Abstract Background To report a case of interface fluid syndrome (IFS) following traumatic corneal perforation repair after small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE). Case presentation A 23-year-old woman, with a past history of SMILE, was struck in the left eye with a barbecue prod and subsequently underwent corneal perforation repair at local hospital. Primary wound repaired with a single 10 − 0 nylon suture at the area of leakage. After the surgery, her best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was 20/30. Four days later, she presented at our hospital with blurred vision, and interface fluid syndrome (IFS) was diagnosed. Intraoperative optical coherence tomography (iOCT) was used to guide the resuturing of the corneal perforation in the left eye, followed by anterior chamber gas injection. At the first postoperative month, the BCVA was 20/25. The corneal cap adhered closely to the stroma, the surface became smooth. Conclusions This case illustrates that any corneal perforation following lamellar surgery, including SMILE, may lead to IFS. It is crucial to consider the depth of corneal perforation, and intraoperative optical coherence tomography (iOCT) plays a unique role in the repair procedure.

The straightness problem is one of the neck problems in the intelligent construction of the fully mechanized working face. The key to solve this problem is to obtain the position and posture of the scraper conveyor or hydraulic support group. At present, most of the research on the straightness of fully mechanized working face is to discuss the straightness of hydraulic support and scraper conveyor separately. There are problems such as high cost and difficulty in implementation. In order to solve this problem, based on virtual reality(VR) and digital twin(DT) technology, the method to solve the straightness problem of the fully mechanized working face is explored. The hydraulic support, floating connection mechanism and scraper conveyor are considered as a whole system. The straightness solution framework of the fully mechanized working face is built. There are mainly five steps: mechanism analysis, model construction, fusion deduction, reconstruction monitoring and predictive control. It is pointed out that the key to the analysis of the relative position relationship of the fully mechanized supporting equipment is the floating connection mechanism connecting the hydraulic support base and the scraper conveyor. According to the motion characteristics of the floating connection mechanism, it is simplified into a robot model and solved by forward and reverse motion. According to the real coal seam environment, the motion simulation model of fully mechanized mining support equipment based on joints is established in Unity3D, and the VR scene is constructed to realize virtual and real mapping. Through non-contact visual sensor, virtual sensor, virtual-real fusion and other technologies, the information of sensor and point cloud are fused to perform the position and posture deduction of support equipment. Using the technology of virtual and reality interaction, combined with a real physical scenario, a DT system is constructed to achieve virtual monitoring of the fully mechanized working face. The travel distance required to ensure straightness is predicted in the virtual scene and fed back to the physical scene for straightness control.

Minimally invasive endodontics (MIE) can preserve dental tissue to a greater extent and improve the success rate of endodontics and has thus attracted increasing attention. 3D printing is a technology that is based on a digital model and uses powdered metal, plastic and other materials to construct objects by printing layer by layer. This article reviews the application of 3D printing technology in minimally invasive endodontics to provide a reference for the application of 3D printing technology in clinical minimally invasive endodontics in the future. In recent years, 3D printing technology has been widely used in various professional fields of stomatology, such as maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics, and orthodontics. Using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and oral scanners to obtain accurate data on the internal and external structures of teeth combined with 3D printing to construct a tooth diagnostic model and pulp opening guide plate, we can accurately locate the position of the root canal and provide a new method for minimally invasive endodontics. At present, 3D printing technology is mainly used to guide the pulp opening pathway, assist in the minimally invasive treatment of malformed teeth and calcified root canals, and assist with apical surgery in the field of minimally invasive endodontics. However, its accuracy and clinical prognosis still need to be verified with a large number of clinical cases.

Damage to the cerebellar functional network may underlie anxiety symptoms in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Herein we investigated the regional homogeneity (ReHo) and functional connectivity (FC) patterns of cerebellar and clinical correlates in PD patients with anxiety and explored their clinical significance.

Using the damage editing theory,the random spectrum of road simulation test can be compiled to achieve the purpose of removing the small load and achieving the accelerated test. However,less literature dealed with the key technical issues of how to smoothly connect and reconstruct the retained payload fragments after the small payload is removed. In this paper,a random spectrum connection and reconstruction method based on signal windowing overlap is proposed. Comparing the effects of several common window functions on the connection reconstruction of measured random spectra,it is found that the Hanning window not only effectively solve the problem of smooth connection reconstruction of two-stage signals,but also does not introduce extreme load. Based on the measured load of a vehicle test field,combined with the time domain damage editing method,the experimental acceleration spectrum was constructed by using the Hanning window method. The validity and rationality of the windowed spectrum were analyzed from the amplitude and frequency domains. It is verified that the windowed spectrum completely retains the damage of the non-windowed spectrum and the power spectral density curves of the two are highly coincident. Finally,the vehicle simulation experiment is established by applying the accelerated spectrum. The experimental response spectrum is highly consistent with the target spectrum,and the effectiveness of the method is verified.

At present,the durability test specifications of whole vehicle road simulation bench generally copy the proving ground,which ignores the difference between loads of the two and results in unsatisfactory bench test results. So it is difficult to reproduce the durability test results of the proving ground. Based on the measured load data of proving ground and test bench. We studied the difference between the two. The equivalent transfer criterion of load from road condition to bench condition is formed by using the principle of equal damage,and the ‘proving ground-bench ’ load-damage equivalent relationship model was established. The Pareto optimal solution was obtained by using fast and elitist non-dominated sorting in genetic algorithms（ NSGA-Ⅱ） algorithm to solve the model. By optimizing the solution,the road condition cycle number of the road simulation test bench durability evaluation was obtained,and the test criterion of the whole vehicle bench durability was formulated. The bench test was carried out by the new specification. The comprehensive validation by damage and the cumulative distribution of load was carried out. The results showed that the criterion for evaluating the durability of the whole vehicle road simulation test bench obtained by the method was efficient and accurate,which can effectively reproduced the evaluation effect in the proving ground.

