2. Redesigning Research Guides: Lessons Learned from Usability Testing at the University of Memphis.

At the University of Memphis, a team of librarians and library staff formed the Research Guides Redesign Team (RGRT) to redesign, organize, and evaluate the University Libraries' (UL) research guides. The purpose of the project was to ensure that the new design of the research guides homepage was intuitive to use. While it is impossible to ensure absolute usability for every user, this usability study attempts to eradicate the most common interface issues in community experiences at the University of Memphis. The RGRT conducted usability testing to evaluate the effectiveness of the new standardized format, grouped headings, and the appearance of the interface. The RGRT worked within the limitations of Springshare's software to create the design and then chose five users to complete various task scenarios. Upon analysis of the users' ability to complete the tasks, the RGRT discovered that overall, the design was effective, but they did make a few minor changes. This study describes the process and includes the original design, the new design, edits made after usability testing was conducted, and plans for future testing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Due to the heritage value of historical buildings, external facades can often not be modified. Therefore, in heritage buildings interior insulation is often considered when undergoing an energy renovation. However, interior retrofitting drastically changes the hygrothermal behaviour of a wall and can potentially cause moisture-related problems. Besides an interior retrofit, a changing climate might also trigger some of these damage mechanisms as parameters such as temperature and precipitation will change over time. Hygrothermal models can provide relevant insights into the risk of deterioration associated with these damage phenomena. However, these Heat, Air and Moisture (HAM) tools are commercially available but rarely used in the building industry to study deterioration risks. Translating research into practical tools and guidelines is a challenge across the whole field of building renovation. This paper aims to tackle that challenge, by means of creating a hygrothermal risk assessment tool based on 48,384 HAM-simulations for the climate of Brussels, Belgium. Seven different performance criteria are addressed and discussed: freeze-thaw damage, mould growth, wood rot, corrosion, moisture accumulation, salt efflorescence and bio-colonisation. Subsequent to a sensitivity analysis, the study further explains how these results can be translated into practice, providing building practitioners the most suitable insights and recommendations. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated health disparities among immigrant communities. Delivering accurate information and addressing misinformation on protective measures and vaccination to linguistically disadvantaged groups was critical for mitigating the effects of the pandemic. One group that was especially vulnerable to miscommunication about COVID-19 was non–native English-speaking immigrants. To address these disparities, the Asian American Studies Center and the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles, partnered to create a multilingual resource hub, TranslateCovid.org, to disseminate credible and reliable information about COVID-19 safety measures, the science behind the vaccines, and vaccine safety. We identified >1300 verified resources in 60 languages from government, academic, and nonprofit organizations and reposted them on the TranslateCovid website. We also developed public service announcement videos on handwashing, use of face masks, and social distancing in 10 languages and a fact sheet for frequently asked questions in 20 languages. We used a participatory approach to develop strategies for disseminating these resources. We discuss lessons learned, including strategies for forming government, community, and academic partnerships to support the timely development and dissemination of information. At-home respite services seem too rigid to meet the needs of older adults and their caregivers. It is critical to develop service flexibility, as it allows for personalized care, adapted to health conditions, preferences, and evolving needs. While no prior studies used coconstruction methods to increase flexibility, this study could offer a better understanding of flexible respite for stakeholders. Using a living lab approach, this article aimed to (1) empirically determine the characteristics of this type of respite model and (2) document the levers and obstacles to consider for its implementation. Starting from a pre-existing flexible respite model named ANAAIS, the research team led workshops and interviews. First, the team carried out 2 workshops (TRIAGE and persona-scenario) with a total of 3 caregivers and 8 homecare professionals or managers. Second, a team member conducted interviews with 3 caregivers and 6 homecare professionals or managers. Content analysis was used on the data. The stakeholders coconstructed a Québec version of ANAAIS, a web application allowing caregivers to request an affordable respite, at the time wanted, and offered by a qualified care worker, through a simple application. Levers and barriers to its deployment are linked to the model's characteristics as well as its internal and external context. For example, relations and connexions were perceived as a lever to deployment, while the lack of resources was considered an obstacle. 7. Comparative Analysis of Chatbots Using Large Language Models for Web Development Tasks.

