Background The family-centered and community-based community home-based elderly care has gradually become the main trend in the context of increased population aging in China. As an important component of the primary care service system, community health services play a cornerstone role in community home-based elderly care. Understanding the experience of home-dwelling old adults on community health services will help to improve the healthcare quality and promote the development of combined medical and nursing care. Objective To understand the reasons for the home-dwelling old adults to prefer community home-based elderly care and their experience, analyze the existing problems, so as to provide reference for developing needs-oriented community health services. Methods From February to June in 2022, the home-dwelling old adults aged ≥65 years old were selected from 10 community health centers in Chengdu as the study subjects by using purposive sampling method. 10 focus groups were set up to conduct face-to-face, semi-structured interviews. Data collection was performed by audio recording and text transcription. NVivo 12 software was used for the coding and categories extracting of interview content and the thematic framework analysis method was used to organize and analyze the interview data to extract the themes. Results A total of 40 home-dwelling old adults were enrolled, including 20 males and 20 females aged 65-86 years with an average age of (74.4±5.6) years, 31 cases from urban areas and 9 cases from suburban areas. The interview data were analyzed and 3 themes were extracted: Comprehensive factor of the old adults is the primary factor affecting their choice of pension modes and health needs; Community health service is an important way to provide health services for home-dwelling old adults, which cannot completely meet the health needs of the old adults; Optimizing service modes, enriching service programs and increasing external support can increase the sense of contentment and promote the health of old adults. Conclusion Home-dwelling old adults are basically satisfied with the health services provided in the community, but the personal factors of old adults, the modes and programs of community health services have influenced the experience of home-dwelling old adults with community health services, inducing their growing health needs unmet. Providing professional, diversified and precise community health services, improving the quality of medical services and the mode of medical services combining the health situation of home-dwelling old adults, are of great significance to improve the community health service system and and promote the health of older adults.

The existence of Quaternary glaciers in the medium-low mountainous areas in the east of China has been disputed for a century. As an important evidence for glacial accumulation in the east, "mud-gravel" (moraine) has long been referred to as debris flow sediments by those who hold a non-glacial view. However, due to the essential difference of the accumulation process between glacier and debris flow, it would inevitably show specific differences in the characteristics of the accumulation body. Therefore, in the cause analysis of moraine and restoration of moraine accumulation process, it is of great significance to identifying and summarizing the specific differences between glacier and debris flow in accumulation characteristics and accumulation process. Based on the comparative analysis, it reveals that, the glacial moraine forms a specific ridge-groove sequence on the plane, and on the section it shows a state of unstratified and mixed accumulation; Debris flow forms an accumulation fan. The fan surface presents a radial ridge accumulation, and the section shows a prosodic sequence. This is what distinguishes glacier from debris flow deposit. On this basis, the diamictons in the Jiulongtan area were investigated and reconstructed. It is found that they have the typical ridge-groove sequence of glacial origin, and meanwhile they present a state of unstratified and mixed accumulation on the section, which proves they are the results of Quaternary glaciation. The ridge-groove sequence is not only the specific feature to judge whether the diamictons are the results of glaciation, but also the theoretical basis to restore the basic geomorphological features and accumulation process of moraine deposits.

