患儿 男，11月龄，以频繁成簇抽搐发作起病，予地西泮、苯巴比妥及丙戊酸钠联合治疗无效，每天抽搐发作数十次，起病第4天因癫痫持续状态入住重症监护病房治疗，并出现嗜睡、意识模糊、不能认人、不自主动作、偶兴奋尖叫、夜间睡眠时间减少，脑电图背景活动慢化，监测到频繁后头部起源的临床发作及电发作，脑脊液抗AMPA2受体IgG抗体阳性，诊断抗AMPA2受体脑炎。予人免疫球蛋白及激素冲击免疫治疗，加用拉考沙胺并减停丙戊酸后抽搐缓解，意识转清。临床上以频繁局灶抽搐发作伴有意识水平下降为主要表现的婴儿，应注意鉴别抗AMPA2受体脑炎，尽早启用免疫治疗改善预后至关重要。.

Malocclusion is the third most common disease in the human oral cavity, closely behind caries and periodontal diseases. Along with the cultural and socio-economic progress, demands for orthodontic treatment is increasing year by year. However, the early stage caries, a most common complication in patients receiving orthodontic treatment using fixed appliances, has become a serious challenge to the prevention of dental caries and the esthetic outcome of orthodontic treatment. The pandemic of COVID-19 in early 2020 is a big challenge to the mechanism of major epidemic prevention and control, the national public health management system, as well as medical and health resources in China. A new type of composite concrete which can be called corundum-rubble concrete (CRC) was presented to improve the resistance of protective structure to the projectile impact. Comparative experiments were conducted between CRC and reinforced concrete, and a modified Taylor model was proposed to predict the penetration depth of CRC targets. Experimental results show that CRC is much higher than reinforced concrete in both strength and hardness and shows excellent resistance to the 0.125 m-diameter projectile impact. Theoretical analyses demonstrated that the modified Taylor model’s predicted results were in good agreement with the measured values.

A new approach for prosthesis-based breast reconstruction is the use of a titanium-coated polypropylene mesh TiLOOPA retrospective study of patients undergoing prosthesis-based breast reconstruction using TiLOOPPostoperative hematoma and seroma were respectively found in one and two breasts and could be treated conservatively. In three breasts skin infection occurred immediately after surgery resulting in skin necrosis of two breasts and wound dehiscence of one breast. These three breasts were treated with mesh removal, and revisionary surgery. Increased risk of mesh removal and implant explantation were observed in case of skin infection (P = 0.011) and skin necrosis (P = 0.033). Neither patient-related characteristics including age50 years, BMI25 kg/mThis titanium-coated polypropylene mesh showed acceptable complications and could be used safely in prosthesis-based breast reconstruction by stabilizing the implant pocket. Longer follow-up data and more randomized trials are necessary to determine the clinical use of this mesh.

To compare the effect of various fluid resuscitation procedures after hemorrhagic shock on the lactic acid accumulation by network meta-analysis.A number of articles were obtained by searching the databases. Randomized control trials (RCT) were selected by two literature quality assessors; the extracted experimental data were then summarized to compare and analyze the effect of various kinds of infusion procedures at different time points on the concentration of lactic acid in the internal environment of rat models.9 articles containing 25 independent reports were enrolled. Results revealed that the accumulation of lactic acid generated in the resuscitation using hydroxyethyl starch solution or gelofusine was significantly different from the one using Ringer solution, hypertonic saline or normal salt solution (p0.05). Compared to the colloidal, the aqueous solution of pyruvate showed a slightly weaker effect in reducing the accumulation of lactic acid. The accumulation of lactic acid is severely affected by hypertonic saline, Ringer lactate solution, and balanced salt solution, i.e., the concentration of lactic acid is increasing with an augment of concentration or prolongation of treatment time.In terms of the management of lactic acid accumulation after hemorrhagic shock, the effect of colloidal solution was remarkably better than a crystalloid solution, and hypertonic saline and normal salt solution were not recommended as preferable drugs in the treatment of hemorrhagic shock.

