The implementation of High-Speed Rail (HSR) is often expected to enhance urban development in municipalities benefitting from improved accessibility. This paper examines HSR as a driver of urban development and provides insights into the underlying interdependencies of urban planning practices and the impacts on urban development achieved or not yet realised. Our study investigates to what extent and in which ways HSR promotes spatial development in small-scale station areas. Thus, we carried out eight contrasting case studies in Germany. By extending previous research, we focussed on spatial impacts in narrowly defined HSR station areas and especially on their municipal planning governance by analysing the respective binding land-use plans (BLUP). As we will show, impacts are spatially and temporally varied but mainly limited to the immediate station areas, fostering agglomeration effects and new centralities. The case-dependent constraints observed and inherent preconditions witness the need for accompanying municipal planning governance to gain urban development impacts from the HSR-related accessibility improvements. Furthermore, the analyses presented underpin findings for research and practice, e.g. concerning the lack of integration of rail operations and local urban planning and the importance of consciously embedding HSR in local strategic concepts. Also, we use a new methodical approach to assess the possible impacts of HSR. Against the backdrop of further HSR expansion in Germany, anticipated but more strategically coordinated urban planning seems promising to exploit the potential for urban development in the station areas., The paper is published by the European Journal of Spatial Development (EJSD). The need for tissue contact makes photoacoustic imaging not applicable for special medical applications like wound imaging, endoscopy, or laser surgery. An easy, stable, and contact-free sensing technique might thus help to broaden the applications of the medical imaging modality. In this work, it is demonstrated for the first time that remote photoacoustic sensing by speckle analysis can be performed in the MHz sampling range by tracking a single speckle using a four quadrant photo-detector. A single speckle, which is created by self-interference of surface back-reflection, is temporally analyzed using this photo-detector. Phantoms and skin samples are measured in transmission and reflection mode. The potential for miniaturization for endoscopic application is demonstrated by fiber bundle measurements. In addition, sensing parameters are discussed. Photoacoustic sensing in the MHz sampling range by single speckle analysis with the four quadrant detector is successfully demonstrated. Furthermore, the endoscopic applicability is proven, and the sensing parameters are convenient for photoacoustic sensing. It can be concluded that a single speckle contains all the relevant information for remote photoacoustic signal detection. Single speckle sensing is therefore an easy, robust, contact-free photoacoustic detection technique and holds the potential for economical, ultra-fast photoacoustic sensing. The new detection technique might thus help to broaden the field of photoacoustic imaging applications in the future.

Die Temperatur ist in den letzten Jahren stark angestiegen. Dieser Trend wird sich auch in den nächsten Jahren fortsetzen. Besonders in dicht verbauten Städten sind die Auswirkungen stark zu spüren. So wird sich die Anzahl der Tropennächte in den Sommermonaten wird sich weiter erhöhen. Infolgedessen wirkt sich die dadurch fehlende Erholung nicht nur auf die Psyche, sondern auch auf die Gesundheit der Menschen aus. Nicht nur in den Nächten ist die Temperatur höher, sondern auch im Laufe des Tages. Dabei spricht man von einem Hitzeinseleffekt. Eine Möglichkeit dieser Hitze entgegenzuwirken sind Pflanzen, die unter anderem durch ihren Wasserspeicher und die Verdunstung die Umgebung abkühlen können. In den dicht verbauten Städten fehlt dafür jedoch meist der Platz, deswegen sind Fassadenbegrünungen eine alternative die Städte trotz Platzmangel grüner zu gestalten. In dieser Arbeit werden die verschiedenen Varianten erläutert und auf welche Ausführung, besonders bei Bestandsobjekten, geachtet werden muss. Des Weiteren werden die unterschiedlichen Auswirkungen auf das Mikroklima und auch die Auswirkungen auf den Innenraum erläutert. Anhand der Biotop City in Wien wird ein aktuelles Projekt, welches sich sehr mit dem Thema der Begrünung beschäftigt hat, genauer analysiert. Zudem wird erläutert, wie mit dem komplexen Thema der Begrünung, mit Schwerpunkt auf der Fassadenbegrünung umgegangen wurde. So sind positive Effekte um das Gebäude deutlich zu erkennen. Diese beschränken sich jedoch auf das unmittelbare Umfeld. Um die Nutzer eines Gebäudes mit einer Fassadenbegrünung miteinzubeziehen und die Auswirkungen aus erster Hand zu ermitteln, wurde ein Fragebogen erstellt, welcher an die MitarbeiterInnen der Magistratsabteilung 48 und der Magistratsabteilung 31 übermittelt wurde. Die Rückmeldungen waren vorwiegend positiv gegenüber der Begrünung. Trotzdem wurden Aspekte aufgezeigt, die in der Zukunft verbessert werden könnten. One way to counteract this heat is through plants, which can cool the environment through their water storage and evaporation, among other things. In densely built-up cities, there is usually not enough space for this, which is why green facades are an alternative to make cities greener despite the lack of space. In this paper, the different variants are explained and what must be taken care of during the implementation, especially for existing buildings. Furthermore, the different effects on the microclimate and the effects on the interior are explained. Based on the Biotop City in Vienna, a current project, which has dealt very much with the topic of greening, is analyzed in more detail, and explained how the complex topic of greening was dealt with, with a focus on the greening of the facade. The positive effects around the building can be clearly seen but were limited to the immediate surroundings. To involve the users of the buildings with a green façade and to determine the first-hand effects, a questionnaire was prepared and sent to the staff of Magistrate's Department 48 and Magistrate's Department 31. Verträge bilden die Grundlage aller Geschäftsvorfälle und deren Verwaltung stellt eine alltägliche administrative Arbeit für Unternehmen dar. Ein Vertrag wird abgeschlossen, um die gegenseitige Willenserklärung der Vertragsparteien rechtskräftig festzuhalten. Infolgedessen existiert bei allen Parteien das Interesse, eine rechtlich bindende Vertragsversion in eigenem Besitz aufzubewahren. Aktuell findet die Verwahrung mittels physischen oder digitalen Vertragskopien in einer Ablage oder Datenbank, über eine zentralisierte geteilte Plattform oder durch die Inanspruchnahme eines Drittservices statt. Diese Lösungen haben den Nachteil, dass entweder mehrere gültige Vertragsversionen bestehen oder darauf vertraut werden muss, dass die geteilte Plattform von der innehabenden Partei nicht kompromittiert wird. Nachteile beim Drittservice entstehen durch hohe Kosten und eine zeitaufwendige Vertragsentstehung. Diese Arbeit umfasst die Konzipierung, Entwicklung und kritische Würdigung eines Prototyps im Rückvergütungs- und Darlehensvertragsmanagement einer Schweizer Brauerei. Mit der Realisation des Prototyps wird untersucht, wie durch die Anwendung der Blockchain-Technologie eine integre Aufbewahrung einer einzig gültigen Vertragsversion umgesetzt werden kann. Darüber hinaus analysiert die Arbeit Optimierungen im Vertragsentstehungsprozess in Bezug auf Effizienz, Transparenz, Rückverfolgbarkeit und Automation.