Cadmium (Cd) is a major cause of soil contamination in farmlands. To improve the phytoremediation ability of hyperaccumulators, the straws of three Solanum spp. (Solanum alatum, Solanum nigrum var. humile, and Solanum nigrum) were added to Cd‐contaminated soil, and Cd‐hyperaccumualtor Galinsoga parviflora were planted in the soil to explore their effect on phytoremediation ability of G. parviflora. The straws of three Solanum spp. increased the biomass of G. parviflora, but had no significant effects on the photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll, and carotenoid) contents in G. parviflora. The straws of three Solanum spp. decreased or had no significant effects on the superoxide dismutase activity and soluble protein content of G. parviflora, however, they enhanced the catalase activity of this plant. The straw of S. nigrum var. humile enhanced the peroxidase activity of G. parviflora, whereas the straws of S. alatum and S. nigrum decreased the peroxidase activity of G. parviflora. The straws of three Solanum spp. increased the Cd content in shoots and the Cd extraction by shoots of G. parviflora. Compared with the control, the straws of S. alatum, S. nigrum var. humile, and S. nigrum increased the Cd extraction by shoots by 46.41%, 35.33%, and 41.20%, respectively. Correlation and gray relational analyses revealed that the root biomass, shoot biomass, and catalase activity were closely associated with the Cd extration by shoots of G. parviflora. These results indicate that the straws of three Solanum spp. can promote the growth and Cd uptake of G. parviflora, thus improving its phytoremediation ability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Treatment of hyperdivergent skeletal Class III malocclusion is challenging for orthodontists, and orthognathic-orthodontic treatment is usually required. This report presents the successful nonsurgical treatment of a 20-year-old man who had a skeletal Class III malocclusion with anterior open bite, anterior and posterior crossbite, hyperdivergent growth pattern, steep occlusal plane, early loss of three first molars, and an uncommon convex profile with a retruded chin. An orthodontic camouflage treatment plan was chosen based on the etiology and the patient's complaints. Tooth #37 was extracted. Miniscrews were used for uprighting and intruding of the lower molars, distalization of the lower dentition, and flattening of the occlusal plane. After 34 months of active treatment, Class I relationships, proper anterior overjet and overbite, flat occlusal plane, and an esthetic facial profile were achieved. The results demonstrated that the biomechanics involved in the nonsurgical treatment assisted with miniscrews to distalize the mandibular dentition and flatten the occlusal plane while keeping the mandibular plane stable was effective for treating this hyperdivergent skeletal Class III patient with a convex profile and anterior open bite. Whether Quaternary glaciation exists in the middle and low mountains of eastern China has been debated for a century. Because glacial landforms are formed by glaciation, further studying on the mountain glacial erosion relics and analyzing on the evolution of geomorphology are significant to identify the existence of glaciation. The satellite remote sensing with a large overlook view breaks the limitation of observation the mountain geomorphology from the ground in the past, and provides the condition to study the structure of glacial erosion geomorphology. Modern glaciers are widespread in the Himalayas with the clear and typical glacial erosion landforms that provide a basis for us to study the ice cirque system. Mean while, according to the erosion direction of ice cirque, we distinguish three fundamental combinations such as the symmetrical erosion triangle ridge chains, oblique erosion triangle ridge chains and following erosion triangle ridge chains. Glacial erosion triangle chains are the structural relics of glaciation. Comparative analysis of the mountain landforms in the middle and low mountains of eastern China using the triangle ridge theory, we found glacial erosion triangle ridge chains are widespread in that areas, which proves Quaternary glaciation existing in the eastern China. In recent years, 3-hydroxychromone (3-HC) and its derivatives have attracted much interest for their applications as molecular photoswitches and fluorescent probes. A clear understanding of their excited-state dynamics is essential for their applications and further development of new functional 3-HC derivatives. However, the deactivation mechanism of the photoexcited 3-HC family is still puzzling as their spectral properties are sensitive to the surrounding medium and substituents. The excited-state relaxation channels of 3-HC have been a matter of intense debate. In the current work, we thoroughly investigated the excited-state decay process of the 3-HC system in the gas phase using high-level electronic structure calculations and on-the-fly excited-state dynamic simulations intending to provide insight into the intrinsic photochemical properties of the 3-HC system. A new deactivation mechanism is proposed in the gas phase, which is different from that in solvents. The excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) process that occurs in solutions is not preferred in the gas phase due to the existence of a sizable energy barrier (∼0.8 eV), and thus, no dual fluorescence is found. On the contrary, the non-radiative decay process is the dominant decay channel, which is driven by photoisomerization combined with ring-puckering and ring-opening processes. The results coincide with the observations of an experiment performed in a supersonic jet by Itoh (M. Itoh, Pure Appl. Chem. , 1993, 65 (8), 1629-1634). The current work indicates that the solution environment plays an important role in regulating the excited-state dynamic behaviour of the 3-HC system. This study thus provides theoretical guidance for the rational design and improvement of the photochemical properties of the 3-HC system and paves the way for further investigation into its photochemical properties in complex environments.