Aspergillus nidulanshas long-been used as a model organism to gain insights into the genetic basis of asexual and sexual developmental processes both in other members of the genusAspergillus, and filamentous fungi in general. Paradigms have been established concerning the regulatory mechanisms of conidial development. However, recent studies have shown considerable genome divergence in the fungal kingdom, questioning the general applicability of findings fromAspergillus, and certain longstanding evolutionary theories have been questioned. The phylogenetic distribution of key regulatory elements of asexual reproduction inA. nidulanswas investigated in a broad taxonomic range of fungi. This revealed that some proteins were well conserved in thePezizomycotina(e.g.AbaA, FlbA, FluG, NsdD, MedA, and some velvet proteins), suggesting similar developmental roles. However, other elements (e.g.BrlA) had a more restricted distribution solely in theEurotiomycetes, and it appears that the genetic control of sporulation seems to be more complex in the aspergilli than in some other taxonomic groups of thePezizomycotina. The evolution of the velvet protein family is discussed based on the history of expansion and contraction events in the early divergent fungi. Heterologous expression of theA. nidulans abaAgene inMonascus ruberfailed to induce development of complete conidiophores as seen in the aspergilli, but did result in increased conidial production. The absence of many components of the asexual developmental pathway from members of theSaccharomycotinasupports the hypothesis that differences in the complexity of their spore formation is due in part to the increased diversity of the sporulation machinery evident in thePezizomycotina. Investigations were also made into the evolution of sex and sexuality in the aspergilli.MATloci were identified from the heterothallicAspergillus(Emericella)heterothallicusandAspergillus(Neosartorya)fennelliaeand the homothallicAspergillus pseudoglaucus(=Eurotium repens). A consistent architecture of theMATlocus was seen in these and other heterothallic aspergilli whereas much variation was seen in the arrangement ofMATloci in homothallic aspergilli. This suggested that it is most likely that the common ancestor of the aspergilli exhibited a heterothallic breeding system. Finally, the supposed prevalence of asexuality in the aspergilli was examined. Investigations were made usingA. clavatusas a representative ‘asexual’ species. It was possible to induce a sexual cycle inA. clavatusgiven the correctMAT1-1andMAT1-2partners and environmental conditions, with recombination confirmed utilising molecular markers. This indicated that sexual reproduction might be possible in many supposedly asexual aspergilli and beyond, providing general insights into the nature of asexuality in fungi.

Accurate estimation of state of charge of lithium battery is one of the important performance parameters for safe and reliable operation of lithium battery. A fractional order second-order Thevenin equivalent circuit model was proposed by based on the improvement of the traditional Thevenin equivalent circuit model for accurately estimating the state of charge of lithium-ion battery. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the least square method easily enter into local convergence or even unable to converge, an adaptive genetic algorithm is proposed to identify the parameters of lithium battery model, and global parameter identification is carried out to improve the convergence of the algorithm. Matlab simulation shows that the parameters of fractional order model of the second-order Thevenin equivalent circuit identified by adaptive genetic algorithm are better than those of integer order model identified by least square method. Combined with extended Kalman filter, the estimation of state of charge accuracy control is realized, with the accuracy error being within 1.61%.

Adenoid hypertrophy(AH) and otitis media with effusion (OME) are both common diseases in pediatric otorhinolaryngology and are often associated with each other. Children are often diagnosed with otitis media with effusion and adenoid hypertrophy(OME/AH). Adenoids are immune lymphoid tissues of children's upper respiratory tract, and are important barriers against upper respiratory tract infections.During an upper respiratory tract infection,bacteria or viruses repeatedly stimulate immune lymphoid tissue to cause hyperplasia,and pathological hypertrophy is often accompanied by OME and other related symptoms.In recurrent or chronic OME, hyperproliferative adenoids are usually excised indicating that the two diseases may have a certain correlation. Recently,more and more studies have shown that AH plays an important role in the pathogenesis of OME in children. This article elucidates the role of AH in the pathogenesis of childhood OME from adenoid mechanical obstruction,adenoid bacterial and bacterial biofilm, adenoid local immune regulation, and IgE-mediated allergic reaction.

