Children should be welcomed in pubs and restaurants, as they will benefit from being introduced to eating out at an early age. Families should be allowed to eat in the same room as other diners, and not made to feel alienated. However, parents must expect to have to keep their children under control and to be aware that crying babies are very disturbing to other diners.
