Objective： This study aimed to provide a basis for the post-harvest storage and preservation of fresh shoots from bamboo (Chimonobambusa quadrangularis). Methods: Fresh bamboo shoots were fumigated with 500 μL/L anhydrous ethanol and 0.1 mmol/L MeJA, and distilled water was used as blank control (CK) to determine the storage period, i. e. temperature (1.0±0.3) ℃ and relative humidity (90±5)%. The respiratory intensity, hardness, browning index, soluble protein, and activity of PAL, POD, PPO and APX were detected. The quality differences of fresh bamboo shoots during storage were analyzed using principal component analysis. Results: Combined fumigation treatment can reduce the increase of hardness and browning index of fresh bamboo shoots during storage, maintain the contents of total flavonoids and soluble protein, induce the changes of APX, POD, PAL and PPO enzyme activities, and delay lignification and browning. As stored for 60 days, the principal component analysis of combined fumigation was higher than that of other treatments. Conclusion: Compound fumigation can better maintain the quality of bamboo shoots during storage.

A similar pair of protonated and deprotonated mononuclear oxidovanadium glycolates [VO(Hglyc)(phen)(H2O)]Cl·2H2O (1) and [VO(glyc)(bpy)(H2O)] (2) and a mixed-(de)protonated oxidovanadium triglycolate (NH4)2[VO(Hglyc)2(glyc)]·H2O (3) were isolated and examined. The ≡C-O(H) (≡C-OH or ≡C-O) groups coordinated to vanadium were spectroscopically and structurally identified. The glycolate in 1 features a bidentate chelation through protonated α-hydroxy and α-carboxy groups, whereas the glycolate in 2 coordinates through deprotonated α-alkoxy and α-carboxy groups. The glycolates in 3 coordinate to vanadium through α-alkoxy or α-hydroxy and α-carboxy groups and thus have both protonated ≡C-OH and deprotonated ≡C-O bonds simultaneously. Structural investigations revealed that the longer protonated V-Oα-hydroxy bonds [2.234(2) Å and 2.244(2) Å] in 1 and 3 are close to those of FeV-cofactor (FeV-co) 2.17 Å1 (FeMo-co 2.17 Å2), while deprotonated V-Oα-alkoxy bonds [2, 1.930(2); 3, 1.927(2) Å] were obviously shorter. This shows a similar elongated trend as the Mo-O distances in the previously reported deprotonated vs protonated molybdenum lactates (Wang, S. Y. et al. Dalton Trans. 2018, 47, 7412-7421) and these vanadium and molybdenum complexes have the same local V/Mo-homocitrate structures as those of FeV/Mo-cos of nitrogenases. The IR spectra of these oxidovanadium and the previously synthesized molybdenum complexes including different substituted ≡C-O(H) model compounds show red-shifts for ≡C-OH vs ≡C-O alternation, which further assign the two IR bands of extracted FeMo-co at 1084 and 1031 cm-1 to ≡C-O and ≡C-OH vibrations, respectively. Although the structural data or IR spectra for some of the previously synthesized Mo/V complexes and extracted FeMo-co were measured earlier, this is the first time that the ≡C-O(H) coordinated peaks are assigned. The overall structural and IR results well suggest the coexistence of homocitrates coordinated with α-alkoxy (deprotonated) and α-hydroxy (protonated) groups in the extracted FeMo-co.

Dysbiosis of the gut microbiota has been implicated in hypertension, and drug–host–microbiome interactions have drawn considerable attention. However, the influence of angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB)‐shaped gut microbiota on the host is not fully understood. In this work, we assessed the alterations of blood pressure (BP), vasculatures, and intestines following ARB‐modified gut microbiome treatment and evaluated the changes in the intestinal transcriptome and serum metabolome in hypertensive rats. Hypertensive patients with well‐controlled BP under ARB therapy were recruited as human donors, spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs) receiving normal saline or valsartan were considered animal donors, and SHRs were regarded as recipients. Histological and immunofluorescence staining was used to assess the aorta and small intestine, and 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing was performed to examine gut bacteria. Transcriptome and metabonomic analyses were conducted to determine the intestinal transcriptome and serum metabolome, respectively. Notably, ARB‐modified fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), results in marked decreases in systolic BP levels, collagen deposition and reactive oxygen species accumulation in the vasculature, and alleviated intestinal structure impairments in SHRs. These changes were linked with the reconstruction of the gut microbiota in SHR recipients post‐FMT, especially with a decreased abundance of Lactobacillus, Aggregatibacter, and Desulfovibrio. Moreover, ARB‐treated microbes contributed to increased intestinal Ciart, Per1, Per2, Per3, and Cipc gene levels and decreased Nfil3 and Arntl expression were detected in response to ARB‐treated microbes. More importantly, circulating metabolites were dramatically reduced in ARB‐FMT rats, including 6beta‐Hydroxytestosterone and Thromboxane B2. In conclusion, ARB‐modified gut microbiota exerts protective roles in vascular remodeling and injury, metabolic abnormality and intestinal dysfunctions, suggesting a pivotal role in mitigating hypertension and providing insights into the cross‐talk between antihypertensive medicines and the gut microbiome. The 1H and 13C NMR signals of a novel carbazole-isatin based bis-thiocarbohydrozone derivative 2, 1-[(3Z)-2-oxoindoline-3-ylidene]-5-[(9-hexyl-3-carbazolyl)ylidene]thiocarbohydrazone, were assigned, and the structure of the compound was confirmed.

In order to realize comprehensive and massive treatment of boron mud secondary resource, fundamental study on boron mud applied to oxidized pellets production as additive was carried out in the paper under laboratory conditions. The effects of boron mud on the performance of oxidized pellets were investigated systemically, and boron mud was combined with other boron-rich material innovatively. The results showed that, within certain limits, boron mud can improve properties of oxidized pellets. The bentonite content decreased to 0.3 % when adding 1.0 % boron mud additive and the pellets met blast furnace requirements. With the combination additive content 0.8 %, bentonite content can be further decreased to 0.2 %, and the pellets properties were better than base pellet. Therefore, it was an effective way to reduce environmental pollution and optimize blast furnace operation by developing boron mud secondary resource as pellets additive.