Multilayered combination of protective structures is an important means of effectively weakening the explosive shockwave. On this basis, a “rigid-flexible-rigid” three-layer sealed structure was proposed in this paper and two models for the sealed structure were designed. Meanwhile, internal explosion tests of the two models were conducted. One model used foam concrete as the energy absorbing material and the other used dense sand. The comparisons between the test results and the computed results obtained from the formulae were made, and the test results agreed well with the computed results. Test results showed that both models had favorable energy-dissipating capacity, and the model that used foam concrete as the energy absorbing material had a superior energy-dissipating capacity.

To explore the effect of high glucose-based peritoneal dialysis fluids on NLRP3-IL-1β in human peritoneal mesothelial cells.HMrSV5 cells (SV40 immortalized human peritoneal mesothelial cell line) were grown in type I collagen-coated dishes in DMEM/F12 containing 10% fetal calf serum (FCS). All experiments on HMrSV5 cells were performed between passages 5 and 10. The cells were divided into 7 groups: control, 1.5% dextrose, 2.5% dextrose, 4.25% dextrose, rotenone, thenoyltrifluoroacetone (TTFA), and antimycin A. Immunoblotting was used to evaluate the expression of IL-1β. Small interfering RNA (siRNA) targeting NLRP3 was used to downregulate the expression of NLRP3 and Western blot was used to evaluate the expression of IL-1β in human peritoneal mesothelial cells exposed to 4.25% dextrose. In the meanwhile, resveratrol (RSV) was used to induce autophagy, 3-methyladenine (3-MA) and siRNA against Beclin 1 or ATG5 were used to block auto-phagy, flow cytometric was used to analyze the respiring (mitotracker deep red), total (mitotracker green) and reactive oxygen species (ROS)-generating mitochondria (mitoSOX); Western blot was used to evaluate the expression of IL-1β.The IL-1β relative expressions were 0, 0.175±0.082, 0.418±0.163, 2.357±0.288, 2.642±0.358, 3.271±0.462, and 0.123±0.091, indicating that the cells exposed to high glucose-based peritoneal dialysis fluids and cells treated with mitochondria respiratory chain key enzyme complex I, and complex III inhibitors increased the IL-1β expression. And we found that NLRP3 knock-down significantly blocked the upregulation of IL-1β. In addition, the fluorescence intensity of total mitochondria and ROS-generating mitochondria in the following groups: control, negative control, RSV, 3-MA, ATG5 siRNA, Beclin1 siRNA were 1.76±0.42, 1.83±0.55, 1.85±0.62, 7.36±0.92, 5.35±0.77, 5.06±0.62 and 821.68±95.12, 868.15±102.82, 723.39±92.56, 1 660.08±113.65, 1 433.01±107.24, 1 562.36±112.88 respectively. The increased concentrations of mitochondrial ROS and IL-1β upregulation were confirmed in the inhibition but not the induction of auto-phagy. We also found that downregulation of ATG5 and Beclin1 sensitized cells for the release of IL-1β induced by MSU (monosodium urate) or nigericin which was the NLRP3 inflammasome activator. RSV treatment attentuated this effect.Long-term application of high glucose-based peritoneal dialysis fluids can trigger the consistent activation of NLRP3-IL-1β in peritoneal mesothelial cells. Timely initiation of autophagy may block the NLRP3-IL-1β activation and provide a basis for the further development of a potential therapeutic strategy for delay of chronic inflammation and peritoneal fibrosis associated with peritoneal dialysis.

A sub-population of chemoresistant cells exhibits biological properties similar to cancer stem cells (CSCs), and these cells are believed to be a main cause for tumor relapse and metastasis. In our study, we explored the role of SOX8 and its molecular mechanism in the regulation of the stemness properties and the epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) of cisplatin-resistant tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) cells. We found that SOX8 was upregulated in cisplatin-resistant TSCC cells, which displayed CSC-like properties and exhibited EMT. SOX8 was also overexpressed in chemoresistant patients with TSCC and was associated with higher lymph node metastasis, advanced tumor stage and shorter overall survival. Stable knockdown of SOX8 in cisplatin-resistant TSCC cells inhibited chemoresistance, tumorsphere formation, and EMT. The Wnt/β-catenin pathway mediated the cancer stem-like properties in cisplatin-resistant TSCC cells. Further studies showed that the transfection of active β-catenin in SOX8 stable-knockdown cells partly rescued the SOX8 silencing-induced repression of stem-like features and chemoresistance. Through chromatin immunoprecipitation and luciferase assays, we observed that SOX8 bound to the promoter region of Frizzled-7 (FZD7) and induced the FZD7-mediated activation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. In summary, SOX8 confers chemoresistance and stemness properties and mediates EMT processes in chemoresistant TSCC via the FZD7-mediated Wnt/β-catenin pathway.