In this study, we compare the performance of five chatbots using large language models (LLMs) in handling web development tasks. Three human testers asked each chatbot nine predefined questions related to creating a simple website with a dynamic form and database integration. The questions covered tasks such as generating a web document structure, designing a layout, creating a form, and implementing database queries. The chatbots' outputs were ranked based on accuracy, completeness, creativity, and security. The experiment reveals that conversational chatbots are adept at managing complex tasks, while programming assistants require more precisely formulated tasks or the ability to generate new responses to address irrelevant outputs. The findings suggest that conversational chatbots are more capable of handling a broader range of web development tasks with minimal supervision, whereas programming assistants need more precise task definitions to achieve comparable results. This study contributes to understanding the strengths and limitations of various LLM-based chatbots in practical coding scenarios, offering insights for their application in web development. This paper presents the multidisciplinary work carried out in the RTVE-UGR Chair within the IVERES project, whose main objective is the development of a tool for journalists to verify the veracity of the audios that reach the newsrooms. In the current context, voice synthesis has both beneficial and detrimental applications, with audio deepfakes being a significant concern in the world of journalism due to their ability to mislead and misinform. This is a multifaceted problem that can only be tackled adopting a multidisciplinary perspective. In this article, we describe the approach we adopted within the RTVE-UGR Chair to successfully address the challenges derived from audio deepfakes involving a team with different backgrounds and a specific methodology of iterative co-creation. As a result, we present several outcomes including the compilation and generation of audio datasets, the development and deployment of several audio fake detection models, and the development of a web audio verification tool addressed to journalists. As a conclusion, we highlight the importance of this systematic collaborative work in the fight against misinformation and the future potential of audio verification technologies in various applications. Background: Stroke survivors and their caregivers have numerous and diverse educational needs, many of which are unmet because of inadequate training from healthcare professionals. As stroke recovery and rehabilitation can continue for years post-stroke, it is critical that stroke survivors are provided with and have access to a range of support options and evidence-based information. Website-based education programs (WEP) have been adopted in recent years to manage health problems. The present pilot study aims to evaluate the effect of WEP on activities of daily living (ADLs) and the fear of falls among sub-acute stroke survivors. Methods: A total of 16 eligible post-stroke survivors were recruited from multiple study settings across Surat City of Gujarat state in western India and were randomly assigned using a lottery method to either the experimental group (n = 8) receiving WEP or the control group (n = 8) receiving conventional physiotherapy for 4 weeks. Outcome measures were the Indian Stroke Scale (ISS), Modified Barthel Index (MBI), and Falls Efficacy Scale-International (FES-I). Results: Both groups showed statistically significant improvements in all outcomes but the experimental group showed more significant improvements in ADLs and fear of falls among sub-acute stroke survivors (p < 0.05). Conclusion: WEP for sub-acute stroke survivors is an effective intervention. It improves the performance of ADLs for stroke survivors and helps in better fall management indicating that web-based education programs shall be implemented on a regular basis to improve patient care. At present there is no definite data regarding the number of MSMEs that utilize the Mudharabah scheme from both the East Java Cooperative Office and BPS because the provision of Mudharabah services is the right of MSMEs to provide capital, which is mostly provided by Islamic banks. Problems faced by MSME business actors include limited capital costs, deepening information technology and marketing. So it is necessary to develop a website-based e-Mudharabah system using the waterfall method and the system usability scale (SUS) testing method. The results of research on the e-Mudharabah website using the SUS testing method, obtained the results of respondents from investors, consultants, and MSME actors. The average conversion result was obtained with a result of 81,125 with the description “Excellent” with a B value scale where the conversion results were applied using the SUS method. The article examines issues of web accessibility ecosystems for people with special needs. Methods, models, accessibility standards, and technologies related to the structure, design, and functionality of the web accessibility ecosystem are studied. Several themes for the design of the system with an emphasis on its accessibility for blind users are explored and analyzed. The general purpose of the study was to develop a website to improve the teaching-learning experience of high school students. A mixed methods exploratory sequential design was followed by using the Research and Development design as a basis supported with an inferential analysis. The sample was made up of 161 educational actors belonging to seven high schools. An online questionnaire was used with access links to the website under development for qualitative assessment, and Fisher's exact test for hypotheses testing. The findings indicated that there is a significant association between different categorical variables studied, suggesting a correlation between various aspects of the user experience on the educational website and its influence on the educational field of high school. However, several challenges were identified, such as the reliability of the content and the availability of technological resources. This article presents a web‐based framework to build a database without in‐depth programming knowledge given a set of CIF dictionaries and a collection of CIFs. The framework consists of two main elements: the public site that displays the information contained in the CIFs in an ordered manner, and the restricted administrative site which defines how that information is stored, processed and, eventually, displayed. Thus, the web application allows users to easily explore, filter and access the data, download the original CIFs, and visualize the structures via JSmol. The modulated structures open database B‐IncStrDB, the official International Union of Crystallography repository for this type of material and available through the Bilbao Crystallographic Server, has been re‐implemented following the proposed framework. The purpose of the study is to study the impact of digital design on the communicative interaction between the consumer and the manufacturer. The study involved two groups of respondents. The first group included 47 digital design professionals (26 men and 21 women) involved in websites development. The second group included 49 consumers of these goods and services (25 men and 24 women). For the survey of respondents, a validated questionnaire was developed that included characteristics of the main digital design tools used to develop websites and aimed at attracting consumers of goods. The research has shown that the main factors of digital site design, affecting the communication between a manufacturer and consumers, are loading speed, security, usability, and the possibility of feedback. At the same time, designers prioritize the technical parameters of the site and the presence of the target audience, while consumers prioritize user-friendliness, site design, and information security. This study describes the pathways by which prospective users of a website for natural hazard communication experienced agency as user-centered design (UCD) participants. Formative interviews with residents, community managers, and outreach professionals revealed two pathways for agency during the design process—by directly influencing design changes and by indirectly affecting developers' understanding of user needs—and previewed users' potential agency during real-world use. Findings reveal how agential opportunities were constrained by UCD structure and choices of the development team. 19. Machine learning for identifying risk of death in patients with severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome.

