Paired electrolysis methods are appealing for chemical synthesis because they generate valuable products at both electrodes; however, development of such reactions is complicated by the need for both half-reactions to proceed under mutually compatible conditions. Here, a modular electrochemical synthesis (ModES) strategy bypasses these constraints using a redox reservoir (RR) to pair electrochemical half-reactions across aqueous and nonaqueous solvents. Electrochemical oxidation reactions in organic solvents, the conversion of 4-t-butyltoluene to benzylic dimethyl acetal and aldehyde in methanol or the oxidative C-H amination of naphthalene in acetonitrile, and the reduction of oxygen to hydrogen peroxide in water were paired using nickel hexacyanoferrate as an RR that can selectively store and release protons (and electrons) while serving as the counter electrode for these reactions. Selective proton transport through the RR is optimized and confirmed to enable the ion balance, and thus the successful pairing, between redox half-reactions that proceed with different rates, on different scales, and in different solvents (methanol, acetonitrile, and water).

Fermented meat products are vulnerable to microbial contamination because of their long production cycle and rich nutrients, which can affect product quality and result in adverse effects on human health. As consumers pay increasing attention to the flavor and safety of fermented meat products, it is very important to explore the safety and flavor characteristics of meat products. Lactic acid bacteria were the first microorganisms isolated from fermented meat products, which are important dominant microorganisms in traditional fermented meat products and are closely related to product quality. In fermented meat products, lactic acid bacteria can not only produce antibacterial substances that inhibit the growth of harmful microorganisms and therefore improve the safety of meat products, but also improve the flavor of fermented meat products by affecting carbohydrate metabolism as well as protein and lipid decomposition and oxidation. This paper reviews the effect of lactic acid bacteria on improving the product quality by inhibiting the growth of harmful microorganisms in fermented meat products and the effect of lactic acid bacteria the flavor of fermented meat products in order to provide new ideas for future research of fermented meat products.

This paper summarized the practice of Hufu copper-bian scrapping therapy and nursing management for a patient with mammary eczema. Based on the nursing assessment and Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome differentiation, Hufu copper-bian scrapping was conducted to regulate of Qi activity and relive the dehumidification and itching. Nursing interventions such as health education and exercise guidance were carried out to relieve the clinical symptoms and prevent recurrence of the disease. Background and Aims: Various inflammatory and immune cytokines play key roles in the progression of hepatitis B virus (HBV)‐related liver cirrhosis (LC). This study explored the relationship between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in cytokines with the combined effect of polymorphisms and gender‐polymorphisms interaction and LC risk. Methods: In this study, a case–control design was used, samples were selected from 45 patients with hepatitis B‐related cirrhosis and 45 age‐gender‐matched chronic HBV‐infected patients without cirrhosis attending the tumor hospital of Wuwei Academy of Medical Sciences. Fifteen SNPs were examined using a real‐time polymerase chain reaction allelic discrimination system. Logistic regression was utilized to assess cytokine‐associated SNPs and the association between SNPs and LC progression in HBV‐infected patients. Results: The multivariate‐adjusted logistic model revealed that the GG/AG dominant model (OR, 16.38; 95% CI, 1.13–236.70) and G allele (OR, 5.93; 95% CI, 0.98–36.01) of rs1800896 were associated with an increased risk of cirrhosis in CHB patients. Instead, rs2227306 CT presented a reduced cirrhosis risk (OR, 0.22; 95% CI, 0.04–1.38). Rs2055979 AA/AC was negatively associated with the risk of cirrhosis, potentially reversed in males (p = 0.021). Rs1799964 CC/CT was positively related to the risk of cirrhosis but reduced the risk of cirrhosis in males (OR, 0.13; 95% CI, 0.022–0.808; p = 0.028). Both rs1799964 TT and rs1799724 CT/TT genotype showed a synergistic effect in reducing the risk of cirrhosis with rs1800896 AA (OR, 0.08; 95% CI, 0.01–1.43 and OR, 0.12; 95% CI, 0.01–2.21). Conclusion: Polymorphisms rs1800896 and rs2227306 are potentially associated with the risk of cirrhosis. For the first time, the study highlights that the rs2055979 AA/AC and rs1799964 CC/CT polymorphism interact with gender and its potential reversal of cirrhosis risk in males. Furthermore, rs1800896 AA showed a synergistic effect with rs1799964 TT and rs1799724 CT/TT to prevent the progression of HBV infection to cirrhosis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Somoss Imagine 8000 photosensitive resin was used to prepare test parts with various shapes, such as plane, bridge, round hole, nut, etc., by stereo lithography appearance. The surface accuracy, dimensional accuracy, tensile properties and printing time of different shapes under different layer thickness were studied. The results show that the surface accuracy of the test piece is the worst when the thickness is 0.06 mm, and the best when the thickness is 0.08 mm. The dimensional accuracy of the upper support surface of the test piece decreases with the increase of the thickness of the layer. If the thickness is too small, the “Z” axis surplus phenomenon appears, which leads to the increase of the dimensional accuracy in the height direction. However, the thickness of the layer has little effect on the dimensional accuracy in horizontal direction. The dimensional accuracy of the bridge, the fine gap, the wall thickness and the nut were the worst when the layer thickness was 0.06 mm.The dimensional accuracy is better when the layer thickness is 0.1 mm and 0.08 mm.When the thickness increases from 0.08 mm to 0.1 mm, the tensile strength decreases from 48.98 MPa to 46.62 MPa, which decreases by 4.8%.Elongation decreases from 2.4% to 1.6%, all less than 5%, indicating that the strength of the material can be improved by appropriately reducing the thickness of the layer. The layer thickness is inversely proportional to the printing time. When the layer thickness increases from 0.06 mm to 0.1 mm, the printing time is shortened by 67% and the printing efficiency is improved.

