In this paper, we design and implement a deep advertising signage system, called DeepAd, with context-aware advertisement and cyber-physical interaction based on Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. In the DeepAd system, instant sensing and diverse interacting features are integrated with an IoT signage, which can (1) transmit multimedia contents and receive specific messages to/from smartphone users, (2) sense and interact with nearby individuals through image sensors, (3) embed context-aware advertisement information in sound waves, and (4) customize the on-screen 3D doll with an audience's face on demand. Through built-in sensors and smartphone interfaces, DeepAd can interact with nearby audiences via real-time multimedia services on the IoT signage in a click-and-drag manner. In addition, DeepAd investigates data-over-sound techniques to send embedded status-related advertisement via background music/voice. Furthermore, DeepAd explores deep learning based face changing and recognition to provide innovative and customized services to smartphone users. This paper demonstrates our current prototype consisting of the Android App, advertising server, and IoT signage.

This paper designs and implements a smart proactive iBeacon system, called GuidingAll, using smartphones to detect abnormal events, guide mobile users, and find moving targets through Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. The GuidingAll system consists of the smartphone APP, guiding server, fixed iBeacon, and our designed smart iBeacon. The smartphone APP is used for real-time guiding and crowdsourced sensing through fixed iBeacons and nearby smartphones. The guiding server is employed for fastest path planning and moving target localization based on the sensing data reported by participating smartphones. The fixed iBeacons are deployed to provide indoor positioning information to smartphones with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scanning, whereas the smart iBeacon is designed to enable proactive event detection and target BLE broadcasting through integrated sensors and associated iBeacon, respectively. In particular, mobile users with smartphones can form crowdsourced sensing networks in places with fixed iBeacons, and GuidingAll can continuously monitor and cooperatively find a specific moving target equipped with the smart iBeacon. An Android-based prototype with fixed and smart iBeacons is implemented to verify the feasibility and correctness of our GuidingAll system.

To investigate whether Hantavirus (HV) and Orientia tsutsugamushi ( OT) can naturally infect and coexist in their host and role.By field epidemiological study, Leptotrombidium scutellare (3829) was collected and separated from mice(166) in epidemic areas. The cells of mites separated from their host and role were cultured. PCR was used to detect HV-RNA and OT-DNA in the cell culture.In 105 Apodemus agrarius, 3 HV-RNA positive, 2 OT-DNA positive and 2 coinfection with HV and OT were detected;in 41 Brown rattus, 2 HV-RNA positive, 1 OT-DNA positive and 1 co-infection with HV and OT were detected. From 15 mites co-infected with HV and OT, 2 strains of HV pathogen, 2 strains of OT pathogen were separated and 1 HV and OT pathogen in the same mite were separate.The study demonstrates that co-infection of HV and OT did simultaneously exist in wild Leptotrombidium scutellare. This theory has some significance to the epidemic and precaution of HV and OT.
