33. Influence of NaCl on cathode performance of solid oxide fuel cells

Abstract

Degradation induced by sodium chloride in air was investigated for (La0.8Sr0.2)0.98MnO3(LSM) and La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3(LSCF) cathodes in solid oxide fuel cells(SOFC). Cell performance was measured by volatilizing NaCl to be supplied to the cathode at a constant current density of 200 mA/cm2 for up to 100 h. At 800 °C, an exposure of the cathode to 30 mg/L NaCl caused negligible degradation of LSM at least for 100 h. Slight change in the composition of the cathode materials was observed which may imply the gradual degradation of cell performance for the long-term. In addition, cell performance degradation was compared between 700 °C and 900 °C, being poisoned by 30 mg/L NaCl. Degradation was negligible for LSM cathode, while LSCF cathode showed slightly poor tolerance at 700 °C due to the decomposition of the cathode material. Further studies should be done to clarify the long-term influence of NaCl on cathode performance.

Abstract

A path-independent parameter for multiaxial fatigue damage is proposed based on the critical plane approach. Both parameters of shear strain and normal strain excursion are considered in this parameter. An equivalent strain is made with both parameters by means of the von Mises criterion. Thus a new multiaxial fatigue damage model is given based on the critical plane approach. The results show that multiaxial fatigue damage model proposed in this paper may be used under either proportional or nonproportional loading. It is used to predict multiaxial fatigue life. Errors are within a factor of 2.

Abstract

From the point of view of energy, a fundamental relationship of local stress-strain at a notch is derived. Defining K f , the fatigue notch reduction factor, in terms of such factors as cyclic behaviour of material, plastic deformation of notch root and theoretical stress concentration factor, an equation for K f taking into consideration comprehensively is proposed, and verified by the results of experimental K f and then compared with the values of K f predicted from the Neuber-Kuhn and Peterson equations.

Abstract

By studying modes of transport properties such as economy, rapid, comfort, convenient, direct access, safety, this paper established a generalized cost function based on the factors of passenger choose transportation in regional structure. This paper established a rational share rate mode by improve traditional logit model. In addition, the maximum likelihood estimation was applied to determine the related parameters. At last, a case analysis was made combined with Zhenzhou-Xi′an transportation structure and verifies the feasibility of the model.
