Ticks are obligate blood-feeding arthropods that cause significant economic losses in domestic animal husbandry and threaten public health. However, information about soft ticks (Acari: Argasidae) and tick-borne pathogens in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) of China is scarce.

The standardized workflow of computer-aided static guided implant surgery includes preoperative examination, data acquisition, guide design, guide fabrication and surgery. Errors may occur at each step, leading to irreversible cumulative effects and thus impacting the accuracy of implant placement. However, clinicians tend to focus on factors causing errors in surgical operations, ignoring the possibility of irreversible errors in nonstandard guided surgery. Based on the clinical practice of domestic experts and research progress at home and abroad, this paper summarizes the sources of errors in guided implant surgery from the perspectives of preoperative inspection, data collection, guide designing and manufacturing and describes strategies to resolve errors so as to gain expert consensus. Consensus recommendation: 1. Preoperative considerations: the appropriate implant guide type should be selected according to the patient's oral condition before surgery, and a retaining screw-assisted support guide should be selected if necessary. 2. Data acquisition should be standardized as much as possible, including beam CT and extraoral scanning. CBCT performed with the patient’s head fixed and with a small field of view is recommended. For patients with metal prostheses inside the mouth, a registration marker guide should be used, and the ambient temperature and light of the external oral scanner should be reasonably controlled. 3. Optimization of computer-aided design: it is recommended to select a handle-guided planting system and a closed metal sleeve and to register images by overlapping markers. Properly designing the retaining screws, extending the support structure of the guide plate and increasing the length of the guide section are methods to feasibly reduce the incidence of surgical errors. 4. Improving computer-aided production: it is also crucial to set the best printing parameters according to different printing technologies and to choose the most appropriate postprocessing procedures.

This study uses the method of Audio-frequency magnetotelluric sounding (EH4) to detect and analyze the deep geological structure in the Donglifang mining area. The underground spatial electricity and structural characteristics were effectively determined. We built an EH4-based indicator system for localizing ore bodies and summarized the relationship between the apparent resistivity anomalies and the ore bodies in the EH4 profile. The shallow veined or columnar low-resistance bodies may correspond to the low–medium temperature hydrothermal gold, lead, and zinc polymetallic ore bodies; the columnar medium-resistance or medium–low resistance bodies correspond to the silica or porphyry copper–molybdenum polymetallic ore bodies; the medium-resistance bodies correspond to the medium acidic magmatic rocks (porphyrites and porphyries). We identified eleven concealed ore bodies in the deep of the mine area, five of which are consistent with the drill holes, and the remaining six have an excellent prospect of finding ore bodies. It is further inferred that larger-scale porphyry copper–molybdenum ore bodies are formed in the deep rock body. This study proves that the EH4 is an effective geophysical method for finding concealed rock (ore) bodies in the Dongxuofang copper-molybdenum polymetallic mine or this type of deposit.

In this study, we used the EH4 audio-magnetotelluric sounding, combining with the drilling data, to detect and define the spatial electrical properties and structural characteristics of the Qiaojia paleo-landslide. Based on the detection results, the average depth of the main sliding surface is considered to be 250 m and six faults (F1-F6) were identified, among which the Xiaojiang fault zone (F1) is the main active fault. Meanwhile, it is inferred from the sounding results and drill date that the terrace along the Jinsha River fall into four layers from the surface (Qh) to the deep, namely the sandy clay layer, gravel layer, broken limestone layer, and complete limestone bedrock. The broken limestone layer and the complete limestone bedrock are in the bedrock outcrop area from the surface to the deep. The comprehensive analysis shows that the paleo-landslide is temporarily stable at present, but along with large earthquake activity in the north section of Xiaojiang fault zone in the future, whether the paleo-landslide is likely to revive or similar paleo-landslides will reoccur in this region needs further study. Our study proved the effectiveness of the EH4 audio-magnetotelluric method in detecting gigantic paleo-landslide.

Cell lineage plasticity is one of the major causes for the failure of targeted therapies in various cancers. However, the driver and actionable drug targets in promoting cancer cell lineage plasticity are scarcely identified. Here, we found that a G protein-coupled receptor, ADORA2A, is specifically upregulated during neuroendocrine differentiation, a common form of lineage plasticity in prostate cancer and lung cancer following targeted therapies. Activation of the ADORA2A signaling rewires the proline metabolism via an ERK/MYC/PYCR cascade. Increased proline synthesis promotes deacetylases SIRT6/7-mediated deacetylation of histone H3 at lysine 27 (H3K27), and thereby biases a global transcriptional output toward a neuroendocrine lineage profile. Ablation of Adora2a in genetically engineered mouse models inhibits the development and progression of neuroendocrine prostate and lung cancers, and, intriguingly, prevents the adenocarcinoma-to-neuroendocrine phenotypic transition. Importantly, pharmacological blockade of ADORA2A profoundly represses neuroendocrine prostate and lung cancer growth in vivo.
