Introduction: Ureaplasma urealyticum (UU) is a common pathogen associated with genital tract infections in infertile males. However, its impact on semen quality, embryo development, and in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes remains underexplored. This study aims to evaluate the effect of male UU infection on semen parameters, embryo development, pregnancy outcomes, and neonatal health in infertile couples. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 1,215 infertile couples at the First Hospital of USTC. Participants were divided into two groups based on the male partner's UU infection status: UU-positive (n=249) and UU-negative (n=966). Semen parameters (sperm concentration, motility, morphology, anti-sperm antibodies, DNA stainability) were assessed. Embryo development was evaluated through fertilization rates and blastocyst formation rates. Pregnancy outcomes (clinical pregnancy, live birth rates, miscarriage rate) and neonatal health (gestational age, birth weight, Apgar scores, preterm delivery) were also compared. Results: Semen parameters, including sperm concentration, motility, and morphology, were similar between the UU-positive and UU-negative groups. However, the UU-positive group had significantly higher levels of anti-sperm antibodies (ASA) (p =0.020) and higher DNA stainability (HDS) (p =0.014). Despite these differences, embryo quality, as measured by fertilization rates and blastocyst formation rates, was not significantly different between the two groups. Pregnancy outcomes, including clinical pregnancy and live birth rates, were also comparable. While the UU-positive group had a slightly higher miscarriage rate, this difference was not statistically significant. Neonatal outcomes, including gestational age, birth weight, Apgar scores, and preterm delivery rate, did not differ significantly between the two groups. Discussion: The study suggests that while male UU infection may adversely affect certain semen parameters, its impact on IVF outcomes—such as embryo quality, pregnancy rates, and neonatal health—appears to be minimal. These findings support the continued use of IVF as a viable and safe option for infertile couples with male UU infection, as it does not significantly influence reproductive or neonatal outcomes. Ostracism and school engagement have important implications for adolescents' academic perseverance and success. However, limited previous studies have investigated the mediating effects of school engagement on the association between ostracism and academic achievement in the Chinese cultural context. The present study fills in this research gap by examining the mediating effects of emotional engagement, cognitive engagement, and behavioral engagement on the association between ostracism and adolescents' academic achievement. Clustered random sampling was employed, and a total of 728 adolescents (52.6% female) were recruited as participants. The results showed that ostracism was negatively associated with academic achievement. Ostracism was negatively associated with emotional engagement and cognitive engagement, which in turn were related to worse academic achievement. Notably, within the Chinese cultural context, behavioral engagement did not exhibit a mediating effect between ostracism and academic achievement. Atomic scaling of cobalt‐based catalysts is the feasible and sustainable approach for selective oxidation of biomass‐derived 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) to produce bio‐plastic monomer of 2,5‐furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) under mild conditions. Here, a high‐efficiency dual single‐atomic Co/Cu supported on nitrogen‐doped carbon (a‐Co/Cu‐NC) is constructed. Leveraging exceptional oxygen activation ability, the Co/Cu dual‐atomic‐sites can accelerate the HMF oxidation, suppressing by‐product formation mediated by reactive oxygen species (ROS) in low‐oxygen environments. This leads to enhanced FDCA selectivity with a yield of 98% and a production rate of 298.8 mmolFDCA gmetal−1 h−1 under ambient conditions. Comprehensive experiments and density functional theory (DFT) calculations demonstrate that long‐range interactions between Co and Cu sites optimize reactant adsorption and lower energy barriers for •O2− and HMFCA formation. Electrochemical reduction of nitrate (NO3RR) holds great promise for environmentally friendly ammonia production. Tandem catalysis is a promising strategy for boosting the NO3RR and inhibiting side effects, but it is still challenged by lacking well‐designed catalysts to drive this catalytic process. Herein, the study develops the CuCo branched nanowires (CuCo NW) catalyst, which efficiently converts NO3− to NH3 on Co (111) and Cu (111) crystal facets through a tandem catalysis mechanism. The in situ grown CuCo NW on Cu foam demonstrates a remarkable Faraday efficiency of 90.3% at 1.0 A cm−2 and maintains stable operation for 200 h at 100 and 200 mA cm−2 in a flow reactor. Density functional theory calculations suggest that the initial absorption and subsequent deoxygenation of *NO3 on Co (111) leading to the formation of *NO2, followed by its transfer to Cu (111) and further conversion to *NH3, establish an optimal pathway by managing rate‐determining steps on individual surfaces for NO3RR. To showcase the practical application of the catalyst, the study further develops a scaling‐up prototype reactor for continuous ammonia production, realizing the gram‐level yield rate of 1474.09 mg h−1 and Faraday efficiency of 91.26% at practical‐level 20.0 A. Background Objectives Materials and methods Results Conclusion With