Background: Effective prevention and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) necessitates the identification of lesions within the complex pelvic floor muscle (PFM) groups associated with various symptoms. Here, we developed a multi-region pelvic floor muscle functional diagnosis system (MPDS) based on an inflatable stretchable electrode array, which aids in accurately locating areas related to PFD. Methods: Clinical diagnostic experiments were conducted on 56 patients with postpartum stress urinary incontinence (PSUI) and 73 postpartum asymptomatic controls. MPDS collects pelvic floor electromyography from all participants. By assessing EMG parameters such as activation time differences (ATD) and using Jensen–Shannon (JS) divergence to verify, with the aim of locating target muscle groups with functional abnormalities. Results: Clinical test results showed that by observing the AT sequence of the PSUI group and the control group, muscle groups with functional abnormalities in the Pubococcygeus muscle (PC) and Puborectalis muscle (PR) regions could be preliminarily diagnosed. In the assessment of regional muscle contribution values based on JS divergence, it was verified that the contribution values of rapid contraction in the PC and PR regions of the PSUI group were relatively lower compared to those of the control group, which correlated with urinary control dysfunction. Conclusions: These experiments demonstrate that the MPDS helps in accurately locating target muscle groups with functional abnormalities, showcasing its potential in precise assessment of complex muscle groups such as PFM, which may improve diagnostic precision and reliability. Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS), characterized by chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH), is an independent risk factor for aggravating non‐alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). The prevailing mouse model employed in CIH research is inadequate for the comprehensive exploration of the impact of CIH on NASH development due to reduced food intake observed in CIH‐exposed mice, which deviates from human responses. To address this issue, a pair‐feeding investigation with CIH‐exposed and normoxia‐exposed mice is conducted. It is revealed that CIH exposure aggravates DNA damage, leading to hepatic fibrosis and inflammation. The analysis of genome‐wide association study (GWAS) data also discloses the association between Eepd1, a DNA repair enzyme, and OSAS. Furthermore, it is revealed that CIH triggered selective autophagy, leading to the autophagic degradation of Eepd1, thereby exacerbating DNA damage in hepatocytes. Notably, Eepd1 liver‐specific knockout mice exhibit aggravated hepatic DNA damage and further progression of NASH. To identify a therapeutic approach for CIH‐induced NASH, a drug screening is conducted and it is found that Retigabine dihydrochloride suppresses CIH‐mediated Eepd1 degradation, leading to alleviated DNA damage in hepatocytes. These findings imply that targeting CIH‐mediated Eepd1 degradation can be an adjunctive approach in the treatment of NASH exacerbated by OSAS. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of cevimeline as a pharmacotherapeutic approach to stimulating gland activity in improving the symptoms and signs of primary Sjögren syndrome (pSS). Methods Sixty-three patients diagnosed with pSS who attended the Affiliated Huai'an Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from January 2018 to September 2019 were included in this trial. They were randomly assigned to the therapeutic group and control group. All patients were recalled at baseline and after 2 weeks, 3 months and 6 months. Measurement of salivary and lacrimal flow as well as evaluation of subjective symptoms was performed at the follow-up. Results Fifty-eight patients completed the trial and were included in the statistical analysis. There was a significant difference between the two groups in the measurement of salivary and lacrimal flow at the second week and third month (P < 0.05). Improvement in subjective symptoms of oral, ocular and gland was detected at the third month (P < 0.05). At the sixth month, compared with the control group, only the salivary gland symptom score of the treatment group was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Cevimeline has good specificity and safety and can increase salivary and lacrimal flow and improve subjective symptoms of pSS in a short time.

The pre-trained language model based on Transformers possesses exceptional general text-understanding capabilities, empowering it to adeptly manage a variety of tasks. However, the topic classification ability of the pre-trained language model will be seriously affected in the face of long colloquial texts, expressions with similar semantics but completely different expressions, and text errors caused by partial speech recognition. We propose a long-text topic classification method called RQ-OSPTrans to effectively address these challenges. To this end, two parallel learning modules are proposed to learn long texts, namely, the repeat question module and the overall semantic perception module. The overall semantic perception module will conduct average pooling on the semantic embeddings produced by BERT, in addition to multi-layer perceptron learning. The repeat question module will learn the text-embedding matrix, extracting detailed clues for classification based on words as fundamental elements. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate that RQ-OSPTrans can achieve a generalization performance of 98.5% on the Chinese dataset THUCNews. Moreover, RQ-OSPTrans can achieve state-of-the-art performance on the arXiv-10 dataset (84.4%) and has a comparable performance with other state-of-the-art pre-trained models on the AG's News dataset. Finally, the results indicate that our method exhibits a superior performance compared with the baseline methods on small-scale domain-specific datasets by validating RQ-OSPTrans on a specific task scenario by using our custom-built dataset CCIPC. Teaching gesture recognition is a technique used to recognize the hand movements of teachers in classroom teaching scenarios. This technology is widely used in education, including for classroom teaching evaluation, enhancing online teaching, and assisting special education. However, current research on gesture recognition in teaching mainly focuses on detecting the static gestures of individual students and analyzing their classroom behavior. To analyze the teacher's gestures and mitigate the difficulty of single-target dynamic gesture recognition in multi-person teaching scenarios, this paper proposes skeleton-based teaching gesture recognition (ST-TGR), which learns through spatio-temporal representation. This method mainly uses the human pose estimation technique RTMPose to extract the coordinates of the keypoints of the teacher's skeleton and then inputs the recognized sequence of the teacher's skeleton into the MoGRU action recognition network for classifying gesture actions. The MoGRU action recognition module mainly learns the spatio-temporal representation of target actions by stacking a multi-scale bidirectional gated recurrent unit (BiGRU) and using improved attention mechanism modules. To validate the generalization of the action recognition network model, we conducted comparative experiments on datasets including NTU RGB+D 60, UT-Kinect Action3D, SBU Kinect Interaction, and Florence 3D. According to rapid assessment requirement of system protection control strategy adaptability in future operation mode, combining with application status of distributed computing for power system security and stability analysis, based on design idea of asynchronism and concurrency, this paper proposes a multi-scheme concurrent computing framework suitable for coarse-grained case parallelism. By the way of multi-data section parallel, the asynchronous and concurrent scheduling management of computing task of multiple application functions under different sections is realized, which effectively improves the utilization rate of computing resources and significantly reduces the computing period of advance evaluation of system protection control strategy adaptability. The technology has been applied in provincial power grid and its effectiveness has been verified.
