The Musicality Assessment Test is a notation-based examination covering three concepts: ear training, listening, and reading. Due to the incorporation of these three conceptual domains, the musicality test can only be effectively conducted when the test questions are presented in audio format. The aim of this study was to innovate the testing process as a means of assessing music learning outcomes through an audio-based format. This study employed qualitative descriptive method, and utilized Sibelius and Cubase software as technological tools. The design phase began with the preparation of the structured test instrument, followed by the recording process using Sibelius software. This involved recording questions related to rhythmic, pitch, interval, melodic, scale, and harmonic notation, which were then transformed into MIDI format. Cubase software was employed for combining human voice with MIDI in the recording process. The testing instrument was meticulously crafted as an innovative product, ready for trial to measure the musicality abilities of test takers. The test tool was designed as an innovative product, poised for use in assessing the musicality skills of test takers.

The trumpet is an ancient instrument made of a sheep’s horn that is found in the Bible. In worship at the Higher Than Ever Church, the trumpet instrument is combined with modern musical instruments. Dealing with the background, the main focus of this study is related to symbolic interaction in the playing of Trumpet. The qualitative method using a research approach to the sociology of art approach was used in this research. The data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Checking the validity of the data used source triangulation and data analysis used the contextualization of the synthesis model. The finding indicated that the symbolic interaction of playing the Trumpet started with Bible study activities, then it was conveyed to the congregation through the activity of Family Altar and other congregational activities, then after that the Trumpet instrument was played in the main worship ceremony. The conclusion has showed that symbolic interaction occurs between the Pastoral team and God through Bible study. Further, it is also between the Pastoral team and the leaders of the Family Altar, between the head of the Family Altar and church members, between the Trumpet players. Congregation and God when the worship ceremony is taking place.

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of demonstration and drill methods to practice music skills for junior high school students in the perspective of social interaction. This research used descriptive qualitative research methods using musicology, sociology and art education approaches. The data sources used were based on the results of interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicated that social interaction in learning involves teachers and students. The application of the drill method in learning music ensemble material is carried out by the teacher by presenting learning material to students through repeated exercises so that students can master the subject matter and are skilled in carrying out the exercises given as a form of effectiveness in using the drill method. In practicing musical ensemble skills, the drill method makes students more organized, thorough, and sharp in memory. Social interaction in learning involves teachers and students. These interactions include ; 1) Interaction in learning, 2) teacher-student interaction, 3) student-student interaction. Interaction in learning occurs in the learning process.Teacher-student interaction occurs when students communicate with teachers. This study aims to identify, reveal, analyze and describe adaptation of Andy Irawan Music's efforts to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic in the wedding music industry. The author uses an interdisciplinary approach, by borrowing theories and concepts from the disciplines of musicology, sociology, and economics. The object in this study is industry and adaptation, with the subject Andy Irawan Music. The research design uses an interpretive case study located in Semarang. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that Andy Irawan Music could adapt during the Covid-19 pandemic. Adaptation efforts made by Andy Irawan Music include appearing with new formations, optimizing the use of social media/ digital platforms, applying virtual music, following recommended health protocols, participating in wedding showcases, and creating Andy Irawan Disciples.

Wayang klitik is one of the traditional performances that are sacred as a means of bersih sendang ceremonial which is still sustainable today in Wonosoco Village, Undaan District, Kudus Regency. The purpose of this research is to examine the form of puppets and their functions in the bersih sendang ceremony. This study uses qualitative methods with interview data collection techniques, observation and document study. The data validity technique is based on credibility criteria, using data triangulation . Analysis of data is done through data collection, data reduction , data presentation, and data verification. The results of the study, regarding the shape of the wayang klitik made of flat wood formed according to the puppet character, carved and colored with simple decorative techniques, the puppet groups can be distinguished from face color , face shape , accessories, and body position. Wayang klitik in the bersih sendang ceremony has three functions, they are a personal function, a social function and a practical physical function. Personal function as a form of expression wayang klitik maker from realize his idea, social function as a means of rituals in the bersih sendang ceremony, entertainment exciting, educational media to the public, means of communication to God and dhanyang village, and physical function wayang klitik as props/puppets that portray the characters in the story that are playing.

