Background: The occurrence of acne in patients treated with Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors for skin diseases is a potential issue, which may reduce treatment adherence.Purpose: To systematically analyzes randomized clinical trials (RCTs) of JAK inhibitors in dermatological indications for the risk of acne as an adverse event.Methods: A meta-analysis of odds ratios (ORs) for acne incidence was conducted. Data were quantitatively synthesized using random-effects meta-analysis. Surface under the cumulative ranking curve (SUCRA) values representing the relative ranking probabilities of treatments were obtained. Analyses were performed using R statistical software version 4.4.0.Results: A total of 11,396 patients were included from 24 studies. The incidence of acne for JAK inhibitors was ranked according to the SUCRA as follows: JAK1 inhibitors > TYK2 inhibitors > combined JAK1 and JAK2 inhibitors > combined JAK1 and TYK2 inhibitors > JAK3 + TEC inhibitors > pan-JAK inhibitors. ORs were higher for longer durations of drug use and larger dosages. Subgroup analyses by disease indication revealed increased ORs for psoriasis (5.52 [95% CI, 1.39–21.88]), vitiligo (4.15 [95% CI, 1.27–13.58]), alopecia areata (3.86 [95% CI, 1.58–9.42]), and atopic dermatitis (2.82 [95% CI, 1.75–4.54]). The use of JAK inhibitors in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) may not significantly increase the incidence of acne.Conclusions: There are higher rates of acne following treatment with JAK inhibitors for dermatologic indications, particularly with longer durations and larger dosages. Pan-JAK inhibitors exhibit the lowest incidence of acne.

Abstract Background Evaluate the effectiveness of posterior percutaneous full-endoscopic technique for patients with thoracic myelopathy caused by ossification of ligamentum flavum (TOLF). Methods A prospective study was conducted for 16 patients with TOLF, who were treated with posterior endoscopic technique from 2017 to 2019. The sagittal and cross-sectional CT images are used to measure the area of ossified ligamentum and evaluate the decompression of surgery, respectively. The effectiveness was evaluated with visual analog scale (VAS), modified Japanese Orthopedic Association scale (mJOA), The Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), and Macnab efficacy evaluation. Results The average area of TOLF on sagittal and cross-sectional CT images in the 16 patients was (116.62 ± 32.72) mm2 and (141.59 ± 27.25) mm2 preoperatively, (15.99 ± 12.54) mm2 and (11.72 ± 8.64) mm2 at 3 days after the operation, (16.78 ± 11.49) mm2 and (10.82 ± 7.57) mm2 postoperative 1 year, respectively. The invasive proportion of spinal canal at preoperative sagittal and cross-sectional CT images was (48.10 ± 10.04) % and (57.58 ± 11.37) %, which decreased to (6.83 ± 4.48) % and (4.40 ± 3.01) % at the final follow-up. The average score of mJOA, VAS and ODI improved. The excellent and good rate was 87.50% according to Macnab evaluation. Compared with preoperative, differences in areas of TOLF, proportions of spinal canal, and clinical assessments of postoperative 3 days and 1 year were all statistically significant. Two cases of dural tear were observed. Conclusion Endoscopic surgery has a good clinical effect on TOLF, which has the advantage of less trauma to the paraspinal muscles and no impact on the spinal structure. The CT-based radiographic measurements can quantitatively evaluate the degree of spinal canal stenosis in TOLF.

