Based on the comparison of the five editions of the Dietary Guidelines, this article have extracted the health concepts that each edition of the dietary guidelines adheres to, including the concepts of reasonable match, energy balance and healthy weight, three reductions （reducing salt, fat and sugar） to prevent chronic non-communicable diseases, and also analyzes the updated and practical characteristics of the new edition of the Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents, including the Oriental Healthy Dietary Model, knowing how to cook and choose food, and enjoying of serving chopsticks and individual serving. On these basis, the author analyzed the practice of the balanced diet model based on the Chinese Food Guide Pyramid.

Investigations of water flow movements affected by vegetation is a research hotspot in vegetation ecological restoration. The theory and equations of the flow velocity distribution under the influence of rigid vegetation are relatively mature. This study proposes a new drag force equation that varies with the vegetation bending angle and a new analytical solution of the velocity profile. Comparisons between the model calculation and experimental data, results showed that this new proposed model produced accurate simulations for flow through flexible vegetation for various deflections. In addition, this analytical model was verified to be applicable to rigid vegetation without a bending angle. Moreover, the features of the parameters adopted in this analytical equation are discussed, and the empirical equation for these parameters are presented. This study further improves the research in the field of environmental fluid mechanics and can serve as a theoretical underpinning for the ecological restoration of river courses. Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) is associated with a high death rate and lacks a targeted therapy plan. The ratio of blood urea nitrogen to albumin, known as BAR, is a valuable method for assessing the outlook of various infectious diseases. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness of BAR in forecasting the outcome of individuals with SFTS. Four hundred and thirty‐seven patients with SFTS from two clinical centers were included in this study according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Clinical characteristics and test parameters of SFTS patients were analyzed between survival and fatal groups. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression and Cox regression suggested that BAR might serve as a standalone prognostic indicator for patients with SFTS in the initial phase (hazard ratio = 18.669, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 8.558–40.725, p < 0.001). And BAR had a better predictive effectiveness in clinical outcomes in patients with SFTS with an AUC of 0.832 (95% CI: 0.788–0.876, p < 0.001), a cutoff value of 0.19, a sensitivity of 0.812, and a specificity of 0.726 compared to C‐reactive protein, procalcitonin, and platelet to lymphocyte ratio via receiver operating characteristic curve. KM (Kaplan Meier) curves demonstrated that high level of BAR was associated with poor survival condition in patients with SFTS. Furthermore, the high level of BAR was associated with long hospital stays and test paraments of kidney, liver, and coagulation function in survival patients. So, BAR could be used as a promising early warning biomarker of adverse outcomes in patients with SFTS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Metallurgical slag such as solid waste generated in the steel industry carries environmental pollution risks, but it is rich in nutrients required by microalgae. Metallurgical slag used for carbon capture and biomass energy conversion has multiple benefits: (i) reduction and harmless treatment of metallurgical solid waste, (ii) assisting in carbon neutrality by efficient carbon fixation, and (iii) production of biodiesel from CO2. In this study, AOD, BOF, BFS, HVS, and VTS slag were applied to culture Chlorella pyrenoidosa (C. pyrenoidosa) with the regulation of growth, carbon fixation, and lipid synthesis. An excellent fixed amount of CO2 with 94.59 mg is obtained from C. pyrenoidosa biomass at BOF slag added (mass ratio of CO2 captured/microalgae/slag with 1.99/1.00/10.53) since high Ca/Mg mass ratio of 419 (8.38 mg/L Ca and 0.02 mg/L Mg), no Cr and low concentration of Al (0.04 mg/L) contribute to regulating antioxidant enzyme activity (SOD and POD) to resist ROS and improving PEPC activity to reduce carbon flux toward lipid to promote biomass synthesis. Both metal concentrations from Ca (5.86 mg/L), Mg (0.05 mg/L), Al (0.42 mg/L), and Cr (0.006 mg/L) and suitable pH (10.53) in AOD leaching solution at solid/liquid ratio of 0.5 g/L change carbon flow toward efficient lipid synthesis (47.07 wt%) by continuously providing raw materials and energy by regulating ACC, ME, and PEPC activities. High value‐added biodiesel with high concentrations of C16 and C18 methyl esters from lipid of C. pyrenoidosa is achieved, following other ecological and economic benefits including 197 mg CO2 captured and 2198 mg AOD applied with harmless. In this study, C. pyrenoidosa is cultured with elements from metallurgical slag solid waste, which promotes C. pyrenoidosa efficient carbon fixation to assist in carbon neutrality, and provides guidance for CO2 conversion to high‐value‐added products with low cost. Surface flow redistribution on flat ground from crusted bare soil to vegetated patches following intense rainfall events elevates plant available water above that provided by rainfall. The significance of this surface water redistribution to sustaining vegetation in arid and semiarid regions is undisputed. What is disputed is the quantity and spatial distribution of the redistributed water. In ecohydrological models, such nonuniform flows are described using the Saint-Venant equation (SVE) subject to a Manning roughness coefficient closure. To explore these assumptions in the most idealized setting, flume experiments were conducted using rigid cylinders representing rigid vegetation with varying density. Flow was induced along the streamwise x direction by adjusting the free water surface height H(x) between the upstream and downstream boundaries mimicking the nonuniformity encountered in nature. In natural settings, such H(x) variations arise due to contrasts in infiltration capacity and ponded depths during storms. The measured H(x) values in the flume were interpreted using the SVE augmented with progressively elaborate approximations to the roughness representation. The simplest approximation employs a friction factor derived from a drag coefficient (Cd) for isolated cylinders in a locally (but not globally) uniform flow and upscaled using the rod density that was varied across experiments. Comparison between measured and modeled H(x) suggested that such a "naive" approach overpredicts H(x). Blockage was then incorporated into the SVE model calculations but resulted in underestimation of H(x). Biases in modeled H(x) suggest that Cd must be varying in x beyond what a local or bulk Reynolds number predicts. Inferred Cd(x) from the flume experiments exhibited a near-parabolic shape most peaked in the densest canopy cases. The outcome of such Cd(x) variations is then summarized in a bulk resistance formulation that may be beneficial to modeling runon-runoff processes on shallow slopes using SVE.

Multiphysics coupling simulations are of great importance and challenge in engineering and industrial applications. A new efficient full‐wave energy‐conservative projection method between two heterogeneous meshes is proposed in this article, for the analysis of electromagnetic‐thermal‐stress coupling in the printed circuit boards (PCBs) and antenna arrays. The projected variables are directly chosen as the electric fields instead of conventional thermal sources, and a scalable domain decomposition method is used to solve the projection problems. In addition, a bounding‐box algorithm and the spatial K‐dimensional Tree searching algorithm are developed for physical quantity projection between the two heterogeneous meshes. A series of numerical analysis of the electromagnetic‐thermal‐stress coupling process are conducted. In particular, a realistic PCB example is presented, where 144 CPU cores are used and two heterogeneous meshes of over 20 million grids are constructed. A realistic antenna array with 10 000 units is also presented, where 1200 CPU cores are used and two heterogeneous meshes of over 100 million grids are constructed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
