Objective: This study aimed to investigate the impact of hyperandrogenism (HA) on the outcomes of ovulation induction (OI) using gonadotropin and intrauterine insemination (IUI) in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study including 415 patients undergoing OI using gonadotropin and IUI treatment between January 2018 and December 2020 at a single infertility center. Baseline characteristics, clinical and laboratory parameters, and pregnancy outcomes were investigated.Results: Among the study population, there were 105 hyperandrogenic (25.3%) and 310 non-hyperandrogenic patients (74.7%). The live birth rate was lower in the HA group than in the non-HA group, but this difference did not reach statistical significance due to the limited sample size (14.3% vs. 21.0%, relative risk=0.68; 95% CI, 0.41–1.14, p=0.153). No predictive factors for live birth were identified through logistic regression analysis.Conclusion: HA did not negatively affect the outcomes of OI using gonadotropin and IUI cycles in Vietnamese women with PCOS. The result may not be applicable elsewhere due to the large variation in the characteristics of women with PCOS across races and populations.

There is a sizeable lacuna in the literature on civil society activism in authoritarian contexts. My research aims to address this gap by offering a conceptual framework that covers two contrasting forms of activism, i.e. NGO- and citizen-led activism. In particular, the thesis provides a detailed ethnographic account of both NGO- and citizen-led activism in Vietnam and reflects upon the politics of evolving state-society relations in the same country. Analytically, drawing on the relational approach to civil society and mainstream social movement theories, the research focuses on legitimacy, autonomy, as well as formality and informality as the defining characteristics of civil society activism. This framework is applied in the context of Vietnam but arguably can be applied in other authoritarian contexts. This is because these concepts are not only grounded in theories, for they are validated and triangulated through my data collection and analysis.

Youth are the main foundation for a country. They represent the future of society, which they shape through their attitudes and behaviours. Transparency International shows that young people know that corruption is wrong, that they are willing to report on and expose corruption, and that they aspire to live in societies that are fair, transparent and rooted in integrity.

This paper presents a 2.4 - 2.48 GHz varactor-loaded transmission-line (VLTL) phase shifter used for beamforming in indoor positioning systems (IPS). The phase shifter consists of two main blocks integrated on the same substrate: a single-stage Low-noise amplifier (LNA) block and a 56 cascading low-pass networks block. A control voltage of 4 - 24 V is applied to both of these blocks for operation. The simulated results provide a continuous phase shift range of around 300 degrees with an average gain of 8.9 ± 0.4 dB. Moreover, the noise figure (NF) is maintained lower than 2.8 dB while the reflection coefficient at the input and output of the circuit yields below -15 dB. The design is implemented on 0.18 um RF CMOS technology with a core size of 4.4 mm x 3.4 mm.

This paper proposes the design of a dual-band integrated rectenna. The rectenna has compact size of 0.4 &times, 0.3 &times, 0.25 cm3 and operates at 925 MHz and 2450 MHz bands. In general, the rectenna consists of two main parts, the metal-rimmed dual-band antenna used for harvesting the radio frequency (RF) signals from the environment and the rectifier circuit to convert these receiving powers to the direct current (DC). Because of the dual resonant structure of the antenna, the rectifier circuit can be optimized in terms of size and the frequency bandwidth, while the conversion efficiencies are always obtained 60% at the RF input power &minus, 2.5 dBm and &minus, 1 dBm for the lower band and the higher band, respectively. Measured results show that the metal-rimmed antenna exhibits &minus, 10 dB reflection coefficient in both desired frequency bands. Moreover, the antenna achieves 47% and 89% of total efficiency respectively at 925 MHz and 2450 MHz, which confirms that the proposed rectenna is well applicable in most of the miniaturized wireless sensor networks and IoT systems.

Technische Mechanik; 40; 1; 22-30; ISSN 2199-9244, In the current work, the tensile properties of semi-crystalline Polyamide 6 are experimentally investigated for varying degrees of crystallinity, temperatures, and loading rates. Based on the experimental results, a phenomenological constitutive framework at finite strains is derived in a thermodynamically consistent manner. To this end, a hyperelastic-plastic intermolecular resistance and viscous molecular network resistance are considered. Non-linear kinematic and isotropic hardening as well as nonlinear relaxation behavior are incorporated, to account for the experimentally observed behavior. It is evident that the mechanical behavior of semi-crystalline polymers exhibits complex dependencies on the degree of crystallinity and the temperature. To capture these experimental findings, both quantities serve as input parameters. A staggered parameter identification scheme is proposed to obtain a unique set of material parameters. Finally, the great capabilities of the proposed framework, to accurately predict the three-dimensional, visco-hyperelastic-plastic material response are demonstrated.

International audience; This article presents the design of a dual-band rectenna with a 40 x 30 x 2 mm3 dimension. The proposed circuit operates at the 925 MHz and 2450 MHz bands in order to harvest the RF power from cellular and ISM communication system. This rectenna consists in 2 main parts such as the rectifier circuit and the metal rimmed antenna. By combining two resonance structures, the dimension of the rectifier part can be minimized while the efficiency always keeps up to 60% for all bands. Moreover, the metal rimmed antenna that is connected to the rectifier part provides a reflection coefficient of -10 dB for 925 MHz and 2450 MHz frequency bands. In addition, with the antenna, a total efficiency of 47% at 925 MHz and more than 80% at 2450 MHz is achieved, which confirm that the proposed rectenna is perfectly suitable for small IoT terminal.