Prohibitin, which can inhibit oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction, has been shown to have significant anti-inflammatory activities. Here, we investigate the effects of altering prohibitin levels in affected tissues in the interleukin-10 knockout (IL-10KO) mouse model with intestinal fibrosis. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of IL-10 on prohibitin and the role of prohibitin in intestinal fibrosis of murine colitis. After the mice were treated with IL-10, prohibitin expression and localization were evaluated in IL-10KO and wild-type (WT, 129/SvEv) mice. The colon tissue was then investigated and the potential pathogenic molecular mechanisms were further studied. Fluorescence-based quantitative polymerase chain reaction (FQ-PCR) and immunohistochemistry assays revealed a significant upregulation of prohibitin with IL-10 treatment. Furthermore, IL-10 decreases inflammatory cytokines and TGF-β1 in the IL-10KO model of Crohn’s disease and demonstrates a promising trend in decreasing tissue fibrosis. In conclusion, we hypothesize that IL-10 treatment is associated with increased prohibitin and would decrease inflammation and fibrosis in an animal model of Crohn’s disease. Interestingly, prohibitin may be a potential target for intestinal fibrosis associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

To screen the nucleic acid aptamers of the EB virus-positive nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells, we used SELEX technology and synthesized in vitro a 78-nucleotide random DNA library. We used normal nasopharyngeal epithelial cells and EB virus-positive low differentiated nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells as target to conduct 10 cycles of screening, cloning, sequencing, and identification of the aptamers. The fluorescence produced by the combination of the sub-library and the target cells gained intensity gradually with the increase in the number of screening cycles, indicating elevated binding capacity. The cluster analysis showed that the aptamers can be divided into three families, with two of the families having the common conserved sequence. In this study, by screening nucleic acid aptamers for affinity and specificity, we established an initial aptamer library for EB virus-positive nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells.

To understand the sero-prevalence of hepatitis B in general population in Beijing and provide evidence for the prevention and control of hepatitis B.A serological survey was conducted in general population aged1 year selected through multistage randomized cluster sampling in Beijing from August 2013 to February 2014. The estimated sample size was 5 200. Venous blood samples were collected from them to detect five hepatitis B serological indicators. The information about the hepatitis B immunization history and risk factors of the study subjects were collected through a questionnaire survey.A total of 6 705 people were surveyed. The sero-positive rates of HBsAg, anti-HBs, anti-HBc and total HBV infection rate were 2.74%, 44.72%, 26.91% and 26.95% respectively. The age standardized rates were 2.73%, 44.83%, 26.84% and 26.87% respectively. As for the general population, in Beijing since the prevalence rate of hepatitis B surface antigen has decreased to 2.73%,1% in children aged less than 5 years old,1% in people aged less than 25 years old.The integrated prevention and control strategy of hepatitis B had a significant effect in Beijing. We should continue to strengthen the work of adult hepatitis B vaccination.

To investigate the superiority of dynamic magnetic resonance imaging as an assessment method of pharyngeal constriction and cricopharyngeal muscle function, and introduce a new way to measure the pharyngeal constriction ratio, anteroposterior diameter of esophageal entrance and thickness of cricopharyngeal muscle in healthy volunteers.Twenty volunteers who were assessed as normal by fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing and videofluoroscopic swallowing study were included in this study. With the use of 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging, Fiesta sequence and Asset technique, the median sagittal plane and intervertebral transverse plane from C1 to C5 were scanned repeatedly. Pharyngeal constriction ratio in the median sagittal and intervertebral transverse plane, anteroposterior diameter of esophageal entrance and thickness of cricopharyngeal muscle were assessed and the data were analysed by SPSS13.0.The intervertebral transverse plane between C1 and C2 was superior in observation of pharyngeal constriction ratio in the same way that the plane between C4 and C5 was superior in cricopharyngeal evaluation. The average of sagittal and intervertebral pharyngeal constriction ratio were estimated as 0.08±0.02, 0.09±0.04 respectively and the average of thickness of cricopharyngeal muscle and anteroposterior diameter of esophageal entrance were (6.50±1.69) mm, (1.99±0.76) mm respectively.Dynamic magnetic resonance imaging was superior in assessing the function of pharyngeal constriction and cricopharyngeal muscle by scanning the swallowing process in the median sagittal and intervertebral transverse plane.