Background: Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) has attracted attention due to the rising incidence and high severity and mortality rates. This study aims to construct a machine learning (ML) model to identify SFTS patients at high risk of death early in hospital admission, and to provide early intensive intervention with a view to reducing the risk of death. Methods: Data of patients hospitalized for SFTS in two hospitals were collected as training and validation sets, respectively, and six ML methods were used to construct the models using the screened variables as features. The performance of the models was comprehensively evaluated and the best model was selected for interpretation and development of an online web calculator for application. Results: A total of 483 participants were enrolled in the study and 96 (19.88%) patients died due to SFTS. After a comprehensive evaluation, the XGBoostbased model performs best: the AUC scores for the training and validation sets are 0.962 and 0.997. Conclusion: Using ML can be a good way to identify high risk individuals in SFTS patients. We can use this model to identify patients at high risk of death early in their admission and manage them intensively at an early stage. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

20. An efficient blockchain-based authentication scheme with transferability.

In the development of web applications, the rapid advancement of Internet technologies has brought unprecedented opportunities and increased the demand for user authentication schemes. Before the emergence of blockchain technology, establishing trust between two unfamiliar entities relied on a trusted third party for identity verification. However, the failure or malicious behavior of such a trusted third party could undermine such authentication schemes (e.g., single points of failure, credential leaks). A secure authorization system is another requirement of user authentication schemes, as users must authorize other entities to act on their behalf in some situations. If the transfer of authentication permissions is not adequately restricted, security risks such as unauthorized transfer of permissions to entities may occur. Some research has proposed blockchain-based decentralized user authentication solutions to address these risks and enhance availability and auditability. However, as we know, most proposed schemes that allow users to transfer authentication permissions to other entities require significant gas consumption when deployed and triggered in smart contracts. To address this issue, we proposed an authentication scheme with transferability solely based on hash functions. By combining one-time passwords with Hashcash, the scheme can limit the number of times permissions can be transferred while ensuring security. Furthermore, due to its reliance solely on hash functions, our proposed authentication scheme has an absolute advantage regarding computational complexity and gas consumption in smart contracts. Additionally, we have deployed smart contracts on the Goerli test network and demonstrated the practicality and efficiency of this authentication scheme. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The paper investigates the effect of introducing a course in Web Development for Chinese students on their academic achievements and the basic competencies, using traditional and online approaches. For the experimental learning purposes, 300 students were selected from three universities located in China's largest cities: Shanghai, Beijing, and Tianjin. A course in Web Development was designed and implemented to achieve the research objectives. The study results showed that the difference in the learning outcomes of the two groups was insignificant and did not depend on the training format. Online learners had more feedback and were able to take lectures and practical training more quickly. Further research requires quantifying and comparing the effects of online learning in programming instruction using the instrumental variable method and structural equation modeling to reveal the causal relationship between the two. The study can be useful to developers of training programs to create both traditional and online courses because the data obtained during this research can improve the effectiveness of the new course. Service discovery and composition are crucial tasks in the development of Web services, it is designed to select the appropriate services for each task and ensure that services are called in the correct order. Unlike traditional methods, we aim to solve the service composition problem from a new perspective by developing a novel service composition using semantics based natural language descriptions. The proposed algorithm employs a combination of natural language processing and semantic-based techniques to extract the functional semantics of service datasets and understand the user context. By parsing the user's request, the method extracts possible sub-queries contained within the request and identifies the appropriate combination of sub-queries. Leveraging the BM25 algorithm and the ESIM semantic matching model, the method identifies atomic services with high correlation with sub-queries and determines the composable atomic services set according to the defined composition constraints. In this method, I created a Javascript module for generating and inserting a HTML table, including an entry function and two sub-functions. When the user applies it, copy these functions together with the table mark into the web page location where the forest plot is to be inserted. The web page will generate the forest plot by passing in parameters and calling the entry function in the user's own Javascript module. This research focuses on developing LegitCheck's website interface by applying the Parallax Scrolling Effect technique, which is considered as a potential solution to support the startup's promotional strategy. LegitCheck, as a startup that needs an effective way to introduce its services and business concept to consumers and brands, requires a website