Abstract Background Resistance to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) has been linked to local immunosuppression independent of major ICI targets (e.g., PD-1). Clinical experience with response prediction based on PD-L1 expression suggests that other factors influence sensitivity to ICIs in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Methods Tumor specimens from 120 NSCLC patients from 10 institutions were evaluated for PD-L1 expression by immunohistochemistry, and global proliferative profile by targeted RNA-seq. Results Cell proliferation, derived from the mean expression of 10 proliferation-associated genes (namely BUB1, CCNB2, CDK1, CDKN3, FOXM1, KIAA0101, MAD2L1, MELK, MKI67, and TOP2A), was identified as a marker of response to ICIs in NSCLC. Poorly, moderately, and highly proliferative tumors were somewhat equally represented in NSCLC, with tumors with the highest PD-L1 expression being more frequently moderately proliferative as compared to lesser levels of PD-L1 expression. Proliferation status had an impact on survival in patients with both PD-L1 positive and negative tumors. There was a significant survival advantage for moderately proliferative tumors compared to their combined highly/poorly counterparts (p = 0.021). Moderately proliferative PD-L1 positive tumors had a median survival of 14.6 months that was almost twice that of PD-L1 negative highly/poorly proliferative at 7.6 months (p = 0.028). Median survival in moderately proliferative PD-L1 negative tumors at 12.6 months was comparable to that of highly/poorly proliferative PD-L1 positive tumors at 11.5 months, but in both instances less than that of moderately proliferative PD-L1 positive tumors. Similar to survival, proliferation status has impact on disease control (DC) in patients with both PD-L1 positive and negative tumors. Patients with moderately versus those with poorly or highly proliferative tumors have a superior DC rate when combined with any classification schema used to score PD-L1 as a positive result (i.e., TPS ≥ 50% or ≥ 1%), and best displayed by a DC rate for moderately proliferative tumors of no less than 40% for any classification of PD-L1 as a negative result. While there is an over representation of moderately proliferative tumors as PD-L1 expression increases this does not account for the improved survival or higher disease control rates seen in PD-L1 negative tumors. Conclusions Cell proliferation is potentially a new biomarker of response to ICIs in NSCLC and is applicable to PD-L1 negative tumors.

In this investigation, we leverage the combination of the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) Legacy Imaging Surveys Data Release 9, Survey Validation 3, and Year 1 data sets to estimate the conditional luminosity functions and conditional stellar mass functions (CLFs and CSMFs) of galaxies across various halo mass bins and redshift ranges. To support our analysis, we utilize a realistic DESI mock galaxy redshift survey (MGRS) generated from a high-resolution Jiutian simulation. An extended halo-based group finder is applied to both MGRS catalogs and DESI observation. By comparing the r- and z-band luminosity functions (LFs) and stellar mass functions (SMFs) derived using both photometric and spectroscopic data, we quantified the impact of photometric redshift (photo-z) errors on the galaxy LFs and SMFs, especially in the low-redshift bin at the low-luminosity/mass end. By conducting prior evaluations of the group finder using MGRS, we successfully obtain a set of CLF and CSMF measurements from observational data. We find that at low redshift, the faint-end slopes of CLFs and CSMFs below ∼109 h −2 L ⊙ (or h −2 M ⊙) evince a compelling concordance with the subhalo mass functions. After correcting the cosmic variance effect of our local Universe following Chen et al., the faint-end slopes of the LFs/SMFs turn out to also be in good agreement with the slope of the halo mass function.

Introduction Lipopolysaccharide (LPS), as the main component of cell wall of gram-negative bacteria, is released into the blood and leads to serious endotoxemia and hypoglycemic reaction. Clinical research data indicate [...], Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) results in a lethal hypoglycemic response. However, the main molecular mechanism involved in LPS-induced glucose metabolism disorder is poorly understood. This study intends to investigate the signaling pathways involved in LPS-induced hypoglycemia and potential efficacy of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) inhibitor SCH772984. The effects of LPS and SCH772984 on gluconeogenesis, glucose absorption, and glycogenolysis were evaluated by pyruvate tolerance test, oral glucose tolerance test, and glucagon test, respectively. After a single intraperitoneal injection of 0.5 mg/kg LPS, the mice's blood glucose levels and gluconeogenesis ability were significantly lower than that of control group. Besides, mRNA and protein expression of glucose-6-phosphatase (G6Pase) and phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK) decreased significantly after LPS treatment. LPS induced the phosphorylation of ERK1/2, MEK1/2 (mitogen-activated protein kinase), and Foxo1 while inhibited Foxo1 expression in the nucleus, indicating an important role of the MEK/ERK/Foxo1 signaling in the inhibition of gluconeogenesis by LPS. Furthermore, SCH772984 elevated blood glucose, increased the G6Pase and PEPCK expression, and inhibited pERK1/2 and pFoxo1 expression in LPS-induced mice. In summary, LPS inhibited gluconeogenesis and induced hypoglycemia through the MEK/ERK/Foxo1 signal pathway, and ERK inhibitor could effectively reverse decreased blood glucose in mice with LPS treatment.
