Paederus, belonging to the Coleoptera and Staphylinidae, can prevent cell mitosis and inhibit tumors. However, few studies exist on the mechanism of Paederus on inhibiting the growth of tumors. Consequently, the present study used network pharmacology, molecular docking and in vitro experiments explore the anti-Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) mechanism of Paederus. Methods: Network pharmacology was used to predict the potential mechanisms through which Paederus acts against HCC. Therefore, the active compounds of Paederus were retrieved from the CNKI, Wanfang, PubMed and Web of Science databases. The targets for the active compounds were obtained from the Targetnet database, then the common targets and signaling pathways were obtained by Protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analysis, Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes. Thereafter, the compound-target and target-pathway networks were constructed. Finally, in vitro experiments using the SMMC-7721 HCC cells were used to further verify the predicted anti-HCC mechanism of Paederus. Results: The study screened 40 active compounds from Paederus, and 26 targets related to the anti-HCC mechanism of Paederus were predicted through network pharmacology. These targets were involved in the Nod-like receptor, MAPK, PI3K- Akt, TNF and AMPK signaling pathways. In addition, cell experiments showed that Paederus reduce the proliferation rate of SMMC-7721 HCC cells. Moreover, Paederus could down-regulated the expressions of the HSP90AA1, IRAK-4 and CTSB proteins in the Nod-like receptor signaling pathways in SMMC-7721 HCC cells. Conclusion: The study revealed the potential mechanism through which Paederus acts against HCC by combining network pharmacology, molecular docking, and experimental verification.

This paper studies the $ {H_\infty } $ H ∞ filtering problem for a class of discrete-time semi-Markov switching repeated scalar nonlinear systems with an event-triggered scheme. Considering the limitation of bandwidth, the mode-dependent event-triggered mechanism is introduced to determine whether the currently sampled sensor data is transmitted to the filter, in which the parameters of the event generator depend on the system mode. By means of a constructed time-varying Lyapunov function, the two stages of the systems jump instant and mode residence are analysed, and a linear matrix inequality technique is used to ensure the mean-square stability and $ {H_\infty } $ H ∞ performance of the filter error system. Accordingly, the co-design method of the mode-dependent time-varying filter and the event-triggered mechanism is derived for semi-Markov switching systems. Finally, a numerical simulation is given to illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the method proposed in this paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the dramatic opening-up of network, network security becomes a severe social problem with the rapid development of network technology. Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is an innovative and proactive network security technology, which becomes a hot topic in both industry and academia in recent years. There are four main characteristics of intrusion data that affect the performance of IDS including multicomponent, data imbalance, time-varying and unknown attacks. We propose a novel IDS framework called HMLD to address these issues, which is an exquisite designed framework based on Hybrid Multi-Level Data Mining. In this paper, we use KDDCUP99 dataset to evaluate the performance of HMLD. The experimental results show that HMLD can reach 96.70% accuracy which is nearly 1% higher than the recent proposed optimal algorithm SVM+ELM+Modified K-Means. A conventional absolute encoder consists of multiple tracks and therefore has a large size. Based on the theory of shared control, a new kind of absolute encoder called the shared track Gray encoder is proposed. This encoder has only one track, and the code has the characteristics of Gray code. In this paper, first the working principle of the encoder is introduced and the existence condition of the codes for the shared track Gray encoder is derived. Then the search procedure for the codes using selfdeveloped assembler programs is given. Finally, the pattern of the encoder is presented. Since the shared track Gray encoder has only one track and the code is progressive, it is much smaller in size and higher in accuracy than a conventional one.
