delta, especially for marine activities.

In the new era, the development level of marine industry in Zhejiang province has been improved rapidly, and a series of marine development concepts and requirements have been implemented one after another, which plays an important role in improving the current situation of marine environment. With the deepening of marine development, the current situation of marine environment in the new era has become complex and diverse. How to make the relevant concepts and requirements of marine development to cope with and adapt to various new problems in the development process has become the key to promote the continuous improvement of marine development level.

Southwest China is a fragile terrestrial ecosystem restricted by its geological background, which leads to a contradiction between its industrial economic development and the ecological environment. In this study, to explore the influence and mechanisms of the three industrial agglomeration modes, namely, specialization, related diversification, and unrelated diversification, on the eco-efficiency of the region, linear and nonlinear regression models were applied to the data of five Southwest provinces from 2006 to 2018. Specialization agglomeration had a significant negative impact on the eco-efficiency of four provinces outside Tibet in Southwest China. With the decrease of industrial specialization, their eco-efficiency improved. The effects of related diversification agglomeration on the ecological efficiency of four provinces outside Tibet in Southwest China showed a &ldquo, U&rdquo, curve. The degree of industrial diversification in these provinces exceeded the critical value of 1.46, and the effect on eco-efficiency was shown. The unrelated diversification agglomeration had a negative effect on the ecological efficiency of the four provinces outside Tibet in Southwest China. The degree of industrial-unrelated diversification in Guizhou Province increased slightly, which was not conducive to the improvement of local eco-efficiency. Additionally, it decreased significantly in other provinces, which caused the improvement of local eco-efficiency. The conclusion provides a theoretical basis for industrial green transformation path selection and related policy formulation in Southwest China.

The contradiction between industrial economic development and the ecological environment in Northwest China is prominent, so the green transformation of industrial economy in this region is imperative. From the perspective of industrial ecology, this study uses economic and environmental statistics from Northwest China from 2006 to 2018 as well as the Krugman specialization index and entropy index methods to calculate the degree of different types of industrial agglomeration in Northwest China. The eco-efficiency of Northwest China is calculated by the global SBM-DDF model. On this basis, the stochastic effect panel tobit regression model is used to analyze the influence and mechanism of different types of industrial agglomeration on eco-efficiency in Northwest China. The results show that the concentration of specialization has a significantly negative effect on the eco-efficiency of Northwest China at the level of 1%. Excepting Ningxia, the eco-efficiency of other provinces has been improved with the decrease of industrial specialization. The influence of the related diversification agglomeration on the eco-efficiency in Northwest China shows a U curve. The degree of industrial correlation diversification in Qinghai and Ningxia is less than the critical value 1.45, whereas Shaanxi, Gansu, and Xinjiang have crossed the inflection point. The unrelated diversification agglomeration has a negative effect on the eco-efficiency of Northwest China at the level of 1%, and the degree of industrial independent diversification in Shaanxi Province has decreased slightly, which is beneficial to the improvement of eco-efficiency. By contrast, other provinces have increased considerably. The conclusion can provide a theoretical basis for industrial green transformation path selection and related policy formulation in Northwest China.

