To explore the effect of the Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) cycle on hand hygiene and nosocomial infection quality of orthopedic medical staff.

The rate of disability due to acute osteofascial compartment syndrome (OCS) is high, and the therapeutic effect of decompressive fasciotomy is not ideal. This paper retrospectively reviews the modern treatment of OCS, including Western medicine and Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), mainly in the context of the advantages of TCM in the treatment process of decompressive fasciotomy or conservative treatment to the patients who are suffering from OCS. It was found that TCM treatment reduced the levels of serum creatine kinase (CK), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), and aspartate aminotransferase (AST); it is beneficial to the elimination of swelling and pain. TCM adjunctive therapy promotes patients’ postoperative functional recovery and decreases the occurrence of fasciotomy in patients; TCM can relieve tissue hypoxia of compartments and prevent necrosis of muscle and nerve tissue. TCM treatment improves the quality of medical service and ensures the safety of OCS patients. This paper aims to summarize the function of TCM in the treatment of OCS, provide reference for the clinical treatment of OCS, and improve the nursing/medical outcomes of OCS.

Objective: This study aimed to investigated the effect of ice-temperature vacuum drying on the powder quality of selenium-rich Rugao black pakchoi. Methods: After pretreatment, the fresh black pakchoi was dried to the moisture content of (5.0±0.5) %, and the physical and chemical indexes were investigated, comparing to the control groups of hot-air drying, vacuum drying and freeze-vacuum drying. Results: The vitamin C content of vacuum drying at ice temperature was 554.60 mg/100 g, and the retention rate reached 83.96%, which was 43.11%, 33.57% and 1.61% higher than that of hot-air drying, vacuum drying and freeze-vacuum drying, respectively. Glutathione peroxidase had little activity loss and the best purity maintenance. The retention rates of total phenols and total flavonoids were 59.69% and 60.58%, respectively, which were better than the other three groups. In terms of microstructure, the powder of ice-temperature vacuum drying group was well-distributed, with a smooth and flat surface and less debris. Compared with the other three groups, the ice-temperature vacuum drying group could maintain the original dark green color, and the rehydration and solubility were improved. Conclusion: The ice-temperature vacuum drying process can minimally affect the Rugao black pakchoi powder, and the nutritional quality of this powder is the highest.

Objective To observe the detection rate, morphological characteristics and deposition degree of pathological trans⁃activation response DNA binding protein 43 (TDP⁃43) in several common neurodegenerative diseases, and to explore its pathological significance. Methods A total of 15 cases with a history of hospitalization in the Second Medical Center, Chinese PLA General Hospital from January 1994 to September 2019 were retrospectively collected, including 5 cases of Alzheimer's disease (AD), 3 cases of Parkinson's disease (PD), 2 cases of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), and 5 cases of normal aging brain. HE staining, Lucas fast blue (LFB) staining, Gallyas⁃Braak silver staining, and immunohistochemical staining of β⁃amyloid (Aβ), AT8, phosphorylated TDP⁃43 and α⁃synuclein (α⁃Syn) were performed for amygdala tissue sections. The pathological morphological characteristics of pathological TDP⁃43 protein was observed under a light microscope, and the pathological TDP⁃43 protein was graded by semi⁃quantitative method. Results Phosphorylated TDP⁃43 antibody staining was found in 5/15 of aging brain amygdala tissue, including 2 cases of AD, one case of PD, and 2 cases of normal aging brain. Among them, severe pathological TDP⁃43 protein deposition and mild short neurodystrophy filaments were found in the amygdala of 2/5 cases of AD, mainly neuronal cytoplasmic inclusion bodies. Cytoplasmic inclusions and short neurodystrophy filaments in rare neurons of amygdala in 1/3 cases of PD. Rare or mild neuronal cytoplasmic inclusions and rare short neurodystrophy filaments were found in the amygdala of 2/5 normal aging brain. Two cases of PSP showed negative staining for phosphorylated TDP⁃43 antibody in amygdala. No long amygdala neurodystrophy filaments were found in the 15 patients. No glial cytoplasmic inclusions and neuronal intranuclear inclusions were found in PD, PSP and normal aging brain. Conclusions Pathological TDP⁃43 protein is most severe in the amygdala of AD and may accelerate cognitive decline in AD or lower the threshold of cognitive dysfunction.

