Abstract: The design of functional metallohydrogels is attractive but challenging. A rational approach is introduced for designing functional metallohydrogels using chiral ligands, a phenylalanine derivative with a pyridyl group ( l/ d‐PF). Intriguingly, the as‐prepared metallohydrogel exhibits excellent O2 binding and activating properties. Insights into the O2 binding pathway reveals the presence of a novel [( l+ d)‐PF‐Cu3+‐O2−] species, which can efficiently reduce ferric cytochrome c with the reactive O2− by receiving an electron from reductant ascorbic acid. Current cancer therapy is seriously challenged by tumor metastasis and recurrence. One promising solution to these problems is to build antitumor immunity. However, immunotherapeutic efficacy is highly impeded by the immunosuppressive state of the tumors. Here a new strategy is presented, catalytic immunotherapy based on artificial enzymes. Cu2−xTe nanoparticles exhibit tunable enzyme‐mimicking activity (including glutathione oxidase and peroxidase) under near‐infrared‐II (NIR‐II) light. The cascade reactions catalyzed by the Cu2−xTe artificial enzyme gradually elevates intratumor oxidative stress to induce immunogenic cell death. Meanwhile, the continuously generated oxidative stress by the Cu2−xTe artificial enzyme reverses the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, and boosts antitumor immune responses to eradicate both primary and distant metastatic tumors. • Metal Ag and Bi co-decorated BiVO 4 chain-like microstructures were fabricated. • The content of metallic Ag or Bi can be tuned by adjusting the amount of AgNO 3. • Ag-Bi/BiVO 4 displays a superior photocatalytic activity for CO 2 conversion. Developing semiconductor-based photocatalysts with high activity and stability to reduce CO 2 into valuable solar fuels is of great significance because of the increasingly serious energy crisis and global warming. Here, metallic Ag and Bi nanoparticles co-decorated BiVO 4 (Ag-Bi/BiVO 4) chain-like hollow microstructures were prepared via construction of Bi/BiVO 4 hollow microstructures followed by coupling with Ag through a galvanic replacement reaction between Bi and AgNO 3. The characterization results demonstrated that as-fabricated Ag-Bi/BiVO 4 composites possess unique features such as extended visible-light response, rich oxygen vacancies (OVs), elevated conduction band, and high separation efficiency of photoexcited electron-hole pairs, which endow the Ag-Bi/BiVO 4 composites with a surprising photocatalytic performance toward CO 2 conversion to CO under visible light irradiation. The present work develops a feasible and effective strategy for developing BiVO 4 -based photocatalysts with suitable electronic band structure to improve the efficiency of CO 2 conversion under the irradiation of visible-light. Two novel multi-responsive metallohydrogels, namely, 2-PF–Ni and 3-PF–Ni, were successfully constructed from phenylalanine derivatives. The 2-PF gelator shows specific responses to Ni2+; particularly, 2-PF–Ni is lavender colored, which has been rarely reported among hydrogels triggered by Ni2+. 3-PF–Ni is light green and exhibits perfect thixotropy.