This study aims to analyze the educational values of that is implemented through the process of interaction in the musical play of the "Pantun Pitutur" song in the Suma Budhaya group performance. This study used a qualitative method with an interdisciplinary approach to sociology and education. The data were collected by using observation, interview, and document study techniques. The data analysis procedures used data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The validity of the data used were triangulation, data sources, and theory. The results showed that in the musical play "Pantun Pitutur" there was a process of social interaction among fellow musicians, musicians with the Suma Budhaya group, and the Suma Budhaya group with the community. Social interaction occurs through communication and social contact symbolically by using language, signs, and body language. Social contact in this performance is primary and positive. The social interaction process that was impledmented contains several educational values to the community. The educational values include; 1). Religious Value; 2). Cooperation Value; 3). Pluralist Value; and 4). Responsibility Value. The results of this study can be used as a reference regarding the study of educational values.

Singing activities are general activities that seem very easy. It could be said that anyone can sing. However, to be able to sing well and correctly seems to need to be learned. For Junior High Schools in Indonesia, singing activities are included in the teaching material of cultural arts sub music material. This study aims to “analyze how singing activities are taught in classes on learning Art and sub music material”. The approach of this research is interdisciplinary which involves music disciplines and music learning. The research method applied is interpretive qualitative. The research location is Semarang, by involving Semarang Junior High School Students and Teachers as the subject of research. Data collection techniques used in this research is observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data validity technique is using data source triangulation. Data analysis techniques used in this research are interactive flow. The results showed that teachers taught singing, both in classes Vll, Vlll, and Vlll. Singing activity for class Vll focused on basic singing techniques. The eighth grade is focused on singing, whose vocals or singing techniques are more applied to singing local songs and Nusantara songs. Meanwhile, singing activity in class VIII is more focused on improvising any song. This study concludes that teachers always emphasize the use of western song singing models as a basic technique, regardless of the type of song used in the learning process.

KKG SD gugus Dipayuda merupakan salah gugus yang ada di Banjarnegara. KKG SD untuk setiap gugus di Kabupaten Banjarnegara semuanya aktif menjalankan tugas kegugusannya, termasuk gugus Dipayuda. Banyak hal yang dilakukakan dalam upaya meningkatkan keprofesionalan guru itu termasuk keinginan untuk dapat menciptakan lagu-lagu yang bertema pendidikan. Permasalahan yang muncul dalam pengabdian ini adalah “bagaimana para guru gugus Dipayuda dapat membuahkan karya cipta lagu yang sesuai dengan tema pembelajaran?”. Metode kegiatan pada pengabdian kepada masyarakat dijalankan dengan cara pelatihan pembuatan lagu secara klasikal. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat menujukkan, keantosiasan para peserta pengabdian sebagai insan gugus Diayuda untuk dapat mencipta lagu sesuai tema pembelajaran sangat tinggi terlihat dari usaha-usaha mereka dalam proses pelatihan. Sekalipun demikian para peserta masih perlu belajar keras agar karya ciptanya dapat mudah diterima oleh para murid dengan sekali dinyanyikan merangsang siswa untuk menirukan.