The resonance effect of special long-period ground motions to (super) high-rise buildings is significant, which is likely to cause serious damage to these long-period structures. Therefore, the influence of long-period ground motions cannot be ignored in the seismic design of long-period structures. To provide theoretical basis and quantitative criteria for the selection and evaluation of long-period ground motion records, a quantitative bounded method based on the normalized acceleration spectra is proposed. Firstly, two types of long-period ground motions with reliable information are selected for this research, and the baseline drifting on acceleration, velocity and displacement time-history curve are corrected. Then, the Fourier amplitude spectrum and Power spectral density amplitude of special long-period ground motions are analyzed. Lastly, a quantitative boundary parameter to distinguish near-fault pulse-like (NFPL) and far-field harmonic (FFH) ground motions from common ground motions are discussed. Study results are obtained as follows: The frequency distribution of special long-period ground motions is relatively concentrated in low-frequency band, and the frequency distribution of common ground motions is relatively dispersed in medium-high-frequency band. Power spectral density amplitude and Fourier amplitude spectrum are the specific performance of energy distribution about earthquake records from the aspect of frequency domain, and they have no interrelation with structural seismic response under earthquake excitation. The specific earthquake records whose weighted average value of acceleration amplification factor is less than 0.2 are known as common ground motions. The specific earthquake records whose weighted average value is between in 0.2~0.6 are known as NFPL ground motions. The specific earthquake records whose weighted average value is beyond 0.6 are known as FFH ground motions. It would provide reference for the selection of long-period ground motions during seismic analysis of long-period such as super high-rise building structures.

TiO2 nanotubes arrays with dominant (001) facets were fabricated by multi-anodic oxidation technology. The influence factor of the electrolyte composition on the ratio of different facets for anatase TiO2 and the bioactivity were investigated. Besides, the characterization of the surface morphologies and crystal structures were analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD),etc. Finally, the bioactivity was estimated by the CaP salt deposition vis biomin-eralization process and protein adsorption experiment. The results show that the relative proportions of different facets in the TiO2 nanotubes can be adjusted by changing the content of H2O in the electrolyte. The (004) facet texture coefficient of TiO2 nanotubes arrays prepared in 2% H2O(volume fraction) electrolyte reaches up to 4.76. The TiO2 nanotubes with dominant (001) facets can accelerate the deposition of hydroxyapatite and raise the amount of protein adsorption in the humanoid environment by providing more active sites for biomineralization and protein adsorption. The TiO2 nanotubes with a higher proportion of (001) facets have the more excellent biological activity.

In order to solve trace-level steroid estrogen pollution in groundwater and surface water, a SPE-GC-MS approach to determine five steroid estrogens (SEs), E1, 17α-E2, 17β-E2, EE2 and E3, by optimizing of solid phase extraction (SPE), derivatization conditions and the secondary purification process of complex samples has been developed. The results show that Oasis HLB column, ethyl acetate elution and derivatizing at 40℃ for 20 min can achieve the best results for extraction. Moreover, the Generik NAX column activated by methyl is suitable for the secondary purification of complex samples. The linear ranges of E1, 17α-E2, and 17β-E2 are 5-1000 ng/L, whereas those of EE2 and E3 are 10-1000 ng/L. The detection and quantitation limits are 2-3 ng/L and 6.5-10 ng/L, respectively. The standard solution added recoveries of water samples range from 80% to 120%. The relative standard deviations of daily peak areas in the SEs determination range from 6.8% to 10%. This method was used to determine the SEs pollution levels of waters from pond, river, groundwater and sewage treatment plant effluent and results show that this detection technique can be effectively applied to the identification and evaluation of estrogen risk in surface water and groundwater samples.

To improve the computational efficiency of system feature extraction, reduce the occupied memory space, and simplify the program design, a modified gradient descent method on Stiefel manifold is proposed based on the optimization algorithm of geometry frame on the Riemann manifold. Different geodesic calculation formulas are used for different scenarios. A polynomial is also used to lie close to the geodesic equations. JiuZhaoQin-Horner polynomial algorithm and the strategies of line-searching technique and change of the step size of iteration are also adopted. The gradient descent algorithm on Stiefel manifold applied in Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is discussed in detail as an example of system feature extraction. Theoretical analysis and simulation experiments show that the new method can achieve superior performance in both the convergence rate and calculation efficiency while ensuring the unitary column orthogonality. In addition, it is easier to implement by software or hardware.