This study proposes a new technology in which waste tire powders are injected into a converter vaporization cooling flue for gas recovery via pyrolysis using high-temperature waste heat. The higher temperature pyrolysis behavior of waste tire powder under different heating rates was investigated using a TG-MS technique. A drop tube furnace was used to simulate the converter vaporization cooling flue to investigate the effect of high temperatures on waste tire powder pyrolysis. The results indicated that secondary pyrolysis occurred above 900 °C with low weight and weight loss rates, which were considerably lower than those observed in the thermal degradation stage. The main gaseous products formed were CO, CO2, H2, CH4, and H2O. The drop tube furnace experimental results indicated that high temperatures can facilitate the degradation of waste tire powder to generate more H2 and CO and improve the low heating values. At 1200 °C, the H2 and CO contents were approximately 19.60% and 4.90%, respectively. The low heating value was 29.64 MJ/Nm3. The char yield was in the range of 32.67%–37.33%; the fixed carbon content increased from 79.63% to 84.75%. The results provide preliminary verification of the feasibility of injecting waste tire powders into a converter vaporization cooling flue for gas recovery.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the causes of infected mastoid cavity after mastoidectomy and explore the key techniques of revision mastoidectomy. METHODS: Ninety-two patients, who underwent revision mastoidectomy due to mastoid cavity infection after mastoidectomy were retrospectively analyzed. There were 56 cases of canal wall up mastoidectomy plus tympanoplasty and 36 cases of canal wall down mastoidectomy plus tympanoplasty in previous surgery. The interval between the previous operation and this revision ranged from 7 months to 50 years, with a median of 9 years. By reviewing the general clinical data, preoperative HRCT scan of temporal bone and intraoperative findings, the defects of the previous operation and the region of the lesion were analyzed and counted. RESULTS: Out of the 92 cases, 7 cases(7.6%) had sigmoid sinus antedisplacement and low-lying middle cranial fossa, and 45 cases(48.9%) with facial nerve canal loss. Among the 36 patients who underwent canal wall down mastoidectomy and tympanoplasty, mastoid cells were removed in completely; 26 patients had high facial ridge, accounting for 72.2%(26/36). The defects of the previous operation included: stenosis of external auditory meatus(65/92, 70.7%), obstruction of Eustachian tube(11/92, 12.0%), and tympanitis(2/92, 2.2%). Residual or recurrent lesions were most common in mastoid process and tympanic sinus(50/92, 54.3%), followed by attic cell and anterior cavity(44/92, 47.8%), posterior tympanic cavity(29/92, 31.5%), perilabyrinthine cells(13/92, 14.1%), sinus meningeal angle(13/92, 14.1%), cells behind the facial nerve(12/92, 13.0%), Eustachian tube(10/92, 10.9%), and hypotympanum(9/92, 9.8%). CONCLUSION: The main causes of mastoid cavity infecion after mastoidectomy include incomplete removal of the lesion and inadequate drainage conditions. The key techniques of revisional mastoidectomy include disc-shaped operative cavity, skeletonization of mastoid process, reduction of facial nerve ridge, management of Eustachian tube and conchaplasty. The above techniques are also key in the first operation in order to improve the success rate of operation and avoid revision operation.

A Co(II)-containing complex of formula [Co2(3-fba)4(4,4′-bpy)3(CH3OH)2] (1), has been prepared and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray crystallography (3-Hfba = 3-fluorobenzoic acid, 4,4′-bpy = 4,4′-bipyridine). The title complex is composed of well-isolated bimetallic moieties where two octahedral high-spin Co(II) ions are spatially separated from each other by bipyridyl bridges. As a result, the complex features field-induced single-ion magnet behavior with the effective energy barrier of 22.8 K.

Three metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), [Zn(pta)(H2O)]n (1) {[Zn(pta)]·H2O}n (2) and {[Cd(pta)]·H2O)}n (3) [H2pta = 2-(4-pyridyl)-terephthalic acid], were isolated by hydrothermal synthesis. Single-crystal X-ray analysis reveals that compound 1 shows a 2D layer-like network, while compounds 2 and 3 feature different 3D frameworks with Schlafli symbols of {4^2.6.8^3} and {4^6.6^4} respectively, in which the deprotonated pta2− ligands are indicative of diverse coordination modes. The thermostability, water stability and luminescent properties of 1–3 were investigated in the solid state at room temperature. It is noteworthy that 3 shows high selectivity for the detection of acetone in different solvents via a fluorescence quenching mechanism. By virtue of its excellent detection efficiency, applicability in water and reusability, compound 3 can be a promising fluorescent material for practical acetone sensing.