the development of socio‐economic conditions and a shift in attitudes towards fertility, there has been a gradual increase in delayed childbearing since the 2000s. Age plays a significant role in the decline of fertility. However, we know very little about the association of paternal age with reproductive outcomes.To investigate the correlation between advanced paternal age and semen quality, embryo quality, pregnancy, and neonatal outcomes in IVF cycles.In this study, after excluding female partners aged ≥35 years, we analyzed data from 761 infertile couples who underwent in vitro fertilization cycles at the First Affiliated Hospital of USTC between June 2020 and March 2023. Cases were classified into three groups according to the age of the male: <35 years (530 infertile couples), 35 years ≤ paternal age <40 years (125 infertile couples), and ≥40 years (106 infertile couples). Then, we compared the general clinical data arising from in vitro fertilization cycles between the three groups, including semen parameters, embryonic parameters, and pregnancy and neonatal birth outcomes.Data analysis showed that the duration of infertility and the incidence of secondary infertility were significantly higher in paternal age ≥35 years groups than those aged <35 years (all p < 0.05). We also observed a significant difference between ≥40 years and <35 years groups in terms of the normal fertilization rate, high‐quality embryo rate, clinical pregnancy rate, miscarriage rate, live birth rate, Apgar scores, and the low birth weight neonatal rate (all p < 0.05). The group with paternal age ≥40 years showed statistically significant differences in terms of clinical pregnancy rate, miscarriage rate, live birth rate, and low birth weight on multivariable logistic regression (all p < 0.05).The results of our study indicate that advanced paternal age (≥40 years) has a significant impact on the embryo quality, pregnancy outcome, and neonatal outcome. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been reported to decrease semen quality in reproductive-age men. Semen quality in vaccinated men after SARS-CoV-2 infection remains unclear. We recruited reproductive-age Chinese men scheduled for COVID-19 vaccination from December 2022 to March 2023. Among 1,639 vaccinated participants, an upward trend was found in sperm concentration (p <.001), progressive motility (p <.001), total motility (p <.001), total motile sperm count (TMSC) (p <.001), and normal morphology (p =.01) over time following COVID-19 recovery. Among men with an SARS-CoV-2 infection that lasted less than 30 days, men who received an inactivated vaccine booster had higher sperm progressive (p =.006) and total motility (p =.005) as well as TMSC (p =.008) than those without a booster vaccine, whereas no difference was found in semen parameters among men who received a recombinant protein vaccine. Similarly, an upward trend in semen quality was found among 122 men who provided semen samples before and after COVID-19. Higher risks of asthenozoospermia (odds ratio [ OR ] = 2.23, p <.001) and teratozoospermia (OR = 2.09, p =.03) were found among men who had an SARS-CoV-2 infection that lasted less than 30 days than among those without COVID-19. Collectively, after receiving SARS-CoV-2 vaccination, adverse but reversible semen parameters were observed in men recovering from COVID-19 over time. The past decade witnessed substantial attention toward metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) for photocatalytic water splitting owing to their versatile structural and optoelectronic characteristics. However, MOFs capable of efficient photocatalytic overall water splitting (OWS) remain notably scarce. Although MOF‐based photocatalysts with OWS potential are highly promising due to their diverse building blocks and topological configurations, the vast number of possible MOFs renders traditional trial‐and‐error materials discovery approaches impractical. Herein, a data‐driven methodology that integrates machine learning with high‐throughput first‐principles computations to identify MOFs with OWS capability is presented. By systematically assessing factors including water stability, band gap, band positions, charge carrier transport, and optical absorption properties, 14 MOFs from the Quantum‐MOF (QMOF) database containing over 20,000 MOFs as promising candidates for visible‐light‐driven OWS are identified. Notably, five of them exhibit exceptional electronic and optical properties, outperforming previously reported MOF OWS photocatalysts, such as UIO66(Zr)‐NH2, MIL125(Ti)‐NH2, and MIL53(Al)‐NH2 is established. This work represents a large‐scale, data‐driven exploration of MOF‐based photocatalysts for water splitting, shedding light on the untapped potential of photocatalysis in MOFs. Summary: The beam‐hopping technology can solve the problems of uneven user distribution and uneven service demand and improve the efficiency of resource utilization. It is one of the important technologies of future satellite–ground integrated communication. However, the mobility of LEO satellites and the on‐demand scheduling of beams make each satellite beam correspond to multiple ground wave positions, which brings great difficulties to data processing. In this paper, after analyzing the difficulties of the data forwarding buffer of the beam‐hopping system, a double‐linked list structure of user state chain and data buffer chain is proposed, which solves the problem of data forwarding between the satellite and users in the dynamic state and provides an efficient solution for the data exchange of the beam‐hopping LEO satellite.
