- Abstract
In 1989, the Texas Alliance for Science, Technology, and Mathematics Education began placing teachers at industry sites as part of its Texas Teacher Internship Program (TTIP). TTIP is a competitive program for science, technology, and mathematics teachers who serve as summer interns at industry and university sites in order to experience real-world applications of the subjects they teach. In 1996, a total of 12 teachers interned at seven sites and were required to develop a curriculum implementation plan (CIP) which illustrated how they would translate the summer experience into the subsequent year's classroom curricula. This document is a compilation of the curriculum implementation plans developed by the teachers. Topics include measurement errors, physical science/environmental science, composite science, biology, chemistry, ecology, technology, astronomy, geology, life science, mathematics, and endocrinology.