Transition metal sulfides (TMS), as promising electroactive materials for asymmetric supercapacitors, have been limited due to their relatively poor conductivity and cycle stability. Here ternary Ni3S2/MnS/CuS composites were assembled in situ on nickel foam (NF) using a hydrothermal method via electrostatic adsorption of Ni+, Mn2+ and Cu2+ ions on a reduced graphene (rGO) nanosheet template. The chemical structure was characterized by various analytic methods. Ni3S2/MnS/CuS has spherical morphology assembled from closely packed nanosheets, while Ni3S2/MnS/CuS@rGO has a three-dimensional porous spherical structure with much lower diameter because rGO nanosheets can play the role of a template to induce the growth of Ni3S2/MnS/CuS. At a current density of 1 A g−1, the specific capacitance was obtained to be 1028 F g−1 for Ni3S2/MnS/CuS, 628.6 F g−1 for Ni3S2/MnS@rGO, and 2042 F g−1 for Ni3S2/MnS/CuS@rGO, respectively. Charge transfer resistance (Rct) of Ni3S2/MnS/CuS@rGO (0.001 Ω) was much lower than that of Ni3S2/MnS@rGO by 0.02 Ω, and lower than that of Ni3S2/MnS/CuS by 0.017 Ω. After 5000 cycles, the Ni3S2–MnS–CuS@RGO electrode maintains 78.3% of the initial capacity at 20 A g−1. An asymmetric supercapacitor was subsequently assembled using Ni3S2/MnS/CuS@rGO as the positive electrode and rGO as the negative electrode. The specific capacitance of asymmetric batteries was maintained at 90.8% of the initial state after 5000 GCD.

Titanium complexes (1–3) of unsymmetric N2O2 ligands (H2L) were prepared. The reaction of H2L with NaH and then with TiCl4 in THF gave a mononuclear complex LTiCl2 (1). In the presence of 0.5 equiv of water in THF, the hydrolysis of complex 1 produced an oxo-bridged dinuclear complex (μ-O)[LTiCl]2 (2). The mononuclear Ti complex LTi(OiPr)2 (3) was prepared by combining H2L with Ti(OiPr)4 in dry toluene. Complexes 1–3 are able to catalyze the living control ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of lactide to afford polylactide (PLA) with a narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn = 1.03–1.19). The kinetic studies show a first-order dependency in monomer. The microstructure analysis of the resultant polymer implies that the complexes possess isotactic selectivity and the isotactic-riched polylactide (Pm = 0.68–0.73) can be produced. The polymerization of l -lactide proceeds at a faster rate than the polymerization of rac-lactide, which is consistent with the isoselectivity in the polymerization.

Developing nanostructure hybrid electrode with multiple electroactive sites offer an encouraging path to build high-performance supercapacitors (SCs). Herein, we report fluorinated graphene (FG) -supported Nickel-Cobalt-Iron nitride nanoparticles on nickel foam (NCF-N@FG/NF), as a hybrid SCs electrode. They were fabricated via one-step nitrogenization treatment in NH3 atmosphere at different temperatures 300–500 °C of the corresponding Ni-Co-Fe-tri-hydroxide/FG precursors. The optimal NCF-N@FG/NF hybrid, with Fe:Co:Ni 3:1:1(denoted as NCF-N@FG/NF-3/500 °C) yielded specific capacitance (capacity) of 2110 F/g (293.1 mAh/g) at 1 A/g, rate capability of 87.2% at 20 A/g, and capacitance retention of 97.6% after 5000 cycles. Asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) device was set up using NCF-N@FG/NF-3/500 °C hybrid as the cathode and activated carbon supported NF (AC@NF) as the anode (denoted as NCF-N@FG/NF-3/500 °C/CKK membrane/AC@NF). The device exhibited a stable potential window of 1.5 V and excellent cycling stability with only 11.5% decrease of capacitance after 10 000 cycles. Also, it achieved an energy density of 56.3 Wh/kg at 0.5 A/g with a power density of 374.6 W/kg. The device retained an energy density of 39.5 Wh/kg at 10 A/g with a power density of 7484.2 W/kg. This work constitutes the first demonstration of using FG supported tri-metallic nitride nanoparticles as high energy Cathode, which could potentially enhance the energy storage performance of ASC devices.