that can serve as an attractive promotional medium as well as a comprehensive information center. The purpose of this research is to examine the effectiveness of the Parallax Scrolling Effect technique compared to a website without the effect in increasing the effectiveness of the LegitCheck website as a promotional tool. The research method used includes the design and implementation of the Parallax Scrolling Effect technique on the LegitCheck website, followed by evaluation using the A/B testing method. The results showed that the implementation of the Parallax Scrolling Effect technique provided significant benefits, including improved information accuracy, service quality, user satisfaction, and company net profit. Although there are constraints related to page loading speed, the majority of respondents prefer websites with Parallax Scrolling Effect because it provides a more interactive and engaging experience. The implication of this study is that the use of Parallax Scrolling Effect can be an effective strategy for startups such as LegitCheck to increase interaction with users, strengthen brand image, and increase the effectiveness of the website as a promotional tool, although it is necessary to pay attention to technical aspects such as page loading speed to minimize potential disruptions to the user experience. All newborns undergo minor painful procedures (e.g., injections). Despite strong evidence supporting parents' efficacy to reduce procedural pain (e.g., breastfeeding), parents remain an underutilized resource. Limited evidence‐based resources about infant procedural pain management targeting parents in the perinatal period exist. We co‐created Parenting Pain Away, a website to enhance parents' access to information and participation in procedural pain management following birth. This study aimed to conduct iterative usability testing with the perinatal population to refine Parenting Pain Away based on target users' identified needs and satisfaction. In 2020, parents of healthy newborns or expectant parents from an Atlantic Canadian province, participated in two iterative cycles of usability testing of Parenting Pain Away. Through recorded interviews, participants were directed to use the "Think Aloud" approach (e.g., verbalize what they see, think, feel) as they navigated through the website. Participants completed online questionnaires related to demographics and user satisfaction, measured by the Post Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ). Descriptive statistics and content analysis were conducted to analyze the data. In total, there were 10 participants with an average age of 29.9 years (SD = 3.9). Participants identified as mothers (n = 7) or fathers (n = 3) and were expecting (n = 6) or had a newborn (n = 4). The PSSUQ overall scores were 1.84 (SD = 0.55) and 1.34 (SD = 0.49) in Cycles 1 and 2, respectively, indicating high user satisfaction on the 7‐point scale. When comparing between the two cycles, the average overall score was lower in Cycle 2, suggesting improved satisfaction. Participants provided positive feedback about the website and suggested major refinements to simplify content and site navigation. Findings from usability testing cycles were used to inform refinements of the Parenting Pain Away in response to participant satisfaction and feedback. Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) have achieved remarkable success in various tasks, including image generation, editing, and reconstruction, as well as in unsupervised and representation learning. Despite their impressive capabilities, GANs are often plagued by challenges such as unstable training dynamics and limitations in generating complex patterns. To address these challenges, we propose a novel image style transfer method, named C3GAN, which leverages CycleGAN architecture to achieve consistent and stable transformation of image style. In this context, "image style" refers to the distinct visual characteristics or artistic elements, such as the color schemes, textures, and brushstrokes that define the overall appearance of an image. Our method incorporates cyclic consistency, ensuring that the style transformation remains coherent and visually appealing, thus enhancing the training stability and overcoming the generative limitations of traditional GAN models. Additionally, we have developed a robust and efficient image style transfer system by integrating Flask for web development and MySQL for database management. Our system demonstrates superior performance in transferring complex styles compared to existing model-based approaches. This paper presents the development of a comprehensive image style transfer system based on our advanced C3GAN model, effectively addressing the challenges of GANs and expanding application potential in domains such as artistic creation and cinematic special effects. Along with their physical health, modern people also need to manage the health of their scalp and hair due to changes in lifestyle habits, job stress, and environmental pollution. In this study, a machine learning model was developed to diagnose scalp conditions such as fine dandruff and perifollicular erythema. Then, transfer learning was conducted using EfficientNet-B0. A web platform that allows users to easily diagnose the condition of their scalp was also proposed. The results showed that the accuracy of the diagnosis model for fine dandruff and perifollicular erythema was 75% and 82%, respectively. It showed good performance in classifying normal, mild, moderate, and severe cases compared to previous studies. Finally, a fast and convenient web platform was developed where users can upload an image and immediately visualize their scalp condition, receive diagnostic results, and see similar cases and solutions. The analysis of user satisfaction indicates that this web application has achieved exceptional outcomes in terms of user satisfaction, garnering high evaluations for its usability, design effectiveness, and overall user experience. This setup enables users to easily check their scalp condition and is accessible to