Microglia mediated neuronal inflammation has been reported to be responsible for neurodegenerative disease. Isoquercitrin (IQC), widely found in fruits, vegetables and foods, has high bioavailability and offers many benefits of humans. Although IQC has been shown to possess pleiotropic biological activities, but its anti-inflammatory mechanism in microglia at molecular level remains largely unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate IQC’s inhibition on inflammation within BV2 microglia cells induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and the underlying mechanism.

Glucocorticoid-induced ocular hypertension(GIOH)is a condition characterized by elevated intraocular pressure caused by glucocorticoids. The long-term presence of GIOH may lead to optic nerve damage and visual field defects, eventually progressing to glucocorticoid-induced glaucoma(GIG), which can potentially cause blindness. Glucocorticoids primarily exert their biological effects by mediating glucocorticoid receptor(GR), while also involving factors such as transforming growth factor(TGF)-β, Wnt, and Rho in the formation of GIOH. In-depth exploration of the pathological changes and related molecular mechanisms of the trabecular meshwork in GIOH provides an important theoretical basis for understanding the pathogenesis and treatment of GIOH. Therefore, this article provides a review of the pathological changes and molecular mechanisms of the trabecular meshwork in GIOH, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for further research on the pathological mechanisms and treatment of GIOH.

We report a case of a young female patient with fatigue, hypokalemia, and hyperglycemia. She had past-history of diabetes mellitus, and was admitted to hospital with a history of fatigue and hypokalemia for 5 years. The patient's examination indicated hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia, metabolic alkalosis, hypocalciuria, and SLC12A3 gene pathogenic mutation. The diagnosis was Gitelman syndrome. Potassium and magnesium supplements were given to improve the patient's fatigue. Serum potassium and magnesium were normal. The blood glucose reached standard after treatment with oral hypoglycemic drugs. This article incorporates literature review to sort out the diagnosis and treatment of Gitelman syndrome, in order to provide feasible reference for clinicians.

Growth substrates are essential for aquaponic systems and play an important role in vegetable growth and water quality. In this study, we explored an innovative combination of coconut bran and coconut shell biochar (CSB) as a composite growth substrate for lettuce cultivation in aquaponic systems. The study included the control (100 % coconut bran as the growth substrate) and treatment groups (T1–T5; containing 10 %, 20 %, 30 %, 40 %, and 50 % CSB as the growth substrate, respectively). The substrate properties; lettuce growth performance; and soil enzyme activity, nitrogen content, and abundance of microbial communities in the substrate were analyzed to determine the optimal substrate. Our findings indicated that CSB incorporation significantly altered the properties of the substrate, resulting in increased dry and bulk densities, pH, and water-holding capacity, and decreased electrical conductivity, water-absorption capacity, and porosity. Furthermore, the fresh weight of lettuce was notably increased in the treatment groups. The activities of fluorescein diacetate hydrolase, urease, nitrate reductase, and hydroxylamine reductase initially increased and further decreased, reaching the maximum in the T3 group. Conversely, the activity of nitrite reductase and contents of available nitrogen, nitrate-nitrogen, and ammonium-nitrogen in the substrates initially decreased and further increased, with the minimum values observed in the T3 group. The microbial sequencing results indicated that CSB incorporation significantly increased the microbial diversity and relative abundance of microorganisms associated with nitrogen transformation. Moreover, 30 % CSB incorporation exhibited the greatest effect on lettuce growth, with a 34.5 % and 31.6 % increase in fresh weight compared to the control during the growth and harvest periods, respectively. This study indicated the enormous potential of biochar in the research and development of green technologies for substrate amendment in aquaponic systems.

The morphological development of rice (Oryza sativa L.) leaves is closely related to plant architecture, physiological activities, and resistance. However, it is unclear whether there is a co-regulatory relationship between the morphological development of leaves and adaptation to drought environment. In this study, a drought-sensitive, roll-enhanced, and narrow-leaf mutant (renl1) was induced from a semi-rolled leaf mutant (srl1) by ethyl methane sulfonate (EMS), which was obtained from Nipponbare (NPB) through EMS. Map-based cloning and functional validation showed that RENL1 encodes a cellulose synthase, allelic to NRL1/OsCLSD4. The RENL1 mutation resulted in reduced vascular bundles, vesicular cells, cellulose, and hemicellulose contents in cell walls, diminishing the water-holding capacity of leaves. In addition, the root system of the renl1 mutant was poorly developed and its ability to scavenge reactive oxygen species (ROS) was decreased, leading to an increase in ROS after drought stress. Meanwhile, genetic results showed that RENL1 and SRL1 synergistically regulated cell wall components. Our results revealed a theoretical basis for further elucidating the molecular regulation mechanism of cellulose on rice drought tolerance, and provided a new genetic resource for enhancing the synergistic regulation network of plant type and stress resistance, thereby realizing simultaneous improvement of multiple traits in rice.