Cellulose acetate (CA) porous films were prepared by a dry-cast process from CA/acetone/nonsolvent systems. Isopropanol, ethanol, and water were used as the nonsolvents and their effects on the formation of the porous structure of the CA matrix were investigated. As acetone evaporated from the solution, the mass ratios of both CA and the nonsolvent increased, finally inducing a porous structure in the film via phase separation. Scanning electron microscopy showed that the morphology of the CA films could be significantly altered by adjusting the content of the nonsolvent in a certain range, while tensile strength and porosity of the films obtained from the solutions correlated well with the nonsolvent content, the former decreases but the latter increases with an increase in the nonsolvent dosage.

A strategy for enhancing the common-mode (CM) suppression of a band-notched UWB closed-aperture antenna is proposed. The antenna circuit consists of a differentially coplanar-waveguide-fed hexagonal-aperture antenna and a pair of wave-trapping slotline resonators for producing a 5.5 GHz notch band. The enhancement of the CM suppression was achieved by setting the dimension of the aperture along the longitudinal direction (i.e. the direction parallel to the feedlines) small enough, so that the first resonant mode of the CM half-circuit of the aperture antenna can be pushed beyond the differential-mode (DM) UWB passband. A fabricated balanced band-notched UWB antenna was measured to have a 10 dB DM passband of 3–11.2 GHz with a notch band of 5.1–6.1 GHz. Good measured CM suppression was observed with a maximum return loss of 2.9 dB in the DM UWB passband.

The physiological and quality changes of 'Cuiguan' pear stored both at room and low temperature were investigated. The results showed that soluble sugar, titratable acid and vitamine C contents decreased rapidly after harvest, which indicated that quality deterioration in 'Cuiguan' pear was a senescence process and closely related to nutrients loss. During postharvest senescence, the consumption of nutrients caused by respiration made the fruit lose their unique flavor. Meanwhile, the accumulation of active oxygen species due to inefficient scavenging capacity of SOD, CAT, POD resulted in damage of cell construction, which in turn promoted the senescence process mainly manifested as fruit softening and the formation of off-flavor. The deconstruction of cell membrane also provided the contact of PPO and polyphenolic compounds leading to flesh browning. The production of ethylene stimulated fruit respiration. Low temperature significantly inhibited the fruit senescence process, therefore refrigeration is a key to postharvest storage of 'Cuiguan' pear.

As the process of urbanization accelerated, resulting in a large number of abandoned fly ash and construction waste, which have occupied the farmland and polluted the environment. In this paper, a large number of construction waste and abandoned fly ash are mixed into the filling material in goaf, the best formula of the filling material which containing a large amount of abandoned fly ash and construction waste is obtained, and the performance of the filling material is analyzed. The experimental results show that the cost of filling material is very low while the performance is very good, which have a good prospect in goaf.

Low temperature storage of loquat significantly reduces decay incidence, however, the fruit rapidly loses its market value due to the development of flesh leatheriness. Hypobaric storage has been shown to inhibit postharvest ripening and senescence and extend shelf life of fruits and vegetables. Experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of hypobaric storage on physiological and quality attributes of loquat fruit. Loquat fruits were stored for 49 days in air (control) or at 40-50 kPa pressure at 2-4°C. Changes in fruit decay rate, quality parameters, rates of respiration and ethylene production and activities of polyphynol oxidase (PPO) and peroxidase (POD) were monitored during storage. Hypobaric storage significantly inhibited the fruit decay and loss of titratable acidity and ascorbic acid contents. The decay rate of the fruit stored at 40-50 kPa was reduced by 87%, and fruit browning and flesh leatheriness were reduced. Respiration and ethylene production increased in air within the first 14 days of storage and then declined whereas those in 40-50 kPa had significantly reduced the rates of respiration and ethylene production. POD and PPO activities increased and then reached the highest values after 14 days in air storage. Hypobaric storage reduced the increase in PPO and POD activities and delayed the onset of peak activity in these enzymes. These results suggest that hypobaric storage has potential to control fruit decay and flesh leatheriness development of loquat fruit stored at low temperature.