everyone, which is a significant advantage. The development of web applications is very complicated these days, as it requires knowledge of a number of technologies in order to create a full-featured application. Students, especially those who are beginners in this field, have problems in connecting all the necessary technologies and languages together. The core of every web application is its server part. where professional frameworks are often used, which shorten the time needed to create an application for experienced developers, but for students who are just learning, they represent an overly complex system, very difficult to master. Therefore, it is best not to use such frameworks for teaching, but to prepare for them simpler and easier to understand tools that they will use when creating their semester projects. In this article, we deal with the creation and description of experiences with our own framework, which we created for the students of our Internet application development course. In it, we describe what causes the biggest problems for students, how we solved them in our framework, and at the same time we provide an evaluation of how the framework has proven itself over several years of use. Also, part of the paper is an evaluation of how students used the framework. The main criterion for evaluation was how many students preferred our framework to others when developing a semester project. We tested the practical use of the framework in web applications for transport, intelligent transport systems and communication systems between vehicles to prove its functionality, even if it was not primarily intended for creating applications for production.

This system consists of a system for inputting handicrafts, a system for marketing handicrafts, and preparing reports. The web development process can be a tedious task, depending on the scale of the project, particularly when it comes to designing and developing the frontend of a website. However, these tools, like WordPress or Squarespace, may not be suitable for all scenarios, despite their ability to simplify the process. Moreover, most solutions depend on pre-established templates, which may restrict a user's ability to showcase their originality and individuality. As a result, the development of a website, particularly a web application might become laborious or unattainable. The objective of the study is to streamline the frontend procedure of web development using artificial intelligence by transforming basic sketches of a webpage into a fully functional webpage composed of HTML and CSS. The YOLOv5 model was used for developing the proposed solution. Approximately 70% of the dataset was used for training, while the remaining 30% was used for validation. The proposed approach consists of four primary components: a pre-processor, an element generator, element detection, and the generation of HTML elements. The proposed solution is evaluated based on the accuracy of element placement, the correctness of text elements, and the computing speed. The proposed solution performs exceptionally well on simple, single-column webpages. The accuracy of placement is above 80%. Nevertheless, it lacks the necessary capabilities to handle complex webpages. The computational speeds demonstrate satisfactory performance. There is a difference of 0.283 milliseconds between the fastest and slowest generation. Further testing with a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is necessary to assess the performance of the detection approach in combination with the hardware. Furthermore, improving the accuracy of both the process of producing elements and the procedures for detecting them will result in a greater level of precision in the final result. Research is more focused and directed to produce more precise and measurable outputs in developing web applications and integrated administrative services with the community in Tanete Village, Simbang District, and Maros Regency. The method used in this study is collecting data consisting of observation and identification, surveys, interviews, and discussions with village officials. Furthermore, system development with requirements analysis, implementation system design, and then continued system testing with Blackbox Testing. The study results are in the form of a web-based program prototype, namely appropriate technology to provide information on managing village administration services integrated with the community with Tanete village devices. All certificates needed by the community are available on the application so that the manufacturing is fast and completed quickly. Each stage of making a certificate is equipped with a status, making it easier for the community to monitor the progress of making a certificate without having to go to the village office many times to ask for the required certificate and the management of the certificate only once comes to the village office when the application informs that the certificate has been printed and the letter can be taken. Background: With the extensive utilization of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) across various cancers, ICIs-related thyroid dysfunction (ICI-TD) has become a growing concern in clinical practice. This study aimed to devise an individualized management strategy for ICI-TD to enhance the early identification and proactive management in cancer patients. Methods: We designed and conducted a three-phase study. Initially, we analyzed the influencing factors through a systematic review and meta-analysis, which adhered to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Moreover, the study protocol was registered with PROSPERO (CRD42019131133). Subsequently, prediction models for ICI-TD were developed utilizing 11 algorithms based on the real-world cohort data from July 20, 2018 (the approval date of the first ICIs, Pembrolizumab in China), to October 31, 2022. Considering discrimination, calibration, and clinical utility, we selected the model with the best performance for web calculator development. Finally, individualized management strategies for ICI-TD