With the prevalence of values and the advent of the idea of rationalist education, the values characteristic of distinct subjectivity and affectiveness face many theoretical and practical problems when taught within the framework of modern education, which seeks certainty of knowledge. The challenges that values education encounters in today's world urgently demand that we return to the origins of human spiritual life. We must be informed by the Marxist disclosure of the intrinsic value of human existence, and grasp the intrinsic isomorphism between values education and human existence within the web of original and historical dialectic relations by relying on a complementary understanding of values and the essence of education: real men possess a logic of existence that endows value independence and consciousness of edification, and on the basis of the nature of the value of human existence, values education obtains a solid foundation both in the sense of fact and of value. Human existence thus displays the value content of self-selection, self-edification, and self-improvement peculiar to it due to its mutual dependence on and fulfillment of values education.

Panel-type radiator plays an important role in the heat dissipation of oil-immersed transformers. To study the influence of structural parameters of panel-type radiator on its heat dissipation performance, the multi-variable design matrix is designed by using the Box-Behnken design (BBD) method. These three key parameters (the height of the panel-type radiator, the number of weld passes, and the difference of the weld pass height) are used as independent variables, and the heat dissipation and flow resistance are the response values. STAR-CCM+ is used for numerical simulation of the model and corresponding response results are obtained. Based on the variance analysis of heat dissipation and flow resistance of the model, a quadratic regression model is obtained to analyze the interaction effects of the height of the radiator and the number of passes on heat dissipation and flow resistance. Finally, the desirability approach is used to optimize the parameters of the dispersion and determine the optimal structural parameters. The results show that the predicted values and simulation results are distributed around the regression line. The error between the predicted and simulation results is within 10%, which meets the requirements of engineering design. The increase in the height of panel-type radiator and the number of weld passes leads to an increase in heat dissipation and flow resistance, but the sensitivity of heat dissipation and flow resistance to panel-type radiator height is higher than the number of weld passes. The panel-type radiator has the best heat dissipation performance when the values of the panel-type height, the number of weld passes, and the difference of weld passes height are 2 483 mm, 6, and 60 mm respectively.

All-solid-state batteries suffer from a loss of contact between the electrode and electrolyte particles, leading to poor cyclability. Here, a void-free ion-permeable interface between the solid-state polymer electrolyte and electrode is constructed in situ during cycling using charge/discharge voltage as the stimulus. During the charge-discharge, the permeation phase fills the voids at the interface and penetrates the electrode, forming strong bonds with the cathode and effectively mitigating the contact problem. Our all-solid-state potassium ion polymer batteries maintain high Coulombic efficiency more than 2000 cycles at a high operating voltage of 4.5 volt and stably cycle more than 500 cycles even at 4.6 volt. Our rational design for mitigating the contact problem is versatile, as demonstrated by the scalability of all-solid-state graphite-based polymer potassium-ion pouch cells and all-solid-state lithium-ion polymer batteries. Abstract All‐solid‐state polymer lithium‐ion batteries are ideal choice for the next generation of rechargeable lithium‐ion batteries due to their high energy, safety and flexibility. Among all polymer electrolytes, PEO‐based polymer electrolytes have attracted extensive attention because they can dissolve various lithium salts. However, the ionic conductivity of pure PEO‐based polymer electrolytes is limited due to high crystallinity and poor segment motion. An inorganic filler SiO2 nanospheres and a plasticizer Succinonitrile (SN) are introduced into the PEO matrix to improve the crystallization of PEO, promote the formation of amorphous region, and thus improve the movement of PEO chain segment. Herein, a PEO18−LiTFSI−5 %SiO2−5 %SN composite solid polymer electrolyte (CSPE) was prepared by solution‐casting. The high ionic conductivity of the electrolyte was demonstrated at 60 °C up to 3.3×10−4 S cm−1. Meanwhile, the electrochemical performance of LiFePO4/CSPE/Li all‐solid‐state battery was tested, with discharge capacity of 157.5 mAh g−1 at 0.5 C, and capacity retention rate of 99 % after 100 cycles at 60 °C. This system provides a feasible strategy for the development of efficient all‐solid‐state lithium‐ion batteries.

