Abstract

This paper is centered on applying 3D omnidirectional scanning technology to design natural textured fabrics to explore its functionality in psychological healing. The therapeutic potential of fabric art has been widely recognized due to the prevalence of psychological stress in modern society. This study uses 3D omnidirectional scanning technology to scan knitted textures, optimize fabric texture models, and conduct experimental research and material development using elevation and lighting angles. The size, Angle, color, and other factors that affect the experiment of knitted materials were tested, and eight convenient materials were selected for psychological experiments. A two-week experiment was conducted to record and analyze changes in the psychological state of 30 subjects (15 men and 15 women). 2. Major autoantibodies in pemphigus: detection and clinical significance

Abstract

Pemphigus is a severe autoimmune disease causing damage of epidermis and mucosa. Patients can produce autoantibodies against structures like intercellular adhesion, which leads to disease. Main pathogenic antibodies include anti-Gsg1 and anti-Gsg3 which cause disease primarily through steric hindrance and signal transduction after antigen-antibody binding. Other antibodies such as anti-Dsc, anti-plakin family, anti-acetylcholine receptor etc. also play an important synergistic effect in the pathogenic process. With the popularization of immunofluorescence, ELISA and other technologies, antibody detection has become an important method for clinical diagnosis and monitoring of pemphigus. Couples of clinical studies have shown that the titers of anti-Dsg1 and Dsg3 antibodies are related to the activity of pemphigus disease, which can also indicate the recurrence of the disease and guide clinical medication. More mechanism research and clinical exploration of pemphigus autoantibodies will help us to cognize the disease further.

3. ChatTracer: Large Language Model Powered Real-time Bluetooth Device Tracking System

Abstract

Large language models (LLMs) have transformed the way we interact with cyber technologies. In this paper, we study the possibility of connecting LLM with wireless sensor networks (WSN). A successful design will not only extend LLM's knowledge landscape to the physical world but also revolutionize human interaction with WSN. To the end, we present ChatTracer, an LLM-powered real-time Bluetooth device tracking system. ChatTracer comprises three key components: an array of Bluetooth sniffing nodes, a database, and a fine-tuned LLM. ChatTracer was designed based on our experimental observation that commercial Apple/Android devices always broadcast hundreds of BLE packets per minute even in their idle status. Its novelties lie in two aspects: i) a reliable and efficient BLE packet grouping algorithm; and ii) an LLM fine-tuning strategy that combines both supervised fine-tuning (SFT) and reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF). We have built a prototype of ChatTracer with four sniffing nodes. Experimental results show that ChatTracer not only outperforms existing localization approaches, but also provides an intelligent interface for user interaction.

Abstract

This paper presents our submitted system to SemEval 2021 Task 4: Reading Comprehension of Abstract Meaning. Our system uses a large pre-trained language model as the encoder and an additional dual multi-head co-attention layer to strengthen the relationship between passages and question-answer pairs, following the current state-of-the-art model DUMA. The main difference is that we stack the passage-question and question-passage attention modules instead of calculating parallelly to simulate re-considering process. We also add a layer normalization module to improve the performance of our model. Furthermore, to incorporate our known knowledge about abstract concepts, we retrieve the definitions of candidate answers from WordNet and feed them to the model as extra inputs. Our system, called WordNet-enhanced DUal Multi-head Co-Attention (WN-DUMA), achieves 86.67% and 89.99% accuracy on the official blind test set of subtask 1 and subtask 2 respectively., Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures, SemEval-2021 Workshop, ACL-IJCNLP 2021

Abstract

In this manuscript, phosphine-dependent [3 + 3] and [4 + 3] annulation reactions of allenoate with aziridines were disclosed. The alkyldiphenylphosphine-promoted [4 + 3] annulation of allenoate with aziridines has been achieved under mild conditions, providing biologically interesting functionalized tetrahydroazepines in moderate to excellent yield with moderate to excellent regioselectivity and diastereoselectivity.

43. Increased neutrophil extracellular traps caused by diet‐induced obesity delay fracture healing.

Abstract

Obesity, recognized as a risk factor for nonunion, detrimentally impacts bone health, with significant physical and economic repercussions for affected individuals. Nevertheless, the precise pathomechanisms by which obesity impairs fracture healing remain insufficiently understood. Multiple studies have identified neutrophil granulocytes as key players in the systemic immune response, being the predominant immune cells in early fracture hematomas. This study identified a previously unreported critical period for neutrophil infiltration into the callus. In vivo experiments demonstrated that diet‐induced obesity (DIO) mice showed earlier neutrophil infiltration, along with increased formation of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), compared to control mice during the endochondral phase of fracture repair. Furthermore, Padi4 knockout was found to reduce NET formation and mitigate the fracture healing delays caused by high‐fat diets. Mechanistically, in vitro analyses revealed that NETs, by activating NLRP3 inflammasomes, inhibited the osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) and concurrently promoted M1‐like macrophage polarization. These findings establish a connection between NET formation during the endochondral phase and delayed fracture healing, suggesting that targeting NETs could serve as a promising therapeutic approach for addressing obesity‐induced delays in fracture recovery.
