In view of the association between long noncoding RNA OIP5-AS1 and osteoarthritis (OA) pathology, the corresponding potential mechanism is worthy of exploration. Primary chondrocytes were identified by morphological observation and immunohistochemical staining of collagen II. The association between OIP5-AS1 and miR-338-3p was analyzed by StarBase and dual-luciferase reporter assay. After the expression of OIP5-AS1 or miR-338-3p in interleukin (IL)-1β-stimulated primary chondrocytes and CHON-001 cells was manipulated, cell viability, proliferation, apoptosis rate, apoptosis-related protein (cleaved caspase-9, Bax) expressions, extracellular matrix (ECM) (matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-3, MMP-13, aggrecan, and collagen II), PI3K/AKT pathway, and mRNA expressions of inflammatory factors (IL-6 and IL-8), OIP5-AS1, and miR-338-3p were determined by cell counting kit-8, EdU, flow cytometry, Western blot, and quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. As a result, the expression of OIP5-AS1 was downregulated in IL-1β-activated chondrocytes, while miR-338-3p was overexpressed. OIP5-AS1 overexpression reversed the effects of IL-1β on viability, proliferation, apoptosis, ECM degradation, and inflammation in chondrocytes. However, OIP5-AS1 knockdown exhibited opposite effects. Interestingly, the effects of OIP5-AS1 overexpression were partially offset by miR-338-3p overexpression. Furthermore, OIP5-AS1 overexpression blocked the PI3K/AKT pathway by modulating miR-338-3p expression. In sum, OIP5-AS1 promotes viability and proliferation, and inhibits apoptosis and ECM degradation in IL-1β-activated chondrocytes by targeting miR-338-3p through blocking the PI3K/AKT pathway, indicating an attractive strategy for OA treatment.

We introduce a "solution‐processing‐transformation" strategy, deploying solvent vapor as scaffolds, to fabricate high‐quality hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) membranes. This strategy can overcome the mismatch in processing conditions and crystal growth thermodynamics faced during the facile solution processing of the membrane. The procedure includes the vapor‐trigged in situ transformation of dense amorphous supramolecules to crystalline HOF‐16, with HOF‐11 as the transient state. The mechanism involves a vapor‐activated dissolution‐precipitation equilibrium shifting and hydrogen bonding‐guided molecule rearrangement, elucidated through combined experimental and theoretical analysis. Upon removal of the molecular scaffolds, the resulting HOF‐16 membranes showcase significant improvement in hydrogen separation performance over their amorphous counterparts and previously reported HOF membranes. The method's broad applicability is evidenced by successfully extending it to other substrates and HOF structures. This study provides a fundamental understanding of guest‐induced ordered supramolecular assembly and paves the way for the advanced manufacture of high‐performance HOF membranes for gas separation processes. Vitrimer materials have machinability and stability because of their shape remodeling and self‐healing properties at high temperatures. This article reports the synthesis of epoxy resin using vanillin, p‐aminophenol, and epichlorohydrin as raw materials, and polyetheramine‐400 as a curing agent. To study the effect of free amine on the mechanical and self‐healing properties, two materials with epoxy and amine stoichiometric ratios of 1:1 and 1:1.2 were studied, respectively. The experimental results show that when the molar ratio of epoxy to amine stoichiometric is 1:1.2 (V1:1.2), the tensile strength of vitrimer materials can reach 5.4 MPa and the self‐healing efficiency can reach 99.5% after 6 h of healing at 120°C. When the molar ratio is 1:1 (V1:1), the obtained epoxy material has a higher tensile strength of 9.5 MPa. After 24 h of healing at 120°C, the self‐healing efficiency can reach 83.4%. In addition, epoxy vitrimer materials can be remodeled at 120°C, and the self‐healing and mechanical properties are not influenced after remodeling. Multigeometry nanoparticles with high complexity in composition and structure have attracted significant attention for enhanced functionality. We assess a simple but versatile strategy to construct hybrid nanoparticles with subdivided geometries through the cooperative assembly of diblock copolymer blends with asymmetric architectures. We report the formation of multicompartmental, vesicular, cylindrical, and spherical structures from pure AB systems. Then, we explore the assemblies of binary AB/AC blends, where the two incompatible, hydrophobic diblock copolymers subdivide into self-assembled local geometries, and the complexity of the obtained morphologies increases. We expand the strategy to ternary AB/AC/AD systems by tuning the effect of phase separation of different hydrophobic domains on the surface or internal region of the nanoparticle. The kinetic control of the coassembly in the initial stage is crucial for controlling the final morphology. The interactions of copolymers with different block lengths and chemistries enable the stabilization of interfaces, rims and ends of subdomains in the hybrid multigeometry nanoparticles. With further exploration of size and shape, the dependence of local geometry on the volume fraction is discussed. We show an efficient approach for controllable multigeometry nanoparticle construction that will be useful for multifunctional and hierarchical nanomaterials.
