Objective To analyze the changes in the spatial distribution characteristics of perinatal birth defects and congenital heart disease (CHD) in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, before and after the comprehensive newborn CHD screening program was carried out in 2018, and to provide a scientific basis for adjusting the strategy for prevention and treatment of birth defects in the region. Methods The data were obtained from the perinatal birth defects surveillance data in the Maternal and Child Health Information System of Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, from 2016 to 2022. The incidence rates of birth defects and CHD in 2016—2018 and 2019—2022 were calculated respectively at the township-level. Global spatial autocorrelation analysis, local spatial autocorrelation analysis and Getis-Ord Gi* hotspot analysis were carried out using ArcGIS Pro 3.2 software. Results The incidence of birth defects and CHD was 8.67‰, 3.67‰ from 2016 to 2022 in Huai'an, respectively. The incidence of birth defects and CHD in 2019—2022 (13.73‰, 7.42‰) were significantly higher than those in 2016—2018 (4.68‰, 0.71‰, P＜0.001). There was no spatial aggregation of birth defects and CHD incidence rates in Huai'an City in 2016—2018; the distribution of birth defects and CHD incidence rates in Huai'an City in 2019—2022 showed a spatial positive correlation distribution, with the hotspot areas all being Licheng Street, Jinnan Township, and Taji Township in the southern part of Jinhu County. In 2019—2022 compared with 2016—2018, all four types of aggregation areas changed. Conclusion Policy adjustments are necessary according to the changes in the incidence and aggregation of birth defects and CHD in different counties. Improving the screening, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring system of CHD, is crucial for the birth defects prevention and control network in Huai'an.

The rapid growth of live streaming e-commerce is hindered by its high rate of product returns, which poses a challenge to its long-term sustainability. Specifically, clothes shoppers account for 30% of all sales made during live broadcasts. This study aims to evaluate the impact of live streaming e-commerce on repurchase intention in the sports brand industry in China. The paper used quantitative research methods with 398 data collected from consumers of sports brands who were willing to provide information regarding their shopping experience on the live streaming platform. 224 respondents were females (56.3%), and 174 were males (43.7%). The study adopted a questionnaire to collect the data. Partial least squares-structural equation modeling was used to test the correlation between the variables. The results revealed direct and positive effect of consumer trust (β = 0.397, p = 0.000) and perceived value (β = 0.215, p = 0.001) on repurchase intention in live streaming e-commerce. The findings also indicated that both consumer trust and perceived value play a mediating role. In addition, the results supported the assumption that the characteristics of live streamers (β = 0.389, p = 0.000) have a positive impact on consumer trust, and customer-to-customer interaction (β = 0.678, p = 0.000) has a significant impact on perceived value. Finally, sports brands are advised to optimize live streaming platforms to better meet consumers’ needs. The adoption of brown fermented milk in the normal diet and daily beverages is accompanied by significant sugar intake and a high public health burden. To reduce the sugar content in dairy products while maintaining optimal nutritional properties, a novel low-calorie, lactose-free brown fermented milk was developed through enzymatic hydrolysis and the Maillard reaction. The optimal product was achieved using low-temperature lactase, where the lactose and glucose content were reduced 33-fold and 2.4-fold to 0.06 g/100 g and 13.32 g/L, respectively, meeting the criteria for being lactose-free (<0.5 g/100 g). Meanwhile, hazardous compounds such as 5-hydroxymethylfurfural and 3-deoxyglucosone were reduced by more than 20%. After 28 days of storage, the water-holding capacity and suspension stability remained notably stable, and the protein composition was also more enriched compared to commercial milk. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder, characterized by social communication disability and stereotypic behavior. This study aims to investigate the impact of prenatal exposure to 1‐nitropyrene (1‐NP), a key component of motor vehicle exhaust, on autism‐like behaviors in a mouse model. Three‐chamber test finds that prenatal 1‐NP exposure causes autism‐like behaviors during the weaning period. Patch clamp shows that inhibitory synaptic transmission is reduced in medial prefrontal cortex of 1‐NP‐exposed weaning pups. Immunofluorescence finds that prenatal 1‐NP exposure reduces the number of prefrontal glutamate decarboxylase 67 (GAD67) positive interneurons in fetuses and weaning pups. Moreover, prenatal 1‐NP exposure retards tangential migration of GAD67‐positive interneurons and downregulates interneuron migration‐related genes, such as Nrg1, Erbb4, and Sema3F, in fetal forebrain. Mechanistically, prenatal 1‐NP exposure reduces hydroxymethylation of interneuron migration‐related genes through inhibiting ten‐eleven translocation (TET) activity in fetal forebrain. Supplement with alpha‐ketoglutarate (α‐KG), a cofactor of TET enzyme, reverses 1‐NP‐induced hypohydroxymethylation at specific sites of interneuron migration‐related genes. Moreover, α‐KG supplement alleviates 1‐NP‐induced migration retardation of interneurons in fetal forebrain. Finally, maternal α‐KG supplement improves 1‐NP‐induced autism‐like behaviors in weaning offspring. In conclusion, prenatal 1‐NP exposure causes autism‐like behavior partially by altering DNA hydroxymethylation of interneuron migration‐related genes in developing brain. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