were proposed by combining evidence-based analysis with practical considerations. Results: The systematic review encompassed 21 observational studies involving 4,145 patients, revealing associations between ICI-TD and factors such as female gender, age, receipt of Pembrolizumab (versus other ICIs), and baseline levels of thyroid-stimulating hormone, free thyroxine, and antithyroid antibodies. In the prediction model development phase, 621 participants were enrolled, with 36 patients developing ICI-TD. The model based on the LightGBM algorithm demonstrated superior performance, leading to the development of a web calculator. Based on these findings and existing guidelines, individualized monitoring and treatment pathways for pharmacists were devised. Green credit is one of the primary tools used to support and finance environmentally friendly projects. Thus, green credits appear to be a current research area. This research aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of studies on green credits. To achieve this goal, we reviewed 2,630 studies published in the Web of Science database between 1980 and 2024. We presented the changes in the number of studies and citations over time, along with details about the most cited studies. In the literature review section, in particular, studies published recently were examined. Then, we categorize the studies based on document and index type, written language, countries, subjects, and citation categories. Our main results are: The most intense years for studies on green credits are 2022 and 2023. 98% of the studies were published in English, with over 80% being article-based. China leads the list of countries to conducting the most studies. The first three categories with the most studies are environmental sciences, green sustainable science technology, and economics. The advent of information technology re-innovates all sectors of bio-sciences. Researchers use Semantic Web to improve web searching, mining and integration, which alleviates the time-consuming task of finding relevant and high-quality content. Semantics is improved through ontology engineering in any domain. Amended and developed ontologies will be uploaded to existing standardised and approved biomedical repositories. The establishment of a World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) approved and standardised ontology repository is the most ambitious goal. This work will solely focus on some selected agri-ontologies. The main objective is to promote outcome-based research and transformation styles of relevant expertise sharing. The intended goal is to win project funding to train and equip students with relevant skills and expertise. Need-based and market-oriented training and professional grooming are a tangible asset for students. The majority of traditional Web development freelancers are unaware of ontology or semantic web market demand. Freelancing is another option for expert Ontology developers. However, agriculture students are used to all the research vocabulary and terminologies in their area, but they do not know how to contribute their expertise to improve the efficiency of the Semantic Web in their domain. If the improvement in relevant ontology becomes a part of the Semantic Web, then it is termed 'Real-time Web semantics enhancement'. 41. Exploring an effective automated grading model with reliability detection for large‐scale online peer assessment.

Background: Peer assessment has played an important role in large‐scale online learning, as it helps promote the effectiveness of learners' online learning. However, with the emergence of numerical grades and textual feedback generated by peers, it is necessary to detect the reliability of the large amount of peer assessment data, and then develop an effective automated grading model to analyse the data and predict learners' learning results. Objectives: The present study aimed to propose an automated grading model with reliability detection. Methods: A total of 109,327 instances of peer assessment from a large‐scale teacher online learning program were tested in the experiments. The reliability detection approach included three steps: recurrent convolutional neural networks (RCNN) was used to detect grade consistency, bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT) was used to detect text originality, and long short‐term memory (LSTM) was used to detect grade‐text consistency. Furthermore, the automated grading was designed with the BERT‐RCNN model. Results and Conclusions: The effectiveness of the automated grading model with reliability detection was shown. For reliability detection, RCNN performed best in detecting grade consistency with an accuracy rate of 0.889, BERT performed best in detecting text originality with an improvement of 4.47% compared to the benchmark model, and LSTM performed best with an accuracy rate of 0.883. Moreover, the automated grading model with reliability detection achieved good performance, with an accuracy rate of 0.89. Compared to the absence of reliability detection, it increased by 12.1%. Implications: The results strongly suggest that the automated grading model with reliability detection for large‐scale peer assessment is effective, with the following implications: (1) The introduction of reliability detection is necessary to help filter out low reliability data in peer assessment, thus promoting effective automated grading results. (2) This solution could assist assessors in adjusting the exclusion threshold of peer assessment reliability, providing a controllable automated grading tool to reducing manual workload with high quality. (3) This solution could shift educational institutions from labour‐intensive grading procedures to a more efficient educational assessment pattern, allowing for more investment in supporting instructors and learners to improve the quality of peer feedback. Purpose: This project contributes a rhetorical approach to search engine optimization (SEO) as algorithmic audience analysis. It positions SEO as an activity that requires strategists to compose website content that is