Ligularia virgaurea is one of the original plants of the Tibetan medicine “Rixiao” for the treatment of clearing heat and removing yellow water. In order to study the chemical constituents and anti-inflammatory activity of L. virgaurea, the compounds were separated by silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 gel, ODS gel column chromatography and other column chromatography technologies. The structures of all isolates were identified by spectroscopic methods (NMR and HR-ESI-MS). Their inhibitory activity of the compounds on nitric oxide (NO) was determined by lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW264.7 cell model. The results were as follows: (1) Twenty-one compounds were separated and identified from petroleum ether and n-butanol extracts of L. virgaurea, including spiroeuryolide (1), cacalol acetate (2), oplopenone (3), 8-ethyl-palmosalide A (4), 1-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2-(pent-3-enyl)benzofuran (5), syringaresinol-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (6), pinoresinol-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (7), isoeucommin A (8), eucommin A (9), 6,7-dimethoxycoumarin (10), ferulic acid (11), ethyl caffeate (12), methyl caffeate (13), methyl ferulate (14), ethyl ferulate (15), caffeic acid (16), 2-［(2′E)-3′,7′-dimethyl-2′,6′-octadienyl］-4-methoxy-6-methylphenol (17), 2,8-dimethyl-6-methoxy-2-(4′-methylpent-3′-enyl)-chromene (18), β-sitosterol (19), dodecyl(Z)-9-hexadecenoate (20) and hexacosanal (21). Compounds 1-4, 6, 11-16, 18, 20, 21 were isolated from the whole herbs of L. virgaurea for the first time. Endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP) is one of the primary procedural techniques used for diagnosing biliary and pancreatic diseases. Post-ERCP pancreatitis (PEP) is the most common complication of ERCP, which resulted in prolonged hospitalization and potential risk of patients' lives, especially in severe cases. Understanding the risk factors associated with PEP is of paramount importance for its prevention. Currently, recognized risk factors for PEP encompass both patient-related factors and ERCP procedure-related factors. By considering these risk factors, implementing appropriate preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative interventions could effectively reduce the incidence of PEP. In this article, we concisely summarized the common risk factors and preventive methods for PEP, offering valuable insights for healthcare professionals in clinical practice.

SARS-CoV-2, a newly discovered coronavirus, has been linked to the COVID-19 pandemic and is currently an important public health issue. Despite all the work done to date around the world, there is still no viable treatment for COVID-19. This study examined the most recent evidence on the efficacy and safety of several therapeutic options available including natural substances, synthetic drugs and vaccines in the treatment of COVID-19. Various natural compounds such as sarsapogenin, lycorine, biscoclaurine, vitamin B12, glycyrrhizic acid, riboflavin, resveratrol and kaempferol, various vaccines and drugs such as AZD1222, mRNA-1273, BNT162b2, Sputnik V, and remdesivir, lopinavir, favipiravir, darunavir, oseltamivir, and umifenovir, resp., have been discussed comprehensively. We attempted to provide exhaustive information regarding the various prospective therapeutic approaches available in order to assist researchers and physicians in treating COVID-19 patients.

The script is a special text structure,which is composed of the dialogue between characters and the description of the scene.Unsupervised script summary refers to compressing and extracting a long script to form a short text that can summarize the information of the script.Therefore,this paper proposes an unsupervised script summary method based on a pre-training mo-del.By adding pre-training tasks for text sequence processing in pre-training,the generated pre-training model fully takes into account the description of the dialogue in the script and the emotional characteristics of the characters,then the model is used as a trainer to calculate the similarity between sentences and combined with the TextRank algorithm to score and sort the key sentences.Finally,the sentence with the highest score is selected as the summary.Experimental results show that the proposed method has better performance than the base model,and the performance is significantly improved in the ROUGE evaluation.

Traditional luminescent materials commonly exhibit single‐duration emissions and single‐timed emissions with limited emission peaks. Developing a material with multicolor, variable temporal, and multimodal luminescence is a significant challenge. Self‐reduction phosphors have attracted considerable interest for their distinctive properties and versatile applications. Distinguished by their rigid structure and exceptional purity, offer a safer alternative to conventional reduction methods using hazardous gases H2/CO/N2. However, synthesizing these phosphors with precise control over self‐reduction and defect regulation is complex. Therefore, innovative structures and substrates are essential to address these challenges. This review discusses the latest developments in phosphors doped with ions such as Eu3+, Mn4+, Ce4+, and Yb3+, examining the origins and advancements in self‐reduction. It covers classifications, mechanisms, defects, and applications, with an emphasis on techniques for controlled self‐reduction through structural and charge transfer modifications. The application of polymer composites is one of the most effective methods for preventing lubrication failure in deep‐sea engineering. In this study, fluorinated graphite (FGr) microsheets were incorporated into polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) microparticle‐filled poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) composites. The tribological performance in the simulated deep‐sea environment at elevated seawater pressure equivalent to 3000 m ocean depth was investigated. The results showed that FGr enhances the flexural and compressive strengths, thermal stability, and seawater resistance of the PTFE/PBT composite. The wear rate was decreased to 96% at the critical FGr content of 4% by improving the transfer onto the metallic counterfaces, preventing direct contact and shear between friction couples. Moreover, the seawater pressure impedes composite transfer, leading to a 29% increase in the wear rate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The obstacle associated with continuous cropping is an important problem in the production of muskmelon (Cucumis melo L.). The allelochemicals from root exudates play an active role in root–microbe communication. The primary objective of this study was to delve into the impact of root exudates and the continuous cultivation of muskmelon on the growth and colonization patterns of Trichoderma viride T23. It was observed that the root exudates of muskmelon significantly promoted mycelial growth and the sporulation of Trichoderma viride T23 at concentrations of 0.05, 0.1 g·mL−1, while at a concentration of 0.05 g·mL−1, the enzyme activities of β-glucosidase, chitinase and cellulase were 12.34, 13.23, and 17.85 U·mL−1, respectively, which were higher than those of the control. With increasing concentrations of root exudates, the hyphal growth, spore germination, and the three enzyme activities of Trichoderma viride T23 were decreased. The findings from the pot experiments revealed that the total phenolic acid content in the soil of replanted muskmelon demonstrated a trend of escalating over the course of the first growth cycle of continuous cropping to the fourth growth cycle of continuous cropping. The population density in the rhizosphere soil of Trichoderma viride T23 in the first growth cycle and the second growth cycle of continuous cropping shows a significant difference compared with other treatments, which led to statistically significant increments of stem diameter, leaf area, fresh weight, dry weight and SPAD index. It is necessary to increase the dose of the beneficial microorganism or degrade the phenolics in the rhizosphere soil to promote effectiveness while increasing the growth cycles of continuous cropping.