[Objective] Mineral resources are the foundation of national economic development and the important guarantee of national security, and their security problems have become increasingly prominent. It is of great significance to systematize the research on mineral resource security. [Methods] This study took the publications on mineral resource security published by Chinese scholars from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI), and Web of Science databases as samples. By using bibliometric analysis, content analysis, and literature induction methods and visualized knowledge network analysis tools such as CiteSpace, the current situation, evolution, and hotspots of mineral resource security research are discussed. [Results] The results show that the research contents in the mineral resource security field are diversified and cover a broad range of themes. The development showed an inverted U-shaped trend and has experienced three stagesthe initial period, the rapid growth period, and the transitional development period. The research hotspots include exploration and utilization of mineral resources, security of mineral resource industrial chain and supply chain, mineral resource strategy, and international research on mineral resource security. [Conclusion] The sustainable supply of mineral resources throughout the industrial chain, risk assessment, construction of strategic development pattern, efficient recycling, among other aspects may become the research hotspots and challenges in the field of mineral resource security in the future. Meanwhile, the research on the exploration, development, and utilization of mineral resources, mineral resource security strategy, coordination mechanism between mineral resource benefits and environment protection should be strengthened, in order to provide a theoretical basis for further improving the mineral resource security system.

The cell-free biosensor is a tool designed to detect trace substances based on a cell-free system, which solves the problems of the traditional cell-based biosensor including having no ability to detect toxic substances, long response time, being controlled by living cells, and inconvenient operation. In recent years, cell-free biosensors have attracted extensive attention for their wide detection range, fast response speed, high sensitivity and portability. In this paper, the construction and characteristics of different types of cell-free sensors are reviewed. In addition, their applications in the detection of metal ions, pesticide residues and veterinary drug residues are introduced, and future prospects also are discussed.

ObjectiveTo investigate the source of infection and the pathogenesis of listeriosis monocytosis in a case of maternal listeriosis， and to provide evidence for the prevention and control of listeriosis.MethodsField epidemiological investigation was carried out to collect case information， blood samples of patients， food samples in refrigerators and kitchen environment of families， food samples from farm product markets near families were collected， and Listeria monocytogenes in samples from different sources were detected.ResultsPatient often ate Chinese cold dishes purchased from farm product markets （5~7 times a week）， and made Chinese cold dishes at home or cut again. The food stored in the refrigerator of his family was not cooked， and the raw fruit roted in the refrigerator. Of the kitchen two chopping board unripe did not divide， clean disinfect not in time， kitchen operating surface existed cross pollution. The results showed that a total of 3 strains of Listeria monocytogenes were isolated from the 11 samples， one from the patient’s blood sample and two from food smear and cutting board smear in the kitchen refrigerator. It was suggested that this case was caused by the consumption of contaminated food and infected the fetus through the placental barrier.ConclusionThis case was the first successful attempt to trace the source of listeriosis monocytosis infection in food and environment in Fengtai District. Listeria monocytogenes were detected in the raw meat， carrots， and kitchen samples in the refrigerator of the patient’s family. It was clear that the cross-contamination of food and environment caused the infection of listeria monocytogenes in the patient. Early recognition and treatment in hospitalis was an important guarantee to avoid adverse outcomes in neonates.

MXenes, as a new 2D transition metal carbides/nitrides/carbonitrides, have wide potential application in physics, chemistry, material science and nanotechnology fields. Since MXenes inevitably possess defects and —O, —OH, —F terminal groups during the preparation, behaving high conductivity and large surface area, MXenes have a good electron transfer rate and can be used as an excellent electrochemical catalyst. In this review, the various synthesis methods and development of different doping types of MXenes were introduced. The application and mechanism of MXenes in electrocatalytic hydrogen production, oxygen production, oxygen reduction, CO2 reduction and nitrogen reduction processes were mainly discussed. It was pointed out that the preparation methods of MXenes should possess the characteristics of environmental friendliness, morphology controllability, the inoxidizability and high adjustability, meanwhile, different types of MXenes should be applied to different electrocatalytic reactions.