This study aimed to examine the relationships between dietary patterns and perceived stress with memory deficits in 291 patients with heart failure aged 45–85 years. A total of 142 (48.8%) patients reported memory deficit. Three dietary patterns were identified by K-means clustering: nut-fruit-dairy, meat-processed, and traditional (high intake of cereals) diets. Compared to the traditional diet, the nut-fruit-dairy diet and meat-processed diet were associated with lower levels of deficits in short-term memory, delayed memory, and overall memory. What's more, perceived stress was positively associated with deficits in short-term memory and overall memory, but the association was only found in patients adhering to the traditional diet using stratified analyses. Our findings suggest that adhering to a healthy diet may be conducive to improving deficits in short-term memory, delayed memory, and overall memory, while also buffering the adverse association between perceived stress and deficits in short-term memory and overall memory. Objective: This study aimed to investigate how short‐term changes (1‐, 3‐, and 5‐year) in obesity measures affect mortality and cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. Methods: We analyzed longitudinal data from the MJ Health Centre (n = 43,304 for the 1‐year study; 24,295 for the 3‐year study; 16,138 for the 5‐year study) with median follow‐up periods of 15.8, 13.9, and 12.3 years, respectively. Associations of short‐term obesity indices changes with mortality and Framingham Risk Score changes were explored using time‐dependent coefficient Cox regression models, restricted cubic splines, and multivariable linear regression models. Results: All‐cause mortality was negatively associated with short‐term weight and BMI changes, with greater reductions causing poorer outcomes. Compared with stable groups, short‐term reduced weight and BMI were associated with greater risks of all‐cause mortality and CVD‐specific mortality (5‐year study only). Also, either 1‐ and 3‐year reduced or 3‐year increased waist circumference and waist to height ratio were related to higher all‐cause and CVD deaths than stable groups, respectively. Nonlinear relationships indicated lower cutoff values for short‐term changes in obesity indices in predicting all‐cause mortality. Decreased obesity indices significantly improved CVD profiles. Conclusions: Short‐term changes in obesity indices show complex mortality risks, urging personalized approaches beyond a simple weight loss focus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the levels of nurses' organizational citizenship behaviour and the associations between job burnout and ethical climate with organizational citizenship behaviour. Background: Organizational citizenship behaviour improves adverse outcomes led by nursing shortage. However, the associations between three dimensions of job burnout and organizational citizenship behaviour are inconsistent, and little is known about whether ethical climate is related to organizational citizenship behaviour in nurses. Methods: In this cross‐sectional study, 1157 nurses were selected using convenience sampling from April to October 2019. Self‐report surveys assessed nurses' organizational citizenship behaviour, emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment and perceptions of ethical climate. Results: Mean organizational citizenship behaviour was high among nurses. The regression model showed that job burnout and ethical climate explained an additional 38.6% of the variance in organizational citizenship behaviour over and above sociodemographic factors, with 44.9% of the total variance. Conclusion: Nurses' organizational citizenship behaviour was at a relatively high level. Depersonalization was negatively associated with organizational citizenship behaviour while personal accomplishment and ethical climate were positively related to organizational citizenship behaviour. Therefore, nurse leaders are encouraged to take measures to help nurses reduce job burnout and create a favourable ethical climate for increasing nurses' organizational citizenship behaviour. Organizational citizenship behaviour has been found to have positive effects for both nurses and hospitals.Contrasting findings have been found for the relationships between emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and organizational citizenship behaviour in different populations.Personal accomplishment is negatively associated with organizational citizenship behaviour in non‐nurse groups. Recent growth in research on assessment has focused on the importance of university students' assessment literacy, yet few studies have investigated how self and peer assessment combined with scaffolding can develop student assessment literacy. To address this, we developed scaffolding self and peer assessment (SSPA) as an intervention to build student assessment literacy. A quasi-experimental design was implemented to test its usefulness; one class (N = 21) received the intervention and the other (N = 23) did not. The findings indicated that SSPA had a positive effect on the trainee translators' assessment literacy levels. Consistent across the time points, the intervention group demonstrated significant improvements in self and peer feedback provision. In contrast, no such trend was noticed among the non-intervention group. The intervention group also significantly outperformed the non-intervention group in translation performance. Students were generally positive about SSPA, showing its feasibility in translation instruction. This study highlights the role that teacher scaffolding can play in helping trainee translators develop assessment literacy to meet language service industry requirements. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim: In this study, a person‐centred approach was used to analyse career success profiles and explore the associated psychosocial factors among nurses. Design: A cross‐sectional study was conducted from 15 April to 15 October 2019. Methods: A total of 1155 registered Chinese nurses were recruited from two general hospitals using convenience sampling. Participants completed a printed questionnaire, including the Maslach Burnout Inventory, Stress of Conscience Questionnaire, Practice Environment Scale, and Career Success Scale. Latent profile analysis and multinomial logistic regression were performed. The data were analysed with Mplus 8.3 and SPSS version 26.0. Results: Three latent profiles of career success were identified: high, moderate and low. Nurses with lower educational levels, more years of work experience, lower emotional exhaustion, higher personal achievement, lower stress of conscience and higher participation in hospital affairs were more likely to