Based on 2-(4-carboxyphenyl)imidazo[4,5-f]-1,10-phenanthroline (HNCP) and 2,5-thiophenedicarboxylate (TDC2−) ligands, three new lanthanide-containing (Sm, Nd, and Pr) compounds, [Sm(NCP)(TDC)] n (1), [Nd(NCP)(TDC)] n ·2n(H2O)0.5 (2), and [Pr(NCP)(TDC)] n ·n(H2O)0.5 (3), have been synthesized using the hydrothermal method and structurally characterized using single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Structural analyses have revealed that compounds 1–3 are 3D isostructural metal-organic frameworks in which the [Ln2(COO)4] dimers can be regarded as 6-connecting nodes, and the TDC2− and NCP− ligands are simplified as connectors to achieve the double interspersed 3D networks with the point symbol {412·63}. Thermogravimetric analysis has illustrated that the rigid architecture contributes to superior thermal stability with a thermal decomposition temperature of more than 400°C for the resulting metal-organic frameworks.

Organizing magnetically discrete 3d transition metal ions, which behave as single-ion magnet (SIM) units, in a coordination network is a promising approach to design novel single-molecule magnets (SMMs). Herein a Co(II)-based compound of formula [Co(3-Hppt)2(adip)(H2O)2]·2H2O (1), has been prepared and structurally analyzed by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The structure of the title compound consists of well-isolated one-dimensional chains of Co(II) ions where the octahedral metal atoms are spatially separated from each other by adipic acid bridges (Co⋯Co = 11.197 A). The resulting compound presents a negative uniaxial anisotropy parameter (D = −33.9 cm−1) by the analysis of the direct current magnetic data, which is further probed by ab initio calculations. Alternating-current magnetic susceptibility experiments on 1 exhibit field-induced double magnetic relaxation processes with an anisotropic energy barrier of 38.8 K resulting from the single-ion anisotropy of the individual Co(II) ions.

Converter high-temperature flue gas (CHFG) is an important energy source, but it contains a low concentration of combustible gas and its use produces significant CO2 emissions. We propose a method for increasing the combustible gas concentration of CHFG, which involves injecting dust-removal coke powder (DRCP) into CHFG and catalyzing their reaction with metal oxide. The presented technology not only converts CO2 into combustible gas CO but also provides a new direction for efficient and clean utilization of DRCP. It is theoretically based on thermodynamic calculations (FactSage 6.1) and thermal analysis experiments, and its feasibility is verified through dropper furnace (DF) and industrial experiments. The phase composition is characterized by scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray analysis, X-ray diffraction, and X-ray fluorescence. The results show that the initial decomposition temperature, the maximum decomposition temperature, and the final decomposition temperature of the DRCP gasification reaction are all reduced after adding metal oxide. The CO, H2, and CH4 contents in the high-temperature flue gas increase, whereas the CO2 content decreases. In addition, the reduction products with the addition of CaO are mainly CaO and a small amount of CaCO3. However, the reduction products when Fe2O3 and FeO are added mainly include Fe and Fe3C. Simultaneously, the addition of metal oxide can increase the gasification reactivity of DRCP. After the DRCP is injected, the combustible gas concentration and recovery time are obviously improved. The feasibility of the proposed technology is systematically verified through a series of experiments. This technology provides an innovative solution for converting industrial waste gas into valuable resources using industrial solid waste.

Nickel Foam as a substrate for morphology controllable synthesis of hierarchical nanocomposites with three-dimensional architecture is gaining substantial rank as effective energy materials for high-performance energy conservation and energy conversion devices. Herein, we report our findings in fabrication of 3D hierarchical, Ni2 +/Mn2 +/Al3 +- layered triple hydroxide @ nitrogen-doped graphene wrapped hybrid on a nickel foam (marked as NMA-L@NG-NF) electrode, via a two-step hydrothermal method: primarily in situ hydrothermal growth of NiMnAl-LTH nanosheets over the surface of nickel foam, followed by secondary hydrothermal wrapping of NG graphene over the surface of NiMnAl-L@NF. The phase purity, structure, morphology and functionalities of the synthesized NMA-L@NG-NF hybrid electrodes were characterized comprehensively by XRD, FT-IR, Raman, XPS, EDS and SEM techniques. The results show that the obtained structure (NMA-L@NG-NF) possessed hierarchical flower-like configuration, which were self-assembled from LTH nanosheets and grafted successfully onto the framework of NF substrate during the hydrothermal process. Moreover, when tested as a binder-free electrode in a half cell three-electrode configuration, the NMA-L@NG-NF hybrid display significantly high specific capacity (452 mAh/g at 5 A/g), the excellent rate capability (75.8% at 20 A/g), the excellent cycling stability (91.4% of its initial capacity was retains at a current density of 10 A/g after 5000 cycles, with ∼ 100% Coulombic efficiency) and very low RCT value (0.34 Ω before and 0.62 Ω after 5000 charge discharge cycle from impedance measurements). It could be anticipated that the synthesized NMA-L@NG-NF hybrid is thus a highly promising electrode by virtue of their outstanding applications in high-performance energy storage and energy conversion devices.