This study aims to review the research progress on the effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation （rTMS） on cognitive function in generalized anxiety disorder （GAD） with the view of providing references for clinical application. As a common chronic mental disorder， GAD affects the cognitive function， the quality of life and social function of patients. Although first-line treatment is safe and effective for the majority of patients， its effect of improving cognitive function is unclear. As a non-invasive and safe physiotherapy technology， rTMS is expected to provide a new option for the clinical treatment of GAD patients. This review focuses on the characteristics of cognitive function of GAD， the current status of first-line therapy and the treatment of rTMS.

An ideal leaf shape is beneficial to the yield of rice. Molecular understanding of the leaf primordia and polarity establishment plays a significant role in exploring the genetic regulatory network of leaf morphogenesis. In recent years, researchers have cloned an array of coding genes and a few non-coding small RNAs involved in rice leaf development through regulating the development of leaf primordia, vascular bundles, sclerenchyma cells, bulliform cells, cell walls and epidermis cells. These genes and their interactions play critical roles in rice leaf development through the determination and regulatory role in gene expression, and their coordination with other genetic networks or signal pathways. But the relationship among these genes is poorly defined and the underlying network is still unclear. In this review, we introduced the regulatory pathways of leaf primordium development and leaf polarity establishment, mainly the relationship between cell development mechanism and leaf polarity establishment, focusing on how leaf tissue affects leaf shape. Hopefully, the regulation network reviewed here has immediate implications for future research and genomic design breeding.

No-tillage (UT) and tillage (TL) influence melon (Cucumis melo L.) production. However, the mechanism of improving the soil quality under UT in melon production is still unavailable. In this study, we attempted to explore the effects of UT and TL treatments on soil fertility and the microbial abundance and diversity in planting melon under greenhouse condition. Soil properties were determined and the bacterial v4-v5 16S rRNA and the fungal internal transcribed spacer gene were pyrosequenced by extracting greenhouse soil DNA. Results showed that the two treatments had different effects on nutrient uptake in melon plants under facility conditions. Additional nitrogen (N) was absorbed in the leaves and fruit in UT treatment. However, the N content in the UT treatment was kept as similar to that of the TL treatment. The phosphorus (P) contents in melon plant leaves and fruits in the UT treatment were higher than those in the TL treatment. High potassium (K) contents were observed in fruits and melon stem under the UT and TL treatments, respectively. Soil pH, organic matter and the available N influenced the bacterial and fungal distributions. The total N, total P and total K in melon plants were correlated with the bacterial and fungal groups in facility soils. The UT treatment had a substantial effect on the microbial diversity in soils planted with melon. Our study provided insights into the response of soil fertility and microbial structures to UT and TL treatments under greenhouse soils, which may aid in managing greenhouse soil quality.

Feminist theorists raise questions about hypotheses that are still common in the teaching fields that consist mostly of women. Education is a force that allows women to have expanded choices in the approach to capabilities and The World Bank is promoting education for women as it contributes to human capital. The purpose of this paper is to discuss women education, the teaching profession, and feminization of teaching in Ghana. It highlights and analyze why women are concerned about education, aspects of women’s education in Ghana, and why women are interested in teaching. Findings indicated that Ghanaian women are into teaching because of numerous reasons but a few of them include, the acceptance in the teaching profession i.e. they feel accepted and there is no discrimination. In addition, there is job security in the profession.

We report the disease characteristics, diagnosis, and treatment of granulomatous orchitis. A 38-year-old man presented with a history of intermittent swelling, pain, and discomfort in the right testicle of 3 days’ duration. Unenhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the testis and scrotum revealed an oval mass in the right testis measuring approximately 17 mm in diameter, with clear borders and a target ring-like appearance from periphery to center. T1-weighted imaging (T1WI) showed uniform low-intensity signals, and T2WI showed mixed high- and low-intensity signals. Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) signals were iso-intense, and the outer ring on enhanced scans showed progressive enhancement. We performed radical resection of the right testis under combined spinal–epidural anesthesia. The pathological diagnosis was granulomatous right orchitis. Two months postoperatively, ultrasonography showed no testis and epididymal echo signals in the right scrotum, and no obvious abnormalities; color Doppler blood flow imaging (CDFI) findings were normal. Granulomatous orchitis is rare in clinical practice, and the cause is unknown. The disease involves non-specific inflammation; however, it is currently believed that antibiotics and steroids are ineffective for conservative treatment, and orchiectomy should be actively performed.