To overcome the poor targeting of conventional chemotherapeutic drugs and the defects of low drug‐loading capacity of conventional drug delivery systems, novel drug delivery systems with high drug‐loading capacity are developed. Herein, the high drug‐loaded mPEG79‐GFLGDDD‐DOX copolymer is first synthesized via an amide reaction, which can bond multiplex DOX. After PEGylation, the drug can resist the adsorption of proteins in the plasma in blood circulation, avoid being rapidly cleared out of the body, and prolong the circulation time of the drug in the blood, which is conducive to the enrichment of micelles in tumor tissues through the EPR effect. In tumor tissues, the peptide Glycine‐ Phenylalanine‐ Leucine‐ Glycine (GFLG) is recognized and sheared by overexpressed cathepsin B, which stripped the outer layer of methoxy polyethylene glycol (mPEG) and made it more readily available for uptake by tumor cells. After entering the tumor cells, the bonded DOX and the physically encapsulated DOX in the micelles played a synergistic role, realizing the killing of tumor cells, thus effectively enhancing the therapeutic effect on tumors. In the realm of financial transactions, the allocation of household assets often lacks proper guidance, resulting in suboptimal utilization and limited income for residents. This study aims to address this issue by introducing rational asset allocation strategies, improving efficiency, and increasing household income. Specifically, the study focuses on enhancing Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRIO algorithms, particularly the Deep Q-Network algorithm. The current network is optimized by employing a dual network structure, leading to improved performance. Moreover, the proposed model incorporates Grubbs' improved algorithm to effectively denoise stock data samples, enabling iterative training of diverse stock agents. the results demonstrate the following findings: (1) The application of the Grubbs' improved algorithm to the cumulative returns of different stocks significantly surpasses the results without noise reduction, (2) The Sharpe ratio of the stock agents using the Grubbs improvement algorithm is noticeably higher than that of the unimproved DRL algorithm. The Sharpe ratio of stock agents under the unimproved algorithm consistently remains below 1.0; (3) The maximum drawdown of the stock agents using the Grubbs' improved algorithm is significantly lower than that of the unimproved DRL algorithm. The unimproved algorithm exhibits relatively higher maximum drawdown rates. These findings indicate that Grubbs' improved algorithm possesses notable advantages in noise reduction and enhancing the cumulative returns of assets. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Chromochloris zofingiensis, a unicellular green alga, is a potential source of natural carotenoids. In this study, the mutant LUT-4 was acquired from the chemical mutagenesis pool of C. zofingiensis strain. The biomass yield and lutein content of LUT-4 reached 9.23 g·L−1, and 0.209% of dry weight (DW) on Day 3, which was 49.4%, and 33% higher than that of wild-type (WT), respectively. The biomass yields of LUT-4 under 100, 300, and 500 µmol/m2/s reached 8.4 g·L−1, 7.75 g·L−1, and 6.6 g·L−1, which was 10.4%, 21%, and 29.6% lower compared with the control, respectively. Under mixotrophic conditions, the lutein yields were significantly higher than that obtained in the control. The light intensity of 300 µmol/m2/s was optimal for lutein biosynthesis and the content of lutein reached 0.294% of DW on Day 3, which was 40.7% more than that of the control. When LUT-4 was grown under 300 µmol/m2/s, a significant increase in expression of genes implicated in lutein biosynthesis, including phytoene synthase (PSY), phytoene desaturase (PDS), and lycopene epsilon cyclase (LCYe) was observed. The changes in biochemical composition, Ace-CoA, pyruvate, isopentenyl pyrophosphate (IPP), and geranylgeranyl diphosphate (GGPP) contents during lutein biosynthesis were caused by utilization of organic carbon. It was thereby concluded that 300 µmol/m2/s was the optimal culture light intensity for the mutant LUT-4 to synthesize lutein. The results would be helpful for the large-scale production of lutein. Based on the time-dependent density functional theory, we theoretically investigate the influence of mechanical strains on the high-order harmonic generation (HHG) in the monolayer hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) crystal. We show that mechanical strains can largely modify the band structure and facilitate the harmonic emission. Compared to uniaxial strains, we find that biaxial strains may enhance the HHG yield significantly, and the HHG spectroscopy generated by a linearly polarized laser is closely related to the symmetry of the deformed hBN. Moreover, when driven by a circularly polarized laser, we find that the appearance of the 3n-order harmonics manifests the restoration of the three-fold rotational symmetry. Our results will be useful in controlling the HHG spectroscopy and probing lattice deformations in crystals.

Trichoderma is an important and widely used plant growth-promoting fungus (PGPF). In this study, stevia residue amended with amino acids hydrolyzed from animal carcasses was used for the production of Trichoderma guizhouense NJAU 4742 by solid-state fermentation, and then its potential to promote corn plant growth was evaluated in combination with chemical fertilizer (CF) or organic fertilizer (OF). The highest spore number of 7×109 CFU g−1 fresh weight was obtained under the following optimal parameters: material ratio of 50% (stevia residue:rice bran=1:1), pH value of 3.0 (amended with 6.67% amino acids), initial moisture content of 60%, inoculum size of 10%, material thickness of 3 cm and an incubation time of 4 days.