optimized to both human search engine users and the algorithmic audience (Gallagher, 2017) of a search engine's indexed content. Method: Actor-Network Theory (Latour, 2005), with its focus on the agency of non-human entities combined with human agency in social activity, provides the theoretical framework for this approach. The project combines usability testing with web development methods to trace rhetorical agency during online search activities (Hocutt, 2019). Doing so demonstrates the role search algorithms play as receptive audiences of SEO strategies. Results: Approaches to teaching SEO within the framework of technical and professional communication (TPC) rhetorical foundations require understanding the algorithmic audiences of SEO practices. By matching timestamp data from videorecorded usability tests and HTTP archive (HAR) files produced during usability testing sessions, content strategists can overlay the chronological recordings with their SEO strategies to better understand how successfully SEO met human and algorithmic audience expectations. When SEO practice identifies human audience expectations effectively and develops content signals attractive to its technological audiences, both audiences succeed in an assembled meaning-making exercise. By applying existing methods of audience analysis to search algorithms, content strategists can improve SEO and help surface relevant content for their human users. The development of Web 3.0 is aimed at utilizing available information to enhance users' experiences of searching, allowing this process to be catered by different users to their own needs. However, websites do not make life easier for blind users. Unconditional situations lead to the frustration and total exclusion of blind users. To overcome the accessibility problems, this study aims to develop a blind user mental model (BlUMM) for browsing websites. We conducted a qualitative empirical study via usability test with structured interviews and task analysis in five different scenarios on a website using JAWS screen reader. Six blind users participated in this study. Their feedback was recorded on a video and transcribed into a GOMS model. From the activities, the participants indicated the challenges they faced to accomplish the tasks. The information obtained was analyzed, and BlUMM was developed based on Nielsen's usability principles, GOMS model, and Norman's action cycle model. The methodology was divided into three phases. Phase 1 was the identification of the challenges encountered by blind users while browsing the website. Phase 2 was the analysis of the ability of the blind users to accomplish tasks. Phase 3 involved mapping the blind users' actions. As a result, the BlUMM was developed with 14 elements, which were set/plan the goal, explore the browser/website, apply the existing mental model, discover new features, select features, predict the feedback, execute the plan, execute the task, perceive the feedback, interpret the feedback, change strategy, accomplish the goal, update the strategy, and implement the new mental model with four stages of user action: planning, selection, execution, and evaluation. For the past 80 years survey researchers have used a probability sampling framework. Probability samples have a well-defined set of quality criteria that have been organized around the concept of Total Survey Error (TSE). Non-probability samples do not fit within this framework very well and some possible alternatives to TSE are explored. In recent years, electoral polls have undergone changes as a result of the dispersion of public opinion due mostly, but not only, to the development of the web and social media. From a methodological point of view, the main changes concerned sampling and data collection techniques. The aim of the article is to provide a critical contribution to the methodological debate on electoral polls with particular attention to the samples used which appear to be more similar to non-probability samples than to the traditional probability samples used for many decades in electoral polls. We will explore several new approaches that attempt to make inference possible even when a survey sample does not match the classic probability sample. We will also discuss a set of post hoc adjustments that have been suggested as ways to reduce the bias in estimates from non-probability samples; these adjustments use auxiliary data in an effort to deal with selection and other biases. Propensity score adjustment is the most well know of these techniques. This article examines the evolution of artists' interaction with the audience in the context of media culture, linked to the updates of communication mechanisms on the Internet, from the static Web 1.0 to the interactive Web 3.0. The aim of the article is to show the connections between the changes in authorship models and mechanisms of interaction with the audience in artistic practice and the evolutionary development of web technologies. The transformation of contemporary artistic forms is the result of the active influence of digital technologies and the associated collapse of the existing hierarchy between author, performer and audience. The study discusses the strengthening of the interactive component in artistic practices, parallel to the development of Internet technologies from Web 1.0 to the semantic Web 3.0 and analyzes the overlapping of these processes and their mutual influence in the context of post humanist perspectives. It was found that artistic collaborations through collective authorship are a characteristic model of authorship for this phase of Internet development. It was noted that the evolution from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0 opens new possibilities for the creation of multisensory experiences, thanks to the use of VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) technologies, which are actively used by artists in artistic practices and works, for example in operas or concerts. In addition, the active development and integration of artificial intelligence technologies in artistic practices has