Two new Co(II)-containing coordination polymers, {[Co1.5(2,4′-Hbpt)(btec)0.5(H2btec)0.5(H2O)]·(H2O)}n (1) and [Co2(3,4′-Hbpt)2(btc)(ac)(H2O)]n (2), have been successfully synthesized with different polycarboxylates (H4btec = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetra-carboxylic acid, H3btc = 1,3,5-benzenetri-carboxylic acid, ac = acetic acid) and pyridine-based triazoles (2,4′-Hbpt = 1H-3-(2-pyridyl)-5-(4′-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole, 3,4′-Hbpt = 1H-3-(3-pyridyl)-5-(4′-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole). Compound 1 displays a 3D 2-nodal (4, 6)-connectivity topology network, whereas 2 features a self-interpenetrating 2D layer structure. Magnetic studies demonstrate spin-canting like weak ferromagnet and antiferromagnetism behaviors are observed in 1 and 2, respectively.

Summary Background Blepharoptosis is defined as an abnormally low-lying upper eyelid margin in the primary gaze, causing vertical narrowing of the palpebral fissure. It is difficult to achieve consistently satisfactory results in moderate or severe cases despite many surgical methods being available to correct them. Methods Between January 2001 and December 2014, a retrospective cohort study was conducted using medical records and perioperative photographs of 235 patients. All the patients, having presented with moderate or severe bilateral or unilateral blepharoptosis, underwent blepharoptosis correction with the interdigitated orbicularis oculi–frontalis muscle flap suspension technique and contemporaneous double-eyelid surgery. The results, including complications, were followed up and evaluated. Results The mean age of the patients was 17.4 years (range 3–50 years). The follow-up period ranged from 6 months to 8 years, with a mean follow-up of 13 months. Long-term postoperative complications included undercorrection (3.0%), overcorrection (0.7%) and eyelid fold deformity (4.0%). No ectropion, entropion, fornix conjunctival prolapse or exposure keratitis was noted. Conclusions Blepharoptosis correction with interdigitated orbicularis oculi–frontalis muscle flap suspension is an effective technique for the management of moderate or severe blepharoptosis. The results demonstrated very low complication rates and substantial cosmetic and functional improvement using simple manipulation.

A novel hydroxy-, methoxy-, and phenoxy-bridge “Mitsubishi emblem” tetranuclear aluminum complex (1) is synthesized from an unsymmetric amine-pyridine-bis(phenol) N2O2-ligand (H2L1) and a symmetric amine-tris(phenol) NO3-ligand (H2L2). Two same configuration chiral nitrogen atoms are formed in the tetranuclear Al complex upon coordination of the unsymmetric tertiary amine ligand to central Al. Complex 1 initiates controlled ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of rac-lactide and afford polylactide (PLA) with narrow molecular weight distributions (Mw/Mn = 1.05–1.19). The analysis of 1H NMR spectra of the oligomer indicates that the methoxy group is the initiating group and the ring-opening polymerization of lactide follows a coordination-insertion mechanism. The Homonuclear decoupled 1H NMR spectroscopy suggests the isotactic-rich chains is preferentially formed in PLA. The study on kinetics of the ROP of lactide reveals the homopropagation rate is higher than the cross-propagation rate, which is in agreement with the observed isotactic selectivity in the ROP of rac-lactide. The stereochemistry of the polymerization was also supported by activation parameters. The introduction of unsymmetric ligand H2L1 has an effect on stereoslectivity of polymerization.