The power-split hybrid electric vehicle (PS-HEV) has multiple working modes to maintain high operation efficiency according to different conditions. The main modes involved in the vehicle driving process are pure electric mode and the hybrid driving mode. Because the electromechanical coupling problem is involved in the above two working modes, the transmission system exhibits strong non-linear characteristics. If the operation range of the engine and motor are unreasonable, the rotor system will vibrate and become instability. In this paper, the non-linear dynamic equations of the electromechanical coupling of the transmission system are established for electric driving mode and hybrid driving mode. The closed-homoclinic phase trajectory equation at the center point of the disturbance-free Hamilton system is determined. The chaotic thresholds for the pure electric and hybrid driving modes are derived through the Melnikov’s method to obtain the optimal working domain of the engine and motor. Finally, numerical simulation analysis is conducted to verify the feasibility of the work domain optimization scheme. Simulation results show that the proposed engine and motor working area optimization scheme can effectively avoid the homoclinic bifurcation in the PS-HEV during the driving process and prevent the vehicle from entering the chaotic state.

Based on the in-depth analysis of the impact of meteorological marine information on cruise missile, this paper puts forward the multi-dimensional demand analysis method of meteorological marine information supporting cruise missile combat application and the architecture design method based on MBSE, and gives the conceptual design framework of combat application system to provide information support for cruise missile combat application.

The construction of index system is the basis of equipment system contribution rate evaluation, and is also one of the main contents of equipment test and appraisal. This paper discusses the concept of systems contribution rate, introduces the evaluation process of system contribution rate of information system equipment, and gives the construction principles and ideas of information system equipment system contribution rate evaluation index system. Then, referring to the theory of operational loop, the evaluation index system of system contribution rate is given from the perspectives of system capability and system effectiveness. The evaluation index of this paper can provide decision support for the development of equipment planning system.

This paper introduces the concepts of equipment test qualification and uncertainty quantification, and the analysis framework and process of equipment test uncertainty quantification. It analyzes the data uncertainty, model uncertainty and environmental uncertainty, and studies the corresponding uncertainty quantification theory to provide technical reference for the application of uncertainty quantification technology in the field of test identification.

Physiological changes during pregnancy may alter the pharmacokinetics (PK) of antituberculosis drugs. The International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials Network P1026s was a multicenter, phase IV, observational, prospective PK and safety study of antiretroviral and antituberculosis drugs administered as part of clinical care in pregnant persons living with and without HIV. We assessed the effects of pregnancy on rifampin, isoniazid, ethambutol, and pyrazinamide PK in pregnant and postpartum (PP) persons without HIV treated for drug-susceptible tuberculosis disease. Daily antituberculosis treatment was prescribed following World Health Organization-recommended weight-band dosing guidelines. Steady-state 12-hour PK profiles of rifampin, isoniazid, ethambutol, and pyrazinamide were performed during second trimester (2T), third trimester (3T), and 2-8 of weeks PP. PK parameters were characterized using noncompartmental analysis, and comparisons were made using geometric mean ratios (GMRs) with 90% confidence intervals (CI). Twenty-seven participants were included: 11 African, 9 Asian, 3 Hispanic, and 4 mixed descent. PK data were available for 17, 21, and 14 participants in 2T, 3T, and PP, respectively. Rifampin and pyrazinamide AUC0-24 and C max in pregnancy were comparable to PP with the GMR between 0.80 and 1.25. Compared to PP, isoniazid AUC0-24 was 25% lower and C max was 23% lower in 3T. Ethambutol AUC0-24 was 39% lower in 3T but limited by a low PP sample size. In summary, isoniazid and ethambutol concentrations were lower during pregnancy compared to PP concentrations, while rifampin and pyrazinamide concentrations were similar. However, the median AUC0-24 for rifampin, isoniazid, and pyrazinamide met the therapeutic targets. The clinical impact of lower isoniazid and ethambutol exposure during pregnancy needs to be determined.