been identified. Purpose. The purpose of this research is a comprehensive analysis and optimization of gesture and motion synchronization tools in virtual reality using web technologies. The study focuses on identifying the most effective methods for integrating VR solutions into web space to enhance the naturalness and intuitiveness of user interaction with virtual environments. Special attention is given to exploring the capabilities of modern web platforms such as React XR and React 360 for developing interactive web VR applications that provide precise and smooth gesture and motion control for users. Methodology. The research is based on a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of existing web libraries for creating VR experiences, such as React XR and React 360. Experimental methods are employed to test different approaches to synchronization of gestures and motions, including motion sensors, cameras, and machine learning algorithms. Technical aspects of VR application implementation are examined, including the use of Kalman filter for motion correction and reactive programming for dynamic virtual environment updates. Empirical data is collected through a series of experiments with interactive web VR applications to evaluate the effectiveness of different synchronization methods. Findings. The analysis shows that the use of React XR and React 360 libraries significantly improves the quality and speed of developing web VR applications. React XR, due to its free availability, open-source nature, and active developer community, has proven more effective for rapid integration of VR solutions into web space. The use of the Kalman filter ensures accurate correction of user movements, enabling the creation of more realistic and immersive experiences. Additionally, synchronization methods based on sensors and computer vision algorithms allow precise tracking and smooth transmission of user gestures and movements into the virtual environment. Originality. The research provides a systematic analysis of the effectiveness of using React XR and React 360 libraries for gesture and movement synchronization by defining efficiency criteria such as gesture processing speed, animation smoothness, and movement reproduction accuracy. The proposed synchronization methods, including the application of the Kalman filter and the Wiener filter, demonstrated high accuracy and efficiency in creating interactive and realistic VR experiences. The study also highlights the importance of selecting optimal web technologies to enhance the performance and usability of VR applications. Optimal web technologies in this context are determined by criteria such as data processing speed, animation smoothness, ease of integration, scalability, and developer support. Performance was assessed based on the system's response speed to user gestures and movements, which included data processing latency. Usability was analyzed based on the ease of integrating technologies into existing web applications and developer feedback on the ease of learning and using these libraries. Practical value. The research findings can be useful for developers working on creating interactive web-VR applications in various fields, including education, medicine, and e-commerce. Using React XR and React 360 allows for the rapid integration of VR technologies into the web space, enhancing the intuitiveness and naturalness of user interactions with virtual environments. Objective: The Non-Opioid Pain Alleviation Information Network (NOPAINMN) project was designed to identify, consolidate, and map evidence-based non-opioid and non-pharmacological pain management complementary and integrative health (CIH) modalities for chronic pain management across Minnesota into a searchable and informational website (www.nopainmn.org ). Methods: The Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health's Pain Task Force White Paper identifying evidence-based research of non-pharmacological pain practice (NPPC) was reviewed and referenced. National and state certifying boards and accrediting organizations for NPPC modalities were accessed to identify Minnesota-based NPPC providers' name, business/health-system affiliation, address, contact information, and credentials. The NOPAINMN website displays these data in a consumer-facing website with searchable fields such as NPPC modality type, and location with varying distances. The website was β-tested by practitioners and stakeholders for optimization. Eight main NPPC modalities and their respective subcategories were identified and mapped: Acupuncture; Integrative Medical Care (Functional medicine consultation and Integrative medicine consultation); Massage Therapy; Mind–Body Therapies (Biofeedback, Clinical Hypnosis, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Music Therapy); Movement Therapies (Tai Chi, qigong, and Yoga Therapy); Psychology (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy); Rehabilitative Therapies (Physical and Occupational Therapy); and Spinal Manipulation. Results: All information compiled resulted in 17,155 providers/practitioners. Physical Therapy had the greatest number of reported providers (n = 5224), followed by Occupational Therapy (n = 3792), Psychology (n = 3324), Chiropractic (n = 3033), Acupuncture (n = 591), and Massage Therapy (n = 544). The Resource Map included 56 major health systems, 686 facilities, 2651 solo or private group practices, and 14 academic training schools. With web-based cross-referencing, providers and facilities were affiliated and linked with health systems to produce an interconnected mapping system. β-Testing with patients found that the website was reported as relatively easy to use and informative. Conclusion: The website was created to assist individuals, health care providers, insurance carriers, and health care facilities in finding evidence-based information and resources on NPPC to guide, support, and proactively manage and engage chronic pain patients across Minnesota. The CDC was challenged to engage residents in developing a community vision after decades of disinvestment.
