Introduction: Hospital atmosphere and managerial support during the COVID-19 pandemic are important factors in determining the quality of nursing care, however, support that is not provided properly can cause work stress, causing burnout syndrome which results in low quality of work. The purpose of this study was to explain the relationship between managerial support and hospital atmosphere with burnout syndrome of nurses at COVID-19 unit. Methods: The research design was correlational descriptive with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 64 nurses at COVID-19 unit at the referral hospital for COVID-19 patients in Surabaya who handle COVID-19 patients directly for at least 2 months and treat COVID-19 patients at least 1-2 patients every day in the isolation room were selected through a simple random sampling method. The variables in this study were managerial support, hospital atmosphere, and burnout syndrome. Perceived managerial support was measured by the Managerial Support Questionnaire, the Hospital Atmosphere Questionnaire for perceived hospital atmosphere, and the Maslach Burnout Inventory to measure burnout syndrome. The results were analyzed by descriptive analysis and logistic regression test with a significance value of p≤ 0.05. Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between managerial support (p = 0.027) and hospital atmosphere (p = 0.026) with burnout syndrome. The relationship between managerial support and hospital atmosphere is negative. The higher the managerial support and hospital atmosphere, the lower the burnout syndrome level. Conclusion: High managerial support and a good hospital atmosphere can reduce burnout syndrome among nurses at COVID-19 unit. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for hospitals in preventing nurse burnout syndrome so that the quality of service increases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Blood glucose levels must be reasonable to prevent diabetes mellitus. An excessive mental workload and chronic stress can encourage the hormone cortisol to increase the glucose level in the blood. This study aimed to determine the relationship between mental workload and stress on blood glucose level among the lecturers who were structural officers who work at the university in Surabaya, Indonesia. Methods: It was a cross-sectional study. The subjects were selected from 14 faculties of the University. The total number of subjects was 109 lecturers working as structural officials. The data was collected using a questionnaire to examine mental workload and stress level. The subjects were examined at random for their blood glucose check. The data was analyzed using the Rank Spearman test with a significance level of <0.05. Results: It shows that there is a correlation between mental workload (p=0.003) and stress level (p=0.003) with blood glucose level among the lecturers working as structural officers at the university. Conclusion: A high workload followed by a high level of stress as a lecturer and structural officer working at the university results in a reasonably high tendency to experience an increase in blood glucose level, and thus the risk of developing diabetes mellitus. Acne vulgaris is a significant problem in adolescents. 85% of adolescents are affected with a certain severity and most often appear at the age of 15-18 years, both in men and women. Acne vulgaris skin disorders are problems that can cause feelings of inferiority, anxiety, and stress in someone, especially in adolescents. Most adolescents have insufficient knowledge. They do not know about other factors that cause acne vulgaris, management, and how to prevent it. This study aims to examine the relationship between knowledge and stress levels due to acne vulgaris in adolescents. This study uses a cross-sectional research design. The total sample in this study was 46 respondents, which were determined using inclusion criteria. The independent variable is knowledge of acne vulgaris. Moreover, the level of stress due to acne vulgaris is the dependent variable in this study. Data collection in this study using a questionnaire. Analysis of the data in this study used the statistical test of Spearman's RHO with a significant level of α = 0.05. The results of the relationship between knowledge and stress levels due to acne vulgaris showed p=0.036 and r=0.268. It can be concluded that knowledge has a relationship with the level of stress due to acne vulgaris in adolescents. Further research needs to be done by promoting a more significant number of respondents and better data collection tools to produce more accurate research results. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Recurrence for diabetic foot ulcers is realy high. Recurrence of diabetic foot ulcers can be prevent through self-care and self-management of diabetes. As DM patients require constant monitoring by a nurse, foot care behavior and diabetic self-management can be quite tough for nurses. Patients with diabetes mellitus are typically less exposed to training about their condition and have less access to healthcare. Aim: This systematic review aims to examine the mobile health applications are good to access information in the health sector, enhance self-management abilities, make it easier for patients to communicate with nurses, and boost patient compliance with the management of diabetes mellitus for prevent recurrence the diabetic foot ulcer. Design: Literature search was done using Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed, and Web of Science. Criteria search covered the last five years and focused on the period of vulnerability from 2017 to 2022. This systematic review, a critical evaluation will be done based on the guidelines from The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). The first study selection used the PRISMA guidelines. Data sources: This systematic review examines 15 journal articles selected from a total of 105 journal articles. Results: Using a mobile health app can help people with Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 take better care of their feet and manage their diabetes, which can prevent diabetic foot ulcer recurrence. Conclusion: The development of mobile health apps and virtual consultations through telemedicine is a good way to prevent diabetic foot ulcers from recurrence in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Asthma is a chronic inflammation of the airway. The breathing technique developed to control asthma is the Buteyko breathing technique. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Buteyko's breathing technique on decreasing the degree of shortness in asthma patients. The design of this study was the Quasy Experiment. Respondents were 18 divided into control groups and treatment groups by the Consecutive Sampling technique. The independent variable was Buteyko's breathing technique. The dependent variable was the degree of shortness. Data was taken with practice every day for a week and observation sheets. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank statistical test, Paired T-test, Mann Whitney, and Independent T-test. In the treatment group there were differences before and after the intervention in: respiratory frequency (p = 0.000), pulse (p = 0.001), and degree of shortness (p = 0.014), except for the use of respiratory muscles (p = 1.000). In the control group, differences were found, respiratory rate (p = 0.002), degree of difficulty (p = 0.046), except for pulses (p = 0.908), use of respiratory muscles (1.000). Independent T-test showed there were differences in respiratory rates (RR) (p = 0.019), pulse (p = 0.001) in the treatment or control group, while Mann Whitney showed no difference in the degree of shortness (p = 0.011) and there was no difference in the use of breathing muscles (p = 1.000). The results showed that there was an influence of Buteyko's breathing technique on decreasing the degree of shortness in asthma. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