Optoelectronic devices for information storage and processing are at the heart of optical communication technology due to their significant applications in optical recording and computing. The infrared radiations of 850, 1310, and 1550 nm with low energy dissipation in optical fibers are typical optical communication wavebands. However, optoelectronic devices that could convert and store the infrared data into electrical signals, thereby enabling optical data communications, have not yet been realized. We report an infrared memory device using MoS2/PbS van der Waals heterostructures, in which the infrared pulse intrigues a persistent resistance state that hardly relaxes within our experimental time scales (more than 104 s). The device fully retrieves the memory state even after powering off for 3 hours, indicating its potential for nonvolatile storage devices. Furthermore, the device presents a reconfigurable switch of 2000 stable cycles. Supported by a theoretical model with quantitative analysis, we propose that the optical memory and the electrical erasing phenomenon, respectively, originate from the localization of infrared-induced holes in PbS and gate voltage pulse-enhanced tunneling of electrons from MoS2 to PbS. The demonstrated MoS2 heterostructure-based memory devices open up an exciting field for optoelectronic infrared memory and programmable logic devices.

Objective To investigate the situation of hospital accompanying visitors and patient satisfaction under the nursing management of orthopedic wards in the post-epidemic era, in order to provide a reference for how to take into account the needs of patients for visits under the current situation, and to improve the satisfaction of patients and the safe development of medical work. In order to meet the growing demand of lymphotherapists, training and patients, guidance, a specific model was designed for training manual lymphatic drainage therapy. The design and application effect of this model is described and discussed in this study. The model can easily let the operator know whether the manipulation is accurate, whether the operation pressure is stable and whether the drainage effect is satisfactory for further adjustments. The design is very close to the clinical practice and the operation of the model is simple and convenient. Preliminary application of this training model showed good effect in better understanding and mastering manipulation technique both in therapists and the patients, as well as their family members. The gut microbiota plays an important role in host nutrient absorption, immune function, and behavioral patterns. Much research on the gut microbiota of wildlife has focused on feces samples, so the microbial composition along the gastrointestinal tract of wildlife is not well reported. To address this gap, we performed high-throughput sequencing of 16s rRNA genes and ITs rRNA genes in the gastrointestinal contents of a wild adult male Chinese muntjac (Muntiacus reevesi) to comparatively analyze the microbial diversity of different gastrointestinal regions. The results showed that the dominant bacterial phyla were Firmicutes (66.19%) and Bacteroidetes (22.7%), while the dominant fungal phyla were Ascomycetes (72.81%). The highest bacterial diversity was found in the stomach, and the highest fungal diversity was found in the cecum. The microbial communities of the large intestine and small intestine were of similar structures, which were distinct from that of the stomach. These results would facilitate the continued exploration of the microbial composition and functional diversity of the gastrointestinal tract of wild Chinese muntjacs and provide a scientific basis for microbial resource conservation of more wildlife. Heterogeneous electrocatalysis closely relies on the electronic structure of the catalytic materials. The ferroelectric‐to‐paraelectric phase transition of the materials also involves a change in the state of electrons that could impact the electrocatalytic activity, but such correlation remains unexplored. Here, we demonstrate experimentally and theoretically that the intrinsic electrocatalytic activity could be regulated as exampled by hydrogen evolution reaction catalysis over two‐dimensional ferroelectric CuInP2S6. The obvious discontinuity in the overpotential and apparent activation energy values for CuInP2S6 electrode are illustrated during the ferroelectric‐to‐paraelectric phase transition caused by copper displacement around Tc point (318 K), revealing the ferroelectro‐catalytic effect on thermodynamics and kinetics of electrocatalysis. When loading Pt single atom on the CuInP2S6, the paraelectric phase one showed an improved hydrogen evolution activity with smaller apparent activation energy over the ferroelectric phase counterpart. This is attributed to the copper hopping between two sulfur planes, which alternate between strong and weak H adsorption at the Pt sites to simultaneously promote H+ reactant adsorption and H2 product desorption.
