SHPB simulation of TC4/2024AL/TC4, TC4/TA2/TC4, and TC4/Al3Ti/TC4 laminated composites under different impact velocities of strike bar was carried out by ANSYS/LS-DYNA. Then stress distribution of the laminated composites under impact loading was theoretically analyzed according to the one-dimensional stress wave theory. Influencing factors of stress distribution and energy attenuation were emphatically analyzed, including impact velocities of the strike bar, wave impedance of interlayer, and plastic deformation. The results show that, when the impact velocity is determined, impact resistance is negatively correlated with the impedance of the interlayer. Under certain conditions, impact resistance is negatively correlated with impedance of interlayer, and positively correlated with impact velocity. In addition, the accumulation of plastic deformation could make residual stress distribution along the position coordinate axis shows a trend of gradual increase from both sides to the middle position. NiCo(OH)4-NiO composite electrode materials were prepared using hydrothermal deposition and electrophoretic deposition. NiCo(OH)4 is spherical and flowerlike, composed of nanosheets, and NiO is deposited on the surface of NiCo(OH)4 in the form of nanorods. NiCo(OH)4 has a large specific surface area and can provide more active sites. Synergistic action with NiO deposits on the surface can provide a higher specific capacitance. In order to study the influence of hydrothermal reaction temperature on the properties of NiCo(OH)4, the prepared materials of NiCo(OH)4-NiO, the hydrothermal reaction temperatures of 70 °C, 90 °C, 100 °C, and 110 °C were used for comparison. The results showed that the NiCo(OH)4-NiO-90 specific capacitance of the prepared electrode material at its maximum when the hydrothermal reaction temperature is 90 °C. The specific capacitance of the NiCo(OH)4-NiO-90 reaches 2129 F g−1 at the current density of 1 A g−1 and remains 84% after 1000 charge–discharge cycles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A novel mesoporous urchin‐like Co−Ni−Fe ternary hydroxide (CoNiFe−TH) assembled by a large amount of nanoneedles on nickel foam was successfully prepared through a facile one‐step hydrothermal method. The mesoporous urchin‐like CoNiFe−TH nanoneedle electrode has a high specific capacitance of 1318.52 F g−1 at a current density of 1 A g−1 in a three‐electrode system. Besides, the electrode exhibits an excellent cycling stability with 63.3 % specific capacitance retention and almost 100 % Coulombic efficiency during 1000 cycles of a charge‐discharge process at a current density of 5 A g−1. The excellent electrochemical performance of the electrode is due to the unique mesoporous urchin‐like CoNiFe−TH nanoneedles structures with more active reaction sites and polymetallic synergistic effects, which can facilitate the faradic reaction process to improve the electrochemical performance. The current synthesis method can be used for the preparation of other ternary transition metal hydroxides as electrode materials for supercapacitors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Glycerol is one of the important biomass-derived feedstocks and the high-value utilizations of glycerol have attracted much attentions in recent years. Herein, we report a manganese catalyzed dehydrogenative coupling of glycerol with amines for the synthesis of substituted 2-methylquinoxalines, 2-ethylbenzimidazoles, and α-aminoketones without any external oxidant. The reactivity of metal-hydride complexes can be harnessed by the modification of ancillary ligands. With the aim of improving the hydride-donor ability of the key Mn-H intermediate and reducing steric hindrance, we herein report the rational design of a versatile and efficient NHC-based NNC-pincer Mn catalyst for hydrogenation reactions. This newly developed catalyst exhibited higher activity than the corresponding NNP-pincer Mn catalyst owing to its reduced steric hindrance and enhanced Mn-H σ-bonding orbital energy level through a π-antibonding interaction. Using this highly active NNC-pincer Mn catalyst, a rich array of polar unsaturated compounds (>80 examples) including esters, N-heteroarenes, amides, carbonates, and urea derivatives, were successfully hydrogenated under relatively mild conditions.