Media ajar berupa nyanyian atau lagu dipandang sangat penting untuk membantu pencapaian tujuan pendidikan yang dilakukan dalam suatu proses belajar mengajar baik formal maupun nonformal. Salah satu media ajar yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu anak-anak prasekolah dalam memahami pesan pendidikan adalah lagu anak-anak. Tujuan pokok penelitian ini adalah menguji penciptaan lagu anak-anak dikaitkan dengan daya gunanya untuk menyampaikan pesan pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode terapan. Subjek penelitian adalah para guru prasekolah. Langkah uji dilakukan dengan mengambil cara yang paling sederhana, yakni pertama, memperdengarkan lagu. Kedua, menirukan lagu yang diperdengarkan dan disampaikan pesan lagu dalam bentuk nyanyian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para guru tampak tertarik dengan lagu yang diperdengarkan. Selain itu, guru dapat dengan mudah menirukan lagu yang diperdengarkan dan menangkap isi atau pesan lagu. Learning material in a form of songs is considered essential to support educational purposes of a certain teaching and learning process in formal, non-formal, and informal educations. Children song is one of several types of learning material which is used to help students in understanding educational messages. The main aim of this study is to deeply examine the creation of children song and to confirm whether the children song creation has been in line with its usability− which is to deliver educational messages to children. Method implemented in this research was developmental research, while the research subjects were preschool teachers. Stages in trying out the songs to the research subjects comprised three steps. First, subjects listened to the songs. Second, subjects imitated the songs and captured the meaning behind it. Third, subjects understood and analyzed the songs. Results showed that the teachers, first, were interested to the songs. Second, teachers found no difficulties in imitating the songs. Lastly, teachers were able to easily understand the message delivered through the songs.

Pendidikan Dasar di Indonesia memberikan mata pelajaran seni budaya yang di dalamnya tercakup materi musik. Pendidikan Dasar tingkat Sekolah Dasar pada kurikulum 2013 edisi revisi 2016 pembelajarannya diubah dalam bentuk pembelajaran tematik namun demikian musik tetap digunakan sebagai alat pendidikan. Untuk tingkatan Sekolah Menengah Pertama tetap menggunakan nama mata pelajaran seni budaya yang di dalamnya tercakup materi musik.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kebutuhan dan pengembangan materi ajar seni budaya sub materi musik untuk Pendidikan Dasar SD dan SMP. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah research development. Lokasi penelitian, Kota dan Kabupaten Semarang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan treangulasi data. Teknik analisis data menggunakan alur analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, materi ajar seni budaya sub materi musik dalam praktik pembelajarannya dikembangkan oleh setiap guru. Secara menonjol para guru Sekolah Dasar selalu mengganti lirik lagu yang sudah ada diganti dengan lirik materi pelajaran untuk memasukkan pesan pendidikan yang diinginkan oleh guru. Untuk Sekolah Menengah Pertama membutuhkan media-media tentang musik lokal dan atau daerah serta media-media yang berhubungan dengan musik diatonis, baik untuk teknik vokal atau permainan instrumen.

This study investigates how primary school teachers without musical backgrounds create educational songs to support thematic learning under Indonesian Kurikulum Merdeka. Thematic learning aims to integrate various subjects into cohesive themes, fostering student-centered learning (SCL) and emphasizing active engagement and critical thinking. Although the government provided the guiding textbooks, teachers face challenges in implementing SCL. Eventually, they often revert to conventional, teacher-centered methods. Previous research indicates that songs can serve as effective educational tools, but there is still a lack of thematic songs that align with the curriculum's specific themes. Using a case study approach, this research involved classroom observations, document analysis, and interviews with two first-grade teachers who developed songs for an environmental theme. The study found that teachers could create educational songs by deriving lyrics from teaching materials and improvising melodies, although they needed formal musical notation skills. Teachers and students then used these songs in classroom instruction, engaging in singing and physical activities. Despite inconsistencies in musical performance, the findings indicated that students were enthusiastic and better understood the material through these songs. The study highlights teachers' adaptive nature in leveraging available resources to meet educational objectives and emphasizes the importance of integrating arts, particularly music, into educational practices. The research contributes to the broader discourse on educational innovation, suggesting that even teachers without musical training can effectively create and use educational songs to enhance learning. Empowering teachers with resources and training in songwriting could further enrich thematic learning, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students. This approach aligns with the goals of the Kurikulum Merdeka, supporting holistic educational reforms and improving learning outcomes in Indonesian primary education. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