The effect of a postharvest application of methyl jasmonate (MeJA) on fruit decay and quality in peaches stored at 25°C were investigated. Peach fruit (Prunus persica Batsch cv Hujing) were harvested at firm-mature stage and treated with 1, 10,100 or 500 μmol/L MeJA vapor at 20 °C for 24 h before stored at 25 °C for 8 days. Changes in fruit decay rate, decay index, firmness, vitamin C, total soluble solids (TSS), total titratable acidity (TA) contents, electrolyte leakage and malondialdehyde (MDA) content were monitored during storage. The results indicated that peach fruit showed fruit decay on day 2 during storage at 25 °C.[...]

Two strains of Streptosporangium were isolated from Yunnan Province, a region of China with specific geographical conditions that contribute to its great microbiological diversity. They were identified using a polyphasic approach employing phenotypic, genotypic and phylogenetic techniques, such as study of morphological and physiological properties, cell chemistry, G+C content of the genomic DNA, DNA–DNA hybridization and phylogenetic analysis. The strains belong to two novel species of Streptosporangium on the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequencing. The results of morphological, physiological and biochemical investigations and DNA–DNA hybridization indicated that the two strains are different from known members of the genus Streptosporangium. The names Streptosporangium yunnanense sp. nov. (type strain CY-11007T=CCTCC AA 97009T=CCRC 16307T=DSM 44663T) and Streptosporangium purpuratum sp. nov. (type strain CY-15110T=CCTCC AA 97010T=CCRC 16308T=DSM 44688T) are proposed. They have been deposited in CCTCC in Wuhan.

A strain of Streptosporangium with an unusual phospholipid pattern was isolated from Yunnan Province, a region in China. The isolate, designated CY-7113T, was identified by morphological and physiological properties, cell chemistry, genomic DNA G+C content, DNA-DNA hybridization and phylogenetic analysis. Based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing, DNA-DNA hybridization, phenotypic characteristics and its unusual phospholipid pattern, it was concluded that strain CY-7113T belongs to a novel Streptosporangium species, for which the name Streptosporangium subroseum sp. nov. is proposed. Strain CY-7113T (= CCTCC 97008T = CRC 16302T) is the type strain.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the imaging characteristics of solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) in the abdomen and pelvis.Nine cases of SFT confirmed by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed in terms of computed tomography (CT, eight cases) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI, one case).SFT were located in the retroperitoneum (4/9), abdominal cavity (1/9), pelvis (4/9). Eight cases were single (8/9) and one case (1/9) with three tumors. The average tumor size of 11 lesions was 9.7 cm (4.7-20 cm). Nine tumors were round or ovoid, and two lesions were irregular. The CT value of the plain scans ranged from 33 to 43 Hounsfield units (HU, mean 37.6 HU) in five cases. Arterial-phase CT found solid parts demonstrate avid enhancement (eight cases) and five of them presented with multiple circuitous vessels along the periphery with a CT value of 68-89 HU (mean 76.6 HU). In the venous and delayed phases, enhancement was strengthened progressively. The CT values at venous (eight cases) and delayed phases (five cases) were 108-115 and 112-123 HU respectively, with averages of 109.8 and 114.8 HU. Patch or nodular no-enhanced areas were observed in eight cases during the enhanced phases. One case showed isointensity on T1-weighted images and high signal intensity on T2-weighted images accompanied by linear or curvilinear hypointense lines. Intense enhancements along with linear no-enhancement areas are seen in the arterial and venous phases.The possibility of SFT should be considered when a single or multiple masses with sharp border, inhomogeneous density or signal are detected, especially, with inhomogeneous intense enhancement in the arterial phase being maintained in the venous and delayed phases.