have higher career success than the other profiles. Conclusions: Burnout, stress of conscience, practice environment, educational level and years of work experience were associated with career success among nurses. Targeting interventions may help enhance nurses' career success. Future research should combine subjective and objective indicators (salary, title and so on) to assess career success and explore other determinants for formulating interventions to enhance nurses' career success. Impact The heterogeneity and psychosocial factors associated with nurses' career success provide valuable evidence for the formulation of individualized interventions. Nursing managers should understand the importance of career success, develop interventions to reduce nurses' burnout and stress of conscience, and improve the practice environment to enhance their career success. Recently, high-performance self-healing electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials with superior electrical conductivity, excellent shielding efficiency, and effective self-repairing ability have gained great attention. However, the practical development of such systems still encounters considerable challenges. In this study, a highly efficient EMI shielding self-healing nanocomposite system composed of multiple components of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), graphene nanosheets (GNSs), and Fe3O4 nanoparticles was developed by integrating a novel amphiphilic poly-(ethylene glycol)-block-poly-(caprolactone-co-furfuryl glycidyl ether) block copolymer (PEG-b-PCLF) with 1,1′-(methylenedi-4,1-phenylene)-bismaleimide and nanofillers via Diels–Alder (DA) chemistry and molecular affinity. Within this composite system, MWCNTs were distributed within the GNSs and served as connecting bridges across adjacent GNSs. Simultaneously, Fe3O4 nanoparticles were uniformly interspersed in the space around the MWCNT/GNS staggered framework due to good affinity with the hydrophilic PEG block, thereby forming MWCNT/GNS/Fe3O4 tricontinuous networks. Upon heating, the retro-DA mechanisms endowed the material system with excellent reprocessability and self-repairability. More importantly, the MWCNT/GNS/Fe3O4 tricontinuous networks not only provided efficient channels for charge transport but also served as an electromagnetic framework that synergistically endowed the material system with excellent EMI shielding properties. Accordingly, a favorable electrical conductivity of 18.5 S m–1 and an extremely high shielding effectiveness of 92.7 dB in the X-band were achieved. Additionally, the material system also possessed sufficient performances in the recovery of mechanical properties and shielding efficiency after repair, thereby leading to a prolonged service life. This study offers a promising strategy for the effective integration of multiple electromagnetic nanofillers into a self-healing polymeric system, which leads to highly efficient electrical and EMI shielding properties as well as remarkable self-repairability. Aims: To compare levels of nurse burnout across eastern and western cultures, as well as examine the influence of burnout on patient safety cross‐culturally. Design: Comparative cross‐sectional study. Methods: Survey data were collected from nurses between August and October 2017 in Australia (n = 730) and between April and October 2019 in China (n = 1107). Variables included burnout (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment), nurse leadership and support, staffing and resource adequacy, and perceived patient safety. Data were analysed separately for each jurisdiction using bootstrapped hierarchical regressions, which tested the relationships between burnout indicators and patient safety, controlling for support resources. Results: Emotional exhaustion and depersonalization scores were significantly higher in the Australian sample compared with the Chinese sample. Australian participants reported significantly lower patient safety grades than Chinese participants and were less likely to agree that support resources were present in their current job. Separate regressions indicated that patient safety was significantly associated with staffing and resource adequacy, nurse leadership and support, and depersonalization among Australian participants (30% of variance explained in the final regression model), while staffing and resource adequacy, nurse leadership and support, personal accomplishment and emotional exhaustion predicted patient safety for Chinese participants (22% of variance explained in the final model). Conclusion: Australian nurses are at greater risk of burnout than Chinese nurses. Burnout dimensions are differentially associated with patient safety across cultures. Culturally relevant interventions may be more optimal than universal approaches for improving burnout and patient safety in nursing. Impact: This study increased understanding of cross‐cultural differences in nurse burnout and the relationship with patient safety. Australian nurses were at greater risk of burnout than Chinese nurses. Emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal accomplishment influenced patient safety distinctively across the countries. Background Previous studies have shown that subjective social status (SSS) was positively associated with well-being in various populations. However, little is known about the relationship considering the underlying mechanism in patients with heart failure (HF). Aims The aim was to study the effects of social connectedness and self-care confidence on the relationship between SSS and well-being in patients with HF according to the Reserve Capacity Model. Methods and results We recruited 296 patients from a general hospital using convenience sampling. SSS, social connectedness, self-care confidence, and well-being were assessed using self-reported questionnaires. A multiple mediation model was examined using the PROCESS macro in SPSS. Higher levels of SSS (r  =   0.18, P  <   0.01), social connectedness (r  =   0.21, P  <   0.01), and self-care confidence (r  =   0.20, P  <   0.01) were positively correlated with better emotional well-being, but not with physical well-being. The multiple mediation analysis revealed that the relationship between SSS and emotional well-being was mediated by social connectedness (effect: 0.061, 95% CI [0.014, 0.148]) and self-care confidence (effect: 0.110, 95% CI [0.006, 0.249]) separately, and together in serial (effect: 0.008, 95% CI [0.001, 0.028]). Conclusions Social connectedness and self-care confidence are multiple mediators of the relationship between SSS and emotional well-being. Interventions targeting to strengthening social connectedness and self-care confidence may improve emotional well-being directly.
